Ms. Petrillo Diversity Case Study
Ms. Petrillo was so traumatized by her pastoral counselor s conduct that she relocated to
Madison, Wisconsin, where she established a new domicile and from where she has no intent to
depart in any definite measure of time. The Court should deny the defendants motion to dismiss
Ms. Petrillo s case for lack of subject matter jurisdiction because Ms. Petrillo has her domicile in
Wisconsin and each defendant has its domicile in Alabama. When there is complete diversity
among the parties, a federal court may hear their case. 28 U.S.C.A В§ 1332(a) (West 2011).
Diversity refers to the parties domiciles; if opposing parties are domiciled in different states, there

All of the other evidence unequivocally demonstrates that Ms. Petrillo intended to remain in

whether she would stay in Wisconsin or move to some as yet unspecified elsewhere were
substantial enough to warrant a verbal manifestation of Ms. Petrillo s lack of intent to remain in

evidence which suggests that Ms. Petrillo does in fact intend to remain in Wisconsin. Audi

The Economy Of Oklahoma During Early Statehood
The economy of Oklahoma during early statehood, from the period 1907 to 1929 can be divided
into two main economic sectors: the economy from the land and the economy from beneath the
land. Both of the economic activities have driven and shaped Oklahoma s history from statehood to
now. Although through most of Oklahomas history the state s economy has been an extractive
economy using the resources from the land and exporting the raw products out of the state for
modest, yet profitable returns.
As the United States grew in the beginning of the 20th century the demand for meat was always
needed. Fortunately for the young state of Oklahoma the prairie lands of the Great Plains were a
perfect area to feed the numerous heads of animals sent to the butchers that fed America. In
1907, there were 1,206,800 animals within Oklahoma; nearly all farmers in every country of
Oklahoma raised hogs (Goins and Goble, 171). Oklahoma s ranching economy changed in the
youthful years of statehood as the profession of ranching became more commercialized with
intent to maximize the meat per hoof, which would increase the profit margins (Baird and
Goble, 194). One way the ranchers maximized the meat per hoof was the replacement of Spanish
breed longhorn cattle for the heartier English breed, Hereford (Baird and Goble, 194). Herefords
were raised in such numbers that many referred to Oklahoma as Hereford Heaven (Goins and
Goble 172) . As mentioned before plains of Oklahoma were ideal for grazing

A Student At The College Of William And Mary
I am writing to you today as a student at the College of William and Mary. I am in an International
Security class and recently we studied the events occurring in Syria. As you are well aware, the
situation in Syria has been dramatically deteriorating in recent months with the rise of the Islamic
State of Iraqand the Levant (ISIL) and the recent entrance of Russia into the conflict. Syria,
meanwhile, has been in the midst of a ravaging civil war since the early spring of 2011.
Currently, the government of Syria is led by President Bashar al Assad, a member of the Syrian
Ba ath Party, a branch of the same Ba ath Party that Saddam Hussein was also a member of. This
similarity may lead some to think that Syria will end up like Iraq, with a... Show more content on

This led to various sectarian strifes among the countries in the Middle East. Since Russia started
bombing, they have mostly targeted anti Assad rebels, rather than ISIL which they stated they were
bombing. I propose to include Russia in the current coalition, led by the United States, which also
include Australia, Bahrain, Canada, France, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab
Emirates, United Kingdom. There will have to be negotiations in order to get Russia to
cooperate so they do not go rogue and bomb targets that are supported by the West and other
countries in the coalition. By having Russia in the coalition and working with the United States,
there will be a greater oversight of their operations and more transparency among the nations.
This will help with making strategic attacks so ISIL can be degraded and destroyed and also so
the Assad regime will finally relinquish power to a democratic government. There also must be
targeted strikes upon ISIL s main sources of income: oil reserves. Although this may harm
potential future capabilities of Syria or Iraq to drill for oil, it will severely disrupt the income of
ISIL so that they will not be able to buy the resources necessary to fight against the governments
and to maintain the territory which it has already conquered. Next, in order to quell

Air Conditioner Installation in Mansfield, TX
When it is time for a new air conditioner installation in Mansfield, TX, you will want to carefully
consider your options. After all, the unit you select will be one that you will live with for a number
of years.
Proper Sizing
Ensuring the right size air conditioner is selected for your home is a task for the installer.
Unfortunately, wrong sized units are a common occurrence throughout the U.S. An undersized unit
will run excessively, increasing the electric bill, and increasing the need for air conditioning repair
as the unit wears out prematurely. On the other hand, an over sized unit will fail to run long enough
to remove excess humidity from the indoor air. Excessive humidity causes you to feel hotter than it
actually is, affecting your comfort and promoting the growth of mold indoors. Ensure you receive

Deviance Is Socially Constructed
Deviance is any behavior that does not conform to social expectations. The statement, Deviance is
socially constructed means that because individuals that rebel against the norms of social group,
and use deviant behavior, others will join in and this creates a whole new social group. For
instance, gay marriage. This has always been considered something wrong and people shouldn t
do it. Although, people started to become deviant and say that it isn t wrong and that people
should be able to love who they so please. Now, since the summer of 2015, gay marriage has been
legalized all across the nation and all of these people fit under one social group. Deviance is
relative because the rules for each group vary, so in that case it is relative

The Multi-Store Model
Multi store model and the working memory theories show how the brain receives and transfers
information. A neurons are nerve cell that are building blocks for the nervous system. Which
specialized in transmitting information in the form of a stimulus throughout the body and brain in
a chemical or electrical form that the brain can handle and then store the information in the brain
system.
Multi store model of memory
Literature review 450 Words
Richard Atkinson and Richard Shiffrin were the first two to reveal how the human memory works
in 1982, and they design the multi store model. According to them both information is stream
through the memory system then separated into a set of stages for the information to be stored. The
three stages of process for the memory are sensory memory, short term memory and long term
memory. Each stage of the process, there are limitations in the terms of capacity, duration and
encoding.

four separate department to our working memory in short term memory. Which are the central
executive, phonological loop, visuo spatial sketchpad and episodic buffer. The central executive
controls the three features and holds no information, just distributes information. As for
phonological loop consists of two separate stores department which are the phonological store that

