Chaos Theory Essay
Missing Figures
CHAOS
The word chaos, an enigmatic part of the vernacular, means a state without order, or the opposite of
cosmos, an ordered state. Mathematical chaos is instability and unpredictability, often seen in
nature due to its sensitivity to the random disturbances that commonly occur. This is known as
determinism; previous events heavily influence future events, and small changes eventually lead to
larger variations. Philosophically, chaos theoryimplies that everything is connected; our past
actions impact our future. Though chaotic evolution is irregular, there are rules behind its apparent
disorder that are used to study it. Studying chaos may enrich our lives and help us understand more
of our world.

One night, he ran a weather sequence a second time halfway through the regular process in order
to save time. When he came back to look at the computer s output, he saw that the second run had
diverged partway through and looked completely different (Figure 1), simply because he had
inputted a value to three decimal places instead of six.
Fig 1: Lorenz s two weather runs.
According to the present scientific convention, such a small change of one part in a thousand in
initial values should have been inconsequential. Lorenz called this vast change the butterfly effect.
He stated that an event so small as the flap of a butterfly s wings could completely alter a system
such as the atmosphere. Over a long enough period of time, a much larger event would be affected
immense storm that would have happened not happening, or vice versa. However, Lorenz
published his paper discussing this phenomenon in a meteorology journal, and consequently, chaos
theory was not immediately recognized as a new branch of mathematics.
Chaos has an underlying order to it. As PoincarГ© demonstrated, sometimes simple mathematical
equations result in much more chaotic outcomes. Disorder can often be found in the behavior of
difference equations, which model a quantity at some time. In this iterative process, which is truly
deterministic, the value of the term xn+1 is dependent on the value of xn. For example, if we have
the simple difference equation 3

Many things will be discussed in this essay. This essay will cover the topic of knowledge of basic
internet and local security applications and protocols, including high‐security password
generation. First, this essay will tell you things about the internet such as when it was created and
who created it. Key terms of the internet will be discussed too. Mainly the most important but
basic key terms of the internet, however. Also, this essay will tell you the importance of security
applications and protocols. Security applications and protocols are crucial for the use of computers
and internet. Furthermore, this essay will tell you about many of the security applications and
protocols out there and tell you what many of them do. Finally, this essay will explain what a high
security password is, its importance and how to even make a high security password.
The internet, in fact, has not been around for too long. The internet was invented in 1969, meaning
the internet has only been around for roughly forty two years. However, many people did not have
access to the internet for a while after it was invented. No single person really had access to the
internet because the internet was created by the U.S. government organization D.O.D for
government use only. So, there is no single inventor of the internet. When invented in 1969, the
internet was actually called ARPA, an acronym which stood for Advanced Research Projects

course of the short story. Farrington is oppressed by his boss and at home and he cannot stand
being controlled by his smaller boss and his monotonous work. He finds comfort in the bar,
however this comfort turns into his humiliation and anger again. His anger towards the characters

Similarities Of Mice And Rats
Rats and mice habitat and life cycles Rodents can be found everywhere on earth. Among the
several different types of rodents, the ones that mostly prefer to live near humans, being the
most numerous, are the mice and rats. They live in colonies which comprise of complex
hierarchies, wherein they form deep bonds, often putting their own lives at risk to save family
and friends. Their best habitats are cavities, holes inside walls, in sewer pipes, in stores where
foodstuffs are kept, in the fields and in garbage dumps. As a matter of fact, they love to live
anywhere food is available and is convenient for them to put up a nest. In addition, they can easily
adjust to any kind of climate and even wipe out original mammals occupying the same niche. The
differences between rats and mice Although both rats and mice appear similar to the normal

they are cared for, they possess somewhat short life span. Generally they have short gestational

food and harbourage. Mice become sexually mature and able to mate in as little as 5 weeks.
Generally, sexual maturity is reached in five to eight weeks. In captivity, mice never worry about
predators rather they do worry about hazards such as obesity, which can shorten their lives.
Similar to mice, the average life cycle of rats is about two to three years. They become sexually
matured in two to three months and can reproduce about 7 litters yearly. The gestation period for
rats is short also, about three weeks for most of the

How Does The Energy Output Of Ethanol And Determine The...
Background Information
Calorimeters are devices used to indirectly calculate the energy output of burning fuels by
measuring the changes of heat in a system which can then be converted to energy by known
mathematical relationships. This investigation seeks to calculate the energy output of Ethanol and
determine the optimal calorimeter apparatus for its combustion considering different types of
insulation and the best substance in the Calorimeter to absorb the heat of the reaction.
Alcohols are an organic compound whose molecule contains one or more of the hydroxyl
functional group ( OH) that is bonded to a carbon atom of an alkyl (Nave, 2014). When alcohol is
burnt, a combustion reaction occurs with the oxygen in the air, releasing energy in the form of heat.
The specific ethanol reaction is as follows:
(О”H = 1300 kJ/mol)
According to The First Law of Thermodynamics, the energy in a system is constant; it can be
transformed from one form to another, but cannot be created or destroyed (Purdue, 2004). Energy
in chemical reactions is released as heat, which gets transferred from a substance of higher energy,
to that of a lower energy, most commonly by conduction. Conduction occurs best with metals
because their molecules are close and they can absorb and release energy quickly, whilst mediums
like air are considered insulators because their particles are distanced (Nave, 2014).
The specific heat capacity of the substance provides a means of relating the energy

My Personal Teaching Style And My Student s Learning Styles
I thoroughly enjoyed the reading, Learning and Teaching Styles In Foreign and Second Language
Education by Richard M. Felder Eunice R. Henriques. I have related this reading selection to my
personal teaching/ learning style and my student s learning styles, but especially to one particular
student that I work with.
The students on my caseload have disabilities that range from the following: verbal, sensory,
auditory skills, and emotional and behavior disorders.
Most of my students have specific learning disabilities that relate to the basic psychological
processes that involve, understanding or using spoken or written language, which may contribute to
their ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell and to perform mathematical calculations.
One of my students, who I will refer to as, JV has a behavior disorder. It s important to note that
children with behavioral disorders do not necessarily have learning disabilities. JV is achieving
above grade level with his reading fluency, yet requires ongoing support with behavior issues. To
be specific, he is constantly making noises, will get out of his seat and roam about the room, lose
focus and begin talking about different things that interest him. It is very difficult for JV to
maintain focus for long unless a stimulating environment is provided.
I decided to reach JV by providing material that is of interest to him. Stories that relate to his
interest that he has selected are being used with instructional

