Essay On Eco Friendly Cars
Eco Friendly/Green Technology:
Consumers are becoming more interested in environmentally products and practices due to global
warming and other environmental hazards.
Today s electric vehicles offer several advantages over gas powered cars. Some of these advantages
include, better gas mileage, less dependance on foreign oil, reduced exhaust emissions, and saves
customers money.
One of the main benefits of eco friendly cars is the improved gas mileage. Improved gas mileage not
only means not having to fill up as often, but it means that drivers can travel farther distances on a
single tank of fuel (gengreen.org, 2013).
Additionally, when eco friendly cars require much less fuel to power them across equal distances, this
means that the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

From the figure, it can be seen that host1, host3, host 4 sends messages through the times say
t1,t2,t3,t4 and the times are increasing. The messages are M1,M2,M3,M4 and after many send and
receive the process finally reached the host1. The time order is not in the state of inferring and the
events cannot be inferred from the diagram. Also the order in which it is executed can never be

host1. Host3 send message3 to host1. This is an example of an open group form of communication.
This can be said as open group because there is a simultaneous sending and receiving of messages.
Also the time order is not accurate and the events can never be ordered accurately.

How Did Truman Support The Bombing Of Hiroshima And Nagasaki
The Japanese way was to fight to the death, so the only way to defeat the Japanese was to bomb them.
With Japan s heavily guarded enemy lines, there was no way that the U.S. would be able to invade
them without the tragic loss of numerous soldiers. As a result, Truman gave the Japanese a chance to
surrender, but they turned it down, so Truman gave the command to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I
support the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki because Japan refused to an unconditional surrender,
it would save many allied lives, it would establish U.S. as a dominant power, and end the war.
The U.S. viewed the bombings as a necessity because Truman gave the Japanese a chance to surrender
when he issued the Potsdam Declaration. In his message, Truman

Operation Bodyguard Research Paper
Operation Bodyguard was the code name for a World War II deception plan employed by the Allied
states before the 1944 invasion of north west Europe. The plan was intended to mislead the German
high command as to the time and place of the invasion.
From January 1942 until the end of the war in Europe in 1945, FBI agents and radio technicians lived
and worked undercover, secretly transmitting coded messages that the Nazis believed came from their
own spies operating in New York. The Nazis believed their operatives were funneling significant
details about U.S. forces, munitions, and war preparations. But in fact, the transmissions were
controlled by the FBI the Nazi spies were FBI double agents. The Bureau s work, known as Operation
Ostrich, was central to our counterintelligence operations throughout the war and was part of a larger
effort by Allied Forces to deceive the enemy called Operation Bodyguard. The Allied effort derived its
name from a statement by British Prime Minister Winston Churchill, who said, In ... Show more

Operatives set out to deceive the Nazi leader about the nature and location of the main Allied thrust so
that he wouldn t be prepared to meet the invasion. The key to Bodyguard s success was the Allies
control of a number of German spies and ability to read coded German messages that confirmed the
Nazis didn t know their agents were compromised. For the FBI, the initial purpose in participating in
the counterintelligence effort was to learn about Nazi espionage, who was involved, how they worked,
and what they wanted to know. Early on, intelligence from Nazis were very interested in U.S.

Social Forces Research Paper
Social forces can be perceived either bad or good depending on what and who they affect. Such social
forces as who we choose to marry, where we are employed, and how much education we receive are
all components of our culture, personal environment, and history. Depending on how you were raised,
your view of these social forces will be either positive or negative because in most cases they either
affect your status in society, when you will choose to have a family, or how much money you will
have for the future. From a young age, I was told by my parents and grandparents to receive good
grades in school because that would allow me to have a bright future. Along with this, I was told that I

The Career Of A Successful Entrepreneur
Entrepreneur Be my own boss and own my own business is the career I am seeking and I am starting
off with getting a degree in Business Administration. Business administration programs teach students
foundational knowledge of business and will give me the jump start I need to be a successful
entrepreneur. (AACSB Accreditation Student Resources, February 22, 2012 par2). My interest in the
world is to help others and to show everyone what excellent customer service is all about. Excellent
customer service is very important in a successful business and everyone deserves it, regardless if
there angry or upset or the worst customer you ever had. If you can change a person s attitude by
helping them anyway you can that s what customer service is all about. Our attitude towards others
determines their attitude towards us. Earl Nightingale, Author and Motivational Speaker. Excellent
customer service is more than what you say or do for your customers. It also means giving customers
a chance to make their feelings known. (SMALL BUSINESS ENCYCLOPEDIA Customer Service,
par 1, 2015) I am a big critic when it comes to customer service because I know what it takes to
deliver the service everyone deserves. To have a successful business you need to know how to treat
people with respect and know how to give excellent customer and in return you ll get the satisfaction
of gaining the trust and respect you need from your customers and the chance to grow your business. I

