Forever Gone Research Paper
Forever Gone One day on a fairly cold winter on December 14,1932 in the town of Szentes in
Southeastern Hungary thirty miles from Szeged a family called the Nemeth s gave birth to a little girl
named Maria. Maria grew up to be a young playful child who loved to sing, but also when she was
older helping her grandparents in their store that they owned. When I was old enough to go to school
and the age of 12 I went to the school Szent István Gimnázium, a Hungarian secondary school for kids
12 and older, but it wasn t a ordinary school only the best of the best could go here. The only reason

grandparents died for not keeping up and my mother was shot for trying to save my dad s father. I ran
as hard as I could hoping to reach the destination we were told we were going too, or too reach the

Miseducation Of Laurry Hill Analysis
Lauryn Hill was born in South Orange, New Jersey and was the child of a teacher and computer
consultant. When growing up, Hill was always enamored by the arts and would compete in singing
competitions. After the age of 13, she met Pras Michel and Wyclef Jean , and the three formed the
band called the Fugees. The band would later go on to sell millions of album copies for the album The
Score. However, conflicts between the bandmates eventually led to the dissolution of the band. During
a hiatus, Hill took time off to focus on her pregnancy with her first child. During the pregnancy, Hill
felt inspired and began to write over thirty songs ranging from love experiences to conflicts in the
Fugees. From her experiences writing R B, gospel, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
For the track Doo Wop ( That Thing), Hill comments on self respect and how the issue of sex
dominates society. For instance with the lyrics, Don t think I haven t been through the same
predicament Let it sit inside your head like a million women in Philly, Penn It s silly when girls sell
their souls because it s in Look at where you be in, hair weaves like Europeans Fake nails done by
Koreans.Come again. Hill uses this line to show that women do not need to conform to Eurocentric
standards in order to be deemed beautiful by societal standards. With the line come again Hill is trying
to challenge women to be more than sexual objects and that women should remove the inorganic
beauty products. In Doo Wop, Hill tells men and women to avoid societal pressures and become
independent. For the track Doo Wop, the song starts with a piano, a deep bass, and a simple hip hop
beat. This sound sets the tone for the rest of the song because it intertwines classical, soul, and R B
music together. The intertwining of the different beats meshes well with the acapella style of singing
Hill uses in the song causing an earthy feel to the song. The vocals in the song are loud and powerful
which helps communicates the theme of self respect and

Master Business Administration Program Analysis

business. Currently, I own a dance competition. I feel that the program with give me an insight on how
to run my business differently and globally.
My interest in business stems from two women, my mother, a fellow woman entrepreneur, and Mary
Wells Lawrence, the first woman to own her own advertising agency. My mother showed me that
when running a business you must have a plan because without one you will have no business. She
also showed me that business has no glass ceiling. I majored in sales and marketing because of Mary
Wells Lawrence. I loved her innovative and creative approach to marketing. I wanted to the African

Mary Well Lawrence once said, If you re not satisfied with your life, it s time to invent a new one. So
I began to exploring different jobs within marketing to help me determine what I wanted my business
to be. I was a marketing and event assistant for the City of Riverdale, which I learned how to work
under pressure and think outside the box. A marketing consultant for a major sport and music event,
which I learned how to stay organized and budget. My current job is for the YMCA of Metropolitan
Atlanta as a Membership Supervisor. This job molded me to become a leader.
During undergraduate school, my grade dropped due to the sudden death of my uncle and grandfather.
These men made a serious impact on my life. My grandfather taught me how to work and to enjoy the
work you produce. My uncle taught me to work hard for what you want in life. I completely shut
down, but what I learn from that experience is to always ask for help. There is someone that has been
there who can help. In the Master Business Administration program, I will make sure I stay on the
track of my success. The steps I am going to take to assure successful contact a tutor immediately if I
am having trouble with coursework in any of my classes. Also, I will contact my professor if there is

The Things They Carried Kiowa Character Traits
Character Analysis Essay Throughout the story, The Things They Carried, written by Tim O Brien, the
author presents Kiowa as a complex and intelligent trooper by using multiple indirect and sometimes
confusing quotes like, The earth is slow, but the buffalo is patient... (O Brien 35). These mystical and
spiritual quotes/characteristics are why many readers become intrigued by him. Some of these
characterizations can be found through the character s thoughts, his actions/what he says, and what
others say about him. Overall, Kiowa was known for being a kind trooper, a man with his beliefs
straight, and a well respected human being. Numerous times in this book Kiowa indirectly
characterizes himself as a very well rounded, gentleman by what he ... Show more content on

After Kiowa s death, Jimmy Cross decides to write a letter to Kiowa s father, saying, ...what a fine
soldier Kiowa had been, what a fine human being... (157). This was the first time in this story that
Jimmy Cross had personally written a note to a family member of one of his deceased troopers, which
showed how valuable Kiowa actually was to him and the rest of the group. Along with Jimmy Cross,
Azar also openly announced his remorse for the young, dead, Native American. Although, Azar
showed it in a very hidden way by exclaiming to Norman Bowker, Listen... Those dumb jokes I didn t
mean anything. Azar was known throughout the entire book for being tough and for cracking
extremely insensitive jokes like the one about Kiowa s death, but after he saw Kiowa s body, he
immediately regretted what he said. Just like Jimmy Cross never wrote personal letters about his
trooper(s), Azar never apologized or felt remorse for his wrong doings until Kiowa s death. Both of
these characters exhibited their emotions in different ways, but in the end, they both came to the same
conclusion; Kiowa was an amazing man and did not deserve the indecent death he

Language Pedagogy And Teaching Strategies
Language Pedagogy and Teaching Strategies
Recent decades has witnessed the method of language teaching in Second Language Acquisition
(SLA) has a shift from grammar translation toward Communicative Language Teaching (CLT)
(Brandl, 2007). During the 20th century, as increased attention was paid to the demand of
communication skills, grammar translation method which emphasizing knowledge of grammatical
rules and translation activities was no longer effective (Richards Rodgers, 2001). In Australia, CLT is
a preferred approach to be adopted for second language teaching (Fernandez, 2008). Therefore, the
pedagogy of CLT incorporating an array of supportive teaching strategies will be implemented in my
LOTE teaching to ensure that all L2 learners are engaged, challenged and learning successfully.
Communicative Language Teaching
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is a method to teach modern languages that focuses on
learning to communicate. In terms of principles of CLT, Kumaravadivelu (2006, p.118) asserts that
language is a system for expressing meaning and the central purpose of language is communication . It
seems that from the perspective of CLT, language is a tool for meaningful communication. Berardo
(2006) claims that the concept of authenticity is essence to CLT including authentic materials, tasks
and language use. It is likely that the success of CLT could be achieved through implementing
authentic materials and meaning focused tasks in language teaching and

