Malnutrition Essay
Writing an essay on the topic of malnutrition can be a challenging task due to the complexity
and sensitivity of the subject matter. Malnutrition encompasses a wide range of issues, including
insufficient or excessive intake of nutrients, leading to adverse effects on health. Addressing this
topic requires a thorough understanding of various aspects, such as the causes, consequences,
and potential solutions to malnutrition.
One of the difficulties in writing such an essay lies in the need for extensive research to gather
reliable and up-to-date information. Malnutrition is a multifaceted issue influenced by factors
such as socio-economic conditions, cultural practices, and access to healthcare. Therefore, a
comprehensive exploration of these factors is essential to present a well-rounded and informed
perspective.
Furthermore, conveying the severity and global impact of malnutrition while maintaining a
balanced tone can be challenging. It is crucial to approach the topic with sensitivity,
acknowledging the human impact without sensationalizing or oversimplifying the complexities
involved. Striking the right balance between raising awareness and providing accurate
information is vital to create a compelling and meaningful essay.
Crafting a coherent and structured essay on malnutrition also requires a strong thesis statement
and a well-organized outline. Navigating through the causes, effects, and potential solutions
while maintaining a logical flow is essential for reader comprehension. Additionally,
incorporating real-life examples, case studies, and statistical data can enhance the essay's
credibility and impact.
In conclusion, writing an essay on malnutrition demands careful consideration of various factors
and a commitment to thorough research. It requires a balance between conveying the gravity of
the issue and offering constructive insights into possible solutions. Despite its challenges,
addressing the topic with diligence and compassion can result in a compelling and informative
essay.

Neutron Stars Research Paper
Before a neutron star is created it is a supernova. Supernova s are difficult to see in
our galaxy because dust is blocking our view. When there s a change in the core in a
star a supernova occurs.
When giant stars die in supernova and their core collapse that is when a neutron star
is created. This neutron star is several times bigger than the sun.Because the neutrons
are tightly put together into a super dense object the supernova is very heavy it weighs
about 100 million tons.
Neutron stars typically have a surface temperature around 600,000 K.The magnetic
fields are between 10 to the 8th power and 10 to the 15 power as strong as that of
the sun.A neutron star is part of the binary system the survived the deadly blast from
it s supernova.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Consumer electronics, broadcast and professional systems
and information technology products are widely used in this globe. For example
Japan was one of the leading countries in the industry of electronical goods. Japanese
electronic products share a large portion of the Japanese trade industry, and their high
quality ranks them as one of the Japan s representative industrial products. Many
Japanese electronics manufacturers are expanding their business overseas, which

Service Another strength of Sony is that their international presence makes it very
convenient for customers to contact them for after sales services, regardless of the
place of purchase. This helps customers have faith in the product and they know
that if something goes wrong, irrespective of where they are at that point in time
they can always contact a Sony office Wide range of products Sony being such a
large corporation is highly diversified into the electronics field, financial services,
etc. This helps them to sustain because incase one particular industry is slowing
down, it will not affect the entire company as a whole as much as it would if it
were only catering to that industry. Diversification helps reduce risks and therefore
minimizes the chances of failure WEAKNESSES High Pricing In these times,
with a lot of options in electronics Sony s pricing strategy does not seem apt as their
products are relatively expensive to its competitors; whether this be the Sony
VAIO or the Sony PS3. Some people argue that this price can be justified because of
the brand name of Sony and it will most definitely look bad on the company image if
Sony suddenly drops all its prices just to be competitive in the market. In fact, Sony
was forced to lower its PS3 s price by $100 just to
Leadership In John Winthrop s City Upon A Hill
Theme The theme of the text City Upon a Hill by John Winthrop is that good
people have the role of being leaders, who make people strive to be better. John
Winthrop was a preacher upon the Arabella which was a ship carrying hundreds of
Puritans to Massachusetts from England to escape the religious persecution they
were facing. This shows us that he was a brave soul who wanted to help others to
get their religious freedoms. Throughout the story he states that he wanted to create
a model society, he says that for we must consider that wee shall be as a citty upon
a hill . It also stated that, I shall shutt upp this discourse with the exhortation of
Moses, the faithful servant of the lord, in his last farewell to Israel . He quotes