Commitment was shown by fellow people and me doing service from 9 am to 1 pm in the brutal cold.
However, we all made it work. In between breaks, we would warm up near a fire, stand in the sun,

Controversy with civility was shown when I was working with different people from different

Common purpose was shown when everyone in my group, including me had to make Truly Living

Casino Legislation Impacts The Local And State Economy
Casino legislation impacts the local and state economy. How it affects the economy fluctuates
depending on surrounding circumstances. These circumstances include location and who owns the
casino. A local casino will result in changes in Government revenue, public services, and surrounding
businesses. Casinos bring a local economy a new tax source and new jobs but it is crucial to look
further to see if casinos boost the local economy. In one article the writers state the benefits of the new
casino including new jobs and investment. Felsentein, Littlepage, Klacik (2000) then explain that
many casino jobs however require some specific training. This means many employees commute to
work. Also some of local casino employees leave previous jobs in community to come work in the
casino. The casino is not creating for the local economy if workers are commuting or leaving old jobs
(Felsentein, Littlepage, Klacik, 2000)
Where a casino is located is critical to how it affects the economy. A typical local casino does not
bring money to the area like Las Vegas or Atlantic City does. This is because most gamblers in these
two areas are tourist. Tourists bring money to an economy. In many local casinos the gamblers live in
the same city as the casino. When this is the case, gamblers are not bringing money to the economy;
they are transferring money that was already in the local economy. In an article written in 2002, the
Detroit Free Press stated casinos were responsible for draining

What Does The Parachute Symbolize In Lord Of The Flies
Lord of the Flies is one the most controversial novels ever written. It shows that people are evil by
human nature. The story displays this on different levels: literal and symbolic. In Lord of the Flies, the
parachute functions as a turning point in the story. It indirectly causes the death of Simon and it
supports the assumption that there is a beast on the island. The parachute foreshadows death,
symbolizes fear and reminds the boys about the existence of the adult world. To begin with, the
encounter with the parachutist foreshadows and symbolizes death. First of all, a suggestion could be
made that the parachute could ve prevented them from being rescued. After the encounter with the
parachutist, the boys became more cautious and afraid.

of propaganda as it uses many different propaganda techniques as well as rhetorical techniques to
persuade its audience to believe that Captain America can protect them. It uses the strategies of pathos

Captain America s, or SHIELD s, bandwagon and believe in them. To trust them and follow them.
That is a very important technique because that is what makes it more political than anything. The
influence of SHIELD is very important because they are making this piece and using Captain America
as the propaganda. Which brings us to flag waving. The use of Captain America in and of itself is flag
waving. He has always been a symbol of freedom and protection. When the audience looks at Captain
America they see a leader. Also the use of Captain America with his shield. The shield is a symbol of
protection, showing that he will protect the people. It also uses the symbol of the Avengers in the
corner. That symbol shows that he is part of a group that protects not just America, but the entire

We are constantly surrounded by images of the perfect woman. She is tall, thin and beautiful. She
rarely looks older than 25, has a flawless body, and her hair and clothes are always perfect. She is not
human. She is often shown in pieces a stomach, a pair of legs, a beautifully made up eye or mouth.
Our culture judges women, and women judge themselves, against this standard. It is forgotten that
beauty pornography , as Wolf says, focuses on underweight models that are usually 15 to 20 years old.
Flaws, wrinkles and other problems are airbrushed out of the picture. Wolf discusses the effect that
these standards are having on women in the workplace. A woman s beauty, or lack of it, can be used
against her. In 1986, Mechelle Vinson lost a sexual harassment case. Vinson was young and beautiful
and carefully dressed. The district court ruled that her appearance counted against her. (Wolf 38) In
Hopkins v. Price Waterhouse, Ms. Hopkins was denied a partnership because she needed to learn to

Feral Children Research Paper
Feral Children: Examples of Extreme Neglect Socialization is the lifelong process of social interaction
through which individuals acquire a self identity and the physical, mental, and social skills needed for
survival in society (Kendall 87). In other words, this is the time when the individual figures out who
they are, what they feel, and what they think in order to participate in society. This is where we learn
role taking, how to control our behavior, and how to communicate with others (Kendal 87). A feral
child is a child who has lived isolated from human contact, experiences little to no human care, love,
or social behavior, and human language. Some feral children, as stated by the Free Dictionary, this
child abandonment is normally ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Everything the child sees, they imitate. During this time, they learn to walk, talk, learn, and develop
their own personality. A critical part of socialization comes from George Herbet Mead s Role Taking
and Stages of the Self theory (Kendall 95 96). The first step is the preparatory stage where children
learn to imitate the people around them, usually parents and other family members. The second stage
is the play stage where children start to develop language skills and take the role of another person
that they look up to. The final stage is the game stage, where children begin to understand who they
are, and who other people are as well. In this stage, children learn to play sports and participate in
other activities that require them to have an idea of what society expects of them (Kendall 95 96). If a
child is denied the ability to go through these stages, they do not receive the proper socialization that
they will need to survive in the world. Socialization among children is very important. A child must
learn how to walk, talk, eat, use the restroom, read, write, and do many other important skills. Without
socialization, these children will not be able to develop intelligence and will not learn how to perform
basic daily functions. Children must be taught and know the values, beliefs, and norms of the
surrounding culture in order to know what is expected of them

