Geometry Scholarship Essay
Geometry, why did she take it a year early when she knew too well that she struggled in math? She
was pressured by her parents, teachers recommended her, and her friends expected her to take on the
challenge of geometry as a freshman. It was the first week of high school full of excitement and
confusion. She knew from the start that she would struggle, but could she pull through? Was a passing
grade within her reach? She always had a horrified look on her face during fourth period, for she had
taken notes, done the homework with ease, attended after school tutoring but constantly drew a blank
when exams were announced and taken. Exams read D after D , week after week.
Geometry was the only class she struggled with, all A s in every single other academic class, but
geometry never seemed to get better. Sleepless nights not just studying but drowning herself in the
thought that she may not pass the class. Constantly crying herself to sleep because she knew that if
that one C was unattainable she d receive the first failing grade in her life, have to face her enraged
parents, irritated A.V.I.D teachers, forced to re take the course, and be placed in a blended learning
online class. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Finals filled her mind ninety five percent of the time, studying and studying was all she did for hours
every day. The only class that truly worried her was geometry. Was all the time she spent getting
tutored, staying after class asking questions, and studying the topics night and day worth it? Was the
passing grade she yearned for in reach at this point in the year? She felt confident about her final
exam, and the pending final grade tortured her during the winter break, it was the only thing she could
think about. When reports cards arrived not only was she disappointed in herself, but her work. She
knew she could have done better, but could she

Essay on The Silences in Mansfield Park
The silences in Mansfield Park reveal the nature of each character. Fanny s silences reveal her inner
self, the core of morals. They reveal that while Fanny looks like a timid, frail being but inside she
possess a set of principle that are unyielding to any outside force. Through her silence, Fanny becomes
the selfless conscience of Mansfield Park. Fanny is strong willed in her steady continual silence. She
is sole unmoving thing in a fluid, ever moving time.
Fanny grew up in a large, ever growing household, where quiet was so hard to come by. In the Price
household, Fanny was the opposite of her family. She was timid and shy; they were rambunctious.
Fanny as already started to form her own demur. When Fanny arrives at Mansfield Park, ... Show

Without their conscience, they do things against the principles of the age. After a period of solitude,
the other walking trio finds her. This trio is talking about what changes need to occur at Sotherton;
they talk about movement. Fanny stays quiet in the conversation until after Mr. Rushworth has gone to
fetch a key to unlock the gate, leaving Henry and Maria as a pair. Henry starts to tempt Maria into
doing something against what her principle should allow her to do. Fanny, feeling all this to be wrong,
could not help making an effort to prevent it. (93) Fanny begins to act as Maria s conscience, but
Maria won t allow Fanny to be her conscience. She jumps and follows Henry away from her
principles like her brother followed Henry s sister.
Fanny continually remains in the background for the duration of the play. Fanny listens to each person
s opinion on what play they should perform, a comedy or a tragedy. Fanny does not add anything to
the group because she knows it to be inappropriate that a play should be performed without Sir
Thomas s consent. Edmund speaks as a part of the conscience of Mansfield Park, saying what Fanny
thinks. Even after a play is decided upon, Fanny remains silent in background like a conscience
weighing on a person s mind. After the theater troupe starts to practice the play, Fanny helps with the
sewing for the play, helping but not participating in the inappropriate act. She helps because

Why Is Jfk Assassination Wrong
JFK assassination... is false The JFK assassination is said to be done by only one person, but this essay
will tell you that it is wrong. It is said the Oswald is the sole sniper that killed the president. Well,
Oswald did shot the gun, but he did not kill the President, someone else worked with Oswald on this
assassination. In this court case, Oswald and Oswald alone was proven guilty for killing the President.
Oswald had gotten killed later from a gunshot before he went to prison. In the 1963 controversial
court case of JFK assassination, the guilty verdict incorrectly prosecuted only Lee Harvey Oswald
because of the direction of the bullet, the Grassy Knoll, and the CIA involvement. Oswald did shoot
the gun, but it was not the shot that ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
First, CIA helped him get the job where he shot JFK. Former CIA friends of Oswald gave him the job
where he shot the president just three weeks before it all happened, (Daily Mail). Oswald got help
from the CIA. The CIA gave him a perfect spot to shoot the president. If he didn t get that job, then
JFK wouldn t have gotten shot. Next, a former CIA agent confessed to the inside job. A good quote
about this is, You kill the president, and your cover is security, and if the sniper or snipers who kill the
president are hidden in with the guys who are supposed to protect him, guys who have no knowledge
of this plot... It makes a lot of sense, (DailyMail) This goes back to the Grassy Knoll. He is talking
about the other people and how they shot JFK, but didn t get caught because they are part of the team
that is tasked to finding the murderer. That is why no one caught the other shooter because he is part
of the law. Lastly, the CIA has a special tactic. This tactic is when you have different snipers at
different locations so it catches people in a crossfire in more than one direction, (DailyMail). The
tactic that they used in the JFK assassination is one that the CIA has been using for years. It s a simple
tactic, you shoot the suspect from different angles so they can t find cover. Oswald shot the first shot
and hit JFK in the chest and then the second sniper dealt the killing blow. The CIA was definitely

