Gary Soto is a great story. A girl named Lupe is not good at sports but she finds something
athletic that she could be good at. She found marbles. She practiced until she got so good, she
won the marbles championship. For this matter, I think a possible theme in this story is to never
give, just like Lupe did. A couple reasons why, are because she practices, perseveres, and always
gives 100% effort.