Respiratory Failure Essay
This form of respiratory distress is commonly seen in premature newborns because their lungs are
immature and do not have enough surfactant to keep the lungs open. It is seen almost immediately
after birth or in the few hours following birth.
Cause
This decrease in surfactant causes the infant work harder to draw air into the lungs, which leads to low
oxygenation to the rest of the body s organs. The more premature the infant, the greater the chance of
developing RDS; other factors include previous baby s with RDS, a mother with diabetes, C section or
early delivery, a fast labor, a multiple fetus pregnancy and/or any problems that would reduce or
disrupt blood flow to the infant through the placenta.

They are also given supplemental warm, humidified oxygen but must be closely watched to avoid
toxicity. The doctor may also chose to use a CPAP machine to force air into the baby s nose, or a
mechanical ventilator if the infant is unable to breathe on its own.
Nursing Intervention
1. Monitor infant VS, note respiration rate, depth, lung sounds.
2. Administer supplemental oxygen as ordered.
3. Keep infant warm because premature infants are unable to regulate body temp
4. Administer IV fluids
5. Assess need for suction to clear mouth, nose, throat of mucus.
6. Monitor arterial blood gas
Nursing Diagnosis
1. Impaired gas exchange related to immature lungs
2. Ineffective breathing pattern
3. Impaired spontaneous ventilation
4. Risk for unstable blood glucose
Long Term RDS worsens from days 2 7 (Neonatal) and if an infant dies from the complication it is
usually during this time period. Other long term problems include bleeding into the lungs or brain,
issues with the development of the lungs, blood clots, mental disability due to lack of oxygen, and
possible blindness or eye

Key Themes In The Film Kramer V. Kramer
The movie Kramer v. Kramer is about a man named Billy Kramer, who is left with his son for 18
months. After those 18 months Kramer devolves a bond with his son that he didn t have in the past
years. After those 18 months Kramer s wife comes to take the child back by filing for custody. There
are a few key themes from the movie Kramer v Kramer. One of the main themes is the theme about
men being able to take care of children just as good as a female. This movie helped change America s
perspective on the male parent. Another theme of the movie is that the male should appreciate his wife
and all of her house duties. At this time in America men were more focused on their careers than they
were focused on their wives. This led to depression and other mental illnesses on women at the time.
The movie Kramer v Kramer starts with Bill Kramer coming home to find out that his wife is leaving

doesn t follow the female s story. If you are a man watching this movie you feel empathy for Kramer
at the end when he is about to lose his child. Women may feel differently because they can relate to
the perspective of a female more than a male. The film maker had an agenda to bring this legal issue
to the movie screen to hopefully change opinions on the issue. The issue at the time was that men didn
t have a fair chance at winning custody in a legal dispute. Years after this movie the judicial system

The book and film that I have decided to compare are Candide written by Voltaire and The Pursuit of
Happyness, whose screenplay was done by Steven Conrad. The main characters in both The Pursuit of
Happyness and Candide have a very optimistic view of the world and are searching for their own ideas
of true happiness but they both go about it in two very different ways. By the end of the book and film
each character learns what it takes for them to reach their own version of the pursuit of happiness.
Although each character finds happiness in their own way their main goals of finding out how to live a
truly happy life are the same. In Candide and the Pursuit of Happyness, the main characters, Candide
and Chris, both have a very optimistic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The character Candide tries to find his happiness through the materialistic things in the world because
he believes that that s what s going to make him happy, The first day of their journey was rather
pleasant. They were heartened by the thought that they now possessed more treasure than all of Asia,
Europe and Africa could assemble (Voltaire Pg.67). Candide thinks that if he has lots of money then
somehow his life will be so much better altogether, but Candide realizes that money is something that
can go away just as fast as it came. Just because money can buy you a lot of things its not going to
necessarily make your life a happier one. Money is something that can bring you joy but it isn t going
to bring your true happiness. Joy is one of those things that s there for a little bit but it can be taken
away very easily, true happiness on the other hand is something that stays with you. While Candide
looks to materialistic things for happiness Chris uses the motivation to be a good father to his son to
find his own happiness. Christopher Gardner: You gotta trust me, all right? Christopher: I trust you.
Christopher Gardner: Cause I m getting a better job (Conrad, The Pursuit of Happyness). Gardner will
do anything to make his son happy and to give his son the life that he deserves. In this case in order to

The Pullman Palace Car Company Manufactured Railroad Cards
The Pullman Palace Car Company manufactured railroad cards. The workers were not part of a union
and lived in the town of Pullman where the company controlled the rent, utilities, and politics. Due to
a poor economy, the Pullman Palace Car Company laid off many employees and cut wages for those
remaining by 25% and didn t lower the costs in the town of Pullman. The ARU came on board and
made numerous attempts to negotiate with the company and none were successful. I agree with the
workers striking considering they were in a lose lose situation with their employer controlling their
entire life not only their employment but their living conditions. The company had no reason to want
to deal with them because they controlled everything.