What Are Leonardo Da Vinci s Major Accomplishments
You know the famous paintings like Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, these were both painted by the
famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci. Besides being a great artist he was an inventor, architect and was
connected with science and nature. Although people didn t understand it at the time some of his ideas
he drew led to inventions like the bicycle, the helicopter and an airplane like machine.
Leonardo Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy. His full birthname was Lionardo di ser
Piero da Vinci .His first five years were lived in the hamlet of Anchiano. This was the home of his
mother. He then started living with his father in 1457.
Leonardo had little education beyond basic reading, writing and mathematics. He was largely self
taught. Instead of art, he studied nature, mechanics, anatomy, physics, weaponry, and more. Later, he
started doing art and his first artwork was done in pen and ink. It was called Arno Valley, sketched in
1473. Other pieces like The Adoration of the Magi hasn t been finished. He qualified for membership
as a master artist in Florence s Guild of Saint Luke and made his own workshop. Leonardo was best

Ken Sande s The Peace Maker Essay
Ken Sande s The Peace Maker
A biblical guide to resolving personal conflict , this, in a nutshell is what The Peace Maker is all
about. In this critical book review I will be taking topics from the book and giving the reader my
personal views on how I either reacted or related to the topics covered. My goal for this paper is to
give the reader a non biased opinion of The Peace Maker , which was published by Baker Books in
June of 2004.
To first critique a book you must have some background information on the author himself and why
he is qualified to write a book on conflict management through a biblical perspective. Ken Sande is

To try and persuade someone to believe in religion, if they are not willing listen, is a sure fire way to
start a conflict, which is why I feel this book contradicts itself in some ways. An example of this is
where Sande wrote in chapter 7on page 145:
The apostle Paul could be similarly indirect. Instead of hitting the Athenians head on with their
idolatry, he first engaged them on a point of common interest and moved gradually into the good news
of the one true God.
To me this states that the apostle Paul was trying to convert the Athenians to Christianity because they
believed in a different God, which is in direct contrast with a point made on page 154:
While it is true that we have no right to force out personal opinions on others, we do have a
responsibility to encourage fellow believers to be faithful to God s truths, which are presented in
Scripture.
To understand my point of view on this book you should understand that I am not a religious person
and I am at a point in my life where I am trying to find my own spirituality whether it is Christianity
or some other form of religion. While reading this book I found myself making notes on how I
disagree with certain topics but I didn t realize until I was about half way through that there were
many good points made. Some of the good points I did notice can be found in every chapter

Fundamentals Of A Common Law Contract
Fundamentals of a Common Law Contract Sandra Rhames Smith BUS670 Instructor: Mark A. Cohen
June 15, 2015 Fundamentals of a Contract The Fundamentals of a Contract is when a legal agreement
is constructed that bonds a party of two or more individuals, corporations, etc., into a binding
agreement. In order for the to be considered legal in the court of law it must contain these elements; an
offer, an acceptance, defined terms, capacity and legal consideration. A Contracts can largely be in
written or verbal form, using either formal or informal terms, and conditions. However, verbal
contract agreement are harder to prove in the court of law and the burden is usually solely on the
injured party. In the legal system there are two types of contracts, a common law contract and a
contract that is governed under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). The employment contract with
the non compete clause between Fabulous Hotel and myself is considered to be under common law
contractual agreement. As described in the textbook Business law for Managers it states that, If the
contract deals with anything other than sales of goods (e.g., real estate, insurance, or personal
services), then it is governed by the common law. When you hire an employee to join your staff, you
enter into a contract that is governed by principles of common law. (Seaquist 2012). In the
employment agreement signed upon my initial two year agreement it included a non competition
clause Seaquist (2012)

Soon after receiving the plan to complete the Estate Income Tax Returns, I began to execute the plan.
As described in the article The Estate Income Tax Returns: The Plan to Complete the Returns, the
plan, in part, involved distributing the proceeds of the rental property sale and paying out tax
deductible expenses. However, before I could carry out my portion of the plan, I had to complete the
following important tasks:
Mail W 9 forms to a couple of beneficiaries not willing to give their social security number through

Contact the two charities for their tax id numbers.
Contact the attorney and tax professional for invoices.

The will provided for a twisted distribution formula and I had to get it right. So, I wrote a draft of the

explaining that this is the first distribution of three. The next distribution will distribute the last of the

the beneficiaries feeling giddy, I told them that the first distribution consisted of only the proceeds
from the sale of the rental property, which accounted for about a third of the estate value. So, after
reading this letter, I am sure the beneficiaries would feel pleasantly surprised. If not

Extraction of Chlorophyll from Spinach Leaves
2 15 11
Purpose:
The purpose of this experiment was to take spinach leaves and extract the chlorophyll and carotenoid
pigments by using acetone as the solvent. The chlorophyll and carotenoid pigments were extracted by
using column chromography and alumina was used as the solvent. Solvents of different polarities were
used, starting with the least polar, to extract the certain components from the leaves. They were then
analyzed by using thin layer chromatography.
Procedure:
The first part of the experiment dealt with breaking down the spinach leaves in a mortar and pestle.
Acetone was added to this to help with the breakdown of the spinach leaves. Once the spinach leaves

Compare And Contrast The Scarlet Lir And The Sniper
The Sniper by Liam O Flaherty and The Scarlet Ibis by James Hurt are both alike in many ways but

share a brotherhood, war and regret characteristic.
The Sniper takes place on a cold, dark, winter night in a city with a sniper set out on a mission to kill

Essay on Romance de la Luna, Luna
Federico Garcia Lorca s Romance de La Luna, Luna is a Spanish poem that tells the story of a young
gypsy boy and the moon. His love and infatuation with the moon leads to his death. This poem not
only tells the story of this young child s demise, but also shows the effects when someone is lured in
by an appealing temptation. The poem uses many literary devices to enhance the meaning the words
provide. The poem starts at the beginning of the story as the moon comes to visit the forge. The moon
is said to be wearing her skirt of white, fragrant flowers (Lorca 2) as its bright light penetrates the
scene. The poem states the young boy watches her, watches. / The young boy is watching her (3 4).