Using Colorimetry To Determine The Concentration Of Copper...
Introduction: The goal of this lab was to use the technique of colorimetry to determine the
concentration of the Cupper (II) ion, Cu2+, in a sample of ore. Then a colorimeter or
spectrophotometer probe was used to determine the relationship between concentration and light
absorbance Using the known solutions of Cu2+concentrations. Points were then graphed which
allowed determination of the concentrationof the solutionwith unknown Cu2+concentration from
its absorbance measurement. A standard curves shows the relationship between two variables. In
this investigation the two variables that were showing a relationship were absorbance and
concentration. Which are used in the beer lambert law. A=bC A standard curve was used to
represent the relationship between the absorbance and concentration from that equation. Ten
different dilutions were formed. From those dilutions the concentration and absorbance was
determined. Then these values were plotted. Absorbance was plotted on the y axis and
concentration was plotted on the x axis. A straight line was formed.

Anne Sexton Housewife Essay
Anne Sexton s poetry was stark, unrestrained and personal, compared to the traditional. It
captivated her readers with its real, unique sense of style. The poems spoke of intimate, deep
experiences. Anne Sexton s poetry delves into mental illness and death by using imagery, diction
and free verse to convey isolation, depression and the search for identity.
In the poem Housewife, Anne Sexton utilizes the search for identity to delve into her own
personal feelings regarding her role as a wife and mother. She portrays this realization and search
for oneself by using many types of descriptive imagery and diction, lifelong search for identity
shaped her poetry (Crowe 1). The house is brought to life and becomes a human, It s another

Throughout the poem, the death (23 25), is repeatedly used and seen as a goal to be reached in
life whenever you decide to get there. By using those specific words, Sexton goes against the
traditional poets. Sexton and Plath both have a deep love for death and it is a frequently
discussed topic and isn t new to either of them. The word death is also repeated due to Sexton s
obsession with the idea. Death is something she craved and needed more than water, they wrote
about loneliness and alienation, and they spoke plainly about contemplating suicide (Crowe 2).
By examining the words used and Sexton s tone, you can feel her envy towards her friend by
calling her a thief (15). In Sexton s eyes, Plath stole death from her and took the one thing she

with the Chicago Bulls which we ve already tackled. Second with the Milwaukee Bucks. Trade
scenario is suggesting to send Lopez to the Bucks in exchange for Greg Monroe and Michael
Carter Williams. And lastly with the Boston Celtics. The Celtics must give up future draft picks,

Emotional Intelligence On The Early Childhood Development
Abstract
Emotional Intelligence assessments have been used to predict a person s success or failure in
regard to school, business and life. There are many studies that provide evidence of the benefits of
emotional intelligence to children, adults, parents and employees. A child s emotions are often
treated as petty, irrational and immature, when it is during childhood that children need to be taught
how to deal with emotions. The objective of this paper is to give significant evidence that there is a
benefit to beginning the introduction of emotional intelligence in the early childhood development.
Introduction
This paper is a look at the idea of introducing Emotional Intelligence (EI) to grade school children
to aid in curbing the rise of violence and bullying and providing a framework for children to
develop their ability to handle their emotions appropriately. I will begin with defining EI and its
importance.
I will look how emotional intelligence can be an important tool to assist children in dealing with
childhood challenges, it s importance in dealing with the growth of bullying and the long term
benefits of EI for adults. I will summarize why I feel if we graduate students with a strong EI to go
with their IQ, they will be better able to handle the challenges of adulthood and become
emotionally stable adults, parents and ultimately show it s influence on employees and it s role in
business.

begins to see the blind man in a different light and his mind set begins to change to admiration.

progresses, the wife begins to get sleepy and goes upstairs to change. The narrator tells us, I
wished she s come back downstairs. I didn t want to be left alone with a blind man (104). At this
point, the narrator does not know how to react to this man let alone what to say to him. His wife
is no longer there to act as the link between the two. The narrator keeps the conversation going by
offering more drinks and rolling two fat numbers (104). His wife falls asleep on the couch and
the blind man stays up with the narrator because he feels as though they had not had a chance all
night to talk. The narrator says he is glad for the company (105). He really means this when he
says it too. They continue to watch TV for a while and the narrator, sensing the quiet, tries to tell

you should try cutting out the bottom of the cups and see if you can stand on them without

Tension is the state of being stretched tight. For example if you have a piece of paper and you
try to stretch it won t this is called tension. If you cut out the bottom of a cup the tension is gone.
If you try to replace the bottom of the paper cups with something else for example, sand you can
also see that the sand replaces the bottom of the cups. The sand replaces the base to make it even
stronger than it was before. The sand s replacing the tension which causes the cups to stretch back
out again and make this experiment a lot more interesting. Compression is the last thing going on
here in this experiment. Compression is thrust, load, stress, compressing, squeezing, crushing,
weight, and heaviness. Take the paper again and after you ve used tension with it let s use
compression. If you crush the paper into a ball. This is compression. Now compression is similar

Privacy. What do you think the average American would say if you told them they have no

the information they share over the World Wide Web has little if any protection by or from the
government. Of course our government is hard at work to modernize the form of weeding out the
unsanitary to which some cenacles might call censorship. But the main question still stands, do we
have a right to privacy and is the government violating our natural freedoms, or do we need
someone to monitor the actions of our society to keep order. The question is as old as government;

This is a very debatable topic and many parents have different grounds for the extent of their child s
privacy. Some children are monitored by their parents, correcting every mistake and punishing
every misjudgment. Other parents promote more of a free spirit and trust, to teach their child
independence and develop experiences. Two are differing theories of parenting and both are
different theories of government. One assumes that humans are naturally reasonable creatures and
the other that humans are naturally emotionally driven and unreliable. So the question then goes to
nature or nurture, and are humans reasonable or erratic? So we assume that man is a combination
of both good and evil, and in doing so we assume that some level of privacy is in order but also the
government must control those who diverge from the law. The question then

arises, to what degree should citizens be left to themselves and what degree should they be
monitored? The two extrema of this argument include the State of Nature, which has been
previously described, and what is also known as the Big Brother structure. The idea that if man
were molded to be perfect from birth, they would in turn live perfect lives is an idea that has been
philosophized, debated, and dreamed of for generations of intellectuals. In almost every theorized
Utopia, there has been a certain level of censorship. Censorship in these hypothetical societies exists