Rhetorical Analysis Of Trump Embarrasses Himself And
Our...
In the New York Times Opinion Editorial Piece, Trump Embarrasses Himself and
Our Country, Nicholas Kristof argues how Donald Trump s picks for his
administration are embarrassing, and do not represent the United States. Stage one
of the informed citizen determines the need for critical self protection when
looking at rhetoric. One should ask two important questions about rhetoric before
analysis, Is a major claim on beliefs/attitudes/values or actions being made? and, Is
the person relying merely relaying information or is he/she strategically presenting
the material? (p. 273 analyzing rhetoric). Applying this to the article by Kristof, I
believe he is making a major claim on values and actions, and that he strategically
wrote the article to persuade/inform the American people that read the New York
Times. It is important to critically analyze claims for potential deception and
misleading statements because of many reasons. First, rhetoric can either inspire a
nation, or it can destroy a nation. If rhetoric is manipulative and deceptive, citizens
can fall into the trap, and begin to believe hateful and untrue things that affect
people s views. It is important that citizens can recognize when leaders are
deceiving us, so they can call it out and try to not let others fall into as well. If one
does not check for deception when looking at a piece of rhetoric, they could vote for
things that clearly are not within their self interest. A rhetor can strategically relay the

Aflac Case Study
Abstract
The HR practices of Aflac were examined in the context of its effect on employee
satisfaction. In 2015, Aflac made the list of 100 best companies to work for as it has
done for the past ___years.
The team examined the benefits provided to the employees and the workplace
culture at Aflac in order to determine why the organization enjoyed a low rate of
employee turnover and why surveys showed that its employees were highly satisfied
with working at Aflac.
Aflac strives to deliver quality services to its 4,500 employees while staying
competitive in the insurance market (Reed, 2015). The team determined that part of
the employee satisfaction resulted from Aflac s decision to not lay off its employees

Aflac has grown not only in the United States but also in Japan, as well. Aflac was
sprouted from the idea of three brothers who believed people needed protection
when a medical problem arose ( Aflac Supplemental Insurance , 2015). Their core
value was always held to high standards and that was to put the policyholders first (
Aflac Supplemental Insurance , 2015). Aflac also strives themselves to be
comprised of a diverse group of individuals. This idea buds the notion that each
individual person brings different strengths to the table and for this reason is why
Aflac has been so successful over the decades.
With the stride to grow and expand worldwide, Aflac has expressed the importance to
recruit and retain the top talent they receive. With a bold idea such as this, Human
Resource Departments have a difficult job to hire top talent employees and ensure
turnover is low. Business Week rated Aflac 21st in best places to work in 2009,
calling on their promoted educational benefits, unlimited tuition reimbursement and
their willingness to provide entry level positions to newly graduated individuals (
Aflac Supplemental Insurance , 2009). It is benefits such as these that keep talented

King Leontes And Queen Hermione Analysis
In Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale, King Leontes and Queen Hermione are aided
by their servants during the play. Leontes s servant Camillo appears to be loyal at
the beginning of the play but quickly switches his loyalty to King Polixenes when
the King discovers his drink was poisoned. Hermione s servent Paulina is loyal the
entire play because she is constantly arguing for Hermione s innocence and fighting
against Leontes s assumptions. As the maleservant, Camillo has an easier role
because he represents someone who will serve whoever he believes will allow him
to live which is why he becomes Polixenes s servant. As the female servant, Paulina
takes on a more challenging role and remains loyal to Hermione the entire play even
if there are consequences from Leontes. Solely based on the play, it is more difficult
to be a female servant because Paulina had to be loyal to her superior while
Camillo took the easy route and switched his allegiance. At first, Camillo is loyal
to Leontes and even agrees to poison Polixenes because Leontes believes Hermione
slept with Polixenes. Camillo says Sir, my lord, I could do this, and that with no
rash potion, but with a lingering dram that should not work maliciously like poison,
(I. 2. 318 321). Camillo is saying that he can do the act with alcohol that works
similarly to poison. By not using actual poison, it shows that Camillo already is
hesitant to go against Polixenes. Additionally, Camillo says so sovereignly being
honorable. I
The Life Of Josquin Des Prez s Early Life Remains A
Mystery
HISTORICAL BACKGROUD Though much of Josquin des Prez s early life
remains a mystery, it is believed that he was either born in Hainaut (Belgium) or in
France. For quite a while des Prez s was believed to have been born in 1440 but
recent studies have found that he was actually born some years later, closer to the
year 1450. After his father died around 1466, des Prez aunt and uncle, Gille
Lebloitte dit des Prez and Jacque Banestonne, renamed him their heir and in their
will his name is written Josquin Lebloitte. MUSICAL STYLE Josquin was
deemed as the center of the Franco Flemish school, which is a style of polyphonic
music that from the Burgundy States around the 15th century. Josquin composed a
wide variety of music. He did both sacred and secular and utilized all of the vocal
forms that existed in his time such as masses, motets, chansons and frottole.
Masses are a musical setting for the texts used in the Christian Church at the
celebration of the Mass, or sacrament of Communion. Most Masses have been
written for use in the Roman Catholic Church. A motet is a composition based on
biblical or prose text polyphonically styled. Chansons are different types of songs
that contain French lyrics. And frottole or frottola is a secular part song of Italy of
the 15th and 16th centuries that is largely homophonic and has the music repeated
with each verse His work was very highly regarded in his time so much so that it was
said to have even been

