Master of Ceremonies
Cindy Sherwin has been a reporter for CTV News since 1997. She’s covered a wide range of important stories,
including a flight to Haiti accompanying Canadian-adopted orphans following the earthquake, and the train
derailment in Lac Megantic. It was also very exciting for Cindy to get the opportunity to touch the Stanley
Cup! Cindy has fostered her own keen interest in social and human rights issues by producing many in-depth
reports about sex education in schools, elder abuse and special needs adults. Thanks to the inspiration of her
two scientist parents, Cindy dove into medical reporting, and won an RTDNA Award for a report on ‘Drowsy
Driving’ and a John Alexander award from the MS Society for her report ‘Multiple Choices’. A graduate of
Marianopolis College and McGill University, Cindy is well-travelled, but is a dedicated Montrealer, and has
always made this city her home.