Position Statement Of Julian Rotter s View On Social Behavior
Evaluation: Position Statement
Learning is a social process that we gather through interaction with others in our everyday life. As
human, we develop different learning mechanism that helps shape our personalities from our
environment, imitation, and behavior. Personality psychology has been able to attempt and continue to
explain the complex organism of a person s behavior that guide ones direction and pattern of a person
s life.
Evaluation: Validity and Accuracy
Over a period of time, human beings have developed different skills to help organize a different event
that has occurred in their life to help contribute to their achievements based on his or her aspiration.
The different psychology theorist has examined the Julian Rotter s view on social learning theory that
pursued to explain human behavior and personality both internal and external. Locus of Control

Yoga Based Interventions For Depression And Anxiety Disorders
Abstract
Background: Many people suffer from depression and anxiety disorders across the lifespan. A lot of
research has been done on depression and stress management but not enough on the impact of the
combination of occupational therapy services and yoga. Occupational therapists are trained and skilled
to help those diagnosed with mental disorders. In addition to traditional Occupational Therapy
practices, CAMs (complimentary alternative medicines) such as yoga with emphasis on mindfulness
based stress reduction can help those suffering recover more quickly.
Purpose: The aim of my research is to see Occupational Therapy interventions and Yoga based
interventions effectiveness in young adults suffering with depression and anxiety disorders.
Methods: 21 day meditation, pre test and post test questionnaire, interviews with participants, previous
research done on topic
Results: I hope to discover that yoga based interventions along with occupational therapy
interventions show a tremendous improvement in the feelings and attitudes of the participants
suffering with depression and anxiety disorders.
Introduction
Yoga based interventions fall under a very broad topic of complementary and alternative medicine.
The United States National Library of Medicine defines CAMs as the term for medical products and
practices that are not part of standard care. Standard care is what medical doctors, doctors of
osteopathy, and allied health professionals, such as nurses and physical

Investigating L2 Learners Reanalysis Processes After...
1. Introduction
This proposal aims to investigate L2 learners reanalysis processes after garden paths (GP). Recent L1
studies have suggested the lingering first interpretation even after attempts at reanalysis. For example,
when the parser reads the sentence, While Anna dressed the baby spit up on the bed , it often persists
in the interpretation Anna dressed the baby despite the globally correct interpretation being Anna
dressed herself (Christianson et al., 2001). This phenomenon is attributed not to the incapability of
revising the initially assigned interpretation but to the failure in erasing the residual memory of the
interpretation (Slattery et al., 2013). Contrary to L1 reanalysis processes, L2 reanalysis processes
remain largely unexplored (e.g. Jacob Felser, 2016). Thus, this proposal will address L2 learners
reanalysis processes.
2. Experiment 1 and 2
Experiment 1 and 2 are designed to examine the parser s final interpretation of the object subject
ambiguity. For this purpose, 48 sentences, exemplified in (1a) and (1b), have been created
(1a). After the mother dressed her son had some lunch at the small table. (GP)
(1b). After the mother dressed, her son had some lunch at the small table. (Non GP)
The sentence (1a) contains GP and thus requires reanalysis at had , whereas (1b) does not due to a
comma placed after dressed . If the parser ends up in the interpretation the mother dressed herself

B. Catalysis occurs on a specific site on the enzyme (the active site). The active site is usually less
than 5% of the surface area of the protein, and is always in a cleft. The rest of the molecule serves to
present the active site in a three dimensional structure that is capable of binding substrate and
catalyzing the reaction. Binding to a substrate is very specific, and involves ionic interactions, H
bonds and van der Waals forces. C. Only amino acids with polar side chains participate directly in
catalysis (Cys, His, Ser, Asp, Glu and Lys). Some reactions require electron acceptors, and since no
side chains are good electron acceptors coenzymes and cofactors are required for catalysis of some
reactions. D. Enzymes catalyze reactions by several means: ▪ by orienting the substrate molecules. ▪
by increasing the effective concentration of the substrate. ▪ by acid base catalysis ▪ by covalent
catalysis ▪ by using the energy of substrate binding to promote the enzyme catalyzed reaction.
III. Criteria For Establishing The Presence Of Enzymes
Since most of the known biological catalysts are proteins two criteria are generally used for
establishing the existence of enzymes. The first is that the rate of a reaction in the presence of an
enzyme is greater than the rate in its absence. Because the uncatalyzed rates of most biologically
important reactions are effectively zero, the mere