Title: Have developments in digital technology fundamentally changed the nature of
diplomacy or are they simply new means to pursuing the same ends?
Word count:
Intro:
This uncertainty reflects a growing awareness that a transformational international
system still dominated by sovereign states is having to respond to change at several
interrelated levels. Whilst complex policy agendas still demand a central, if
changing, role for the state, many of the norms, rules and roles associated with
diplomacy as it has developed over the last few centuries are no longer fit for
purpose. Clearly, fundamental questions regarding the purposes of diplomacy, who
is or should be involved in it and what forms and practices it should assume to deal
with new policy challenges need to be urgently addressed. This applies to
international organizations as well as the institutions of national diplomacy and
offers a fundamentally different perspective from that based on the familiar claim
that diplomacy is irrelevant to contemporary global needs. Rather, diplomacy has a
central role but needs to adapt to the demands of a rapidly changing environment.
Against this background, a central assumption of this report is that diplomacy as a
set of processes continues to be of central importance to the global policy milieu and
that these processes need to be constantly re evaluated.
My First Day Of College Essay
My first day of college was kind of a blur but it was most certainly a very important
one. I spent my first semester of college at Central Michigan University, I arrived on
the Friday before classes started which is commonly known as Welcome Weekend
around campus. Coming into it I really didn t know what to expect from college, I
was really nervous about meeting my roommates and having to communicate with
them. I had been friends with the same 6 people for the past 5 years and moving
on into a new environment where I knew no one was pretty daunting. I live in
Livonia Michigan it s about 20 minutes out from Detroit, CMU is in Mount
Pleasant just over 2 hours away. I was so sad to leave my friends that day I
basically slept the whole way to Mount Pleasant just so I wouldn t cry. When I
arrived my parents and I along with some help from the student volunteers
unpacked my aunts minivan and moved into my home for next 9 months. I was the
first to arrive so I obviously chose the biggest room, I stayed in Trout hall on the
north side of campus. The way they had it set was 4 roommates in one dorm, each
dorm had 2 bed roomsand 1 bathroom as well as a common room. Different dorm
halls had different rooming methods but the one Trout used was pretty common on
campus. Once I was all moved in and unpacked my parents went out to grab me
some groceries, I used this time to catch up with my friend Nick.... Show more

The rest of the year came with a ton of great moments but none have really stuck
with me the way my first day did. It s like real life came at me all at once and the
only thing I could do was sit there and take it all in, now when I look back on it I
can trace tat day to so many other significant decisions I made that year, not only that
year but all throughout college as well. It may not have gone exactly as planned but it

Biblical Worldview Essay
Short Essay #1
Absolute truth is unchanging, no matter the circumstances. Using that piece of
knowledge, it is safe to deduct that without an absolute truth, there would be no
point to possess a biblical worldview. The reason behind this is because there needs
to be a firm foundation in which the worldview is built. Therefore, to create a
biblical worldview, one must believe the absolute truth of the Bible first.

Short Essay #2
I was not certain on what to expect prior to taking the Biblical Worldview
Assessment. However, I do agree with the results I have received. I scored high on
each of the following categories: ontology, cosmology, praxeology, and epistemology.