Gender Identity Disorder, Identity, And The Basis For A...
Transsexuality has been variously constructed throughout the latter part of the twentieth century as
a psychiatric disorder, identity category, and the basis for a political movement. Throughout history
transsexualism was discursively constituted through each of these frameworks of reference, in
which different psycho medical assertions were employed to conceptualize trans identities. Today
transsexuality, also known as genderidentity disorder (GID), represents a term that is medically
used to categorize and diagnose individuals who show a strong and persistent cross gender
identification and discomfort with their anatomical sex. For example, an individual that believes
that his and or her assigned sex at birth conflicts with their psychological gender, and is likewise
preoccupied with getting rid of their sex characteristics is an individual who suffers from GID. In
response to the medicalization of transsexualism, much of society s current legal and social
understanding of trans persons has become rooted in the ongoing medico scientific discourse.
Moreover, modern day transsexualism has been historically and socio medically constructed
through the growing demand for self expression and transformation, which correspondingly
challenges the sex and gender regime of the West.
The term transsexual first appeared in the scientific literature work of Magnus Hirschfled in 1923.
He is considered one of the most noted men to have greatly contributed to the medical advancement

Cardiac Muscle Analysis
A heart is made from Cardiac muscles which are only found in the heart, this muscles share
similarities with skeletal muscles, but they also have special properties which include automaticity
and unlike skeletal muscles, the heart does not have to be stimulated by nerves to contract. This is
because action potentials begin spontaneously in the pacemaker region in the right atrium and
spread through the ventricles in an automatic, rhythmic cycle in the heartall cardia cells can
depolarise and repolarise. This type of actions in the heart occur spontaneous and in a rhythmic
fashion, which causes a normal heart beat to occur. Normal heart beat is maintained by pace
maker cells which are in the sinoatrial node in a mammalian heart (in a frog s heart the sinus
venosus have similar functions like the sinoatrial node). There are also pacemaker cells I the
atrioventricular node their cycles are slow therefore they are overridden by cells of sinoatrial node

legacy. The way society is systemized today is the result of a millennia of years of victories and
failures. Social change is a blessing of humanity where the basic traits of expression, belief, greed

Having connections to one another increases the desire to fight, which also increases the
chances of winning a revolution. This can be seen when peasants and the Bourgeoisie of the
Third Estate of France unite and break away from the Estates General to form the National
Assembly. The National Assembly would not have formed and if the peasants and the
Bourgeoisie did not collaborate on their thoughts of being the least privileged amongst the other
two estates. Similarly Maria Teresa, leaving her friends from prison, assures herself that the
connection will continue. It does not go away because you leave. And I begin to understand the
revolution in a new way (Alvarez 253). Being connected to peers in the same society, even with
those who are not supposedly well reputed, gives real purpose to the goals that are going to be
accomplished. Connections are never deteriorated when they are formed. Just because one leaves
a situation, it does not mean one leaves forever. Maria Teresa understands the revolution in a new
way in that befriending assumed criminals in her prison cell gives her more perspective on who
the revolution really is for. Even though the revolution is supposedly for everyone suffering from
the government s oppression, the revolution can delve into justice for those who really need it. In

Isolation In M. L. Stedman s The Light Between Oceans
The chains of the decision wrap themselves insidiously around his torso, binding the man while the
woman sits smiling in the corner ignoring his pleas. Sometimes the cold metal shifts and loosens
its harsh grip when the child rests her small hands on them or the woman gets up and whispers in
his ear, but never long enough to let him forget. Just like these constraints, Tom Sherbourne faces
suffocating guilt about failing to report Lucy and Frank s mysterious arrival to Janus and

However, Tom originally found solace in the removal from society as it helped ease the
memories of the war and his childhood with its simplicity and predictability. As the couple

miles away. Unlike if Tom were on the mainland where it is much more difficult to escape the
constant reminder of their choice, he manages to subdue his restless conscience at times so that
isolation lulls him with music of the lie (159). Isabel experiences a similar effect brought on by
the years of seclusion. During her cathartic visit with Ralph, Isabel admits to the powerful force

Vce Essay Comparison Two Artists
Compare the ideas, techniques and approaches of two ceramic artists from different periods
(Alan Peascod and Bernard Leach). Australian ceramics has experienced an exciting evolution
over the past 60 years, when ceramics was first offered as a full time course at RMIT in 1947. At
that time, the high priests of pottery were Shoji Hamada o f Japan, and Bernard Leach in the UK,
who shared similar philosophies and aesthetic values. Leach wrote The Potters Book which was to
become the bible , or text of choice for the many tertiary institutes around Australia who were
opening up ceramic courses to satisfy the growing demand for training in what was seen to be an
alternative career path in Australian arts during the post WWII years.... Show more content on

The strong cultural influence of his early potting years in Japan remained evident in Leach s work
throughout his life, Leach having said he believed that: Oriental forms transcend mere good looks
(Retrieved on 4 July 1020 from http://www.aber.ac.uk/museum/collections
/collectingceramics.shtml). Having said that, there is evidence that Leach also identified with the
wholesome, rustic character of medieval English pottery. This fusion of Japanese and English
aesthetics and attitudes was also embraced by early potters in Australia, filtering through to some
of Peasod s very early works when he trained in the Anglo Eastern tradition under Rushforth at
ESTC then under Les Blakeborough at Sturt Gallery Studio. However in the early 1970 s time
spent in Egypt established in Peascod a lifetime love affair with the ancient forms, colours and
luster techniques found there. This passion and natural affinity remained evident in Peascod s work
throughout all his productive life. From a contemporary perspective, current ceramic artists might
challenge that Leach s domestic wares were categorized as craft, and this is an age old debate that
has gained momentum since the 1980 s when ceramicists began producing work which questioned
the categories and boundaries of art and craft and claimed ground for the sculptural and conceptual
in ceramics ......... declaring(ing) the right to continue a tradition of contemplative and emphatically
non utilitarian ceramic forms .

Management Theories Of Management Theory
Management Theories Evolution
Management practice cannot exist without the support of a theory. The complex character of
management as the scholarly discipline, the variety of opinions concerning the essence and content
of management theory, require systematizing knowledge about this phenomenon. Management
theory is a relatively new science since its systematic development and academic research has
started mostly in the 20th century. Although it is difficult to name the most important theories and
principles of management developed throughout all the history of management theory, since such
views can be quite subjective, basing on the research it is possible to point out the ones that made
the most considerable contribution to its development. This essay will tackle some of the key
management milestones and point out their peculiarities, importance, and possible limitations.
Evolution of Management Theory: Five Important Milestones
In the 20th century, the science of management emerged and evolved due to the necessity to solve
practical problems in the sphere of production, therefore, there was an active study of elective
forms and methods of management, and the profession of a manager became a separate activity
requiring corresponding skills and knowledge.