No Child Left Behind Was An Act Of Congress Proposed By...
No Child Left Behind was an act of Congress proposed by President Bush January 23, 2001. The bill
was coauthored by the following representatives: John Boehner (R OH), George Miller (D CA), and
Senators Edward Kennedy (D MA) and Judd Gregg (R NH). The purpose of this bill was to
reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act which included Title 1, a program for
disadvantaged youth. To receive federal funding schools must measure students using standardized
assessments in particular grades. Each state has developed its own standard for how a student must
perform on a given assessment. Before No Child Left Behind states took in billions of dollars for
educational funding and were not held accountable for the funds allocated to them.
Disadvantaged youth were written off as unable to be taught and they were pushed through the system
receiving little to no education. Parents were denied the ability to know if their students were
receiving quality education. Some speculate people against educational reform have incorrectly
claimed that NCLB is an unfunded mandate. Brian Riedl of the Heritage Foundation noted, NCLB is
neither unfunded nor a mandate. States are not obligated to accept funds in federal education aid
NCLB offers. If a state wishes to not be held accountable for improving student achievement, or that
prefer to do things a different way, they can simply decline the money.

Analysis Of The Story The Yellow Wallpaper By...
Clinical psychologist and writer, Kay Redfield Jamison once said, I think one thing is that anybody
who s had to contend with mental illness whether it s depression, bipolar illness or severe anxiety,
whatever actually has a fair amount of resilience in the sense that they ve had to deal with suffering
already, personal suffering. In the story, The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the
narrator has severe depression, at the very least, and knows that she can get better if she is given the
right treatment. While trying to get better, she can t help but be fixated on the yellow wallpaper in her
room. The yellow wallpaper in this story is a representation of the narrator s relationship with her
disease. The exterior portion of the wallpaper is a portrayal of the narrator s disease. At night, it
becomes bars (Gilman 15). The fact that the exterior portion of the wallpaper becomes bars at night is
symbolizing the fact that her disease is keeping her at bay and keeping her locked in, or unable to get
better, whereas during the daytime, the exterior part is normal. This relates to how at times her disease
is calm and controlled and other times, it flares up and completely controls her. The pattern is also
described as torturing. Once you think that you have the pattern mastered, it comes back to overtake
you. Whenever the narrator describes the frustrating the outside of the wallpaper is, she is illustrating
how each time she starts to get the upper

Brief Summary Of The Documentary Gamer Girl
my group decided to do our documentary on a topic that we are all passionate about. Video games and

respect and acceptance that we deserve. But the thing many don t understand is that stereotypes are the
minority, not the majority. Whilst some people fit into these categories not all people necessarily must

Although, i did have quite a bit of fun making the opening and conducting interviews, seeing the

Situational Irony In O. Henry s Ransom Of Red Chief
In Ransom of Red Chief there are two kidnappers Sam and Bill planning on kidnapping Dorsett s son.
One day they go and kidnapped the kid. Once they get the kid to the cave he starts asking a lot of
questions. Then the kid attempts to scalp Bill. They get really desperate, and they want to get rid of
him because they are tired of him. So they send a ransom letter to Dorset. Then he sends a counter
profit saying how he would want his son return to get him off their hands. Finally, Sam and Bill had to
pay Dorset for them to return his son, and they ran into the valley. In Ransom of Red Chief O. Henry
uses situational irony to create humor in his short story. It is very entertaining to see the things that
happen throughout the story because the reader does not expect those things to happen. As a result of
O. Henry using situational irony, it develops the theme crime doesn t pay. In order for the reader to
understand the theme, they need to understand situational irony and how it affects the story.
Throughout the story, there are moments when there are humorous events. In the beginning part of the
story, Sam and Bill kidnap and the boy thinks it is fun. Yes, sir, that boy seemed to be having the time
of his life. The fun of camping out in a cave had made him forget that he was a captive himself
(Henry, 2). The reader would expect someone who is kidnapped to be scared and would not be having
the time of their life. I don t have any fun at home. I hate to go to school. I

The Unique Style Of Kate Chopin s Writing
The unique style of Kate Chopin s writing has influenced and paved the way for many female authors.
Although not verbally, Kate Chopin aired political and social issues affecting women and challenging
the validity of such restrictions through fiction. Kate Chopin, a feminist in her time, prevailed against
the notion that a woman s purpose was to only be a housewife and nothing more. Kate Chopin
fortified the importance of women empowerment, self expression, self assertion, and female sexuality
through creativity in her literary work.
Kate Chopin was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, on February 8, 1850, to an affluent family. Chopin
s life had a great deal of trauma, losing her father in a railroad accident and her beloved grandmother
dying shortly after impacted her life. Kate spent the Civil War in St. Louis, a city where residents
supported both the Union and the Confederacy and where her family had slaves in the house. Chopin
married at an early age of nineteen to a wealthy French man in 1870 and the two settled in New
Orleans. Kate Chopin s writing career began with her life and experiences in St. Louis, New Orleans;
she wrote short stories, novels and so on. At Fault was Chopin s very first novel, a book about a
religious widow in love with a divorced man, which was not typical in the nineteenth century. Kate
Chopin was a daring writer, she wrote many controversial stories and books about women freedom,
sex, and extramarital affairs. For example, Chopin wrote short

Experiment to investigate factors affecting the rate of reaction between magnesium ribbon and
hydrochloric acid
Rates of Reaction: Investigation
Experiment to investigate factors affecting the rate of reaction between magnesium ribbon and
hydrochloric acid.
Chemical reactions between substances are caused by the collision of particles. More collisions mean
a quicker rate of reaction.
In the reaction between hydrochloric acid and magnesium ribbon, the chemical reaction takes place
when the magnesium ribbon is dropped into the hydrochloric acid. The products are hydrogen gas and
magnesium chloride.
The equation for this reaction is as follows:
Magnesium + Hydrochloric acid Magnesium chloride + Hydrogen
Mg (s) + 2HCL (aq) MgCl2 (aq) + ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I predict this because of collision theory.
There will be more particles in a solution of hydrochloric acid with a higher concentration than in a
lower concentration, in the same volume of liquid. This means that particles in higher concentrations
will collide with magnesium particles more frequently, therefore increasing rate of reaction i.e. a
shorter time measured for the magnesium to be used up in reaction.
I can predict that rate of reaction will increase with concentration of acid. The quicker the rate of
reaction, the less time the reaction will take to be completed.
Therefore:
Rate of reaction 1 concentration of acid
time taken to react
So...
Rate of reaction concentration
time taken to react
Plan
I am intending to react a chosen length of magnesium ribbon with different concentrations of
hydrochloric acid. I will measure the time taken for the magnesium ribbon to disappear (be used up in
reaction) with a stop clock. This will be switched on when the piece of magnesium ribbon is dropped
into the hydrochloric acid seen to be reacting with the acid i.e. producing bubbles of gas, and switched
off when the magnesium is no longer visible no more new bubbles are being produced.
Results will be recorded in a results table, with 4 readings and an average time for each concentration
value.
I will conduct a preliminary experiment to investigate the optimum length of magnesium ribbon to be
used in my experiments.