The Threat Of Human Genetic Engineering
(Intro not done) Human Genetic Engineering is highly unsuccessful or sometimes not needed.
People pay thousands to eliminate traits from their offspring, however are they really getting their
money s worth if the gene is being avoided naturally. In the article The Threat Of Human Genetic
Engineering by David King, states that, The main advantage of HGE is said to be the elimination
of disease genes from a family. Yet in nearly all cases, existing technologies of prenatal and
preimplantation genetic testing of embryos allow the avoidance of actual disease. There are only a
few very rare cases where HGE is the only option. This illustrates how Human genetic engineering
shows now benefits towards medicine and health. Scientist propose that we alter our genetic code
through genetic engineering. We can remove genes we do not like and replace them with genes that
carry our trait of choice. However what they don t considered is what mutations can occur down the
bloodline, David King state s, Most scientists say that what is preventing them from embarking on
HGE is the risk that the process will itself generate new mutations, which will be passed onto future

Every individual expresses unique leadership traits and behaviors that define the way they interact
with their followers. Few business leaders have managed to make an impact on the world like that
of Sir Richard Branson. His leadership style has been analyzed by experts, and copied by managers
who wish to duplicate his success. With his unique approach to management, he has been a driving

It is the leader s responsibility to keep the followers focused on the ultimate goal. Sir Richard
Branson could improve his leadership style by preparing for situations when the mission of the
company has become more or less than exciting.
Branson s Leadership in Space Tourism
One of the most exciting and innovative projects in the world today is global space tourism.
Fittingly, the Virgin Group is at the forefront of development in this exciting new industry. Finding
success in this highly unknown frontier will surely require exceptional leadership skill and
planning (Hawn 2006). Branson would tackle this challenge by communicating his vision to his
team and continually reminding them of it throughout the duration of the project. He is the type of
leader that strives to bring his team members personal satisfaction from the success of a project.
Therefor, I believe he would make an effort to give strong positive recognition to his followers as
each major milestone in the project is reached.
Perhaps his most valuable leadership trait, Branson is excellent at communicating his vision. A
project like space tourism requires a clear and achievable vision, because no other similar project
has been successfully completed in the past. There is no leadership precedent to draw upon,
making this ambitious goal an exceptionally challenging one. Branson will need to use his
delegating skills to acquire the

Western World Monarchy
In Chapter 12 of The Rise of the Western World, the monarchy was checked by the Parliament
which eventually led to efficient property rights and economic development. Major reason power
of the monarchy was reduced was out of fear that the crown would infringe on property rights;
once the monarchy was checked property rights were deemed to be protected by Common Law.
England, similar to France and Spain, had an unchecked executive that attempted to infringe on
property rights. They were solely concerned with identifying new sources of revenue regardless of
the impact on the economy as a whole. The monarchy in England confiscated church lands and
allowed special grants and privileges and collected number of fees to increase the revenue flow

Examples Of Tribal Sovereignty
National sovereignty means that a nation is independent, it is governed by the people, and the
nation can control itself. America is an example of a sovereign nation. Tribal sovereignty is a
Native American tribe s right to govern themselves, watch over their property, regulate their
trade and businesses, make and enforce laws, and to tax,. With tribal sovereignty however, they
can not declare war, engage in foreign relations, or print and issue currency. Currently there are
about 565 sovereign tribal nations. Two hundred twenty five of these nations are in Alaska, and
the other 340 tribes are located the 48 lower states (SFI 1, downsizinggovernment.org) A tribe can
only be federally recognized as sovereign three ways, there can be an act passed in congress, they
can go through the procedures as stated in Federal Acknowledgement Process (FAP), or their can
be a decision in the United Statescourt. It is important to note that even if a tribe is sovereign, the
people of the tribe are American citizens. They can vote, hold office, pay taxes, follow laws, and
are allowed to serve in the armed forces.
Native American tribes are allowed to have casinos on their land thanks to the Supreme Courts
decision in the Cabazon vs. California case in 1987. This case came about when California
officials threatened to shut down a bingo parlor owned by the Native American tribe Cabazon on
their reservation. The supreme court said because California, and many other states at the time, did

Examples Of Foreshadowing In Julius Caesar
Foreshadowing Although Montessor s actions express the guilt side of the theme,
foreshadowing expresses the complete opposite side; satisfaction. As Montressor is leading
Fortunato through the catacombs towards his death, he is talking to Fortunato as if he is his
friend but he foreshadows Fortunato s death multiple times which Fortunato does not seem to
pick up because of how drunken he is. For example, when Fortunato s cough is getting worse,
Montressor says You are a man to be missed. For me it is no matter. We will go back; you will be
ill, and I cannot be responsible. Besides there is Luchressi which angers Fortunato into saying
Enough, the cough is a mere nothing; it will not kill me, I shall not die of a cough and Montressor

Montressor quickly changes the topic by giving Fortunato another drink so Fortunato does not
notice anything suspicious. Second example is when Montressor randomly tells the Montressor
family s motto; Nemo me impune lacessit which translates to No one hurts me with impunity .
Montessor s intentions are to punish Fortunato with impunity and he foreshadows it by telling him
a motto about punishing with impunity without making it relate to himself. Due to the fact of how
drunken Fortunato is, he does not notice what Montessor s intentions are which gives Montressor
satisfaction because he knows his plan is working perfectly. The final example of foreshadowing is

Program Evaluation Program evaluation is a tool used for evaluating and assessing a program in
place. This paper will describe program evaluation and how it can be useful for an organization
wishing to determine the efficiency, effectiveness, and the impact of a program. Five of the most
common program evaluation models will be introduced. A number of different models are used by
those who evaluate programs. This paper will describe, in detail, the success case method for
evaluations.