Federico Fellini. Cambridge, UK: Cambridge University Press. The Films of Federico Fellini
examines the career and work of Italy s most revered filmmakers. By analyzing the masterpieces
of Fellini, the book attempts to categorize the influence of his work, and explain some of his
interests in fantasy, the irrational, and individualism. Bondanella essentially rejects more
common ways of analyzing Fellini s work and favors trying to explore the development of his
unique and personal cinematic style. Bondanella highlights some of the major accomplishments

work is his ability to tell the story of Fellini by using the works of the filmmaker. In particular,
Bondanella is able to draw on a new archive of manuscripts, obtained from Fellini and his
scriptwriters. This level of in depth analysis allows researchers to get a detailed view of Fellini s

teaching is a career path that has become rather unwanted by graduates. This is understandable,
since teaching has become a profession notorious for low salaries and poor treatment. As a result,
teaching has become an underrated profession, and teaching is one of the lowest paying

result, the value of the US dollar has decreased, meaning that it takes more money to purchase
products, while teachers salaries have not increased enough to compensate for this higher cost of
living. Additionally, in some states, the average base salaryof teachers simply increased less than
it did in previous years (The Increase). Also, teaching is one of the lowest paying professions in

Why Fear Plays From The World Of Bull Riding Or Motorcycle...
The mental game; every athlete must play the mental game and it s especially prevalent within
the world of bull riding or motorcycle racing. When I ponder my days of riding bulls (for a short
period) and now racing motorcycles, the one key emotion that sticks out like a broken bone
from an arm after a bad crash is most certainly fear. With these two sports, fear is the prevailing
emotion that the athletes feed off of and at times, attempt to suppress and control. It s key to
understand why fear plays such a major role when looking at these sports objectively. Think
about what might happen. The repercussions range from some bruises and broken bones to death
and permanent disfigurement. So it is very natural for the athlete to have to deal with the fear of
what might go wrong . There are countless times that when it came time for me to slide onto my
bull, fear would completely overwhelm me. I was not just forced, but completely pushed into a
middle state of panic. All of a sudden my vision narrowed, my breathing became very quick and
my pulse could be felt in my temples; racing well over 100 beats per minute. Because of this
reaction to fear I usually walked away defeated because I was unable function; I was frozen. It
must be understood that fear is a very natural reaction as the human brain tends to want to
preserve itself. However, fear can often hold athletes like bull riders or motorcycle races back
because we forget the task at hand: doing the very best we

The Iranian Foxtrot The 2009 Iranian presidential election and its aftermath is characterized by a
strange power dynamic between Ayatollah Khamenei s and the people where Khamenei is
constantly testing their reaction to his dictatorial action, seeing what he can get away with. After
choosing the president with no regard for the votes and levying threats at anyone who protested,
Khamanei listened to what the opposition has to say, allowing them to voice their opinion in many
circumstances. This pattern in Khamenei s action seems to reoccur in the elections aftermath,
creating a cycle in which he carries out an outrageously repressive action, and then is attentive to
the people dissent towards it. This constant pushing and pulling dynamic... Show more content on

During the height of the protests on January 14th, 2010, pro reform professor at Shahid Beheshti
University Javid Etaat s challenged Khamenei directly in a broadcasted debate. He argued that
calling the Green Movement a velvet revolution implied that the regime was admitting to being a
dictatorship, because a velvet revolution by definition characterizes revolts against dictatorships. By
issuing this challenge over the airwaves, Etaat forced the government to either admit people cannot
achieve their goals through the institutions the system offers...and face real revolution, or allow the
constitution its democratic principles to prevail (39). Sure enough, Khamenei stopped calling the
protests a velvet revolution and started calling them fatneh, or troubles. He started treating them as
such too. Following a situation where Khamenei was initially suppressing the voice of the
opposition, he ultimately returned to an attentive role and responded to the people s

DRONES
Have you ever seen a drone or now what they are? Drone are a human craft without a piolet but
UAV are ground base controlled. I will be arguing why the government should or should not use
drones in everyday life because of military, changes the way we do things, to spy on people, and
in agricultural. First, we have heard that the new of the united states presence talking about the
Middle East, you will hear a topic very frequently worry with drone recognition. The government
will be involved in the process of trying to use drone technology in warfare. We have read
information about the usages of drone missiles attacks on bad people with was done by drones.
In warfare, the usage of drone technology will be increasing. Now drones are not gathering
information, but are used to operate in combat ( The uav , 2012, P1). With the use of advances
in technology quickly being developed, companies are now starting to develop an opportunity to
size them. They are starting to build their own things to use for was but also for people in today s
world (Wolfgang, 2012, P1). Next, drones which are known as UAVs (Un manned Aerial
Vehicles), are vehicles that do not need a person physically being there to use drones.
There are several different ways to control the use of a drone. First, drones can be controlled with
the use of a remote control and also they can be use by other technology. Also, a drone can

Pros And Cons Of Universal Health Care
To be or Not To be: A comprehensive in depth review addressing the various sides of providing
Americans with a Universal Healthcare system and weighing its Pros and Cons.
33 million people in the United States did not have healthcare in 2014, according to the US
census bureau. America, one of the richest nations in the world does not provide healthcare for its
citizens. Although, so many nations do. Healthcare is a basic right that should be provided for by

For the basis of this argument, I will focus on key pros and cons.
By instituting a right to health care the U.S. could possibly lower cost, and make health care
services more affordable for everyone. According to a 2012 study, using a single payer system,
in which all citizens are guaranteed a right to health care, total public and private health care
spending could be lowered by $592 billion and up to 1.8 trillion over the next decade due to
lowered administrative and prescription drug cost. The cost of healthcare in America has
increased ( Health Affairs). A study done by Consumer reports in 2012 stated that paying for
health care is the top financial problem for US households. In Light of health care s expanding
costs, many Americans are delaying or not receiving treatment, as well as having trouble paying for
care. According to a study done by the American Journal of Public Health, Canada, a country that
provides universal health care, spends half as much per capita on health care as the U.S. The
American Medical Association has made a claim stating that, on average, private health insurance
plans spends 11.7% of premiums on administrative cost vs. 6.3% spent by public health programs.
On the contrary, providing universal

The Weaknesses Of Democracy
Perhaps one of the biggest challenges that democracy facing is that most of the people are not able