Darkness In The Sun Also Rises
On the other hand, Hemingway uses the element of darkness to show when a character is being
genuine. In the dark they are hidden from view of others and under this safety they show their real
emotions. Jake and Brett are walking together to a park to get away from the others back at the café.
In the light, Jake keeps his love for Brett a secret from all of his friends but gives the truth when it was
clouding over again. In the park it was dark under the trees. Do you still love me, Jake? [Brett] Yes,
[Jake] said (Hemingway 187). When the two are talking, the shade of the trees and the clouds blocks
sunlight making the atmosphere dark. Under cover from the light and away from the others, Brett asks

When Jake watches the bullfights in Spain, he meets a young bullfighter named Pedro Romero. He
mentions, Romero s face was very brown. He had very nice manners, (Hemingway 179). Romero s
dark skin replaces the need for dark lighting for showing the truth and also implies that he is always
genuine since his skin color cannot change. Unlike, Georgette and Harvey, Romero is also courteous
and pleasant even though the darkness of his skin would represent a character s ugliness. When Jake
watches the bullfights he realizes that, afterward, all that was faked turned bad and gave an unpleasant
feeling. Romero s bull fighting gave real emotion, because he kept the absolute purity of line in his
movements and always quietly and calmly let the horns pass him close each time (Hemingway 171).
Pedro Romero s bull fighting style was not exaggerated and staged like the others, but just what it
should be which makes it real. Jake gives Romero many compliments and even invites him to drink
together; meanwhile he merely ignores all the other bullfighters. This shows that Jake likes Romero as
a person, not just because he is a bullfighter. This attraction that Jake feels towards the young
bullfighter is due to the fighter s authentic way of tiring out and killing the bulls. Jake recognizes that
Romero is not just putting on a performance and acting to emphasize the danger but that Romero

favored subjects to study because to me it instructs students how to be intelligent, how to become a
more creative and critical thinker, and be able to develop ethical values and imagination. You can
express yourself more efficiently in English than you can in any other subject. This class has truly
made me a more confident writer and helped me express myself in different ways through the different
types of papers I wrote. By writing different types of papers I have improved multiple areas of my

Non Meat Eating Lifestyle Can Be Difficult Essay
There has always been a negative remark towards people that choose not to eat meat. I have been a
pescartrain, a person that abstains from eating any meat except fish, for three years and most of the
time people tend to either assume that I want to lose weight or try to convince me that it is an
unhealthy lifestyle. They always say, you aren t getting enough protein , or one of my personal
favorites, so, you only eat salad? . As absurd as it sounds, I get asked this multiple times either from
people I just met and even my family. People often stereotype vegetarians as skinny and extremely fit;
however that is not the case. Adapting to non meat eating lifestyle can be difficult; however there are
many benefits. Even though many people assume vegetarians do not get enough protein, becoming a
vegetarian can decrease the chances of certain cancers and heart diseases.
The idea of abstaining from meat has been around for a long period of time. According to Claus
Leitzmann from the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition it has been around since the sixth century
B.C. and originated from the Orphic mysteries followers. A greek philosopher by the name of
Pythagorean, and other influential persons promoted ethical vegetarianism until the 19th century. After
that it begin to fade away until it was reintroduced during the Renaissance Era and the Age of
Enlightenment. When people were informed of the benefits of becoming a vegetarian or vegan, a

In 1911, the book The Phantom of the Opera , written by Gaston Leroux, was published. In April of
1929, Universal Studios premiered a silent, black and white film based on the book (The Phantom of

is kind of a flashback and it s not really taking place in real time. That s not very apparent throughout
the show and it does not really impact it but I enjoy that it s different. I also never noticed until I was
rewatching the performance for this journal that the lot that the chandelier is in at the start of the show

John Henry Holiday, presently recognized as Doc, was born on August 14, 1851 in Griffin. Doc s
parents were Alice Jane McKey and Henry Burroughs Holiday. They offered a high quality education

Social Media Impact on Online Consumer Behavior Essay
Discussion First the results of this study indicate that brand awareness (H1) has a significant influence
on the purchase intention of online shoppers. Specifically this means that when people consider
buying a product or service online, they would prefer a brand which has been advertized and they
know about it. Nevertheless, brand awareness is likely to be a leading factor in the search for
information stage in the online pre purchase process. In this also called consideration stage (David