The moon has now become ominous as it forewarns of the child s death. Spanish culture is once again
brought into the poem as the moon becomes deathly. The moon has always been a figure of death in
Spanish history and continues to be represented in that matter by this poem. The moon s sensual
appeal balances its foreboding nature. The boy is enticed by the mystery of the moon and does not
heed her warning. Once again the boy warns the moon, flee, moon, moon, moon (17), as he shows his
continued persistence to save the moon he has been draw into. He warns that the gypsies are coming,
but the moon will not leave its dance. The moon says, young boy, leave me, don t step on / my
starched whiteness (19 20). This shows her lack of concern for the boy, which exemplifies her task to
only attract him to her. Her starched whiteness once again contradicts her true mission to lead him to
his demise. Beating the drum of the plain (22) stresses the intensity of the moment leading up to the
point that within the forge the young man has closed eyes (23).
The climax of the story has just occurred, as the child death has taken place. The Spanish belief that
the moon is a bad omen has remained true with the little boy s eyes closed, signifying his death. The
gypsies return and the diction used to describe them emphasizes their mystery and flow. How the night
bird sings (29) implies the bird is singing a song to mourn the death of the child. It then says across
the sky moves

Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death
In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is
separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death;
despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death
in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and
other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book,
during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking
about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that
someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the
concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate;
people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew
apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange,
that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an
embrace in it. Then, could it be that because Clarissa has been separated from ... Show more content

of her life playing a role and never actually allow herself to be of her true nature. From what Clarissa

Abstract
Brazilians welcomed the long awaited decision of making Rio de Janeiro the host of the 2016
Olympic Games with tremendous excitement. Although Rio s fantastic natural beauty added to its
attraction in hosting the games, its alarming rates of public health and security issues immediately
triggered worldwide criticism. This makes the stakes very high when hosting the Olympic Games.
This paper examines the process of risk assessment and risk response in relation Rio Olympics 2016.
The paper explores the consensus that Brazilians will be more equipped to address actions taken by
organized crime capable of affecting the Olympic Games than to face a terrorist attack. The paper

The Role of Beatrice Portinari in Dante The Divine Comedy
Beatrice Portinari is seen throughout the book of Dante The Divine Comedy . She originally meets
Dante in the year 1274, on May Day in Florence, Italy. Beatrice is from a wealthy Florentine family
and was eight years old the first time they meet and did not speak a word to each other (Cotter, 21).
She was the principle inspiration for Dante s La Vita Nuova, a book about Dante s love connection to
her (Passages to the Past). Dante and Beatrice have only met twice, but Dante was so touched by both
meetings he shares his love for Beatrice with the reader. The second encounter occurred when they

In this sense Beatrice seems as the only evidence on why Dante should continue his journey through
hell. Beatrice is the reason why Dante even made it through the underworld, by sending a guide down
to help him. Her love for him got him through hell and on to the next chapter of his journey. Beatrice
is seen in Dante s Purgatory when she comes to him in a griffin drawn chariot. She comes down to
Dante wearing a white veil representing faith, a green cape symbolizing hope and underneath the cape
she wore a robe of flaming red signifying burning love. When she first arrives to Dante she comes to
him in a harsh approach, something like an admiral. She does this to try to get a confession out of
Dante, and mention to him that he cannot continue his journey if he is not happy and cleansed
(University of Texas at Austin). Beatrice comes to him and mentions to him that Virgil can no longer
help on his quest, he cannot leave limbo. Beatrice speaks to Dante and tells him to not weep about the
fact that Virgil cannot help him on his journey anymore, but to look forward to the next point in his
journey. She comes to him and tells Dante to wash himself in the waters of Lethe (Kline). This will
cleanse him and take away his sins. She also mentions the waters of Euone will help restore good in
Dante. Beatrice can take Dante on to the next realm through

Essay on How Boyle s Law Relates to Respiratory Care
This paper is going to discuss Boyle s Law and how it relates to respiratory care. It will define what
the law is, how it works, and why it is important to us. We use this law every day without even
thinking about it. So many of our everyday activities and actions are related to certain gas laws that
have been built into our lives at home and at work. Without many of the gas laws we would not have
the advancements that we have today. Boyle s Law has had a very important role in our lives. It is the
reason why we have the medical technology that we have today and why it keeps improving. Because
of Boyle s law, the medical profession saves lives and improves lives every day.
In the 1600 s Robert Boyle from Ireland explained the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Our bodies do it on their own by moving air into the lungs when a muscle called the diaphragm, along
with other nearby muscles, contract and causes the chest cavity to expand. Then air is exhaled when
these muscles relax, and the lung tissue returns or recoils to its original size (Jardins 2013) . When the
patient needs help with breathing due to a disease, surgery or the use of medications which stop the
muscle from working on their own, a ventilator is a life saving replacement. The volume of oxygen in
the cylinder is depressed down and the pressure increases moving the oxygen through the tubes into
the patient.
The plethysmography technique applies to Boyle s law and uses measurements of volume and
pressure changes to determine lung volume, assuming the temperature is constant. The
plethysmography technique measures the volume of all compressible gas in the thorax, including gas
trapped behind airway obstructions or in the pleural space (Kacmarek 2013). This is just another
example of how important Boyle s law has become to the medical profession.
As this report states, Boyle s law is very important in our everyday lives and in the medical
profession. The advancements in respiratory care in modern day medicine have been greatly enhanced
with the application of Boyle s law which was developed over 400 years ago by Robert Boyle a native
of Ireland. As a respiratory therapist we work with Boyle s law every day to help patients