My Christian Beliefs
In my opinion, people have the right to choose, to believe, and to live their lives the way that
they want to. And I ve chosen how to live mine. My viewpoints on life guides my morals and
what I consider right and wrong, just as everyone else does. My spirituality gives me a sense of
purpose and drives my decisions about who I wantto be and what I will do with the rest of my life. I
chose to help others, because I believe that is where I can do the most good.
Many people believe and argue free will does not exist. Despite my Christian views and knowing
that God knows what choices I am going to make, I also know that He lets us make our own

Grant Wood’s American Gothic Essay
Grant Wood s American Gothic is one of the most famous paintings in the history of American art.
The painting brought Wood almost instant fame after being exhibited for the first time at the Art
Institute of Chicago in 1930. It is probably the most reproduced and parodied works of art, and
has become a staple within American pop culture. The portrait of what appears to be a couple,
standing solemnly in front of their mid western home seems to be a simplistic representation of
rural America. As simple as it sounds, when looking deeper into this image, it reveals something
much more complex. The first thing to notice about this painting is how incredibly involved and
realistic the brushwork is. The couple s faces are so delicately... Show more content on

It is almost a reflection of the man s trident. That same pitchfork shape also appears in the
window of the house that sits in between both figure s heads. Repetition can also be seen in the
dotted pattern of the woman s outfit, which also appears in the material of the curtain that hangs
in the house s window. The echo of verticals in this painting is also strong. The faces and bodies
of the figures seem to be stretched, and narrowed. The pitchfork s slender prongs and the green
stripes on the man s shirt also add to the elongation of their frame. The copious amounts of
vertical wood boards that make up the house and the barn, keep the viewer s eye moving up and
down the picture plane. Wood s use of verticality in this painting is overwhelming. There is also
a striking luminosity to the painting. The man and the woman s faces appear to slightly glow,
as if you can really see the reflection of the sun beaming off of their skin. This was achieved by a
complex method of applying glazes. Wood would apply a layer of oil paint, allow it to dry, and
then varnish it. This tedious process would be repeated numerous times. It was a process
perfected by the 16th century Venetian painter, Titian. The series of glazes seems to have created
an overwhelming sense of depth and radiance within the paint. Wood s use of glazes is not the
only reference to early Italian painters. It is clear that Wood was inspired by Northern

Water Should Be Clean And Safe For Consumption
Introduction
Water is a crucial part of life; the human body is made up of 75 percent water, (Pandey, 2005). It
is one of the most pivotal nutrients in the human body due to its functions like carrying nutrients in
and out of cells in living creatures. Water is also essential in the removal of waste products from
the body and also in the regulation of body temperature in warm blooded organisms, (Pandey,
2005). Research has revealed that human beings can live without food for a month, but they cannot
last more than seven days without water; if the body loses more than ten to fifteen percent of
water, it can be fatal and lead to death, (Pandey, 2005). Due to the vital nature of this resource,
water should be clean and safe for consumption ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As such sanitation and hygiene contribute immensely to the burden of health such countries.
Countries with such vulnerabilities with respect to lack of clean and safe water are predisposed to
water related diseases such as cholera, dysentery, and diarrhea, this is from a United Nations report
which also stated that these diseases have a potential to stifle growth, (Pandey, 2005). Research
reports on the impact of water related illnesses reveal that thousands of outbreaks occurs and are
mostly due to bacterial parasitic and virus microorganism; these outbreaks occur mainly due to the
consumption of untreated water.
The world health organization in the year 1996 estimated that every eight seconds, a person would
die due to illness that emanates from drinking unsafe water; this means that over five million
people die of such illnesses annually which is a very high number considering the advances made
with respect to water pollution control. An important portion of the health burden caused by water
related diseases can be attributed to the way water resources are managed and developed; some of
the resources being cited include dams and irrigation schemes. These resources increase incidences
of Malaria, schistosomiasis, Japanese encephalitis in areas they have been established, (Pandey,
2005). Drinking and bathing in dirty water are by far the most common means through

The Parent Child Relationship
In many books whatever the literary genre they belong to, the topic of the parent child relationship
is often something used and represented. This relation can be represented in different ways
depending on the author and the genre but also depending on the effects it will have on the
readership and on its goal in the story. A very simplistic and legal definition of what a parentchild
relationship is can be given through the biological links. However, sometimes the relationship
between a parental figure such as an adoptive father/motherand its child is not that easy to
understand especially because a link which is different and sometimes stronger than the
biological one is created. This is why depending on which parental figure one refers to, parent
child relationships can be chaotic, a source of suffering or helpful and harmonised such as the
ones in Stephen King s The Shining. They can be represented as a form of unconditional love,
involving sometimes to risk one of the parent s life and to brave dangers like in Joseph Sheridan
Le Fanu s Carmilla. They can be completely omnipresent and terrible like the ones in Mary
Shelly s Frankenstein or they can be very confusing as it is the case in John Ajvide Lindqvist s
Let the Right One In. By studying the representations of the relationships between four fathers and
their children this essay will try to see how the almost scientific definition of the relation can be
applied to some characters of these books and how a more

Comparing The Lottery And One Friday Morning
The Lottery by Shirley Jackson
There are two stories that are used in the 1940s unit: The Lottery and One Friday Morning .
Though One Friday Morning by Langston Hughes has great symbolism, The Lottery by Shirley
Jackson is the best short story to keep in the 1940s unit, because there is a lot of imagery, the
mood is very clear, and the suspense hooks the reader.
The first reason why The Lottery is the best short story to keep in the 1940s unit is because it has a
very clear mood. In particular, The Lottery by Shirley Jackson has a very clear mood, because of
this passage, By now, all through the crowd there were men holding the small folded papers in their