by the below parties: * Synenergy Diversified Capital committed capital of $6.25 million *
Opportunity Capital Corporation $150,000 * Opportunity Capital Partners $600,000 The $7 million is
in the form of subordinated debentures that matures in 7 years with an interest rate of 13%. This rate is
very high because subordinated debentures investors bear significantly more risk, which is a major
drawback of this form of investment since the debt might not be repaid. The biggest benefit for
Dogloo to issue subordinated debenture is that the subordination makes the debt being accounted in
the company s equity based on the balance sheet. This effectively improves the company s leverage
ratios and allows the company to obtain future loans more easily. Analysis Return on Investment OCC
and OCP together invested $750,000 into Dogloo in the form of subordinated debenture with 13%
interest rate, which guarantees them stable interest cash inflows each year (Exhibit 4). The two
investors combined ownership interest will be 0.5% of the Dogloo s equity value because the
company s equity valuation is $213 million, exceeding $80 million; this will be the cash inflow at exit
for the investors. Through calculation, the required equity value at exit is $238 million if the investors
have an estimated IRR of 25% (Exhibit 4). Conclusion Based on the

Control And Power In George Orwell s 1984
Governments are very complex systems in modern society controlling many activities throughout
individuals lives. A few of the many being simple or inmate pleasures such as chocolate and sex. In
Orwell s 1984, all sort of emotions are eliminated by the party. Throughout the book and even modern
time countries such as North Korea have we seen the smallest of pleasures being eliminated for the
sake of the country. Control and power being the prime drive of the government s to keep going on
with the country. Prime symbols are widely targeted in 1984 to further acknowledge the growth of it in
modern society. Controlling these small things have proved many adversaries that it has worked for
them and would continue to work for them if they continue with that path. The party wants all and

The Final Group Project Required Dedication
The final group project required dedication, in depth analysis and creativity regarding the video clips
and creating the paper. The paper will consist of video clips from Parks and Recreation, The Big Bang
Theory, and House. Each clip covers material or theories relating to organizational behavior. Each clip
covers a different concept and the paper will describe in detail how each concept relates to the video
being mentioned.
During the first clip chosen from the Big Bang Theory, it showed four friends (Sheldon, Leonard,
Howard, and Raj) trying to decide on where to go for dinner and a movie. They are trying to find a
location that satisfies their needs for dinner, concession stand food, and a reasonable start time for the
movie. They begin to have difficulties mostly due to one particular member of the group and the
criteria he has set. Right away there is trouble with the main characters that perfectly represents FIRO

express and receive feelings of inclusion, control, and affection (citation). During the scene, one
character Sheldon has specific criteria that needs to be met, so that he can attend the movie. Other
members of the group are trying to cater to him by only considering Sheldon Approved restaurants,
but they are not finding common ground. FIRO B theory says that effective groups are ones that have

Racism in Comedy Essay
Racism in comedy
This essay is going to discuss about racism in comedy and in addition to that it is also going to look at
whether it is acceptable for comedians to use certain racial words for example when black comedians
use the word Nigger . Also it is going to look at how different audience put up with this kind of
material, but first of all it is going to look at the actual word itself and where in the blue marble that
we call earth it originated from.
Make no mistake that slave owners came up with the word Nigger and it was only supposed to mean
an individual, who is lazy, unwise, and good for nothing, but somewhere along the history lines of
slavery the N word began to be used more as racial insult against the non white Americans ... Show

Even in today s movies black actors still portrays that stereo type of not being smart enough to make
decision of not dying first or and they are always in prison for robbing someone .
Just like how modern day comedians like Dave Chappelle and Martin Lawrence poke fun at their
government, as mentioned above that the slaves used to poke fun at their masters, but the real
catastrophe still lies in the facts that there are a few examples of actual slave humour because the
really good material was only said amongst the slaves to begin with and of course; it was never
documented. On the other hand this has far came to change as time pass by getting into the early
nineteenth century The Blackface Minstrel era were by minstrel music also known as plantation songs
came into the scene. This form of music was written by black and white song writers, and white men
would dress up and paint their faces black with coal and then start imitating blacks performing these
songs. In the later years the black entertainers also started to do the same thing by blacking out as
whites playing blacks. It seemed like its purpose was to only reinforce ugly racial stereo types.
Despite the racial attacks towards each other the minstrel shows was a blend of nock about comedy,

The Problem Of A Criminal Trial Under South Australian Law
lood. Sticky, hot, messy, awful blood. For most of us, the sight of it turns the stomach, but in the court
of law, blood can tell a lot more about a crime scene than you might think. Forensic bloodstain pattern
analysis (BPA) is the interpretation of bloodstains for the purpose of reconstructing the events that
took place in the case of violent crimes. Using the sciences of fluid dynamics and trigonometry, BPA
examiners form opinions about what did or did not happen by examining elements of the stains such
as the size, shape, distribution and location of the bloodstains. Following the analysis of the crime
scene, BPA examiners then prepare to present often critical evidence to a jury in the court of law. In
many cases including here in Australia BPA is essential and pivotal to the investigation and can
contribute greatly to the outcome of a criminal trial under South Australian law.
Bloodstain Pattern Principals
To understand how analysts interpret bloodstains, one must first understand the basic properties of
blood. Blood contains both liquid (plasma and serum) and solids (red blood cells, white blood cells,
platelets and proteins). Blood is in a liquid state when inside the body, and when it exits the body, it
does so as a liquid. However, this liquid state does not last very long after the blood leaves the body.
Except for people with hemophilia, blood will begin to clot within a few minutes, forming a dark,
shiny gel like substance that grows more solid as time

