I gave this presentation at the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University in 2019 within the VB036 English II course. It was focused on speaking performance.

Over the past several years, as the role of the browser has grown, rich desktop-like apps have emerged built entirely in the browser. To enable this movement, a new generation of powerful JavaScript frameworks have emerged including EmberJS, AngularJS, BackboneJS, and React. In this 30 minute crash course on front end frameworks, Bloc co-founder and CTO Dave Paola will cover the history of front end web development, the recent emergence of these new Javascript frameworks, and go over some of the pros and cons for learning them.
We'll hear from Bloc co-founder and CTO Dave Paola and Bloc Developer Christian Schlensker. Prior to Bloc, Dave was a developer at Kontagent, has over 15 years of software development experience, and has founded numerous other companies. Christian comes to Bloc from Pinchit and TAG where he was a developer. Prior to that, Christian was also a graphic designer.
In our experience, beginners are often overwhelmed by buzz words like "HTML5," "JavaScript," and "Ruby." Without an experienced guide, they can spend months going down rabbit-holes drilling into specific languages, and emerge frustrated that they can't build a real website. Dave will start by helping you visualize the front end web development landscape.

Once you understand the landscape, Dave will introduce the four major front end frameworks that have emerged over the past two years. He'll discuss the pros and cons of learning each one, from the point of view of a beginner. These four frameworks are: AngularJS, EmberJS, BackboneJS, and ReactJS.

Though still developing, Go has seen growing acceptance since its release in 2009.
Git Without Branches - Simple, Smooth, Scalable
The document discusses how Git complexity can be reduced by eliminating branches in favor of forks and pull requests. It argues that branching leads to complex strategies and processes that don't scale well. By switching to a model where every change is a pull request to a single master branch, projects can be simplified, mistakes reduced, and collaboration improved. Processor Organization
This document discusses processor organization and design. It introduces the topic and explains that it will cover choosing general characteristics of a processor like memory model, data and instruction bit width, and register file implementation. It will not cover detailed impacts of these choices or the physical realization of a processor. The document then provides background on what a processor is, common instruction set architectures, and von Neumann and Harvard computer architectures before exploring the main design decisions around memory model, data widths, instruction widths, and register files.
VHDL Building
How to manually build and simulate a VHDL project? A brief guide is provided in this presentation. GHDL was chosen to approach the goal. It is a free and open-source VHDL simulator published at https://github.com/ghdl/ghdl.

What is a processor? This is the question we are going to answer in this presentation. You do not need to have deep knowledge of computer science as the examined topic is covered rather casually. The presentation also contains a lot of illustrative pictures.

Limen Alpha Processor
This is a matter of the heart for me; introduction of my first decent soft-core processor - Limen Alpha. A dual-core 16-bit RISC processor with interrupts and hardware synchronization of its cores. Originally, it was used as a part of my high school culminating project, and later it was extended to the current state. It is open-sourced! You can examine its source code at https://github.com/dominiksalvet/limen_alpha.
This presentation was used as a project of the PA176 Architecture of Digital Systems II course and it was given at the Faculty of Informatics of Masaryk University in 2018.

Psychological safety in teams is important; team members must feel safe and able to communicate and collaborate effectively to deliver value. It’s also necessary to build long-lasting teams since things will happen and relationships will be strained.
But, how safe is a team? How can we determine if there are any factors that make the team unsafe or have an impact on the team’s culture?
In this mini-workshop, we’ll play games for psychological safety and team culture utilizing a deck of coaching cards, The Psychological Safety Cards. We will learn how to use gamification to gain a better understanding of what’s going on in teams. Individuals share what they have learned from working in teams, what has impacted the team’s safety and culture, and what has led to positive change.
Different game formats will be played in groups in parallel. Examples are an ice-breaker to get people talking about psychological safety, a constellation where people take positions about aspects of psychological safety in their team or organization, and collaborative card games where people work together to create an environment that fosters psychological safety.
