CASE Student Programs and Young Alumni Conference
November 28 & 29, Denver, Colorado
Day 2: Affinity Group Programming
Presenters: Jeremy Wingerter and Chad Harris
La trasformazione dei media nell'era della partecipazione - Come cambia la fruizione di video, musica e testo sui nuovi strumenti forniti da Web 2.0, cellulari e Second Life
The document discusses the rise of mobile technologies and the transition to a mobile society. It notes that between 2002-2007, the number of mobile workers in Italy grew from 8.58 million to an estimated 9.88 million. Several drivers were fueling this mobile revolution, including digital music, peer-to-peer file sharing, blogging, and the personalization and ease of use of new technologies. Mobile phones were increasingly seen not just as communication tools but as lifestyle products. The document predicts that the future will involve over a trillion connected devices and a fully "mobilized information society."
This document contains slides from a presentation titled "Why Projects Fail...and what you can do about it". The presentation identifies four main reasons why projects fail: things the boss does, things the team should have done, things the software does or does not do, and things that could have been caught. It provides examples for each category and discusses practices and processes that can help projects succeed, such as using vision and scope documents, estimation techniques, use cases, and acceptance criteria. The presenters are consultants who have led many development teams and believe better practices can help teams build better software.
A review of techology disruptive innovation dynamics. Next technology trends and what's happening in the digital video field with the new social tech (english will follow, sorry :)

Infoservi - Reinventing The Web From The StreetsAlberto D'Ottavi
The course on Web 2.0 in Naba - Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, Milan, the exercise about mobile social networking made for Nokia University Program and some perspectives about the development of the Mobile Internet
This document summarizes a roundtable discussion on "Blogs and business" held at the PiÃ1Libri publishing fair in Rome on December 7th, 2007. The discussion focused on whether companies can engage in social media and how. Some of the key points made were that companies need to find the right tone and style to engage in conversations already happening online, that corporate communication needs some "deprogramming", and that partnerships with social media have been successful when done appropriately. Several speakers with experience in corporate blogging and online marketing participated in the discussion.
The document discusses the growth of the global mobile market from 2004 to 2007 and forecasts it will reach over 1 billion units sold in 2007. It also discusses the transition to smartphones and the rise of mobile apps and services for social networking, media sharing, and location-based services. This represents the beginning of Mobile Web 2.0 and changes how people access and share information on the go. New models for mobile search, advertising, mapping, and user-generated content will be important to the development of the mobile internet.
A study about applying Web 2.0 to traditional media like newspapers and magazine, with a gallery of existing examples. In italian, english version avail. on request

svago.