Analysis Of The Article 9 Of The Japanese Constitution
The reinterpretation of Article 9 of the Japanese Constitution is today a contentious issue within
Japanese society as well as in the global context. Through the reinterpretation, the Japan Self Defense
Forces (JSDF) were for the first time authorized to engage in acts of collective self defense. As
elaborated below, this occurred as a natural response to an evolving foreign policy status quo. This
paper provides a cursory overview of the post WWII history of Japan and posits that the confluence of
the rise of previously benign China along with a shifting U.S. strategy in Asia remain the principal
factors driving the constitutional reinterpretation. It is a calculated response which has caused Japan to
take a new angle in favor of increased military cooperation, a significant albeit justified break from the
pacifist connotations of Article 9. Japan s Recovery In the immediate wake of World War II, Japan
was a humiliated, devastated, and occupied state. Hiroshima and Nagasaki were leveled by the first
wartime application of nuclear weaponry in history, and Tokyo lay in ruins as a result of aerial
incendiary bombing. On September 2, 1945 the formalized Japanese Instrument of Surrender was
signed on the deck of the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay; with a stroke of a pen, one of the largest
maritime empires in history was extinguished. The island nation would for the next seven years be
subject to occupation, with government control temporarily ceded to U.S. forces under the Supreme

The Game Theory And Politics
Game Theory and Politics Whenever Game theory is taught at colleges, politics is one area that is
never touched upon as an application of game theory. Though game theory in international relations
and national politics has been a studied in detail in the past, there has been a recent increase in the
popularity of this study. An increasing number of game models are extensively being used in informed
studies of arms control, preservation of international peace, disarmament policies, environmental
treaties, national politics, international trade negotiations and bargaining process etc., with all the
studies sharing the assumption that all the players in the international arena are rational with respect to
the goals they seek to advance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Thus, governments will gain if they engage in international cooperation to limit expenditure on
military buildup. This problem of arms, and in general any problem of cooperation, can be explained
through the game of prisoners dilemma. Prisoner s dilemma was conceptualized by Melvin Dresher
and Merrill Flood in 195, and formalized and named by Albert Tucker. This game provides a basic
framework for the balance between cooperation and competition and therefore, is used extensively in
strategic decision making. Our example, arms race, can be modeled through this game. Two
governments, lets all them A and B decide whether to build nuclear arms or not. Thus, each has two
choices: build nuclear arms (denote by w) and not build nuclear arms (denote by n) and their
respective choices give them certain payoff. The following 2x2 matrix describes the model: B A Build
(W) Not Build (N) Build (W) (2,2) (4,1) Not Build (N) (1,4) (3,3) We can see that if both countries
agree to not build nuclear arms, they have a higher payoff than they do if they both build. However, if
they differ in their choices, then the country that chooses to build will have a power advantage over
the other and thus, a higher payoff. In the above figure, if A chooses to build and if B

The Complex Idea Of Good And The Power Of Faith
Benjy Herrmann
Paper #3
October 27, 2016
GESM 110
12:30 1:50 TTh
The Complex Idea of Good and the Power of Faith Violence, specifically with murder, is inherently
morally wrong in the vast majority of cases. But through analysis of Judah Rosenthal in Woody Allen
s Crimes and Misdemeanors, Kenny and Tub in Tobias Wolff s Hunters in the Snow, and the Grandma
and The Misfit in Flannery O Connor s A Good Man is Hard to Find, the traditional sides of good and
bad in a murder are blurred. One of the most important ideas seen throughout these pieces is the role
of faith (or lack thereof) in decisions, whether in a life or death situation or in general, and that the
question of what exactly makes a moral, good individual is not a simple one. As the idiom there is
more than meets the eye suggests, there has yet to be a completely pure, good human, despite how
they might first appear. Despite the contributions of the other characters, The Misfit is the best
character to convey these themes, as his struggle with faith in the story requires complex analysis, as
the individual presents multiple angles to both the reader and the grandmother. The Misfit is first
introduced in the first paragraph of O Connor s short story, as Grandma tells her family of the
notorious killer who has just escaped from prison (O Connor 1042). While a fair assumption, The
Misfit is immediately established as an antagonist and an immoral individual. He then is not
mentioned until right before Pitty

Golfe Juan by Raoul Dufy Essay
The selected work is Golfe Juan, an oil on canvas painted by French artist Raoul Dufy in 1927. The
painting measures 33 X 40 and is currently housed at the Marion Koogler McNay Art Museum. In the
painting, a single tree is rooted on a foreground terrace with a view of a seaside village that extends
out onto a peninsula.
Dufy utilized numerous formal elements to give Golfe Juan depth and interest. Lines are abundant in
the painting, adding depth, texture, shape, and even for separating large geographical forms such as
land and sea. In the foreground, lines are used to accentuate the features of the tree. The thin, pointed
leaves of the tree are composed of thin, straight brushstrokes of near equal length. The bark of the tree

An analogous color scheme is used as the light blue sky on the right transitions to the darker blue on
the left and then down to the water surrounding the large peninsula.
The uses of actual and visual texture manifest themselves throughout the painting. Actual texture can
be found in the thick wooded area in the right of the painting where the top of the woodland canopy is
painted in thick brushstrokes. It is also apparent in the sea, where thick, short brushstrokes give the
illusion of movement and variations in height of the waves. Although rather elementary, visual texture
can be found in the tree in the foreground, where thin, white and black lines give the appearance of
volume to the bark of the tree.
Dufy used several principles of design in his composition. First, Golfe Juan is asymmetrically
balanced with the vertical form of the center tree acting as the axis of symmetry. In the background, a
smoke stack on the left balances with the small peninsula in the sea on the right. Also, the land mass,
buildings, and foliage of the large peninsula on the left balance with the right hand branches of the
main tree, despite the fact that it is in the foreground.
The focal point of this painting is the tree that lies central on the canvas. It is also the foremost feature
in the picture with the town, sea, and intense foliage falling far behind

Educational Autobiography Essay

Educational Autobiography A lot of people think education is just something you get in school, but in
reality education comes from different places and people not just school and teachers. For example,
way before I started school I was already being educated by my parents, they taught me how to eat,
behave, use the bathroom, talk, and a lot of other things that help out in life. I started my educational
career in John F. Kennedy Elementary. I don t really remember my years there because I only went
there for Kindergarten and 1st grade. After that, I went to Sepulveda Elementary. That was a learning
experience because I had to basically be on my own for a couple of days since I was the new ... Show