Methylmercury In Canada
Background
In a neoliberalist economy, a pluralist model of healthcare is adopted. Consequently, the high powers
often sing while vulnerable populations are left with inequitable consideration for health 1. This is
exemplified in arctic regions of Canada where health status is considerably lower compared to the
Canadian population. In these regions, cultural, socioeconomic and difficulty in access create sizable
barriers that require significant investment of human and capital resource to overcome. Not only is
resource availability limited but also there are numerable negative health outcomes associated with
long range pollution transportation. Pollutants can travels thousands of kilometers through air and
water currents that trend toward Arctic regions. Although there are numerous pollutants of concern,
mercury is particularly noxious. Mercury is a heavy metal, d block element understood to be a potent
neurotoxin 2. In exposed populations, extensive neurotoxic effects are observed ranging from

Humans are primarily exposed to mercury through the consumption of freshwater and marine animals

mercury are resultant of the intracellular binding of organelles essential for cellular function 3. Thus,

Punk Rock Subculture
Punk Rock in America: The Development, the Youth Subculture and Salt Lake City
In both the United States and Great Britain, a genre of music, now known as punk rock was
developing in the late 1960s and 1970s that would provide an outlet for the emotions young adults
were feeling at that time. For the purpose of this paper, I will focus on the development of punk in the
United States, however punk rock arose at the same time in both the US and Great Britain, and had
what one might describe as a symbiotic, yet adversarial relationship (Stalcup). Therefore, one cannot
completely disregard the development of punk rock in Great Britain while discussing the development
of punk rock in America. In the US, punk rock arose on the east coast, mostly ... Show more content

American punk bands first began on the east coast in places such as New York City as a counteraction
to the sounds being played during the time, such as The Beach Boys surfer sounds, folk music and
disco. Lou Reed and the Velvet Underground were some of the first pioneers in what would become
American punk. After the Velvet s demise...New York was a hotbed of activity in the early 1970s
(Stalcup). One of the best punk clubs in New York City during this time is known as CBGB (Country
Blue Grass and Blues). Many groups such as the New York Dolls and Television, got their start either
at CBGB or in New York as a whole. Television would go on to become a band that influenced others
to speak to the youth subculture. With Television s song, (I Belong to the) Blank Generation
Television emphasized the emptiness of his generation, on the chorus, I belong to the blank generation
and I can take it or leave it each time (Stalcup). Since once something is introduced, it cannot be taken
away, punk rock bands drew inspiration from those such as Iggy Pop and the Stooges. However,

Bessie Smith Essay
In Bessie Smith s piece Young Woman Blues , underlies a black feminist declaration of empowered
femininity and proud black sexuality. In that respect, she follows along in the tradition of other black
female musicians like Ma Rainey and Nella Laursen in challenging the status quo through their own
music. As such, Carby is right in her analysis of Bessie Smith and other black female musicians in
asserting their femininity whereas Chapman is limited in analyzing the perception of these musicians
and not the actual music itself. Through Smith s performance of the song underscores the vulnerability
and by extension the strength that her and other black females possess to deal with the dual prejudices
of racism and sexism. As such, the performance is liberating in terms of its challenging of racism
through black pride, challenging of sexism through female sensuality, and advocating of personal
independence. In the piece itself, Bessie Smith fundamentally critiques the racialized ... Show more

She accounts for the likes of Ma Rainey who had songs along the likes of Oh Papa Blues , Titanic
Man Blues , and Black Eye Blues that challenged male cheating with female strength and fury (Carby
17). Granted, Chapman would argue such songs would pale to the positioning of female musicians in
the race sex marketplace with the likes of Ethel Waters (Chapman 80). Yet again, this should discount
any of what Bessie Smith is fighting for within the song itself. The reasoning being is that for music of
hers to be liberating, it is to first be liberating in a personal level. The limitations that are there for
blues music in the grand sense are apparent as Chapman notes with the objectification of black women
s bodies. Though, Bessie Smith is not seen in a sexualized fashion in her song and the sensuality that
is there is comes from her own

The Kama Sutra and Class Correlation
Kama Sutra
Question: If Kama Sutra was meant for the Upper Leisure class of the Indian population, is there any
valuable content for the middle and lower class? How much of the Hinduism principles did he retain
so that the lower/middle class can learn from the text as well?
What is Vatsyayana s targeted demographic of readers when he wrote the Kama Sutra? Was it
exclusive to the leisure class of the Indian society? Or did it also include the lower class? There is
evidence that suggests that the text is biased for the aristocrats, as the practices described require time
and money that the peasants don t have. The fact that Vatsyayana is likely a member of the elite class,
deduced from his sophisticated knowledge of Hinduism and how ... Show more content on