Analysis Of Coca Cola And Grove Press By Richard Seaver
Don t plagiarize other people s work kids! someone once said as a warning to
others who seem to be having trouble to do their own work. Between these two
companies, one seems to have some trouble coping with the other one who has
been seen using their slogan. Coca Cola versus Grove Press will be a fight of a
lifetime. An executive of Coca Cola, Ira C. Herbert, wrote to a representative of
Grove Press, Richard Seaver, that they have been stealing their slogan, It s the Real
Thing. Although both sides seem to be selling their products fairly well, one cannot
simply assume that the other company is using their strength against the original
company who came up with it first. Between the two letters that have been written
back and forth... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the essay progresses, the reader can note that Seaver was being sarcastic when
he feels the other side. Who on earth would be so worried or confused over a single
quote that is in between two subjects that have nothing in common? Seaver also
denounces Herbert by quoting this book... will be read in generation hence as a
classic (36 37). During this time, the drink is considered as a classic drink due to it
being around for ages and also being almost everyone s favorite drink. But after
Prescott saying that the book will be a classic, it would make the opposing
company look not up to date. Meaning, the other side would not be considered as a
classic at the same time the book would be considered as a classic. That seems
pretty clever and hilarious for readers to read. But it may anger the other side more.
Last, but not least, Seaver also uses references to major documents like the
Constitution. He claims to be protected under the First Amendment of this document
and will defend their right to use the quote. If some people can recall, the First
Amendment discusses some freedom citizens of the United States have. For example,
they have the freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc. In
this situation, the freedom of speech is involved. Seaver mentions this because he
may not want to let another company
Oral History In Ella Cara Deloria s Waterlily
Only so that my people may live! Ella Cara Deloria dedicated much of her life to
helping outsiders understand Native American life. Deloria was born on a Yankton
Sioux Reservation on 31 January 1889. Although her father was an Episcopal
missionary, Deloria still grew up learning the traditions of the Siouxand speaking the
Dakota language. Upon graduating college, she served as a health education secretary
for Indian schools and reservations. But her true passion in life was studying and
informing others on Dakota culture and life. When given the opportunity, Deloria
dropped everything to become a research assistant. This first step enabled her to
ultimately become an ethnologist and write the historical fiction novel Waterlily.
Waterlily details the life of two fictional nineteenth century Sioux characters: Blue
Bird and Waterlily. Deloria s experiences enabled her to contribute to the study of
nineteenth century Dakota life through the historical novel Waterlily; especially, the
use of oral history in the creation of the novel, gender roles, and kinshipdynamics.
Much of the experiences portrayed within Waterlily come from interviews Deloria
conducted, thus it is important to examine the role of oral history in the creation of
Waterlily. One of the main criticisms of oral history is the tendency to assume, that
because someone says something it automatically contains a truth. Deloria
specifically addressed this issue when she interviewed her subjects. First, she
John s Relationship In The Pigman
Throughout the novel The Pigman John and his parents don t even come close to
displaying a healthy relationship. Mr. Conlan (John s Father) frequently becomes
angry with John and the choices he makes for himself during the book. During
dinner one night the position of the discussion starts to focus on John and what he
is going to do with his future. Then John says I m thinking of becoming an actor.
Mr. Conlan follows up with Don t be a Jackass. (p.74). This immediately makes
John feel angry towards his Father. This makes John look childish and inadequate to
make valuable choices in life. John s father wants him to be more masculine and
have a safe an reliable job that can support a family. Another display of an unhealthy

An Inspirational Rite Of Passage
In the prime age of sixteen, I felt an inspirational rite of passage. My endurance
through Drivers Ed guaranteed me my license which I wanted desperately.
Furthermore, my father had permitted me to drive his white 2002 Dodge Ram
truck; and after eleven years of its existence, its appearance was still flawless and
shattered anything in its way. While driving it, I felt invincible, so invincible I could
jump over any hurtle, obstacle, you name it. I intentionally found reasons to drive it
like: going to the store, the bank, visiting familymembers, and of course hanging out
with my friends. In the early spring of 2013, I was returning home from eating
lunch with my hilarious friend, Wade, at Rupes, the best burger joint in town. My
foot all the way on the gas petal, my left hand out the window, and my eyes on the
road was my last good memory before it happened.
At the speed of 45 between the intersecting of Rich Lane and University Street, my
eyes were flashed by the bursting sunlight from my rearview mirror. My depth
perception was rattled by my tainted eyes, and I could not readjust them back in
order before blinking. After a brief moment, I finally attuned my eyes and I
gathered that I drifted closer to the right side of the road. Likewise out of the corner
of my right eye, I notice a strange object fifteen feet headed to the right of the truck.
I focused more upon the black object before it disappeared out of my sight and
departed underneath the hood of the truck. It was