Sadly to say, I didn t really have a teacher in middle school that made a big impact in my life but I
matured on my own and got my stuff together and put my work first and girls second. When I
graduated 8th grade I was so excited because I had accomplished something special but I knew that
wasn t the end but in fact a beginning to an even bigger obstacle, high school. I still remember on the
day of graduation my mom went alone because my dad was working and after I told her that this wasn
t the last time she would see me walking down for a diploma because in couple more years I would be
doing it again. That was a big deal because she never graduated high school neither did my dad
because my mom had me and they had to care for me. Then finally I made it to high school. This was
the place where everything I learned up to now would help me. My 9th grade year was really good I
met new friends that I still talk to, got good grades but other than that it was a normal year. When I
went to 10th grade I was in AOF (Academy of Finance) or Global. At first I was a little optimistic
about being in it because I didn t really know a lot of people but I stayed because I was a little curious
about the whole business stuff going on in there. It was a good decision to stay because I really enjoy
all the business related work and I am looking forward to even having some sort of a business career
later on in life. The teacher that really made an impact on me is the teacher for whom I

as well as the pharmacokinetics. Alprazolam is quite powerful and mind altering the affects that it can

Quotes For The Book Cover By Josephine Hart
The way i interpret this quotes is that it s saying that this character tries to judge people by their
aurora, or personality, instead of their physical body. I can relate this back to myself because this is
how i usually try to judge people, because you can never tell what a person has been through or
experienced by just looking at their physical appearance. While i believe wholeheartedly that the
physical appearance of a person shouldn t affect they way they are treated i agree with the way that
this character adds on the or at least how i try because when you first meet someone , before you have
a conversation with them, their physical appearance is all the information you have to go on. In a way
physical appearance is the earliest and easiest way to categorize a person. I like to think that i
personally go back ,after first making an assumption based on , and form a new opinion based on
proven facts .
How can a person be caked in there own body? I understand how someone could be caked in makeup
or dirt but your own body is something you re born into, it s your natural home. What could your body

The Black Rhinoceros By Gonzaga Manzo
History dies with every animal species that becomes extinct. For years the amount African Black
Rhinoceros has been dropping significantly; the problem may be unfixable at this point.
Unfortunately, many animals on earth are facing the same tragedy. These animals are primarily from a
time that no human kept records. They are living, breathing history that will die off because the
superior species could not protect them. In this picture by Gonzaga Manzo, the Black Rhinoceros is
being worked on in an auto shop by two stumped mechanics. They stare puzzled at the large animal,
not being able to see how to fix the problem. Extinction Can t be Fixed is printed in white letters in the
upper right corner, meaning that extinction cannot be reversed with tools found in a repair shop. In
fact, it cannot be reversed at all. Gonzaga Manzo, a Spanish artist, created this image as a part of a
campaign series for the World Wide Fund for Nature for species facing extreme extinction: the Black
rhinoceros. This powerful image was primarily to stop hunting the animals, but also to raise awareness
of the dire situation. The Black Rhinoceros has become extinct in twelve African countries. They are
being hunted for their horn, which is used in certain pain killing drugs and thus is highly sought after.
Furthermore, this is a digitally edited image, which combines real images with digital elements.
Manzo did this to create a realistic photo of the Black Rhinoceros in an auto shop, even though

Diversity And Social Justice By Paulo Freire
Diversity and Social Justice
Education is that terrain where power and politics are given fundamental expression, since it is where
meaning, desire, language. and values engage and respond to the deeper beliefs about every nature of
what it means to be human, to dream, and to name and struggle for a particular future and way of life
(Freire, 1985). Education gives people the opportunity to take part in a reflective process and find
solutions to existing societal problems. Over the course program, I have developed a deeper
understanding of adult education and literacy specifically among the underserved population. My
perceptions of adult literacy have changed from merely engaging learners with the text to a deeper
understanding of what it means to be a literate adult. Why a focus on adult literacy and education?
According to Paulo Freire, no one elects to be illiterate. One is illiterate because of objective
conditions. In certain circumstances, the illiterate man is the man who does not need to read. In other
circumstances, he is the one to whom the right to read was denied (Freire, 1985 p.13). According to
Freire s argument, it is suffice to say that as an individual or leaner perhaps, being literate is not an
individual s choice. As an adult educator aspiring to work with underserved populations among them
the Turkana community in northern Kenya, understanding the root causes of illiteracy and overall low
rates of enrolments in adult education programs is crucial

Personal Narrative-Haunted
Haunted
Today marks the four year anniversary of my brother s suicide, and once again I am haunted.
Haunted by the last conversation I had with Mike the weekend before he died. He was panicked and
overwhelmed over some issues with his job and with his landlord. He was being kind of a drama
queen, his stress way out of proportion to the problems he was facing. I wasn t worried because I
knew things would work out one way or another. I had no idea he was teetering on the edge of sanity.
Only in hindsight can we identify the warning signs we didn t notice at the time.
Haunted by the voicemail messages he left for my daughter Dolly two nights before he died. He said
he d been having a hard time and thought hearing her voice might cheer him up. In reality, he had
already made his plan and was calling to say good bye.
Haunted by the text ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I said to Dolly that we needed to call Uncle Mike after her race because he really wanted to talk to us.

threatened to sue me because Duncan s dog wouldn t stop barking while Dolly and Duncan were
running in the race, and the foggy notion that maybe I knew what had happened before I called my
parents back because it seems like I did but how could that be possible?
Haunted by the park bench across the road from the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park where I
called my parents and they told me that Mike was dead, that he had shot himself in the head with a

Don t Ban Photos Of Skinny Models
In the article Don t Ban Photos of Skinny Models , by Vanessa Friedman; who is the chief fashion
critic for the New York Times. In Friedman s article she is talking about how she doesn t want to ban
certain photos or ads of skinny models because she thinks it is wrong to say or think a skinny or thin
women s body is unhealthy by upright looking at her appearance. The purpose is that how she doesn t
want to ban certain photos or ads of skinny models because she thinks it s unnecessary to just create a
nonsense situation and also because people are just judging a skinny or slim body that may be healthy
or unhealthy. In this case the audience, most likely women disagree with Friedman because they think
they should ban photos or ads because they are unrealistic to them. Since the intended audience is
mainly women or teenagers, they have much more knowledge about why they should ban certain
photos and ads. For example, in the article where it said And then there s the 2016 Pirelli calender,
photography by Annie Leibovitz, which broke with tradition by showcasing a dozen women of
different ages and body types, most of them clothed (Friedman). That emphasized that women should
be more comfortable with themselves because everyone is beautiful in any body type, also you can
already know that Annie disagrees with Friedman because she did a showcase. The context of this
article shows how a lot of women disagree with Friedman s statement about not banning ads of skinny
models.