Vatsyayana explains that Kama is the enjoyment of appropriate objects, which implies that in order to
attain kama, one must have the money to take pleasure in materialistic objects. On top of that, he
organizes a list of arts that should be studied along with Kama Sutra, which include activities that
could be considered as time consuming and overly ostentatious for the lower class. Among the many
activities to do is the spreading and arranging beds or couches of flowers, or flowers upon the ground
or making artificial flowers (Vatsyayana 66). While these activities may seem overly extravagant and
absurd for the lower class as they are the working class and wouldn t be able to afford investing their
time and wealth into it, Vatsyayana emphasizes that kama is a sense of pleasure of the five senses . . .
assisted by the mind together with the soul, (Vatsyayana 63). Therefore money and time are not
necessities to obtain kama. His assertion of how [s]exual intercourse being a thing dependent on man
and women requires the application of proper means by them . . . (Vatsyayana 63) indicates that kama
could also be acquired by physical activities, and materialistic objects are not needed. Although they
are not not able to take part in lavish pleasure like that of the upper class, the lower class population
nonetheless can gain attain kama through different means as Vatsyayana s Karma Sutra includes all

Essay on The Death of Artemio Cruz
The Death of Artemio Cruz
Carlos Fuentes author of The Death of Artemio Cruz has used his novel to show how Mexico has been
transformed and molded into its present state through the use of his character Artemio Cruz. Fuentes
uses Cruz to bring together a historical truth about the greedy capital seekers, robber barons, if you
will, who after the revolution brought Mexico directly back to into the situation it was in before and
during the Revolution. Fuentes wrote the novel in nineteen sixty two, shortly after the Cuban
Revolution. Fuentes is able to express his disappointment from the Mexican Revolution, the

picture and history of his own home land, the country of Mexico. Fuentes was able to reach out to

worldwide. Fuentes wrote many controversial books, some of those were: Terra Nostra, The
Campaign, The Old Gringo, Where the Air Is clear, The Death of Artemio Cruz, The Good
Conscience, The Orange Tree, etc. I believe Carlos Fuentes published nineteen books altogether, many
of the books seem to be almost chapters of one large novel; a novel that was an idea to bring
information to the people, to help people think about things outside of the box, the way he saw things.
His work was very insightful and helped to show the struggle of Mexico throughout history and even
to the present day. Fuentes also wrote many essays of social protest and several short stories. He had a
love of history, a desire to show the truth and the want to enlighten people to believe in a better way of
life, all of these things he was able to due in his writings. I believe he just wanted the average person
to understand how and why their economy, Government and their basic existence came to be. . . He
was trying to reach the average Mexican. I believe Fuentes basically blamed the people of Mexico for
letting these things

As has been noted, Disney World is one of the biggest companies in the world. As long as we have
this big company, we may have uncountable numbers. It is a huge brand and it has many fans. Even
there are many advantages or disadvantages from having it, they still have their main goal, which is
making profits. According to Disney s corporate website, the mission of the Walt Disney Company is
to be one of the world s famous creators and producers of enjoyment and data. Utilizing our container
of brands to vary our products, we look to innovative and gainful enjoyment experiences and connect
items in the world, and to develop the most imaginative creations. Walt, who is the owner of the
company, and Roy, who is Walt s assistant, admitted that he got to stay one step ahead of the
competition in order to be the most innovative and creative animation company of all time (1). This
company makes efforts that made it unmatchable in market. It is obvious that Disney is unmatchable
because of its profits that they have been making since they started. What is the most remarkable thing
that they made and how much money do they make?
These are good questions and we may take a while to answer, but let s start with its role business
segments. There are four business segments, which are enhancing its original business model as studio

Foundationalism In William Shakespear s Much Ado About...
The word Foundationalism was given a clear definition by Descartes, meaning someone looking for a
clear and certain foundation. There is a way to accomplish this task, meaning order to find or build a
foundation or a base that is certain, one must first destroy everything one believes to know start from
the very beginning. The goal is to find things that are absolute indubitable , meaning it is 100 percent
certain or it can not under any circumstances be doubted (Descartes 13). The play Much ado about
nothing written by William Shakespear would not be the first thing that comes to mind when
considering anything being indubitable. It is entails clear social and gender issues of its time. With this
essay, I wish to point out how the men boast themselves in so much honor and masculinity, that they
are easily blinded by a simple lie. So simple in fact, that it took an entire plot built on Hero s death to
reveal the truth. If a woman s mind, body and soul were more valuable, there would have been no
need to lie and deceive once more to prove Hero s innocence. This is important, because women are
still judged more harshly for being involved with a man before marriage, or having multiple partners.
While men can marry after being known to be very far from celibacy themselves, but wish to have a
virgin or a woman with fewer and closer to zero sexual partners. This misogynistic double standard
was carried into the movie by Kenneth Branagh. In this case, first I would like to look