Summary and Reflection of Nihon Furisode Hajime by...
On Sunday, March 9, 2014, I had a great opportunity to watch Nihon Furisode Hajime, a Kabuki
play held in Kabukiza theatre in Tokyo, Japan. The production was written by the pen name
Chikamatsu Monzaemon whose actual name is Nobumori Sugomori. The play was formerly
created for the puppet theatre, Bunraku, and was first staged in Osaka in 1718. Also, it was first
performed in Kyoto after it has immediately reformed to Kabukiduring the same month.
Nihon Furisode Hajime is a fictional story about the fight between an eight headed serpent and
Susanoo. As a yearly ceremonial, the townspeople brought Princess Inada to the Izumo Mountain,
the site where the annual sacrifice for the serpent is dedicated. The serpent, disguised as an ugly
princess, was attracted to jars full of sake before she was able to attack Princess Inada. Knowing
that the sake wine will weaken the serpent, a hero named Susanoo used set up the jars of sake wine
as a trap against the serpent. Susanoo then attacked and defeated the drunken eight headed serpent
and saved Princess Inada.
There are three main characters in the production. The first main character of the play is Princess
Iwanaga. She is a jealous woman whose spirit has become the eight headed serpent. Due to her
insecurities of being called ugly, she threatens and demands the villagers to send her every year the
body of the most beautiful girl in town. Another important character named Princess Inada is a

Explain The Structure Of The Respiratory System
P6 describe the structure and function of the respiratory system
The nasal cavity (it can also be known as the nasal fossa) is a large air filled space above and
behind the nose in the middle of the face. Each cavity is the continuation of one of the two nostrils.
This picture shows us where the nasal cavity can be found in the body.
The epiglottis is a flap that is made of elastic cartilage tissue covered with a mucous membrane,
attached to the entrance of the larynx. It projects obliquely upwards behind the tongue and the
hyoid bone, pointing dorsally. There are taste buds on the epiglottis.
The image shows where the epiglottis can be found in the body.
The pharynx is an organ found in vertebrates and invertebrates. In humans the pharynx is part of the
digestive system and also of the conducting zone of the respiratory system. The conducting zone
also includes the nose, larynx, trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles, and their function is to filter,

This refers to the process of Oxygen and Carbon Dioxide moving between the lungs and blood.
Diffusion occurs when molecules move from an area of high concentration to an area of low
concentration. This occurs during gaseous exchange as the blood in the capillaries surrounding
the alveoli has a lower oxygen concentration of Oxygen than the air in the alveoli which has just
been inhaled. Both alveoli and capillaries have walls which are only one cell thick and allow
gases to diffuse across them. The same happens with Carbon Dioxide. The blood in the
surrounding capillaries has a higher concentration of CO2 than the inspired air due to it being a
waste product of energy production. Therefore CO2 diffuses the other way, from the capillaries,
into the alveoli where it can then be

Essay about Biography of Robert Frost
Biography of Robert Frost
Robert Frost is perhaps one of America s best poets of his generation. His vivid images of nature
capture the minds of readers. His poems appear to be simple, but if you look into them there is a
lot of insight. Robert Frost spoke at John F. Kennedy s inauguration. He is the only poet to have had
the opportunity to speak at a presidential inauguration. Through his poetry people learn that Robert
Frost is a complicated and intellectual man who has a place in many American hearts. (Richards
P.10) In order to understand where Robert Frost is coming from in his poetry it is important to

Frost and his family went to England they situate themselves in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
This is the place near where Milton finished Paradise Lost . It is a very nice place where Frost
could concentrate on his poetry. One of Frost s first poems he wrote in England was called In

obvious that it is written while he is in England. The mention of rain and watery breezes give it

career work in England. The line The watery breeze came fresher now From over the hill to remind
me makes me think that England would give him new inspiration. Everything he did in

Examples Of Dolphus Raymond In To Kill A Mockingbird
There are character types and personalities, which with these personalities shows a ton of racial
stereotypes demonstrated in society. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (1960). relevant as
ever, and people need to use the content within the book to learn how to put yourself in another
person s skin.
Dolphus Raymond is an intriguing character because he likes to be with people of color more
than whites, so people do not interact with him. For example, he puts a coca cola bottle in a
paper bag to make it look like an alcoholic beverage. The children proceed to ask him why do you
do like you do ( 268). and Raymond responds with you mean why do I pretend? Well, It s very
simple... i try to give em a reason you see it helps folks if they latch onto a reason (268). Which
Raymond is basically saying he pretends to be drunk so they think it s alcohol influencing his
decisions. Why is this brought up? This point is being brought up because people tend to use this
as an escape tactic from a question that gets brought up constantly and the way to make them stop
is to make up a fake reason so they can hang onto previously stated fake reason.
There is a literal definition in this book and a metaphorical definition of the quote to kill a
mockingbird is a sin ( ). The metaphorical definition goes around the lines of benefiting yourself
off of the weak, examples of this are when people give money to the homeless just to make more
money off of helping the homeless is like killing a mockingbird. Why does this matter? Well it
matters because near the end of the book Scout brings up that making Arthur Boo Radley a hero
would be sort of killing a mockingbird, because he lived most of his adulthood in solitary and if
there were people waiting to see the hero that saved to kids and being a nuisance to them when
their not used to it just because two lives were saved. Well that seems like its a good thing or is
it? Well to the population it is not a big deal but to the small population of maycomb county it is.
One of the main themes of To Kill a Mockingbird one of the blantly obvious main themes is you do
not fully know someone until you put yourself and the moment she finally understands this theme
is at the end of

Reflective Essay on Writing Techniques I Have Learned
Over the past few months, I have learned several different writing techniques. While all of the
different types of papers were difficult to write, I believe that my writing skills have improved. In

I did not introduce the person effectively. For example, when quoting someone, one should write
something such: as Balko points out that, he is upset with insurance companies (Balko). This
example is in my own words and is an example of a paraphrase. I quoted people and then would
not write what I thought about the quote afterwards. When doing this in an essay, the teacher has
no way of knowing what the student is trying to convey. A proper quote should start with an
introduction. After the introduction, you have to say what the person has said, followed by what
you think about what they said. After doing this, a student should cite the author by using
parentheses. I did not know that a writer was supposed to do this. My first paper was very
inadequate.
Additionally, I also cited sources and then forgot where I got the information. However, the use of
citing information and research was also one of my debilitating points. Nevertheless, I believe after
the reminders, corrections, and proofreading that needed pointing out to me, helped me improve in
this area.
Research in the library labs were very helpful and informative in spotting web sites that were

Paul Laurence Dunbar And Maya Angelou Comparison
For each of us, freedom plays a very important role in this life. With me, I think there is nothing
which is greater than we are free to do what we want to do, dream what we want to dream or
simply, eat what we want to eat. We all worship freedom. I or Paul Laurence Dunbar and Maya
Angelou do too. Paul Laurence Dunbar and Maya Angelou expressed their freedom through their
poems which are Sympathy and Caged Bird in a very personal, dramatic and profound way.
Although we were published in two different times, I feel that these two poems also have harmonies

coincidence of the subject and circumstances of the birth of these two poems, there is another
interesting similiar thing is that the image of a bird which is trapped in a cage is used as a

R Coleman Research Paper
Rory Coleman is only two of 40 spring walk on tryouts to make the UCF football team. Before
arriving to UCF and stepping on the football field to earn his uniform however, Coleman found
himself on entirely different field in an entirely different uniform.
Coleman is a purple heart veteran who served four years active duty as a combat medic in the
United States Army. He is currently serving in the reserves as a medical instructor while pursuing a
degree in psychology at UCF as a full time student athlete.
Coleman and his family are no strangers to Central Florida. Born and raised in Orlando, Coleman
attended Lake Brantley High School where he was offered football scholarships from multiple D 2
and D 3 colleges. He has always had a passion for playing football, but decided to fulfill his
grandfather s legacy and join the Army straight out of high school at age 18.