If however, the information does not correspond with these needs, it is logical to be rejected. The
importance of relevance is also in line with the findings of Cheung, Lee, Rabjohn (2008). Secondly, an
explanation for the insignificance of the timeliness factor could be found in the measurement
construct. Only one item was used to test this factor which might explain the non significance of this
variable. This is also explained further in the limitations and further research section. Another possible
explanation for the not significant relationship between timeliness and purchase intention might be
found in the context of the study. In the online environment, topics related to hotels may not be as time
sensitive as fashion topics, for example. Reviews from the past could even be perceived as valuable,
because they can help customers to track down the reputation of a certain hotel. Thirdly, accuracy was
also found insignificant and an explanation could be that it is a rather subjective term. A certain
message could be perceived as accurate for some and imprecise for others. Moreover, the participants
of the experiment could not know if the information in the reviews was definitely true or definitely
false. Furthermore, for people that are looking for additional information in order to make the right
choice, it might be difficult to decide whether or not the buzz is accurate, correct or reliable. This is

Activated Roal
What is a trend and what makes a trend a trend? What causes people to partake in trends?
A trend is a large, measurable shift that influences our value and behavior. A trend is triggered when a
force asserts itself on a culture, forcing that culture to respond and change. Trends stick with people
and usually makes a big difference in the life of people who are caught in the trend. There are many
types of trends, such as clothing trends, technology trends, electronic trends, beauty trends, etc.. When
asking ourselves why do people partake in trends we realize how easy this question can be answered.
Advertisements and the feeling of fitting in influence every single one of us to take part in a trend. We
may not realize we are in a trend because they can be so simple, but we are. Wearing sweaters, jeans,
and Uggs is a fall/winter trend and many people are caught in the trend without realizing they are
because it s such a simple outfit you don t think much of it. A popular trend that has a lot of people

dimensions of 183 cm x 122 cm. The painting overall is a critique on members of the African
American race. With this painting, Basquiat is questioning how an African American can be a
policeman and work to enforce rules that were meant to enslave African Americans. Basquiat
intentionally paints little details to show how African Americans are controlled by the White majority
in America. For example, the figure itself is a black mass painted on a completely white background.

Film is a powerful medium to communicate through. Film can also be easily exploited. In the
beginning, the first inventors were not interested in film being a largely entertainment and cultural

Further analysis in the various Chinese styles of nationalism demonstrates how political parties
affected filmmaking in the 1930s. The Chinese Communist Party and the Kuomintang Part, also called

One of a few reasons that having a choice can cause issues is the age of consent, the age of consent
varies from state to state, many schools and places of education don t offer education on sexual health

mother of the baby can cause problems if an individual has decided to be sexually active that should

people need and increasing the frequency of unsafe abortions. Especially in the case of minors looking
for abortions, in states that do not require parental consent or parental notification of the abortion the
individual may not tell their guardian which may result in financial problems and unsafe

Analysis Of Dot s Donut Shop
Despite its location, Dot s Donut Shop was about to get famous. Dot s Donut Shop was built on the
side of a lonely road. The owner and boss of the shop was a strict and mean man named Mr.Dot. The
baker who makes the donuts was a kind and humble person named Raphael. The cash register was a
poor and depressed man named Bob. These three runned the shop. Customers barely came. Those
customers who did come often said that the donuts Raphael made are their favorite. The shop was
open from 5 am to 11pm. It was 10:51. Raphael was beginning to clean up the kitchen while Bob was
cleaning the tables. Hey Bob, want a donut, Raphael asked. Sure, Bob responded. Raphael handed
Bob a donut. Thank you, Raphael, Bob said as he took the delicious and ... Show more content on

In time Mr. Dot became super rich and upgraded his shop. He also hired new employees, like janitors,
waiters, and more bakers. But it was never enough. Mr. Dot added more rooms, more workers, and
this brought in more customers. This shop was now a huge building. The only bad thing was that there
were barely any breaks. The shop was open everyday from 5:00 am to 12.00 midnight. On the top
floor, Mr. Dot was counting his money in his office. Bob knocked on the door. What do you want,
groaned Mr. Dot. Bob walked into the money filled room. Rolled up dollars with rubber bands were
everywhere. Sir, may I please have a break, Bob pleaded. No, we have customers that still are waiting
for their orders, Mr.Dot snapped. Isn t five hours of rest enough, Mr.Dot added. Not really, Bob
responded. Mr.Dot looked at Bob sternly. It is if your making money, Mr.Dot yelled. Now get out,
Mr.Dot screamed. Bob left the room and started his way to the cash register.
Months past. Raphael was in the kitchen washing the dishes. The janitor mopped the floor very
recently and was still wet. The janitor was now cleaning next to the oven. An alarm went off. He saw a
masked figure with a bag of money and Mr.Dot running after him. Somebody catch that burglar. he
screamed. The janitor ran to the telephone extremely carefully since he noticed the floor was wet.
Raphael ran to try to catch the burglar but slipped and hit the oven. The oven activated. The janitors

