Lokvani was an internet kiosk program launched in 2004 in Sitapur district, Uttar Pradesh, India to provide government to citizen services. It aimed to increase transparency, efficiency and provide services anytime anywhere. Citizens could submit and track public complaints online and obtain certificates. Over time it expanded services like tendering, arms license status, employment opportunities and land records. By 2013 it had received over 179,000 complaints of which most were resolved and received several awards for its successful public-private partnership model.