His tour of duty was tragically cut short two weeks before going home after being hit by an enemy
grenade and sustaining a gunshot wound to the head during a firefight.
After being medically evacuated, Coleman woke up nine days later and 30 pounds lighter from a
medically induced coma in Germany. He underwent multiple severe trauma surgeries including an
emergency bowel resection.
I was never scared of dying, Coleman said. I had the mindset before deploying that I may never
come back. Accepting my fate allowed me to become the best soldier I could without fear or
limitations to help the other guys around me get back safely. I was always the last person on my
mind.
Despite his severe injuries, Coleman regained his health and continued the rest of his service using
his combat experience to train new combat medics in his unit, which he considered his biggest
military accomplishment.
Shortly after leaving the Army, his unit redeployed, but this time with no deaths or serious

Compare And Contrast Langston Hughes And African Americans
The painting s message that Native Americans were accepting of Catholicism and French rule after
the French arrived is, as partially explained above, reinforced by the house and the church and the
clothing of the Native American. The house and the church being built in the same style in the
(what I m assuming would be a larger village that simply isn t depicted) village shows that the
Native Americans accepted Catholicism into their everyday lives; the clothing being worn by the
Native American is decorated by the same French fleur de lis symbol present on the French Queen s
garment, and in conjunction with the Native American s kneeling, shows that they accepted French
rule. Essentially, the above items communicate that the Native Americans

Albert Bandura Social Learning Theory
Observational learning and cognitive variables help explain human behavior and can be utilized in
a wide variety of areas. The Social Learning Theory (SLT) suggests that individuals learn a
considerable amount of their behavior by observation and imitation of others (Powell, Honey,
Symbaluk 2017. It can be used to produce distinct interventions and treatments for those in need. A
review of a variety of studies in aggression, stalking, business, and simulations investigate distinct
ways to make use of the many components of the SLT. It was concluded that the SLT is diverse, it
allows the creation of different treatments that help individuals in numerous areas.
Introduction
Throughout this course, we have explored a vast amount of theories, however, Albert Banduras
Social Learning Theory (SLT) has been the one that intrigued me the most. Bandura s SLT strongly
emphasized the importance of observational learning and cognitive variables in explaining human
behavior (Powell, Honey, Symbaluk 2017). According to our readings Bandura agrees with the
behaviorist learning theories of classical and operant conditioning, he proposes that the SLT is a
result of both person and situation, which does not have the same effect from either component on
their own (Powell, Honey, Symbaluk 2017). One of his most well known studies involves a bobo
doll. In which Bandura demonstrates that when someone observes violent behavior it increases the
chances of violence of the spectator, and

The Puritan Community in The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne
The Scarlet Letter, a novel by Nathaniel Hawthorn takes place in Boston of 1640 of Puritan
community. It shows a dark, gray, violently moral society found as a kind of Puritan Utopia. The
main characters in the story are Hester Prynne, Arthur Dimmesdale, and Roger Chillingworth. This
novel illustrates the effects of sin on the heart and minds, how a person s downfall may be caused
by the destructive human emotions of hidden guilt and revenge. In The Scarlet Letter, hidden sin

and sin turns Hester into stronger woman than she was before. Arthur Dimmesdale faces the ...

them, to finally denounce his sin of adultery with Hester. He admits his wrongdoing, and then he
dies in Hester s arms, freed from the debilitating burden of his secret. Dimmesdale kept his sin

another character of the story is Roger Chillingworth. He confronts downfall by setting his goal
to seek revenge on Dimmesdale, which turns him into evil. Chillingworth responds to Hester s
betrayal by sacrificing everything he has. First, he gives up his independence. Chillingworth
soon becomes obsessed with his new mission in life that once he targeted Arthur Dimmesdale as
a possible partner, he dedicates all of his time becoming his confidant in order to destroy

Essay on The Trial of Socrates
Socrates was accused of being a sophist because he was engaging in inquiries into things beneath
the earth and in the heavens, of making the weaker argument appear the stronger, and teaching
others these same things. (Apology, Plato, Philosophic Classics page 21) Socrates is also accused
of denying the existence of the gods, and corrupting the youth. Socratesgoes about trying to prove
his innocence. The jury that Socrates was tried by was made up of 501 Athenian citizens of all
classes of society. While he fails to convince the Athenian jury of his innocence, he does a
wonderful job in this effort. I personally believe that Socrates is innocent, and that the Athenian jury
made the wrong decision.

Socrates tells a story in an attempt to explain this. It starts with a man named Chaerephon, a well
respected citizen of Athens, who had died recently. Chaerephon goes to the Oracle at Delphi and
he asked if there was anyone wiser than Socrates. (Apology, Plato, Philosophic Classics, page 23)
The Oracle, of course, says that there is no man wiser than Socrates. When Socrates heard of what
the Oracle said, he begins to wonder what riddle is hidden in those words. He knows that he is not a
wise man, so he knows that he cannot be the wisest of men. Not knowing what then Oracle truly
meant, he goes out to investigate this. He went to a man who was reputed to be very wise. He
thought that he would find a man who is wiser than himself, and thus point out to the Oracle its
mistake. Socrates finds that this man actually knows nothing that is worth knowing. When Socrates
tries to point this out to the man, he and the bystanders become angry. Socrates says that he is wiser
than this man because, while they both know nothing, Socrates realizes this. The other man thinks
he knows things that he does not, while Socrates knows that he knows nothing. Socrates claims that
he has done this with many men, and that each time, he came to the same result: the man knows
nothing and thinks he knows everything, and Socrates has made the man angry. In continuing to do
this, Socrates made many men angry, and that anger turned into