These type of attacks are mostly related with religious beliefs and involvement

harm to others so terrorist find one way or another to attracts new people into their
armys. Terrorists use suicide attacks to enforce a sense of helplessness in their
population to cause fear and chaos which leads them to gain power in their state or
region. The effects of suicide terrorism affects our country on a daily basis and
puts many innocent american citizens in a possible danger of one day being a
victim to these violents acts of crime. As you can tell from past events in our
nation s history such as the bombing of the twin towers and world trade center in
new york city on September 11, 2001 these groups of terrorists have caused great
damage to not only the united states but many other countries as well in their search
for power and growth. Many other major known events have happened all over the
world which has attracted the attention of major political leaders. SInce the cost of
putting together a bomb together and attaching it to a human being is so cheap this
strategy has been effective throughout the past years from various terrorist groups to
lead their warpaths. The united states as well as many allied countries from europe
have dispatched battle groups for the protection of its own land but as well to attempt
Genide And The Rwandan Genocide
When someone mentions the reign of Adolf Hitler and the path of destruction he
left, people shudder at the devastation he caused. Every year when September 11th
rolls around, thousands are left crying in remembrance of the deadly terrorist attack
that hits home for every American. These are only two of the most significant mass
killings that have left the world in shock. They re known for the brutal tactics, the
terror they inflicted, and most of all, the number of people killed. Despite the
widespread remembrance of these two major events, many people seem to brush off
the several conflicts that occur all around the world. For instance, the Rwandan
Genocideand the horrendous actions that occured have shaped how Rwandais today,
yet aren t known to the rest of the world. After years of ethnic conflicts arising
between the Hutus and the Tutsi, the tensions finally hit their highest in 1994. In a
span of 100 days, people were killed by the thousands while the world stood by and
watched. Today, Rwanda is used as a reminder to the United Nations as their failure
to put an end to the genocide.
For years on end, ethnic conflicts have been the largest issue in Rwanda. These
derived from the white settlers, who first came into the country and took control. Due
to their lighter skin, the Tutsi were favored instantly and were eventually put in
charge over the darker skinned Hutus. The settlers set up a caste system, with the
Tutsi at the top, as leaders and herdsmen, while the
The Irish And Chinese Immigrants In The 1950 s
The Irish and Chinese immigrants during the 1950 s were subjected to cruel
judgment and unjust regulations. Even though both of these races had such a
major impact on American history, they were once seen as an invasive species that
were sucking up all available jobs. This forced the American government and its
people to take a stand against the Cheese and Irish. The Chinese faced exclusion
and economic laws, while the Irish were plagued with the label of being poor,
diseased, and considerably different from the prior Irish. The first sight of Chinese
immigrants came in 1848 on the coast of California. These immigrants came left all
they knew back in the Guandong Providence in search of a more prosperous
American future. Overpopulation mixed with economic and political crisis were
the defining factors for their departure. During 1815 1855 on the entire opposite
side of America, Irish immigrants were landing in Boston and New York. Their
appearance in America can be divided through the time period in which they came.
1815 1844 Irish immigrants left their native island due to British encroachment,
cruel landlords, as well as a explosive population growth from around four million to
nine million. Yet, from 1845 1855 a majority of Irish immigrants left due to a fungal
infection that wiped out the primary crop in Ireland, the Potato. While the Irish and
Chinese had their separate reasons for leaving their original domicile, they ended in
the same country facing the same racial
The Potassium-Argon Method
Evolutionary biologists and archaeologists in recent years have forever
transformed the way we look at our past, and have shed light on many things that
were previously waiting in the dark just ready to be discovered. With
breakthroughs in technology such as the potassium argon method, and DNA
analysis, biologists and archaeologists have found new ways to look back on where
it all began. In 1967, scientists we re roaming the Omo Valley in Ethiopia and they
discovered what was the first known, and documented member of our species in that
of what was called Omo 1. (Video Sheet) Thrilled about the discovery, scientists
needed to know how old the skeleton they found was. With the use of the Potassium
argon method, they were easily able to pinpoint exactly how old the skeleton was. As
it turns out, the skeleton at hand was 195,000 years old. (Video Sheet) Scientists we
re extremely please with the find and without the use and technology of Potassium
Argon method they may have never been able to figure out the exact timeframe that
this person lived thus not being able to capture a lot... Show more content on