The Romance Language
In today s society, almost everyone is familiar with the languages of Spanish, Italian, French,
Portuguese, Romanian, and Catalan, or better known as the Romance languages . One might wonder
as to why they are commonly known as the Romance languages, and the simple answer is that all
these languages lead back to the language of the Romans: Latin. Latin became a language commonly
used during the start of the city of Rome, around the Tiber River, in the seventh century B.C., but
unfortunately came to an end during the Second Vatican Council from 1962 to 1965, where the
Catholic Church made the decision to change the language of the liturgies from Latin to the vernacular
language of the area. Although the Latin language is considered dead in modern society, the evolution
of Latin into the Romantic languages has been able to influence billions of speakers since the ninth
century. One might be inquisitive as to how a language can change over time, but languages do not
just change, they evolve, as well. Language is a natural growth, and not an instrument which we shape
for our own purposes (Orwell 707). Languages cannot change by force, but rather will change over a
period of time with the help of society to influence the development of words and phrases. The
evolution of languages comes naturally, usually with influences from other spoken languages close
enough to the main region where a language is spoken. These changes enter the language, and, with
time, the language has

A Sociological Study of Deviance: Oklahoma City Bombing

WHY DID TIMOTHY MCVEIGH DO THIS?
Timothy Mcveigh s personality can be explained sociologically as being both ritualism and rebellion.
Timothy McVeigh was part of what can be seen as the pinnacle of conformism during the years before
the bombing, the military. McVeigh, by all accounts, was a soldier who won praise by taking orders
very well and following all the rules, his medals won during the Gulf War prove this. However, like
many other people who join the military (gang members, racial nationalists, survivalists) Timothy
McVeigh had perhaps not so patriotic motives for joining. Nowadays people join the military for
reasons other than because they believe in a countries value system, people like McVeigh join for the
military training and knowledge of things like explosives, survival, discipline, etc. They in a way use
the system against itself. At face value Timothy McVeigh did follow the means towards achieving
societies goals, but he wanted nothing to do with the ends. He saw himself as a freedom fighter whose
destiny was to overthrow the US Government.
McVeigh, before joining the military, already had a long history in the survivalist movement. The
Survivalist movement is well known by the federal government for its anti government activities and
beliefs, McVeigh shared these beliefs and was set off after the