Ms. Petrillo Diversity Case Study Ms. Petrillo was so traumatized by her pastoral counselor s conduct that she relocated to Madison, Wisconsin, where she established a new domicile and from where she has no intent to depart in any definite measure of time. The Court should deny the defendants motion to dismiss Ms. Petrillo s case for lack of subject matter jurisdiction because Ms. Petrillo has her domicile in Wisconsin and each defendant has its domicile in Alabama. When there is complete diversity among the parties, a federal court may hear their case. 28 U.S.C.A В§ 1332(a) (West 2011). So, even if counsel for the defendants argues that Ms. Petrillo s uncertainty about whether she would stay in Wisconsin or move to some as yet unspecified elsewhere were substantial enough to warrant a verbal manifestation of Ms. Petrillo s lack of intent to remain in Wisconsin, that statement would still need to be taken together with all of the objective evidence which suggests that Ms. Petrillo does in fact intend to remain in Wisconsin. • 3. The Economy Of Oklahoma During Early Statehood The economy of Oklahoma during early statehood, from the period 1907 to 1929 can be divided into two main economic sectors: the economy from the land and the economy from beneath the land. Both of the economic activities have driven and shaped Oklahoma s history from statehood to now. Although through most of Oklahomas history the state s economy has been an extractive economy using the resources from the land and exporting the raw products out of the state for modest, yet profitable returns. As the United States grew in the beginning of the 20th century the demand for meat was always needed. Fortunately for the young state of Oklahoma the prairie lands of the Great Plains were a perfect area to feed the numerous heads of animals sent to the butchers that fed America. In 1907, there were 1,206,800 animals within Oklahoma; nearly all farmers in every country of Oklahoma raised hogs (Goins and Goble, 171). Oklahoma s ranching economy changed in the youthful years of statehood as the profession of ranching became more commercialized with intent to maximize the meat per hoof, which would increase the profit margins (Baird and Goble, 194). One way the ranchers maximized the meat per hoof was the replacement of Spanish breed longhorn cattle for the heartier English breed, Hereford (Baird and Goble, 194). Herefords were raised in such numbers that many referred to Oklahoma as Hereford Heaven (Goins and Goble 172) . As mentioned before plains of Oklahoma were ideal for grazing ... This led to various sectarian strifes among the countries in the Middle East. I propose to include Russia in the current coalition, led by the United States, which also include Australia, Bahrain, Canada, France, Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom. There will have to be negotiations in order to get Russia to cooperate so they do not go rogue and bomb targets that are supported by the West and other countries in the coalition. By having Russia in the coalition and working with the United States, there will be a greater oversight of their operations and more transparency among the nations. This will help with making strategic attacks so ISIL can be degraded and destroyed and also so the Assad regime will finally relinquish power to a democratic government. There also must be targeted strikes upon ISIL s main sources of income: oil reserves. Although this may harm potential future capabilities of Syria or Iraq to drill for oil, it will severely disrupt the income of ISIL so that they will not be able to buy the resources necessary to fight against the governments and to maintain the territory which it has already conquered. • 9. Gender Identity Disorder, Identity, And The Basis For A... Transsexuality has been variously constructed throughout the latter part of the twentieth century as a psychiatric disorder, identity category, and the basis for a political movement. Throughout history transsexualism was discursively constituted through each of these frameworks of reference, in which different psycho medical assertions were employed to conceptualize trans identities. Today transsexuality, also known as genderidentity disorder (GID), represents a term that is medically used to categorize and diagnose individuals who show a strong and persistent cross gender identification and discomfort with their anatomical sex. For example, an individual that believes that his and or her assigned sex at birth conflicts with their psychological gender, and is likewise preoccupied with getting rid of their sex characteristics is an individual who suffers from GID. In response to the medicalization of transsexualism, much of society s current legal and social understanding of trans persons has become rooted in the ongoing medico scientific discourse. Moreover, modern day transsexualism has been historically and socio medically constructed through the growing demand for self expression and transformation, which correspondingly challenges the sex and gender regime of the West. The term transsexual first appeared in the scientific literature work of Magnus Hirschfled in 1923. He is considered one of the most noted men to have greatly contributed to the medical advancement of ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Australian ceramics has experienced an exciting evolution over the past 60 years, when ceramics was first offered as a full time course at RMIT in 1947. At that time, the high priests of pottery were Shoji Hamada o f Japan, and Bernard Leach in the UK, who shared similar philosophies and aesthetic values. Having said that, there is evidence that Leach also identified with the wholesome, rustic character of medieval English pottery. This fusion of Japanese and English aesthetics and attitudes was also embraced by early potters in Australia, filtering through to some of Peasod s very early works when he trained in the Anglo Eastern tradition under Rushforth at ESTC then under Les Blakeborough at Sturt Gallery Studio. However in the early 1970 s time spent in Egypt established in Peascod a lifetime love affair with the ancient forms, colours and luster techniques found there. This passion and natural affinity remained evident in Peascod s work throughout all his productive life. From a contemporary perspective, current ceramic artists might challenge that Leach s domestic wares were categorized as craft, and this is an age old debate that has gained momentum since the 1980 s when ceramicists began producing work which questioned the categories and boundaries of art and craft and claimed ground for the sculptural and conceptual in ceramics ......... declaring(ing) the right to continue a tradition of contemplative and emphatically non utilitarian ceramic forms . ... The complex character of management as the scholarly discipline, the variety of opinions concerning the essence and content of management theory, require systematizing knowledge about this phenomenon. Management theory is a relatively new science since its systematic development and academic research has started mostly in the 20th century. Although it is difficult to name the most important theories and principles of management developed throughout all the history of management theory, since such views can be quite subjective, basing on the research it is possible to point out the ones that made the most considerable contribution to its development. Bondanella, P. (2002). The Films of Federico Fellini. Cambridge, UK: Cambridge University Press. The Films of Federico Fellini examines the career and work of Italy s most revered filmmakers. By analyzing the masterpieces of Fellini, the book attempts to categorize the influence of his work, and explain some of his interests in fantasy, the irrational, and individualism. Bondanella essentially rejects more common ways of analyzing Fellini s work and favors trying to explore the development of his unique and personal cinematic style. The repercussions range from some bruises and broken bones to death and permanent disfigurement. So it is very natural for the athlete to have to deal with the fear of what might go wrong . There are countless times that when it came time for me to slide onto my bull, fear would completely overwhelm me. I was not just forced, but completely pushed into a middle