Five Most Common Types of Program Evaluation Models The five most common types of
program evaluations are ones that assess the program s efficiency, assess the program s design and
theory, assess the program s impact on the community or end user, assess the program s process or
implementation, and assess the need for the program.
Success Case Model for Evaluation According to Brinkerhoff (1983), success case evaluation seeks
qualitative information about a few subjects rather than seeking thinner, quantifiable data about
many subjects. The success case model derives information from those participants who have
benefited from the program according to the goals and objectives the program intends to have.
This feedback may be helpful to others who have not benefitted as well from the program. Success
cases may be studies briefly through short interviews with a few trainees or through more elaborate
approaches, such as work sample analysis, records analysis and observation (Brinkerhoff, 1983,
para. 9). Some uses of the success case method are illustrating that the program has a positive
impact, modifying and strengthening the program being evaluated, and building data collection

NURSING CAREER FOR HEALTH AND SCIENCE GRADUATES INTRODUCTION As per
your request, I am submitting this report that shows that I have identified being a registered
nurse (RN) as the best career option in the field of nursing. This report focuses on how
graduating students in this program can determine which career/job option would be best suited
for them. I have concluded my report based on the comparison of four main criteria, which
include the requirements, salary, security and working condition. I was able to collect the data
for my report through online research as well as research from textbooks and library. I have also
included an action plan for students so that they can easily work to choose between the various
job options available to them. BACKGROUND The nursing industry is a very important
industry and it forms one of the most important aspects of the overall health care industry. It has
to be noted that nurses provide some very important support functions for the doctors and
physicians and they are also very important in dealing with various types of patients. In Canada,
nursing is a very lucrative career, mostly because there is an acute shortage of nurses. Some of
the reasons include that nursing can be a very demanding job in which the nurses have to work
for long hours and they are exposed to a lot of stresses on the job, which is why many nurses tend
to quit their jobs. There is also

Hyperborean Legend Essay
There were no real evidence on the existence of an everlasting life. Humans have never went to
this extent because of aging and diseases that cause death. The reason why people are desperately
aiming for an eternal is fear of the death, more especially the unknown of what comes next. That
fear triggers many to believe there must be an upcoming of events right after death. However, this
suggests that there is no evidence of immortality, but it is a set of belief created by mankind to
reassure death, and many philosophers such as David Hume disapproved it.

The Yurok tribe, although mostly assimilated in present times, has continued to thrive and protect

the hands of western culture. The Yurok went from being a thriving people, to being assimilated,
almost to the point of ethnocide, (Kottak) and finally forced to live in a small area that was once a

they face politically and socially, and what the tribe is doing to combat these issues.
In the past, the Yurok did not have an active political system or form of social control. (Kottak)
There was no one man to lead the tribe; they did not practice chiefdom. Nevertheless, the Yurok
simply had a set of principles to which the tribe would adhere to. An example of one of these

tribe, the person who committed the act would have to pay full compensation, depending on the
severity of the act. Today the Yurok are governed by a tribal council. The tribal... Show more

Essay on The Swastika in MAUS
The Swastika in MAUS
The image of the swastika pervades Arthur Spiegelman s graphic novel MAUS. In a work where
so much of the Holocaust has been changed in some way after all, there are no humans in this
version, only cats, mice, dogs, and pigs we must wonder why Spiegelman chooses to retain this
well known emblem. To remove it entirely or replace it with another, invented symbolwould
completely disorient the reader; but some might claim that this is the effect at which Spiegelman is
aiming. I believe it is not. Rather, Spiegelman uses the swastika to subtly remind the reader that
while the guise in which events are presented may be somewhat unfamiliar, the novel is still a
narrative of the Holocaust.
The swastika, it has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But these changes help to make it more stern, more authoritarian, more evil a testament to
Spiegelman s ability to adapt this already emotionally loaded symbol.
It is with the coming of the swastika that the graphic novel becomes dark . I mean this in two
ways. First, the first chapter of the novel is rather light in its message, focusing on the beginning
of the relationship between Vladek and Anja. The swastika first appears on the frontispiece to
the second chapter, ironically titled The Honeymoon . After this point, the totalitarianism begins.
The presence of the swastika is strongest at the first time Vladek sees it. He states, on first seeing
it, It was the beginning of 1938 before the war hanging high in the center of town, it was a Nazi
flag. Here was the first time I saw, with my own eyes, the swastika. On the next page, the swastika
becomes detached from the flag and floats like an ominous moon on the horizon behind the scene
of a pogrom. Spiegelman here is milking the emotive power of the swastika for all that it is worth.
But perhaps the most interesting use of the swastika in MAUS is to be found towards the end of
the book. Anja and Vladek are attempting to hide when they come to a crossroads, and the roads
meet in the form of a swastika. Vladek tells Art: Anja and I didn t have where to go. We walked in
the direction of Sosnowiec but where to go?! It was nowhere we had

Essay On Learned Helplessness
The Effects of Uncontrollable and Unpredictable Events on Anagram Solving Learned helplessness
(LH) is related to behavior and psychological disorders found in humans and animal containing the
potential to affect their health negatively. This is often associated when an individual experiences
a sense of powerlessness after being in similar circumstances repeatedly and begins to feel as a

unpredictability behaviors in an anagram task (Winefield Tiggemann, 1978). Psychologist Seligman

may expect to spend $150 more for a small gas powered pressure washer. This combined with the
fact you have to buy detergents, gas, oil, and other things makes some people choose to go with

fact that you may spend $250 on a gas powered pressure washer or spend $100 on an electric

Water s idea that one should work through laughter, not for it , implies a deep social purpose to

Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood is a graphic novel written and designed by Marjane Satrapi, a

in 1979, to post revolutionefforts; the distinction between Islam and Islamic Fundamentalism; and
the basic underlining of specific gender roles established from Iranian patriarchy. Persepolis

The Consequences Of The English Industrial Revolution
An Industrial Revolution is when a society goes from using tools or making products by hand, to
using new sources of energy, such as coal, to power machines in factories. The consequences of
the English Industrial Revolution greatly outweighed the benefits. Factories were dangerous
and detrimental to the environment, workers were treated inhumanely, and living conditions
were unbearable due to urbanization. Factories were unsafe for workers and led to high levels
of pollution. They were filled with dust which led to health problems in workers, and the coolest
part of the ironworks was 130 degrees fahrenheit (web.bcp.org). Workers were cut, bruised, and
killed because of uncovered machine shafts. In Joseph Hebergram s testimony to the Sadler
Committee, he shares a memory from his time as a child worker: Hebergam: At the L____ Mill
where I worked last, a boy was caught in a machine and had both his thigh bones broke and from
his knee to his hip the flesh was ripped up the same as it had been cut by a knife. His hand was
bruised, his eyes were nearly torn out and his arms were broken. His sister, who ran to pull him
off, had both her arms broke and her head bruised. The boy died. I do not know if the girl is
dead, but she was not expected to live (Document 2). The vast amount of coal that was burned to
produce energy for the factories greatly increased the amount of carbon dioxide in the air, and the
smoke from the coal turned entire cities and rivers black. Factories

What Are The Advantages And Disadvantages Of Rainwater...
INTRODUCTION
It is widely known that water covers up to 70% of our planet s surface. However, we have never
been able to have enough fresh water to meet our demands. Up until now, 1.1 billion people
worldwide still lack the access to usable water sources and a total of 2.7 billion find water scarce
for at least one month of the year. (WWF) Even in a centralized industry area, the main water supply
system sometimes not able to meet the demand.
Water crisis is now a global problem. Since the 1950s till this present date the population of
world has increased into double. The use of water is increasing but the sources are constant for
safe water. The world is facing an overall of deficit of fresh water. Therefore, the need to find an
additional water resource is inevitable.

ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF THE PROJECT
In times of such crisis today, rainwater harvest is indeed a blessing. However, there is no perfect
solution for a reality problem.
Below we are going to highlight some advantage and disadvantages of rainwater harvesting.
Advantage
1.Rain water harvest relieves pressure on other water sources. In a small community such in rural
or mountain area, rainwater supply can co exist with other sources and can act as a supplement to
them. (CEF, 2013)
2.Safe, drinkable reserved rainwater can be the solution when there is a calamity or an outbreak of
safe water. It can help us prevent many diseases and epidemic to spread wide during water crises
due to the use of unclean, contaminated water.
3.Storing excess rain water during rainy season can help reduce the possibility of. Drainage
overload can also be prevented by keeping drinkable fresh water from the rainwater. Furthermore,
water from flood can also be well taken care of and utilized by the rain harvesting system.(GDRC,
2015)
4.It can help reduce soil erosion during rainy

Plutarch Controversy
Plutarch (45 120 AD), a Greek biographer and moral philosopher, is the author of Life of Antony:
an ancient source chronicling the life and dealings of Mark Antony (83 30 BC). Part of a larger
collection of biographies focused on prominent Roman and Greek figures, the Life of Antony was
intended as a character study (Fear, 2008). Plutarchwas exceedingly intrigued by the ways in which
the personalities, integrities and shortcomings of legendary men influenced the path of history. Life
of Antony is infamous for its amalgamation of history and myth (Kimball, 2000). In the modern
sense, Plutarch would not be considered a true historian. However, the source gives notable insight
into significant figures in Antony s life in particular Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt (69 30 BC). It is
considered the principal ancient source of Cleopatra s life (Fear, 2008), detailing the effect Plutarch
believed Cleopatra to have on Antony.

Organ Donation Should Not Be Mandatory
Imagine if you were in an unfortunate situation which required you to need an emergency organ
transplant. The only thing that could save your life would be an organ from another person s
body. Imagine that your loved one is dying of kidney failure and they are in dyer need of a new
kidney. There is a person who just passed away from an unknown reason, who meets the
qualifications of being a match to your family member. The only thing stopping the process of the
organ transplantis that the deceased person is not an organ donor. There s a person somewhere
who is unable to see do to something they experienced. If you are an organ donor your eyes could
be given to them so they can see. There s so many instances in our everyday lives that show just
how important it is for organ donationto be mandatory. If mandatory organ donation was made
legal this would not be a problem. In todays time, the demand for organs have sky rocketed, but
the organ supply has dropped tremendously. There are too many people on this planet for their to
be others dying from not receiving an organ. Not enough people take the time out to sign up to
donate organs. Signing up to become a organ donor is as simple as checking a box on your
license form. Being an organ donor does not quickly put an end to your life as most people may
think. It simply secures another person s life once yours has come to an end. If organ donation was
made mandatory it could say hundreds of more lives than right now. When a

Research Paper On Ray Kroc
Ray Kroc Ray Kroc was born on October 5, 1902 in Oak Park, Illinois. Kroc was only 15 when
World War One was going on, but that did not stop him from joining the force. He would
become a Red Cross ambulance driver. During his training he met a man named Walt Disney
whom he would later have a professional relationship with. Kroc knew he would be a
businessman from a young age. When he was young, his father took him to a phrenologist. This
person could ,supposedly, predict Kroc s future by reading the bumps on his hand. The

Kroc continually clashed with the McDonalds brothers over changing the formula. He decided
that he wanted full control of McDonald s. In 1967, Kroc bought out the brothers for 2.7 million
cash. This, however, did not include the original McDonald s. Without the rights to their own
name, the brother were forced to change the name of their original restaurant to The Big M.
Kroc decided to open a McDonald s one block away. By doing this he put the McDonald brothers
out of business for good. I consider Ray Kroc a business leader because he was able to overcome
multiple challenges. He also started at a very young age. To start something at a young age and
pursue it for the rest of his life, it took major dedication. He didn t just wake up one morning and
decide to do it. It was a plan from day one. Little did Kroc know when he was younger selling
lemonade in his front yard that he would someday own the largest fast food chain to ever exist.

Set up against the rampant industrialization of the 18th century, Charles Dickens classic novella A
Christmas Carol endorses the notion that all people have a responsibility to ensure the safety and
welfare of every member of society. By taking his seemingly irredeemable protagonist Ebenezer

The Ratio And Cash Ratio
Liquidity is the ability to convert any asset into cash quickly. Liquidity is important because liquid
assets can provide cash that can be reinvested into other assets when prices are low. This can also
reduce some investing risks by ensuring that an investor will be able to quickly react to market
moves. There are several ratios that are used to measure liquidity the current, quick, and cash ratios.
Essentially, the higher the current assetratio, the better. Amazon s current ratio (107%) is higher
than that of Walmart (83%) and this suggests that this company s short term assets are more readily
available to pay off the company s short term liabilities than Walmart.

