The Glaziers are an old family owned business. My grandfather was a boy just starting
school in his teens and the company made and sold glaziers back then. When I grew
up and got married, my husband worked as a glazer for years until he retired. He had
three sons, my two sisters, and my two grandsons.
It is a very unique company still making hand -made goods in the United States. It
started in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1819. It moved its manufactur ing to New York City,
Chicago, and eventually to Glaziers Heston, Ohio.
The Glaziers is still going strong today. They make many types of leather goods such
as belts, wallets, slippers, and much more. And their line of clothing has expanded
from basic jeans to polos. They even have a line of children's shoes.
The company has changed names over the years to reflect their different products and
manufacturing areas. But the name still remains the same. And the spirit continues to
live on. The company has four main factories in the United States where they make
their clothing.
Some world famous designers got their start by working with the company. Some of
these designers include Jean Paul Gaultier, John Galliano, and luggage designer Yves
Saint Laurent. Each time one of those designers opens a new fashion house it draws
in some of the attention of the world.
Many of the products are very exclusive. The company tries to keep their products a
secret. For years many of the products were only available in Europe. Th ey made a
limited amount of them, so that the quality would be kept at a high standard. They are
so good that most fashion conscious people in the world want a piece of the action.
Every year a big event happens in the United Kingdom. It is called the Glar eshute
festival. This festival is one of the most viewed events in the United Kingdom and
around the world. And John Guidance was one of the major attractions of this special
event.
This man was the founder of the company. He had many achievements during h is time
at Glaziers. Many of his inventions were revolutionary and became the talk of the town
for a long time. There is a museum at Glaziers that display all the creations that the
company has created over the years. Every year new products are put forwar d in the
line.
The company's headquarters is based in the United Kingdom. A huge factory and
showroom are situated on the Hanger Green Road in London. This factory is the
largest in the world. Other divisions are located in the Middle East. Most of the
production goes on in China and India.
The most famous member of the team is John Guidance. His achievements are world
renowned. He is a British citizen and holds a British passport. He is a born person but
was listed as an Overseas appointee of Queen Elizabe th. He started out in the British
Army and rose up the ranks to become a Lieutenant Colonel. He fought in both World
Wars.

2. During World War II, John Guidance joined the Glaziers Heston Company which was
also calling the Glaziers London. He was made the company's Chief Executive Officer.
The company started out making just steel coils. But with the help of his new
experiences, he realized that this could be used in a much better way. This led him to
the area of plastics and later came about the concept of pl astic welding.
He is responsible for the company's many awards and recognition. These have won
many hearts the world over. John Guidance is an entrepreneur by heart. He has
created numerous international businesses including a shopping center chain in the
UK and in the Middle East.
The story behind John Guidance is an interesting one and an inspiring one at that. He
is the real one. One day, he will be back where he belongs, on the green fields of
Hampshire.