state of panic. All of a sudden my vision narrowed, my breathing became very quick and my pulse could be felt in my temples; racing well over 100 beats per minute. Because of this reaction to fear I usually walked away defeated because I was unable function; I was frozen. It must be understood that fear is a very natural reaction as the human brain tends to want to preserve itself. However, fear can often hold athletes like bull riders or motorcycle races back because we forget the task at hand: doing the very best we ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Iran Foxtrot Essay The Iranian Foxtrot The 2009 Iranian presidential election and its aftermath is characterized by a strange power dynamic between Ayatollah Khamenei s and the people where Khamenei is constantly testing their reaction to his dictatorial action, seeing what he can get away with. After choosing the president with no regard for the votes and levying threats at anyone who protested, Khamanei listened to what the opposition has to say, allowing them to voice their opinion in many circumstances. This pattern in Khamenei s action seems to reoccur in the elections aftermath, creating a cycle in which he carries out an outrageously repressive action, and then is attentive to the people dissent towards it. The painting brought Wood almost instant fame after being exhibited for the first time at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1930. It is probably the most reproduced and parodied works of art, and has become a staple within American pop culture. The portrait of what appears to be a couple, standing solemnly in front of their mid western home seems to be a simplistic representation of rural America. Repetition can also be seen in the dotted pattern of the woman s outfit, which also appears in the material of the curtain that hangs in the house s window. The echo of verticals in this painting is also strong. The faces and bodies of the figures seem to be stretched, and narrowed. The pitchfork s slender prongs and the green stripes on the man s shirt also add to the elongation of their frame. The copious amounts of vertical wood boards that make up the house and the barn, keep the viewer s eye moving up and down the picture plane. Wood s use of verticality in this painting is overwhelming. There is also a striking luminosity to the painting. The man and the woman s faces appear to slightly glow, as if you can really see the reflection of the sun beaming off of their skin. This was achieved by a complex method of applying glazes. Wood would apply a layer of oil paint, allow it to dry, and then varnish it. This tedious process would be repeated numerous times. It was a process perfected by the 16th century Venetian painter, Titian. The series of glazes seems to have created an overwhelming sense of depth and radiance within the paint. Water is also essential in the removal of waste products from the body and also in the regulation of body temperature in warm blooded organisms, (Pandey, 2005). Research has revealed that human beings can live without food for a month, but they cannot last more than seven days without water; if the body loses more than ten to fifteen percent of water, it can be fatal and lead to death, (Pandey, 2005). • 28. The Parent Child Relationship In many books whatever the literary genre they belong to, the topic of the parent child relationship is often something used and represented. This relation can be represented in different ways depending on the author and the genre but also depending on the effects it will have on the readership and on its goal in the story. A very simplistic and legal definition of what a parentchild relationship is can be given through the biological links. However, sometimes the relationship between a parental figure such as an adoptive father/motherand its child is not that easy to understand especially because a link which is different and sometimes stronger than the biological one is created. This is why depending on which parental figure one refers to, parent child relationships can be chaotic, a source of suffering or helpful and harmonised such as the ones in Stephen King s The Shining. They can be represented as a form of unconditional love, involving sometimes to risk one of the parent s life and to brave dangers like in Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu s Carmilla. They can be completely omnipresent and terrible like the ones in Mary Shelly s Frankenstein or they can be very confusing as it is the case in John Ajvide Lindqvist s Let the Right One In. This point is being brought up because people tend to use this as an escape tactic from a question that gets brought up constantly and the way to make them stop is to make up a fake reason so they can hang onto previously stated fake reason. The house and the church being built in the same style in the (what I m assuming would be a larger village that simply isn t depicted) village shows that the Native Americans accepted Catholicism into their everyday lives; the clothing being worn by the Native American is decorated by the same French fleur de lis symbol present on the French Queen s garment, and in conjunction with the Native American s kneeling, shows that they accepted French rule. • 40. Albert Bandura Social Learning Theory Observational learning and cognitive variables help explain human behavior and can be utilized in a wide variety of areas. The Social Learning Theory (SLT) suggests that individuals learn a considerable amount of their behavior by observation and imitation of others (Powell, Honey, Symbaluk 2017. It can be used to produce distinct interventions and treatments for those in need. A review of a variety of studies in aggression, stalking, business, and simulations investigate distinct ways to make use of the many components of the SLT. It was concluded that the SLT is diverse, it allows the creation of different treatments that help individuals in numerous areas. Introduction Throughout this course, we have explored a vast amount of theories, however, Albert Banduras Social Learning Theory (SLT) has been the one that intrigued me the most. Bandura s SLT strongly emphasized the importance of observational learning and cognitive variables in explaining human behavior (Powell, Honey, Symbaluk 2017). According to our readings Bandura agrees with the behaviorist learning theories of classical and operant conditioning, he proposes that the SLT is a result of both person and situation, which does not have the same effect from either component on their own (Powell, Honey, Symbaluk 2017). One of his most well known studies involves a bobo doll. In which Bandura demonstrates that when someone observes violent behavior it increases the chances of violence of the spectator, and ... The jury that Socrates was tried by was made up of 501 Athenian citizens of all classes of society. Socrates tells a story in an attempt to explain this. It starts with a man named Chaerephon, a well respected citizen of Athens, who had died recently. Chaerephon goes to the Oracle at Delphi and he asked if there was anyone wiser than Socrates. (Apology, Plato, Philosophic Classics, page 23) The Oracle, of course, says that there is no man wiser than Socrates. When Socrates heard of what the Oracle said, he begins to wonder what riddle is hidden in those words. He knows that he is not a wise man, so he knows that he cannot be the wisest of men. Not knowing what then Oracle truly meant, he goes out to investigate this. He went to a man who was reputed to be very wise. He thought that he would find a man who is wiser than himself, and thus point out to the Oracle its mistake. Socrates finds that this man actually knows nothing that is worth knowing. When Socrates tries to point this out to the man, he and the bystanders become angry. Socrates says that he is wiser than this man because, while they both know nothing, Socrates realizes this. The other man thinks he knows things that he does not, while Socrates knows that he knows nothing. Socrates claims that he has done this with many men, and that each time, he came to the same result: the man knows nothing and thinks he knows everything, and Socrates has made the man angry. In continuing to do this, Socrates made many men angry, and that anger turned into ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
