EuroGeographics' members have diverse responsibilities and approaches, so the goal is to work openly with users while maintaining exemplary practices for reuse of geospatial data.

FARA is an organization that aims to facilitate knowledge sharing in African agriculture through its RAILS program. RAILS has [1] brought together stakeholders through working groups and learning teams, [2] promoted ICT use through training and infrastructure support, and [3] developed knowledge sharing platforms including an online portal and discussion groups. Challenges include low funding and awareness of knowledge management, but RAILS has strengthened capacities and aims to scale out its platforms to link researchers and farmers.

Community Update
Hisham Ibrahim gave a community update at IRNOG 4 on February 3rd, 2022. He discussed the RIPE NCC's strategic document for 2022-2026, activity plan and budget for 2022, and community activities. He also provided updates on sanctions and due diligence efforts. Specifically, he noted the RIPE NCC's obligations under EU sanctions regulations and improvements made to sanctions monitoring. Lastly, he highlighted the RIPE NCC's new translated wiki for practical member information.

The Internet is a powerful tool to reach people. Internet usage is growing in every country, especially because of Internet on the smartphone. Unfortunately, this tool is often neglected or underutilized by volunteers and professionals working in the dementia awareness and caregiving domain. Our current methods of reaching out families affected by dementia are unable to cover many segments of society, and the Internet is a tool we cannot afford to neglect any more.
This presentation was made in the Asia Pacific Regional Conference of Alzheimer’s Disease International, held on 7-9 November, 2014, India Habitat Centre, New Delhi, India. It discusses the possibilities and limitations of using the Internet to make information available and also to support families coping with dementia. It covers topics relevant to persons considering whether and how to use the Internet. These include content creation approaches and criteria, and how to increase the reach of online resources and services. The talk also covers aspects like community building, maintenance of online material, and how online resources can complement other modalities used for awareness and support. The presentation briefly discusses how organizations can approach the project of developing online resources.

Presentations delivered on the 7th of September 2015 in Barbados, during the launch of the new FAO project “Strengthening decent rural employment opportunities for young women and men in the Caribbean”, developed in collaboration with the IFAD.
The project will operate for 3 years in 9 countries of the Sub-region, namely: St. Lucia, Grenada, Guyana, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Barbados, Haiti, Belize, Cuba and Dominican Republic.
The programme is an example of effective inter-agency cooperation and aims to promote rural youth employment opportunities in the Caribbean by facilitating the development of targeted policies, partnerships and investments. The project will be implemented by the FAO Sub-regional Office for the Caribbean, in Barbados. The presentations show the perspectives and contributions of the different partners involved in the project.