A higher margin percentage indicates a higher profitability. Therefore, Amazon (27.2) would appear
to be more profitable than Walmart (24.9). In their 2013 financial report, Amazon demonstrates that
their gross profit margin has increased in 2013 compared to prior years which they attribute to their
increase in their total sales/service sales.
The operating profit margin is another quantitative measure of profitability. Investors pay close
attention to this ratio because positive and negative trends in the operating margin are attributable
to management decisions. Amazon s operating profit margin (1.0) is significantly lower than that
of Walmart (5.90). This means that a net profit of $5.90 is made on each dollar of sales at
Walmart whereas Amazon only makes a net profit of $1.00 on each dollar of sales. This indicates
that a higher proportion of Walmart s revenue is converted to operating income. Over the past few
years, Amazon s operating margin ratio has actually declined which signifies that their probability
is not improving as of resent times. In comparison, Walmart s operating margin has been consistent
or stable for the past few years.
Net profit margin is most often mentioned when discussing the profitability of a company because
investors can see a great deal from a net profit analysis For example, this measurement allows them

Right from the beginning of the story, it is misunderstood by the monster s character. Frankenstein

vulnerable and naked to society. It is said that No one is born hating another person for their skin,
or his background, or his religion. (Nelson Mandela, October 1, 1999). This quote is important
because we must understand that the monster s hatred only comes from his experiences with the

Fiber Optic Technology Essay
From the beginning, efficiency and speed in the telecommunications industry has advanced at a fast
pace owing to fiber optic technology. In 1979, AT T filled the telecommunications industry with
revolutionary ideas by developing a mode for data transmission using a light, called fiber optic
cable. This mode produced a bandwidth of 44.736 Mbps and could multiplex 672 trunk circuits on
one fiber alone (Cole, M. 2000). However, this development was merely the start of a huge
extension to telecommunications, something that would transform the industry constantly.
Although AT T brought in fiber optic technology in 1979, they weren t the first company to think of
such a creative idea. The conception of interchanging data by making use of light ... Show more

The laser was small in size than a grain of sand, but the application of fiber optics in telephony was
made possible. In 1987, an additional accomplishment in the fiber optics industry was fulfilled; this
accomplishment was the erbium doped fiber amplifier, which admitted numerous channels of light
to coexist on a single circuit. This fiber amplifier rendered sufficient channels for single fiber cable
to manage 80 million telephone calls at the same time (Greatest Achievements, 2000).
Nowadays, fiber optic technology carries data by distributing light pulses along slim strands of
plastic or glass fiber by means of a laser or light emitting diode (LED). Strands of fiber are
comprised of three major components: the core, cladding, and buffer coating. The contained by
part of the fiber is called the core. A fiber s core is the pathway where the light passes through.
Encompassing the core is optical matter called cladding. Cladding recurrently reflects light pulses
stimulating the pulses to pass through easily by way of the fiber core. The buffer coating functions
as a covering for the cladding and the core by shielding it from external elements, for example,
moisture (Fotec, 1996).
The glass fibers that constitute the core of the fiber strands employed in contemporary fiber optic
systems are generally established on pure sand. Fiber created from regular glass utilized in
windows is polluted that impurities

means that your cat trusts you and is comfortable around you because they are exposing their

The Renaissance Era Was A Prosperous Time For Art From
The Renaissance era was a prosperous time for art from the 15th century to 17th century. Europe
had reached the end of the middle ages. The middle age is often defined by characteristics such as
martial order and absolute hierarchy. European countries did not thrive in terms of technology nor
have any advancements in terms of the economy either. The Renaissanceperiod which came after
the middle age completely contrasts its preceding era. A new philosophy that later on came to be
known as humanism was rising. It is therefore necessary to discuss humanism and associated
changes to the European society of the 15th century in order to examine the cause of such a unified
movement towards the regaining of artistic significance in Europe. In... Show more content on

In consideration of the middle age, the general populace did not have the luxury of searching for
new heights in the field of art. The greatest obstacle that the community faced were the outbreak
of disease and war. This resulted in the complete and utter lack of social mobility , that is said to
have exerted with success during the Renaissance era. Without social interaction, artists would not
have had the chance to fully commit towards art. Therefore, it is not the simple fact that patrons
had supplied artists with commissions and resources, but the fact that they had established an
environment that cultivated and encouraged artists to bloom their potential. Art of the
Renaissance period is defined by the unique expression of an individual and their respective
artistic features such as posture and emotion. There was a lot of experimental attempts with new
forms and traditional forms of medium. Such an example is the engraving technique that was
widely regarded to be confined by the size of the printing frame and the type of burins. However,
artists from the Renaissance period experimented with this medium by joining two printing metal
plates together to produce a larger piece of work as well as experiment by using more than one