Forever Gone Research Paper Forever Gone One day on a fairly cold winter on December 14,1932 in the town of Szentes in Southeastern Hungary thirty miles from Szeged a family called the Nemeth s gave birth to a little girl named Maria. Maria grew up to be a young playful child who loved to sing, but also when she was older helping her grandparents in their store that they owned. • 4. Miseducation Of Laurry Hill Analysis Lauryn Hill was born in South Orange, New Jersey and was the child of a teacher and computer consultant. When growing up, Hill was always enamored by the arts and would compete in singing competitions. After the age of 13, she met Pras Michel and Wyclef Jean , and the three formed the band called the Fugees. The band would later go on to sell millions of album copies for the album The Score. However, conflicts between the bandmates eventually led to the dissolution of the band. During a hiatus, Hill took time off to focus on her pregnancy with her first child. During the pregnancy, Hill felt inspired and began to write over thirty songs ranging from love experiences to conflicts in the Fugees. From her experiences writing R B, gospel, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For the track Doo Wop ( That Thing), Hill comments on self respect and how the issue of sex dominates society. For instance with the lyrics, Don t think I haven t been through the same predicament Let it sit inside your head like a million women in Philly, Penn It s silly when girls sell their souls because it s in Look at where you be in, hair weaves like Europeans Fake nails done by Koreans.Come again. Hill uses this line to show that women do not need to conform to Eurocentric standards in order to be deemed beautiful by societal standards. With the line come again Hill is trying to challenge women to be more than sexual objects and that women should remove the inorganic beauty products. In Doo Wop, Hill tells men and women to avoid societal pressures and become independent. For the track Doo Wop, the song starts with a piano, a deep bass, and a simple hip hop beat. This sound sets the tone for the rest of the song because it intertwines classical, soul, and R B music together. The intertwining of the different beats meshes well with the acapella style of singing Hill uses in the song causing an earthy feel to the song. The vocals in the song are loud and powerful which helps communicates the theme of self respect and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The Things They Carried Kiowa Character Traits Character Analysis Essay Throughout the story, The Things They Carried, written by Tim O Brien, the author presents Kiowa as a complex and intelligent trooper by using multiple indirect and sometimes confusing quotes like, The earth is slow, but the buffalo is patient... (O Brien 35). These mystical and spiritual quotes/characteristics are why many readers become intrigued by him. Some of these characterizations can be found through the character s thoughts, his actions/what he says, and what others say about him. Overall, Kiowa was known for being a kind trooper, a man with his beliefs straight, and a well respected human being. Those dumb jokes I didn t mean anything. Azar was known throughout the entire book for being tough and for cracking extremely insensitive jokes like the one about Kiowa s death, but after he saw Kiowa s body, he immediately regretted what he said. Just like Jimmy Cross never wrote personal letters about his trooper(s), Azar never apologized or felt remorse for his wrong doings until Kiowa s death. Both of these characters exhibited their emotions in different ways, but in the end, they both came to the same conclusion; Kiowa was an amazing man and did not deserve the indecent death he ... • 8. Language Pedagogy And Teaching Strategies Language Pedagogy and Teaching Strategies Recent decades has witnessed the method of language teaching in Second Language Acquisition (SLA) has a shift from grammar translation toward Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) (Brandl, 2007). During the 20th century, as increased attention was paid to the demand of communication skills, grammar translation method which emphasizing knowledge of grammatical rules and translation activities was no longer effective (Richards Rodgers, 2001). In Australia, CLT is a preferred approach to be adopted for second language teaching (Fernandez, 2008). Therefore, the pedagogy of CLT incorporating an array of supportive teaching strategies will be implemented in my LOTE teaching to ensure that all L2 learners are engaged, challenged and learning successfully. Communicative Language Teaching Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) is a method to teach modern languages that focuses on learning to communicate. In terms of principles of CLT, Kumaravadivelu (2006, p.118) asserts that language is a system for expressing meaning and the central purpose of language is communication . It seems that from the perspective of CLT, language is a tool for meaningful communication. Berardo (2006) claims that the concept of authenticity is essence to CLT including authentic materials, tasks and language use. • 9. No Child Left Behind Was An Act Of Congress Proposed By... No Child Left Behind was an act of Congress proposed by President Bush January 23, 2001. The bill was coauthored by the following representatives: John Boehner (R OH), George Miller (D CA), and Senators Edward Kennedy (D MA) and Judd Gregg (R NH). The purpose of this bill was to reauthorize the Elementary and Secondary Education Act which included Title 1, a program for disadvantaged youth. To receive federal funding schools must measure students using standardized assessments in particular grades. Each state has developed its own standard for how a student must perform on a given assessment. Before No Child Left Behind states took in billions of dollars for educational funding and were not held accountable for the funds allocated to them. Disadvantaged youth were written off as unable to be taught and they were pushed through the system receiving little to no education. Parents were denied the ability to know if their students were receiving quality education. Some speculate people against educational reform have incorrectly claimed that NCLB is an unfunded mandate. Brian Riedl of the