  • 2. Geometry Scholarship Essay Geometry, why did she take it a year early when she knew too well that she struggled in math? She was pressured by her parents, teachers recommended her, and her friends expected her to take on the challenge of geometry as a freshman. It was the first week of high school full of excitement and confusion. She knew from the start that she would struggle, but could she pull through? Was a passing grade within her reach? She always had a horrified look on her face during fourth period, for she had taken notes, done the homework with ease, attended after school tutoring but constantly drew a blank when exams were announced and taken. Exams read D after D , week after week. Geometry was the only class she struggled with, all A s in every single other academic class, but geometry never seemed to get better. Sleepless nights not just studying but drowning herself in the thought that she may not pass the class. Constantly crying herself to sleep because she knew that if that one C was unattainable she d receive the first failing grade in her life, have to face her enraged parents, irritated A.V.I.D teachers, forced to re take the course, and be placed in a blended learning online class. ... The only class that truly worried her was geometry. Was all the time she spent getting tutored, staying after class asking questions, and studying the topics night and day worth it? Was the passing grade she yearned for in reach at this point in the year? She felt confident about her final exam, and the pending final grade tortured her during the winter break, it was the only thing she could think about. • 3. Essay on The Silences in Mansfield Park The silences in Mansfield Park reveal the nature of each character. Fanny s silences reveal her inner self, the core of morals. They reveal that while Fanny looks like a timid, frail being but inside she possess a set of principle that are unyielding to any outside force. Through her silence, Fanny becomes the selfless conscience of Mansfield Park. Fanny is strong willed in her steady continual silence. She is sole unmoving thing in a fluid, ever moving time. Fanny grew up in a large, ever growing household, where quiet was so hard to come by. In the Price household, Fanny was the opposite of her family. She was timid and shy; they were rambunctious. Fanny as already started to form her own demur. When Fanny arrives at Mansfield Park, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Without their conscience, they do things against the principles of the age. After a period of solitude, the other walking trio finds her. This trio is talking about what changes need to occur at Sotherton; they talk about movement. Fanny stays quiet in the conversation until after Mr. Rushworth has gone to fetch a key to unlock the gate, leaving Henry and Maria as a pair. Henry starts to tempt Maria into doing something against what her principle should allow her to do. Fanny, feeling all this to be wrong, could not help making an effort to prevent it. (93) Fanny begins to act as Maria s conscience, but Maria won t allow Fanny to be her conscience. She jumps and follows Henry away from her principles like her brother followed Henry s sister. Fanny continually remains in the background for the duration of the play. Fanny listens to each person s opinion on what play they should perform, a comedy or a tragedy. Fanny does not add anything to the group because she knows it to be inappropriate that a play should be performed without Sir Thomas s consent. Edmund speaks as a part of the conscience of Mansfield Park, saying what Fanny thinks. Even after a play is decided upon, Fanny remains silent in background like a conscience weighing on a person s mind. After the theater troupe starts to practice the play, Fanny helps with the sewing for the play, helping but not participating in the inappropriate act. She helps because ... • 4. Why Is Jfk Assassination Wrong JFK assassination... is false The JFK assassination is said to be done by only one person, but this essay will tell you that it is wrong. It is said the Oswald is the sole sniper that killed the president. Well, Oswald did shot the gun, but he did not kill the President, someone else worked with Oswald on this assassination. In this court case, Oswald and Oswald alone was proven guilty for killing the President. Oswald had gotten killed later from a gunshot before he went to prison. In the 1963 controversial court case of JFK assassination, the guilty verdict incorrectly prosecuted only Lee Harvey Oswald because of the direction of the bullet, the Grassy Knoll, and the CIA involvement. Former CIA friends of Oswald gave him the job where he shot the president just three weeks before it all happened, (Daily Mail). Oswald got help from the CIA. The CIA gave him a perfect spot to shoot the president. If he didn t get that job, then JFK wouldn t have gotten shot. Next, a former CIA agent confessed to the inside job. A good quote about this is, You kill the president, and your cover is security, and if the sniper or snipers who kill the president are hidden in with the guys who are supposed to protect him, guys who have no knowledge of this plot... It makes a lot of sense, (DailyMail) This goes back to the Grassy Knoll. He is talking about the other people and how they shot JFK, but didn t get caught because they are part of the team that is tasked to finding the murderer. That is why no one caught the other shooter because he is part of the law. Lastly, the CIA has a special tactic. This tactic is when you have different snipers at different locations so it catches people in a crossfire in more than one direction, (DailyMail). The tactic that they used in the JFK assassination is one that the CIA has been using for years. It s a simple tactic, you shoot the suspect from different angles so they can t find cover. Oswald shot the first shot and hit JFK in the chest and then the second sniper dealt the killing blow. The CIA was definitely involved, the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. What Are Leonardo Da Vinci s Major Accomplishments You know the famous paintings like Mona Lisa and The Last Supper, these were both painted by the famous artist Leonardo Da Vinci. Besides being a great artist he was an inventor, architect and was connected with science and nature. Although people didn t understand it at the time some of his ideas he drew led to inventions like the bicycle, the helicopter and an airplane like machine. Leonardo Da Vinci was born on April 15, 1452, in Vinci, Italy. His full birthname was Lionardo di ser Piero da Vinci .His first five years were lived in the hamlet of Anchiano. This was the home of his mother. He then started living with his father in 1457. Leonardo had little education beyond basic reading, writing and mathematics. He was largely self taught. Instead of art, he studied nature, mechanics, anatomy, physics, weaponry, and more. Later, he started doing art and his first artwork was done in pen and ink. It was called Arno Valley, sketched in 1473. Other pieces like The Adoration of the Magi hasn t been finished. In this critical book review I will be taking topics from the book and giving the reader my personal views on how I either reacted or related to the topics covered. My goal for this paper is to give the reader a non biased opinion of The Peace Maker , which was published by Baker Books in June of 2004. To try and persuade someone to believe in religion, if they are not willing listen, is a sure fire way to start a conflict, which is why I feel this book contradicts itself in some ways. An example of this is where Sande wrote in chapter 7on page 145: The apostle Paul could be similarly indirect. Instead of hitting the Athenians head on with their idolatry, he first engaged them on a point of common interest and moved gradually into the good news of the one true God. To me this states that the apostle Paul was trying to convert the Athenians to Christianity because they believed in a different God, which is in direct contrast with a point made on page 154: While it is true that we have no right to force out personal opinions on others, we do have a responsibility to encourage fellow believers to be faithful to God s truths, which are presented in Scripture. To understand my point of view on this book you should understand that I am not a religious person and I am at a point in my life where I am trying to find my own spirituality whether it is Christianity or some other form of religion. While reading this book I found myself making notes on how I disagree with certain topics but I didn t realize until I was about half way through that there were many good points made. • 7. Fundamentals Of A Common Law Contract Fundamentals of a Common Law Contract Sandra Rhames Smith BUS670 Instructor: Mark A. Cohen June 15, 2015 Fundamentals of a Contract The Fundamentals of a Contract is when a legal agreement is constructed that bonds a party of two or more individuals, corporations, etc., into a binding agreement. In order for the to be considered legal in the court of law it must contain these elements; an offer, an acceptance, defined terms, capacity and legal consideration. A Contracts can largely be in written or verbal form, using