  • 2. Chaos Theory Essay Missing Figures CHAOS The word chaos, an enigmatic part of the vernacular, means a state without order, or the opposite of cosmos, an ordered state. Mathematical chaos is instability and unpredictability, often seen in nature due to its sensitivity to the random disturbances that commonly occur. This is known as determinism; previous events heavily influence future events, and small changes eventually lead to larger variations. Philosophically, chaos theoryimplies that everything is connected; our past actions impact our future. Though chaotic evolution is irregular, there are rules behind its apparent disorder that are used to study it. Studying chaos may enrich our lives and help us understand more of our world. Though chaos ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... One night, he ran a weather sequence a second time halfway through the regular process in order to save time. When he came back to look at the computer s output, he saw that the second run had diverged partway through and looked completely different (Figure 1), simply because he had inputted a value to three decimal places instead of six. Fig 1: Lorenz s two weather runs. According to the present scientific convention, such a small change of one part in a thousand in initial values should have been inconsequential. Lorenz called this vast change the butterfly effect. He stated that an event so small as the flap of a butterfly s wings could completely alter a system such as the atmosphere. Over a long enough period of time, a much larger event would be affected immense storm that would have happened not happening, or vice versa. However, Lorenz published his paper discussing this phenomenon in a meteorology journal, and consequently, chaos theory was not immediately recognized as a new branch of mathematics. Chaos has an underlying order to it. As PoincarГ© demonstrated, sometimes simple mathematical equations result in much more chaotic outcomes. Disorder can often be found in the behavior of difference equations, which model a quantity at some time. In this iterative process, which is truly deterministic, the value of the term xn+1 is dependent on the value of xn. For example, if we have the simple difference equation 3 , or ... • 11. How Does The Energy Output Of Ethanol And Determine The... Background Information Calorimeters are devices used to indirectly calculate the energy output of burning fuels by measuring the changes of heat in a system which can then be converted to energy by known mathematical relationships. This investigation seeks to calculate the energy output of Ethanol and determine the optimal calorimeter apparatus for its combustion considering different types of insulation and the best substance in the Calorimeter to absorb the heat of the reaction. Alcohols are an organic compound whose molecule contains one or more of the hydroxyl functional group ( OH) that is bonded to a carbon atom of an alkyl (Nave, 2014). When alcohol is burnt, a combustion reaction occurs with the oxygen in the air, releasing energy in the form of heat. The specific ethanol reaction is as follows: (О”H = 1300 kJ/mol) According to The First Law of Thermodynamics, the energy in a system is constant; it can be transformed from one form to another, but cannot be created or destroyed (Purdue, 2004). Energy in chemical reactions is released as heat, which gets transferred from a substance of higher energy, to that of a lower energy, most commonly by conduction. Conduction occurs best with metals because their molecules are close and they can absorb and release energy quickly, whilst mediums like air are considered insulators because their particles are distanced (Nave, 2014). The specific heat capacity of the substance provides a means of relating the energy ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Felder Eunice R. Henriques. I have related this reading selection to my personal teaching/ learning style and my student s learning styles, but especially to one particular student that I work with. The students on my caseload have disabilities that range from the following: verbal, sensory, auditory skills, and emotional and behavior disorders. Most of my students have specific learning disabilities that relate to the basic psychological processes that involve, understanding or using spoken or written language, which may contribute to their ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell and to perform mathematical calculations. One of my students, who I will refer to as, JV has a behavior disorder. It s important to note that children with behavioral disorders do not necessarily have learning disabilities. JV is achieving above grade level with his reading fluency, yet requires ongoing support with behavior issues. To be specific, he is constantly making noises, will get out of his seat and roam about the room, lose focus and begin talking about different things that interest him. It is very difficult for JV to maintain focus for long unless a stimulating environment is provided. I decided to reach JV by providing material that is of interest to him. Introduction: The goal of this lab was to use the technique of colorimetry to determine the concentration of the Cupper (II) ion, Cu2+, in a sample of ore. Then a colorimeter or spectrophotometer probe was used to determine the relationship between concentration and light absorbance Using the known solutions of Cu2+concentrations. Points were then graphed which allowed determination of the concentrationof the solutionwith unknown Cu2+concentration from its absorbance measurement. A standard curves shows the relationship between two variables. In this investigation the two variables that were showing a relationship were absorbance and concentration. Which are used in the beer lambert law. A=bC A standard curve was used to represent the relationship between the absorbance and concentration from that equation. Ten different dilutions were formed. From those dilutions the concentration and absorbance was determined. Then these values were plotted. Absorbance was plotted on the y axis and concentration was plotted on the x axis. A straight line was formed. Procedure: This experiment took place during two lab sessions over two weeks. Part 1 of the experiment was to determine the equation ... In the article The Threat Of Human Genetic Engineering by David King, states that, The main advantage of HGE is said to be the elimination of disease genes from a family. Yet in nearly all cases, existing technologies of prenatal and preimplantation genetic testing of embryos allow the avoidance of actual disease. There are only a few very rare cases where HGE is the only option. This illustrates how Human genetic engineering shows now benefits towards medicine and health. Scientist propose that we alter our genetic code through genetic engineering. We can remove genes we do not like and replace them with genes that carry our trait of choice. However what they don t considered is what mutations can occur down the bloodline, David King state s, Most scientists say that what is preventing them from embarking on HGE is the risk that the process will itself generate new mutations, which will be passed onto future generations. This furthers the point against human genetic engineering. With minimal research on the effects on genetic engineering there must be extensive research prior to implementation of genetic engineering, even though it s been around for some time with some restrictions. The Yurok people have strived up until the present to keep their culturealive. In this essay I will be discussing what the Yurok tribe is like today, what problems they face politically and socially, and what the tribe is doing to combat these issues. In the past, the Yurok did not have an active political system or form of social control. (Kottak) There was no one man to lead the tribe; they did not practice chiefdom. Nevertheless, the Yurok simply had a set of principles to which the tribe would adhere to. An example of one of these principle is, if a tribal member were to commit an act of violence toward another member of the tribe, the person who committed the act would have to pay full compensation, depending on the severity of the act. Today the Yurok are governed by a tribal council. The tribal... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Poverty is currently one of the biggest concerns for the Yurok tribe. Rapid growth of business, industrialization, and monopolies, contributed to the Industrial Revolution in the United States during the Progressive Era. Although some critics may believe that the government negatively impacted businesses during the Industrial Revolution, the regulations put onto businesses positively contributed to economic growth and protected the American citizens from the big businesses.Prior to the industrial revolution in America, businesses were small, family owned, and generally did not cause many problems. At the time, the largest enterprises only employed around 50 people ( Corporations ). With only small businesses up to the 1870 s, the government was able to follow laissez faire policies. However, the Industrial Revolution grew in Europe and quickly made its way to America. Businesses rapidly began to grow and monopolies formed. Robber barons, John Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, and J.P. Morgan, took advantage of the need for new industries and quickly began to ruin the country; their monopolies controlled everything. • 32. Essay on The Swastika in MAUS The Swastika in MAUS The image of the swastika pervades Arthur Spiegelman s graphic novel MAUS. In a work where so much of the Holocaust has been changed in some way after all, there are no humans in this version, only cats, mice, dogs, and pigs we must wonder why Spiegelman chooses to retain this well known emblem. To remove it entirely or replace it with another, invented symbolwould completely disorient the reader; but some might claim that this is the effect at which Spiegelman is aiming. I believe it is not. Rather, Spiegelman uses the swastika to subtly remind the reader that while