With the advancement of DNA analysis, scientists have been able to uncover some of
earth s greatest mysteries when it comes to the evolution of humans. One prime
example of this is in the case of discovering a completely new strand of DNA as it
pertains to the Y chromosome called A00. This new strand of DNA had around 40
50 mutations in it which was extremely higher than that of other strands. Not only
we re the mutations alarming, but when it was discovered that the strand was
338,000 years old everyone was shell shocked. This was extremely older than what
scientists thought was the first known species that we as people descended from.
(Film Sheet) With discoveries such as the strand of A00 people on earth are getting
a much closer and much more accurate idea of where we descended from as a
Three Rules Of Constraint Management And Supply

2.4 CONSTRAINT MANAGEMENT AND SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
What is Constraint Management? Constraint management is a tool that supervisors
and other management personnel use to help employees sustain task focus.
According to Goal Systems International, a Washington based business consulting
firm, constraint managementtry to help employees and supervisors remain locked in
on the most important element of business success: system constraints. These
constraints, or basic conditions to accomplishment a goal, differ by business and can
include meeting manufacturing output quotas, completing products in a well timed
manner or obtaining particular customer satisfaction scores on product surveys.
Constraint management believes that losing focus on these key essentials can facing
disaster for a workforce and the business as a whole. The constraint management
model recognizes performance standards for employees and try to improve
operational efficiency. A business is using constraint management requires structured
schedules for assembling raw materials, creating products and distributing products to
consumers. Performed properly, this model of management can significantly improve
the lag time between steps in a company s production process. There are three Rules

Non-Function Piece-Wise Function Paper
For my Non function Piece wise Function project, I decided to use a miniature
Christmas tree as my object. Right after tracing the object onto my graph paper, I
calculated the equation of each line segment. In order to find the equations of each
line segment, I first had to find the slope of the lines. To find the slope, I picked
two obvious points from a line segment and plugged it into the slope equation.
Finally, I plugged in the slope that I figured out into the point slope form equation
along with one point of my choice, and finally got the equation. There was a
particular error which I bumped into during my analysis. At first, I had a plan to use
a star as my object. But there was a problem. When I traced the
Children s Aid Society In Orphan Train
The Children s Aid Society plays an integral part in Kline s novel Orphan Train. It is
the organization that runs the titular Orphan Trains from the novel upon which
Vivian s journey to the Midwest takes place. Without the Children s Aid Society,
Vivian would have been stuck in New York all alone after her family
died. The man
behind the Children s Aid Society is one Charles Loring Brace. Before Mr. Brace, the
only safe havens for homeless children were orphan asylums and almshouses. Mr.
Brace and a group of social reformers founded the Children s Aid Society in 1853
with the belief that institutional care destroyed children. The Children s Aid Society

Digital Ethics
Digital ethics is important because it teaches the right as well as the wrong things to
do on a computer. It teaches people how to behave using social media, in other
words, it shows people how to be mature on the internet. With technology increasing
the more users take advantage of its efficiency. As well as manipulating technology to
their advantage (Radhika. 2012).
Online users have to respect the legal agenda and act within the internets bounds
using ethical, courteous, safe productivity. The problem now with students writing
papers is to determine if the information is credibility. The Internet offers an excess
amount of information, and this kind of knowledge is coming from countless
sources; reliable and unreliable (Radhika. 2012). ... Show more content on