Oppression and Spiritual Deterioration in William Blake s Poem London
London
I wander thro each charter d street, 1
Near where the charter d Thames does flow, 2
And mark in every face I meet, 3
Marks of weakness, marks of woe. 4
In every cry of every Man, 5
In every Infant s cry of fear, 6
In every voice, in every ban, 7
The mind forg d manacles I hear: 8
How the Chimney sweeper s cry 9
Every blackning Church appalls, 10
And the hapless Soldier s sigh, 11
Runs the blood down Palace walls. 12
But most thro midnight streets I hear 13
How the youthful Harlot s curse 14
Blasts the new born Infant s tear, 15
And blights with plagues the Marriage hearse. 16 ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The groups (Church, Palace, Husbands) are chastised by Blake for their contractual interest in others,
but lack of responsible concern.
In lines three and four, the author begins to point out the visual evidences of society s spiritual
malaise. Blake uses the word mark several times to show the reader the problems he sees have
outward signs marks of weakness, marks of woe. In stanza two, Blake leaves the visible evidence for
the audible evidence, and we begin to hear the groans of a fallen world. Man and infant cry one in
experience, one in innocence yet, both in a fallen world, both raising a pained voice. From line three
on, the poem is filled with mournful, weary, destructive sounds the pounding out of the mind forg d
manacles ; the sad weep! weep! of the chimney sweeper (Blake 33); the dying soldier s sigh; the harlot
s explosive, withering curse. All of these sounds contribute to the picture of society reeling in the
deadly stages of metastasizing cancer.
Repetition is at its most concentrated use in stanza two where the word every is used five times (seven
times overall in the poem). Blake certainly wants the reader to know that the signs of oppression and
slavery are everywhere and on every face no one is exempt.
In line seven, Blake again skillfully uses a word with multiple meanings. Ban can be a curse,
condemnation, marriage proclamation, or young French soldier. As a

Iago Is The Protagonist In Othello
William Shakespeare s Othello is a remarkable tale of trust, deceitfulness, lust and the most
destructive of human emotions: vengeance and hatred. Iago better known as Othello s antagonist
embodies vengeance and hatred to move an agenda to squash all who oppose Iago s plans. As defined
by Merrium Webster the definition of a protagonist is a principal character in a literary work or a
leading actor, character, or participant in a literary work. Othello by Shakespeare is a play about
Othello an example of a tragic hero with all figures centered around Othello as the protagonist yet,
Othello has two main leading characters. Iago and Othello have stark contrasts as leading roles and
different themes represented through the actions, words, and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

As a masterful leading machiavellian character Iago exploits the flaw all characters poses in Othello
which is faith versus doubt in others. A powerful role to mold an entire play behind the goal of a
singular entity under the eyes of a scholar qualifies as a protagonist( Hull). Iago breaks the boundaries
that define antagonist or protagonist by being complex enough and having enough lines that place him
on par if not above Othello (West 42 ). The main flaw in the protagonist argument is how Iago is a
static character without any clear transformation. Evidence from his lack of change exist in act one
and to the final act is continuously lying and trying to create chaos. Antagonist or protagonist Iago s
actions qualify as morally wrong when usually a protagonist that drives the plot is working for good;
however, by definition a protagonist is not inertly of good moral code. ( Hull) Iago has an interesting
set of flaws and advantages showing characteristics of a psychopath. Without flaws Iago would lose
his humane characteristics and potentially lose the audiences interest ( West 13). Iago has no positive
moral compass and an unexplained desire to destroy friend or foe even after the fact that Othello
murders Desdemona qualifies the character as psychotic. Iago even recognizes his planning of evil
actions to ruin Othello as simply a game Let us be conjunctive against him. If thou canst cuckold him,
thou dost thyself a pleasure, me a sport. (Act 1 Scene

Deep Neck Space Infection Essay
Deep neck space infection (DNSI) means infection in the potential spaces and fascial planes of the
neck, either with abscess formation or cellulitis. Before the antibiotic era, infections of the deep fascial
spaces of the head and neck were fairly common and were a source of considerable morbidity and
mortality. The advent of antibiotics has reduced the overall number of deep neck space infections but
the same still occur in the general population, with a definite potential for significant morbidity, and
even mortality, with improper or delayed treatment. DNSI are found more commonly in individuals of
specific groups such as, immunocompromised individuals recovering from organ transplants or
chemotherapy, or those with acquired immunodeficiency ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Treatment of DNSI includes antibiotic therapy, airway management and surgical intervention.
Management of DNSI is traditionally based on prompt surgical drainage of the abscess followed by
antibiotics or nonsurgical treatment using appropriate antibiotics in the case of cellulitis. The advent of
modern imaging techniques has made it possible to diagnose these complications earlier and to
localize them exactly. Proper diagnosis and prompt management can effectively overcome the disease
and provide a cure without complications. The main aim of our study was to share our experience in
terms of presentation, clinical trends, common sites involved, bacteriology, management,
complications, and outcomes. The study also emphasizes the importance