the guise in which events are presented may be somewhat unfamiliar, the novel is still a narrative of the Holocaust. The swastika, it has ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... But these changes help to make it more stern, more authoritarian, more evil a testament to Spiegelman s ability to adapt this already emotionally loaded symbol. It is with the coming of the swastika that the graphic novel becomes dark . I mean this in two ways. First, the first chapter of the novel is rather light in its message, focusing on the beginning of the relationship between Vladek and Anja. The swastika first appears on the frontispiece to the second chapter, ironically titled The Honeymoon . After this point, the totalitarianism begins. The presence of the swastika is strongest at the first time Vladek sees it. He states, on first seeing it, It was the beginning of 1938 before the war hanging high in the center of town, it was a Nazi flag. Here was the first time I saw, with my own eyes, the swastika. On the next page, the swastika becomes detached from the flag and floats like an ominous moon on the horizon behind the scene of a pogrom. Spiegelman here is milking the emotive power of the swastika for all that it is worth. But perhaps the most interesting use of the swastika in MAUS is to be found towards the end of the book. Anja and Vladek are attempting to hide when they come to a crossroads, and the roads meet in the form of a swastika. Vladek tells Art: Anja and I didn t have where to go. List any examples, whether from movies, books, video games, etc., of how you know about the King Arthur legend. After many years of reading and watching fantasy books and movies, I did come across the legends of King Arthur and his knights at the round table. The first time I was introduced to the legend was when I watched Disney s The Sword in the Stone. Nobody knew his backstory, or where he came from. In part one, the book explains Merlin s early life. The Consequences Of The English Industrial Revolution An Industrial Revolution is when a society goes from using tools or making products by hand, to using new sources of energy, such as coal, to power machines in factories. The consequences of the English Industrial Revolution greatly outweighed the benefits. Factories were dangerous and detrimental to the environment, workers were treated inhumanely, and living conditions were unbearable due to urbanization. Factories were unsafe for workers and led to high levels of pollution. They were filled with dust which led to health problems in workers, and the coolest part of the ironworks was 130 degrees fahrenheit (web.bcp.org). Workers were cut, bruised, and killed because of uncovered machine shafts. In Joseph Hebergram s testimony to the Sadler Committee, he shares a memory from his time as a child worker: Hebergam: At the L____ Mill where I worked last, a boy was caught in a machine and had both his thigh bones broke and from his knee to his hip the flesh was ripped up the same as it had been cut by a knife. His hand was bruised, his eyes were nearly torn out and his arms were broken. His sister, who ran to pull him off, had both her arms broke and her head bruised. The boy died. I do not know if the girl is dead, but she was not expected to live (Document 2). The product that Toyota was introducing to the consumer was not ground breaking and did not set itself apart from any other product on the market, not only did it not set itself apart it was producing vehicles that closely resembled the competition. Toyota was losing their competitive edge of reliability because other companies were able to replicate their efficient production and reliability and have the same success they Toyota previously held. The customer base for Toyota was not growing and more of a following due to loyalty to their past performance. The company had also lost its innovative edge and with this was losing its market share. I see due to Toyota s lack of initiative by not moving more manufacturing to the US and innovation as an opportunity to enter the small car market that was previously dominated by the Japanese manufactures. With all this said Toyota still had a great reputation for producing a very reliable product, with this reputation Toyota could be one change away from becoming a major player ... Victor Frankenstein had not only created a monster but he had also created this being that is full of knowledge seeking and understanding. Right from the beginning of the story, it is misunderstood by the monster s character. Frankenstein judges his creations outer shell and in doing so he neglects his creation making the monster feel vulnerable and naked to society. It is said that No one is born hating another person for their skin, or his background, or his religion. (Nelson Mandela, October 1, 1999). This quote is important because we must understand that the monster s hatred only comes from his experiences with the lack of connections people want to make with him. Although the two have different meanings I feel that they play a vital role in a person or a monster s life. The world is full of diversity and in order to preserve, overcome, and meet our goals, we have to be a challenge and depending on how we go about on being taken out of our comfort zone determines whether you float or sink in life. • 53. Fiber Optic Technology Essay From the beginning, efficiency and speed in the telecommunications industry has advanced at a fast pace owing to fiber optic technology. In 1979, AT T filled the telecommunications industry with revolutionary ideas by developing a mode for data transmission using a light, called fiber optic cable. This mode produced a bandwidth of 44.736 Mbps and could multiplex 672 trunk circuits on one fiber alone (Cole, M. 2000). However, this development was merely the start of a huge extension to telecommunications, something that would transform the industry constantly. Although AT T brought in fiber optic technology in 1979, they weren t the first company to think of such a creative idea. The conception of interchanging data by making use of light ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The laser was small in size than a grain of sand, but the application of fiber optics in telephony was made possible. In 1987, an additional accomplishment in the fiber optics industry was fulfilled; this accomplishment was the erbium doped fiber amplifier, which admitted numerous channels of light to coexist on a single circuit. This fiber amplifier rendered sufficient channels for single fiber cable to manage 80 million telephone calls at the same time (Greatest Achievements, 2000). Nowadays, fiber optic technology carries data by distributing light pulses along slim strands of plastic or glass fiber by means of a laser or light emitting diode (LED). Strands of fiber are comprised of three major components: the core, cladding, and buffer coating. The contained by part of the fiber is called the core. A fiber s core is the pathway where the light passes through. Encompassing the core is optical matter called cladding. Cladding recurrently reflects light pulses stimulating the pulses to pass through easily by way of the fiber core. The buffer coating functions as a covering for the cladding and the core by shielding it from external elements, for example, moisture (Fotec, 1996). The glass fibers that constitute the core of the fiber strands employed in contemporary fiber optic systems are generally established on pure sand. Fiber created from regular glass utilized in windows is polluted that impurities ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Cats have their own needs and emotions, which are very different from the needs and emotions of humans or dogs. Referring back to the doggoggles , there are two things that a catdoes that people often read as they would with a dog s body language. The first one: Your cat is exposing its stomach. This is not a sign to pet your cats stomach. An exposed stomach means that your cat trusts you and is comfortable around you because they are exposing their midline, which is the most vulnerable part of their body. If your cat is exposing its stomach and you go to pet it, you will most likely be bit and scratched. The second thing: A wagging tail. When dogs wag their tails it means they are happy. The middle age is often defined by characteristics such as martial order and absolute hierarchy. European countries did not thrive in terms of technology nor have any advancements in terms of the economy either. The Renaissanceperiod which came after the middle age completely contrasts its preceding era. A new philosophy that later on came to be known as humanism was rising. It is therefore necessary to discuss humanism and associated changes to the European society of the 15th century in order to examine the cause of such a unified movement towards the regaining of artistic significance in Europe. The greatest obstacle that the community faced were the outbreak of disease and war. This resulted in the complete and utter lack of social mobility , that is said to have exerted with success during the Renaissance era. Without social interaction, artists would not have had the chance to fully commit towards art. Therefore, it is not the simple fact that patrons had supplied artists with commissions and resources, but the fact that they had established an environment that cultivated and encouraged artists to bloom their potential. Art of the Renaissance period is defined by the unique expression of an individual and their respective artistic features such as posture and emotion. There was a lot of experimental attempts with new forms and traditional forms of medium. Such an example is the engraving technique that was widely regarded to be confined by the size of the printing frame and the type of burins. However, artists from the Renaissance period experimented with this medium by joining two printing metal plates together to produce a larger piece of work as well as experiment by using more than one type of burin to carve out a metal plate at a time in order to present different types of lines onto the ...
