Mr. H. R. Gaikwad completed his education as part of the Earn and Learn scheme and
started his career as a Graduate Trainee Engineer (1994) in Tata Motors. While
undergoing struggle during his college days, inspired by readings of Swami Vivekananda
he formed Bharat Vikas Pratishthan in 1993.
Later he business ‘Bharat Vikas Group’ in 1997, along with Mr. Umesh Mane and
just 8 other individuals, with the aim of creating employment opportunities for
rural youth.
Left job at Tata Motors in 2001, when BVG had over 300 employees. Today BVG has
more than 75,000 employees, at more than 700 locations providing services to over 480
satisfied clients.