With Japan s heavily guarded enemy lines, there was no way that the U.S. would be able to invade them without the tragic loss of numerous soldiers. As a result, Truman gave the Japanese a chance to surrender, but they turned it down, so Truman gave the command to bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki. At this time in America men were more focused on their careers than they were focused on their wives. This led to depression and other mental illnesses on women at the time. The movie Kramer v Kramer starts with Bill Kramer coming home to find out that his wife is leaving him. If you are a man watching this movie you feel empathy for Kramer at the end when he is about to lose his child. Comparing Candide And The Pursuit Of Happyness The book and film that I have decided to compare are Candide written by Voltaire and The Pursuit of Happyness, whose screenplay was done by Steven Conrad. The main characters in both The Pursuit of Happyness and Candide have a very optimistic view of the world and are searching for their own ideas of true happiness but they both go about it in two very different ways. By the end of the book and film each character learns what it takes for them to reach their own version of the pursuit of happiness. Candide thinks that if he has lots of money then somehow his life will be so much better altogether, but Candide realizes that money is something that can go away just as fast as it came. Just because money can buy you a lot of things its not going to necessarily make your life a happier one. Money is something that can bring you joy but it isn t going to bring your true happiness. • 26. Investigating L2 Learners Reanalysis Processes After... 1. Introduction This proposal aims to investigate L2 learners reanalysis processes after garden paths (GP). Recent L1 studies have suggested the lingering first interpretation even after attempts at reanalysis. For example, when the parser reads the sentence, While Anna dressed the baby spit up on the bed , it often persists in the interpretation Anna dressed the baby despite the globally correct interpretation being Anna dressed herself (Christianson et al., 2001). This phenomenon is attributed not to the incapability of revising the initially assigned interpretation but to the failure in erasing the residual memory of the interpretation (Slattery et al., 2013). Contrary to L1 reanalysis processes, L2 reanalysis processes remain largely unexplored (e.g. Jacob Felser, 2016). Thus, this proposal will address L2 learners reanalysis processes. 2. Experiment 1 and 2 Experiment 1 and 2 are designed to examine the parser s final interpretation of the object subject ambiguity. For this purpose, 48 sentences, exemplified in (1a) and (1b), have been created (1a). After the mother dressed her son had some lunch at the small table. (GP) (1b). After the mother dressed, her son had some lunch at the small table. (Non GP) The sentence (1a) contains GP and thus requires reanalysis at had , whereas (1b) does not due to a comma placed after dressed . The rest of the molecule serves to present the active site in a three dimensional structure that is capable of binding substrate and catalyzing the reaction. Binding to a substrate is very specific, and involves ionic interactions, H bonds and van der Waals forces. C. Only amino acids with polar side chains participate directly in catalysis (Cys, His, Ser, Asp, Glu and Lys). Some reactions require electron acceptors, and since no side chains are good electron acceptors coenzymes and cofactors are required for catalysis of some reactions. D. • 46. malaise. Blake uses the word mark several times to show the reader the problems he sees have outward signs marks of weakness, marks of woe. In stanza two, Blake leaves the visible evidence for the audible evidence, and we begin to hear the groans of a fallen world. Man and infant cry one in experience, one in innocence yet, both in a fallen world, both raising a pained voice. From line three on, the poem is filled with mournful, weary, destructive sounds the pounding out of the mind forg d manacles ; the sad weep! weep! of the chimney sweeper (Blake 33); the dying soldier s sigh; the harlot s explosive, withering curse. All of these sounds contribute to the picture of society reeling in the deadly stages of metastasizing cancer. Repetition is at its most concentrated use in stanza two where the word every is used five times (seven times overall in the poem). Blake certainly wants the reader to know that the signs of oppression and slavery are everywhere and on every face no one is exempt. In line seven, Blake again skillfully uses a word with multiple meanings. Ban can be a curse, condemnation, marriage proclamation, or young French soldier. As a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

As a masterful leading machiavellian character Iago exploits the flaw all characters poses in Othello which is faith versus doubt in others. A powerful role to mold an entire play behind the goal of a singular entity under the eyes of a scholar qualifies as a protagonist( Hull). Iago breaks the boundaries that define antagonist or protagonist by being complex enough and having enough lines that place him on par if not above Othello (West 42 ). The main flaw in the protagonist argument is how Iago is a static character without any clear transformation. Evidence from his lack of change exist in act one and to the final act is continuously lying and trying to create chaos. Antagonist or protagonist Iago s actions qualify as morally wrong when usually a protagonist that drives the plot is working for good; however, by definition a protagonist is not inertly of good moral code. ( Hull) Iago has an interesting set of flaws and advantages showing characteristics of a psychopath. Without flaws Iago would lose his humane characteristics and potentially lose the audiences interest ( West 13). Iago has no positive moral compass and an unexplained desire to destroy friend or foe even after the fact that Othello murders Desdemona qualifies the character as psychotic. Iago even recognizes his planning of evil actions to ruin Othello as simply a game Let us be conjunctive against him. If thou canst cuckold him, thou dost thyself a pleasure, me a sport.