either formal or informal terms, and conditions. However, verbal contract agreement are harder to prove in the court of law and the burden is usually solely on the injured party. In the legal system there are two types of contracts, a common law contract and a contract that is governed under the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC). The employment contract with the non compete clause between Fabulous Hotel and myself is considered to be under common law contractual agreement. As described in the textbook Business law for Managers it states that, If the contract deals with anything other than sales of goods (e.g., real estate, insurance, or personal services), then it is governed by the common law. When you hire an employee to join your staff, you enter into a contract that is governed by principles of common law. (Seaquist 2012). They both approved of the distribution and, at that point, I wrote out the checks. Along with the checks, I included a letter explaining that this is the first distribution of three. The next distribution will distribute the last of the estate property, and the third distribution was to close out what remains in the estate account. • 11. Essay on Romance de la Luna, Luna Federico Garcia Lorca s Romance de La Luna, Luna is a Spanish poem that tells the story of a young gypsy boy and the moon. His love and infatuation with the moon leads to his death. This poem not only tells the story of this young child s demise, but also shows the effects when someone is lured in by an appealing temptation. The poem uses many literary devices to enhance the meaning the words provide. The poem starts at the beginning of the story as the moon comes to visit the forge. The moon is said to be wearing her skirt of white, fragrant flowers (Lorca 2) as its bright light penetrates the scene. The poem states the young boy watches her, watches. / The young boy is watching her (3 4). The repetition of the phrase emphasizes ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The moon has now become ominous as it forewarns of the child s death. Spanish culture is once again brought into the poem as the moon becomes deathly. The moon has always been a figure of death in Spanish history and continues to be represented in that matter by this poem. The moon s sensual appeal balances its foreboding nature. The boy is enticed by the mystery of the moon and does not heed her warning. Once again the boy warns the moon, flee, moon, moon, moon (17), as he shows his continued persistence to save the moon he has been draw into. He warns that the gypsies are coming, but the moon will not leave its dance. The moon says, young boy, leave me, don t step on / my starched whiteness (19 20). This shows her lack of concern for the boy, which exemplifies her task to only attract him to her. Her starched whiteness once again contradicts her true mission to lead him to his demise. Beating the drum of the plain (22) stresses the intensity of the moment leading up to the point that within the forge the young man has closed eyes (23). The climax of the story has just occurred, as the child death has taken place. The Spanish belief that the moon is a bad omen has remained true with the little boy s eyes closed, signifying his death. The gypsies return and the diction used to describe them emphasizes their mystery and flow. How the night bird sings (29) implies the bird is singing a song to mourn the death of the child. Why Is Mrs Dalloway Separated From Death In the story Mrs. Dalloway, the theme of death is extremely prevalent, but one character that is separate from that theme, essentially until the end of the book, Clarissa. Clarissa never faces death; despite, that she is living in a world that is so close to WWII. Why is Clarissa so separated from death in the story? Clarrisa lives her life isolated from the world of death; she goes on to her parties and other social events like they are the only important thing in the world. Then at the end of the book, during the part she has spent so much time and effort on, the only thing that the people are talking about is some random guy that killed himself. At first, it looks as if Clarissa is outraged at the idea that someone would do such a thing to ruin her party, but then something happens. Clarissa embraces the concept of death in a Poe esk manner, Death was defiance. Death was an attempt to communicate; people feeling the impossibility of reaching the center which, mystically, evaded them; closeness drew apart; rapture faded, one was alone. There was an embrace in death (Woolf 180). That seems strange, that someone how has been so far from death in the scope of the book would suddenly find such an embrace in it. She originally meets Dante in the year 1274, on May Day in Florence, Italy. Beatrice is from a wealthy Florentine family and was eight years old the first time they meet and did not speak a word to each other (Cotter, 21). So many of our everyday activities and actions are related to certain gas laws that have been built into our lives at home and at work. Without many of the gas laws we would not have the advancements that we have today. Boyle s Law has had a very important role in our lives. Our bodies do it on their own by moving air into the lungs when a muscle called the diaphragm, along with other nearby muscles, contract and causes the chest cavity to expand. Then air is exhaled when these muscles relax, and the lung tissue returns or recoils to its original size (Jardins 2013) . When the patient needs help with breathing due to a disease, surgery or the use of medications which stop the muscle from working on their own, a ventilator is a life saving replacement. The volume of oxygen in the cylinder is depressed down and the pressure increases moving the oxygen through the tubes into the patient. The plethysmography technique applies to Boyle s law and uses measurements of volume and pressure changes to determine lung volume, assuming the temperature is constant. The plethysmography technique measures the volume of all compressible gas in the thorax, including gas trapped behind airway obstructions or in the pleural space (Kacmarek 2013). This is just another example of how important Boyle s law has become to the medical profession. As this report states, Boyle s law is very important in our everyday lives and in the medical profession. In that respect, she follows along in the tradition of other black female musicians like Ma Rainey and Nella Laursen in challenging the status quo through their own music. As such, Carby is right in her analysis of Bessie Smith and other black female musicians in asserting their femininity whereas Chapman is limited in analyzing the perception of these musicians and not the actual music itself. Through Smith s performance of the song underscores the vulnerability and by extension the strength that her and other black females possess to deal with the dual prejudices of racism and sexism. Among the many activities to do is the spreading and arranging beds or couches of flowers, or flowers upon the ground or making artificial flowers (Vatsyayana 66). There is a way to accomplish this task, meaning order to find or build a foundation or a base that is certain, one must first destroy everything one believes to know start from the very beginning. The goal is to find things that are absolute indubitable , meaning it is 100 percent certain or it can not under any circumstances be doubted (Descartes 13). So simple in fact, that it took an entire plot built on Hero s death to reveal the truth. If a woman s mind, body and soul were more valuable, there would have been no need to lie and deceive once more to prove Hero s innocence. The Romance Language In today s society, almost everyone is familiar with the languages of Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Romanian, and Catalan, or better known as the Romance languages . One might wonder as to why they are commonly known as the Romance languages, and the simple answer is that all these languages lead back to the language of the Romans: Latin. Latin became a language commonly used during the start of the city of Rome, around the Tiber River, in the seventh century B.C., but unfortunately came to an end during the Second Vatican Council from 1962 to 1965, where the Catholic Church made the decision to change the language of the liturgies from Latin to the vernacular language of the area. Although the Latin language is considered dead in modern society, the evolution of Latin into the Romantic languages has been able to influence billions of speakers since the ninth century. One might be inquisitive as to how a language can change over time, but languages do not just change, they evolve, as well. Language is a natural growth, and not an instrument which we shape for our own purposes (Orwell 707). Languages cannot change by force, but rather will change over a period of time with the help of society to influence the development of words and phrases. The evolution of languages comes naturally, usually with influences from other spoken languages close enough to the main region where a language is spoken. These changes enter the language, and, with time, the language has ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
