Secondary sources and descriptive method were also employed. Findings from the study revealed that government should include teaching of history in primary and secondary curriculum and it should be taught at all levels in secondary schools, and some recommendation were made.

This article discusses an action research project aimed at better preparing student teachers for teaching in diverse classrooms. The project brought together various stakeholders to design a "Diversity Institute" integrated into a teacher preparation program. While some students developed new understandings of diversity, many only achieved a superficial awareness. This revealed the deep learning and unlearning dynamics of teacher development, and the need for more time exploring diversity issues in teacher education.
These are short courses for junior staff to prepare them for teaching and
research supervision. They will focus on pedagogy, research ethics, supervision skills,
mentoring and advising students.