Heritage Foundation noted, NCLB is neither unfunded nor a mandate. States are not obligated to accept funds in federal education aid NCLB offers. If a state wishes to not be held accountable for improving student achievement, or that prefer to do things a different way, they can simply decline the money. • 10. Analysis Of The Story The Yellow Wallpaper By... Clinical psychologist and writer, Kay Redfield Jamison once said, I think one thing is that anybody who s had to contend with mental illness whether it s depression, bipolar illness or severe anxiety, whatever actually has a fair amount of resilience in the sense that they ve had to deal with suffering already, personal suffering. In the story, The Yellow Wallpaper by Charlotte Perkins Gilman, the narrator has severe depression, at the very least, and knows that she can get better if she is given the right treatment. While trying to get better, she can t help but be fixated on the yellow wallpaper in her room. The yellow wallpaper in this story is a representation of the narrator s relationship with her disease. The exterior portion of the wallpaper is a portrayal of the narrator s disease. At night, it becomes bars (Gilman 15). The fact that the exterior portion of the wallpaper becomes bars at night is symbolizing the fact that her disease is keeping her at bay and keeping her locked in, or unable to get better, whereas during the daytime, the exterior part is normal. This relates to how at times her disease is calm and controlled and other times, it flares up and completely controls her. The pattern is also described as torturing. Once you think that you have the pattern mastered, it comes back to overtake you. Whenever the narrator describes the frustrating the outside of the wallpaper is, she is illustrating how each time she starts to get the upper ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 12. Situational Irony In O. Henry s Ransom Of Red Chief In Ransom of Red Chief there are two kidnappers Sam and Bill planning on kidnapping Dorsett s son. One day they go and kidnapped the kid. Once they get the kid to the cave he starts asking a lot of questions. Then the kid attempts to scalp Bill. They get really desperate, and they want to get rid of him because they are tired of him. So they send a ransom letter to Dorset. Then he sends a counter profit saying how he would want his son return to get him off their hands. Finally, Sam and Bill had to pay Dorset for them to return his son, and they ran into the valley. In Ransom of Red Chief O. Henry uses situational irony to create humor in his short story. It is very entertaining to see the things that happen throughout the story because the reader does not expect those things to happen. As a result of O. Henry using situational irony, it develops the theme crime doesn t pay. In order for the reader to understand the theme, they need to understand situational irony and how it affects the story. Throughout the story, there are moments when there are humorous events. In the beginning part of the story, Sam and Bill kidnap and the boy thinks it is fun. Yes, sir, that boy seemed to be having the time of his life. The fun of camping out in a cave had made him forget that he was a captive himself (Henry, 2). • 13. The Unique Style Of Kate Chopin s Writing The unique style of Kate Chopin s writing has influenced and paved the way for many female authors. Although not verbally, Kate Chopin aired political and social issues affecting women and challenging the validity of such restrictions through fiction. Kate Chopin, a feminist in her time, prevailed against the notion that a woman s purpose was to only be a housewife and nothing more. Kate Chopin fortified the importance of women empowerment, self expression, self assertion, and female sexuality through creativity in her literary work. Kate Chopin was born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, on February 8, 1850, to an affluent family. Chopin s life had a great deal of trauma, losing her father in a railroad accident and her beloved grandmother dying shortly after impacted her life. Kate spent the Civil War in St. Louis, a city where residents supported both the Union and the Confederacy and where her family had slaves in the house. Chopin married at an early age of nineteen to a wealthy French man in 1870 and the two settled in New Orleans. Kate Chopin s writing career began with her life and experiences in St. Louis, New Orleans; she wrote short stories, novels and so on. At Fault was Chopin s very first novel, a book about a religious widow in love with a divorced man, which was not typical in the nineteenth century. Kate Chopin was a daring writer, she wrote many controversial stories and books about women freedom, sex, and extramarital affairs. For example, Chopin wrote short ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Experiment to investigate factors affecting the rate of reaction between magnesium ribbon and hydrochloric acid Rates of Reaction: Investigation Experiment to investigate factors affecting the rate of reaction between magnesium ribbon and hydrochloric acid. Chemical reactions between substances are caused by the collision of particles. More collisions mean a quicker rate of reaction. In the reaction between hydrochloric acid and magnesium ribbon, the chemical reaction takes place when the magnesium ribbon is dropped into the hydrochloric acid. The products are hydrogen gas and magnesium chloride. The equation for this reaction is as follows: Magnesium + Hydrochloric acid Magnesium chloride + Hydrogen Mg (s) + 2HCL (aq) MgCl2 (aq) + ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I predict this because of collision theory. There will be more particles in a solution of hydrochloric acid with a higher concentration than in a lower concentration, in the same volume of liquid. This means that particles in higher concentrations will collide with magnesium particles more frequently, therefore increasing rate of reaction i.e. a shorter time measured for the magnesium to be used up in reaction. I can predict that rate of reaction will increase with concentration of acid. The quicker the rate of reaction, the less time the reaction will take to be completed. Therefore: Rate of reaction 1 concentration of acid time taken to react So... Rate of reaction concentration