Internet ethical issues affect a variety of people and almost all of them today are
affected in some kind of a way. Digital ethics also teaches online users about cyber
bullying which happens a lot now. Children and adults have been victims of cyber
bullying over the past years that had been lead to horrible things (Thomas. 2011).
The digital ethics does also indicate how one persona is seen by the people looking
you up online. It is so simple to search yourself up online and have all this
information about you right in front of you. This means anyone with internet access
can see your social media pages, and if that person has a background in hacking they
can figure out all personal information such as social security numbers, credit cards,
and addresses (Radhika. 2012).
Hackers get into your hard drives and sell all your personal information to the
highest bidders. Ethical hacking on the other hand is doing what regular hackers
do, but the differences is that they can do it legally with the back up of the FBI of
CIA. A reason someone would do this kind of hacking is to do either a personal
background check or if you are in the FBI most wanted listen (Radhika.
Australian Drinking Culture Essay
Introduction
Australia has a well established and deeply ingrained drinking culture and while
most people are satisfied with a few beers on the odd weekend or a glass of wine
with dinner, others have become addicted and have developed alcohol dependence.
With alcohol dependency now the most common substance use disorder in
Australia the effects of this disorder are far reaching and catastrophic not only for
the individual suffering the addiction and their family and friends, but for our
government as well who is shelling out billions of dollars annually to address the
fallout of this disorder. However, the devastation caused by such addictions may be a

Davies found that when given to mice, Ivermectin blocked the effects of alcohol
on receptors in the brain, thereby blocking cravings, the tendency to seek out
alcohol and the rewarding effects of the alcohol. Alcohol dependent mice that were
given Ivermectin where found to drink almost 50 percent less alcohol than those
who were not given the drug. This significant and promising finding could see the
medical profession moving away from current abstinence based treatment
programs, which have success rates of less than 10 percent, towards such a
program that allows alcoholics to enjoy a drink or two but be able to stop at that.
However, while successful in curbing alcohol consumption in mice trials, the drug
has yet to be trialed on humans. This poses two issues; firstly while the drug is FDA
approved it is currently used at most two or three times per year in humans, for the
treatment of parasitic infections. However, alcoholism is a chronic disease, therefore
in order for the drug to be effective, it would need to be taken daily. Secondly, while
the drug has been successful in altering the drinking patterns of mice, it might not
prove to have the same success in
The Lightning Thief Book And Movie Analysis
Movies are Thieves A common goal of Hollywood productions is to attract a vast
audience. In order to earn mass profits from their movies, directors will change any
storyline to create an easy to follow, action filled success. The Lightning Thief
novel, written by Rick Riordan, and The Lightning Thief motion picture provide
excellent examples of how books are morphed into classic, money making
attractions. Even though The Lightning Thief book and movie both share main
characters and settings, the book expresses more detail and educates the audience
while the movie focuses more on action and convenience, allowing for more errors
between plots. Action is one of many differences found between the book and the
motion picture. The entire plot of the movie revolves around finding and fighting
for the pearls of Persephone, but in the book, Percy, the main character, receives
the pearls as a gift on behalf of his father for use in a time of trouble. The settings
and opponents faced by Percy and his companions, Annabeth and Grover, are the
same: Medusa at the Emporium, Hydra at the Parthenon replica, and the Lotus
eaters at the casino. However, the reward for winning in the book is survival, not a
pearl as portrayed in the movie. Another example is the scene involving Hades
Minotaur. Percy is not an experienced fighter at the beginning of the book; therefore,
Percy faints after taking one of the Minotaur s horns. The movie illustrates Percy as a
potentially skilled hero in
The Type Of Blood Cancer
Multiple myeloma (MM) is the second most common type of blood cancer.1 It is
found in plasma cells inside the intermedullary canal of the diaphysis of a long bone.2
Plasma cells are a type of white blood cell. They function to help the body fight
infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs. MM starts when a
plasma cell becomes abnormal in the bone marrow and begins to multiple quickly.
These abnormal, now cancerous cells accumulate and eventually outnumber the
production of healthy cells. Like normal plasma cells, myeloma cells also produce
antibodies. However, the body cannot use them. These antibodies are known as
monoclonal proteins, or M proteins.3 M proteins can build up in the body and cause
problems, such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
MGUS is marked by the presence of M proteins, but there is a significantly lower
level of them and no damage to the body occurs. 3% of people older than 50 have
MGUS.3 1% of people with MGUS will develop MM per year.3 Signs and
symptoms of MM can vary and early in the disease there may be none. When signs
and symptoms do occur, they can include: bone pain, especially in your spine and
chest, thinning or broken bones, nausea, constipation, loss of appetite, mental
fogginess or confusion, fatigue, frequent infections, weight loss, weakness or
numbness in your legs and excessive thirst.3 MM may be detected through
multiple types of tests. Lab analysis of blood may reveal the M proteins produced
by myeloma cells. Another abnormal protein produced from myeloma cells called
beta 2 microglobulin may be detected in the blood.3 A urine protein level test may
show M proteins, which are known as Bence Jones proteins, and confirm the
presence of MM.2 A bone marrow biopsy may be done to determine the number of
normal and cancerous plasma cells present. An initial skeletal survey is done for
diagnosis and staging through diagnostic radiography. Images will include a lateral
skull x ray, AP and lateral views of the spine and AP views of the humeri, ribs, pelvis,
and femora.4 MM appears as multiple punched out osteolytic lesions scattered
throughout the skeletal system.2 If seen in
The Two Act Comic Opera Barbier Von Bagdad