This rate is very high because subordinated debentures investors bear significantly more risk, which is a major drawback of this form of investment since the debt might not be repaid. The biggest benefit for Dogloo to issue subordinated debenture is that the subordination makes the debt being accounted in the company s equity based on the balance sheet. This effectively improves the company s leverage ratios and allows the company to obtain future loans more easily. Analysis Return on Investment OCC and OCP together invested $750,000 into Dogloo in the form of subordinated debenture with 13% interest rate, which guarantees them stable interest cash inflows each year (Exhibit 4). The two investors combined ownership interest will be 0.5% of the Dogloo s equity value because the company s equity valuation is $213 million, exceeding $80 million; this will be the cash inflow at exit for the investors. For most of us, the sight of it turns the stomach, but in the court of law, blood can tell a lot more about a crime scene than you might think. Forensic bloodstain pattern analysis (BPA) is the interpretation of bloodstains for the purpose of reconstructing the events that took place in the case of violent crimes. Using the sciences of fluid dynamics and trigonometry, BPA examiners form opinions about what did or did not happen by examining elements of the stains such as the size, shape, distribution and location of the bloodstains. Following the analysis of the crime scene, BPA examiners then prepare to present often critical evidence to a jury in the court of law. In many cases including here in Australia BPA is essential and pivotal to the investigation and can contribute greatly to the outcome of a criminal trial under South Australian law. Bloodstain Pattern Principals To understand how analysts interpret bloodstains, one must first understand the basic properties of blood. Blood contains both liquid (plasma and serum) and solids (red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and proteins). Blood is in a liquid state when inside the body, and when it exits the body, it does so as a liquid. However, this liquid state does not last very long after the blood leaves the body. Except for people with hemophilia, blood will begin to clot within a few minutes, forming a dark, shiny gel like substance that grows more solid as time ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Through the reinterpretation, the Japan Self Defense Forces (JSDF) were for the first time authorized to engage in acts of collective self defense. As elaborated below, this occurred as a natural response to an evolving foreign policy status quo. This paper provides a cursory overview of the post WWII history of Japan and posits that the confluence of the rise of previously benign China along with a shifting U.S. strategy in Asia remain the principal factors driving the constitutional reinterpretation. It is a calculated response which has caused Japan to take a new angle in favor of increased military cooperation, a significant albeit justified break from the pacifist connotations of Article 9. An increasing number of game models are extensively being used in informed studies of arms control, preservation of international peace, disarmament policies, environmental treaties, national politics, international trade negotiations and bargaining process etc., with all the studies sharing the assumption that all the players in the international arena are rational with respect to the goals they seek to advance. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Thus, governments will gain if they engage in international cooperation to limit expenditure on military buildup. This problem of arms, and in general any problem of cooperation, can be explained through the game of prisoners dilemma. Prisoner s dilemma was conceptualized by Melvin Dresher and Merrill Flood in 195, and formalized and named by Albert Tucker. This game provides a basic framework for the balance between cooperation and competition and therefore, is used extensively in strategic decision making. Our example, arms race, can be modeled through this game. Two governments, lets all them A and B decide whether to build nuclear arms or not. Thus, each has two choices: build nuclear arms (denote by w) and not build nuclear arms (denote by n) and their respective choices give them certain payoff. The following 2x2 matrix describes the model: B A Build (W) Not Build (N) Build (W) (2,2) (4,1) Not Build (N) (1,4) (3,3) We can see that if both countries agree to not build nuclear arms, they have a higher payoff than they do if they both build. However, if they differ in their choices, then the country that chooses to build will have a power advantage over the other and thus, a higher payoff. The Complex Idea Of Good And The Power Of Faith Benjy Herrmann Paper #3 October 27, 2016 GESM 110 12:30 1:50 TTh The Complex Idea of Good and the Power of Faith Violence, specifically with murder, is inherently morally wrong in the vast majority of cases. But through analysis of Judah Rosenthal in Woody Allen s Crimes and Misdemeanors, Kenny and Tub in Tobias Wolff s Hunters in the Snow, and the Grandma and The Misfit in Flannery O Connor s A Good Man is Hard to Find, the traditional sides of good and bad in a murder are blurred. One of the most important ideas seen throughout these pieces is the role of faith (or lack thereof) in decisions, whether in a life or death situation or in general, and that the question of what exactly makes a moral, good individual is not a simple one. As the idiom there is more than meets the eye suggests, there has yet to be a completely pure, good human, despite how they might first appear. Despite the contributions of the other characters, The Misfit is the best character to convey these themes, as his struggle with faith in the story requires complex analysis, as the individual presents multiple angles to both the reader and the grandmother. The Misfit is first introduced in the first paragraph of O Connor s short story, as Grandma tells her family of the notorious killer who has just escaped from prison (O Connor 1042). While a fair assumption, The Misfit is immediately established as an antagonist and an immoral individual. He then is not mentioned until right before Pitty ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In the painting, a single tree is rooted on a foreground terrace with a view of a seaside village that extends out onto a peninsula. Lines are abundant in the painting, adding depth, texture, shape, and even for separating large geographical forms such as land and sea. An analogous color scheme is used as the light blue sky on the right transitions to the darker blue on the left and then down to the water surrounding the large peninsula. Actual texture can be found in the thick wooded area in the right of the painting where the top of the woodland canopy is painted in thick brushstrokes. It is also apparent in the sea, where thick, short brushstrokes give the illusion of movement and variations in height of the waves. Although rather elementary, visual texture can be found in the tree in the foreground, where thin, white and black lines give the appearance of volume to the bark of the tree. Dufy used several principles of design in his composition. First, Golfe Juan is asymmetrically balanced with the vertical form of the center tree acting as the axis of symmetry. In the background, a smoke stack on the left balances with the small peninsula in the sea on the right. Also, the land mass, buildings, and foliage of the large peninsula on the left balance with the right hand branches of the main tree, despite the fact that it is in the foreground. • 33. Diversity And Social Justice By Paulo Freire Diversity and Social Justice Education is that terrain where power and politics are given fundamental expression, since it is where meaning, desire, language. and values engage and respond to the deeper beliefs about every nature of what it means to be human, to dream, and to name and struggle for a particular future and way of life (Freire, 1985). Education gives people the opportunity to take part in a reflective process and find solutions to existing societal problems. Over the course program, I have developed a deeper understanding of adult education and literacy specifically among the underserved population. My perceptions of adult literacy have changed from merely engaging learners with the text to a deeper understanding of what it means to be a literate adult. Why a focus on adult literacy and education? According to Paulo Freire, no one elects to be illiterate. One is illiterate because of objective conditions. In certain circumstances, the illiterate man is the man who does not need to read. In other circumstances, he is the one to whom the right to read was denied (Freire, 1985 p.13). According to Freire s argument, it is suffice to say that as an individual or leaner perhaps, being literate is not an individual s choice. As an adult educator aspiring to work with underserved populations among them the Turkana community in northern Kenya, understanding the root causes of illiteracy and overall low rates of enrolments in adult education programs is crucial ... • 34. Personal Narrative-Haunted Haunted Today marks the four year anniversary of my brother s suicide, and once again I am haunted. Haunted by the last conversation I had with Mike the weekend before he died. He was panicked and overwhelmed over some issues with his job and with his landlord. He was being kind of a drama queen, his stress way out of proportion to the problems he was facing. I wasn t worried because I knew things would work out one way or another. I had no idea he was teetering on the edge of sanity. Only in hindsight can we identify the warning signs we didn t notice at the time. Haunted by the voicemail messages he left for my daughter Dolly two nights before he died. He said he d been having a hard time and thought hearing her voice might cheer him up. In reality, he had already made his plan and was calling to say good bye. Haunted by the text ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I said to Dolly that we needed to call Uncle Mike after her race because he really wanted to talk to us. Haunted by the Girls on the Run 5K in Golden Gate Park that morning, the strange voicemail message from my parents alerting me that something was wrong, the aggressive ass hole who yelled at me and threatened to sue me because Duncan s dog wouldn t stop barking while Dolly and Duncan were running in the race, and the foggy notion that maybe I knew what had happened before I called my parents back because it seems like I did but how could that be possible? Haunted by the park bench across the road from the de Young Museum in Golden Gate Park where I called my parents and they told me that Mike was dead, that he had shot himself in the head with a shotgun. Whether I knew or not, whether I suspected or not, whether I had prepared myself for this eventuality after two earlier suicide attempts in his teens, no imagining could have ever prepared me for what it was like when it actually happened. The world opened up and swallowed me ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In Friedman s article she is talking about how she doesn t want to ban certain photos or ads of skinny models because she thinks it is wrong to say or think a skinny or thin women s body is unhealthy by upright looking at her appearance. The purpose is that how she doesn t want to ban certain photos or ads of skinny models because she thinks it s unnecessary to just create a nonsense situation and also because people are just judging a skinny or slim body that may be healthy or unhealthy. In this case the audience, most likely women disagree with Friedman because they think they should ban photos or ads because they are unrealistic to them. Since the intended audience is mainly women or teenagers, they have much more knowledge about why they should ban certain photos and ads. For example, in the article where it said And then there s the 2016 Pirelli calender, photography by Annie Leibovitz, which broke with tradition by showcasing a dozen women of different ages and body types, most of them clothed (Friedman). That emphasized that women should be more comfortable with themselves because everyone is beautiful in any body type, also you can already know that Annie disagrees with Friedman because she did a showcase. The context of this article shows how a lot of women disagree with Friedman s statement about not banning ads of skinny models. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