History of European Opera

Barbier Von Bagdad The two act comic opera Barbier Von Bagdad is a two act
opera composed by Peter Cornelius to a German Libretto by the composer in
1858. The libretto is based on two stories, The Tale of the Tailor and The Barber s
Stories of his Six Brothers from The Arabian Nights, as commonly known as One
Thousand and One Nights. This collection of Middle Eastern, Indian, and North
and Western African stories of unknown date and authorship was written in 9th
century, when the Arabs were rapidly expanding their territories and the influence
of Islam. The stories in the collection praised the virtues from the Arabians standard
and spread their value around the world. As one of the most well known Middle
Eastern literature, One Thousand and One Nights has not only set the story of
Barbier Von Bagdad in an exoticized world, but also fit into the German people s
typical view of Arab, ensuring that the audience could easily accept the characters.
The composer Peter Cornelius was born in mainz into a family with theatrical
background. His career started off as an actor, but later Cornelius studied violin and
learnt composition with Heinrich Esser in Berlin. In Cornelius early life, he was
initially interested in literature, instead of music. This explained why he later
became a prolific critic. In 1849, Cornelius accomplished his first libretto for a one
act short comic opera. Even though
Symbolic Source In A Worn Path by Eudora Welty
Symbolism is a characteristic that stands out in a person or thing. People usually
use symbolism for something that means to them or represents to them. The
symbols are used for many things, for example the apple on the iphone, laptop or
iPod symbolizes the brand. Symbols are also used in churches, for example the
cross symbolizes Jesus Christ. It symbolizes how he was crucified, put to death on
a cross. The colors symbolize something s to for example the colors white, red and

as she goes through the path she says something always take a hold of me on this

go up that hill and down that hill. The word fatality also represent the dove because
the gunshot she heard may of probably remind her of the shots she heard in the war
since we know she s lived for a long time because of how old she is described in the
story. She was probably alive during the world war. Phoenix probably got scared
because in Eudora Welty s A Worn Path her lids stretched down over her eyes, as if
she were doing this in her sleep (welty1278). Phoenix maybe has had bad dreams
while she sleeps about gunshots. The marble cake is a symbol of the whites and

Theme Of Biblical Allusion In Wuthering Heights
As Lockwood lays to rest in the third chapter of Emily BrontГ« s Wuthering Heights,
he is wrought with a dream of a fictional Reverend Jabez Branderham and his surplus
of sins. The dream almost reads as incomprehensible at first glance, especially when
wedged between Lockwood s visions of Catherine Earnshaw, but the dream holds
clout in the overarching tale of Wuthering Heights, especially when taking its moral
implications into consideration. To implement a biblical allusionin one s text requires
the understanding that, no matter what one intends to do with the material, it will
remain morally charged nonetheless. The material can be contorted or figured into a
new message altogether, but some moral proposition will certainly remain. In the
case of Lockwood s dream, BrontГ« s allusion to Peter and his interest in
forgiveness are contorted to address what happens when the threshold of forgiveness
is surpassed. Furthermore, the dream does not grapple with the power of
forgiveness, but with the level of desperate exasperation one reaches after prolonged
anguish. It is through the contortion of such a biblical allusion that Lockwood is met
with what is essentially a warning against staying at either Thrushcross Grange or
Wuthering Heights a warning which he ultimately disregards, thus leading to his
exposure to the litany of terrors which exist in the story of Wuthering Heights.
Though Lockwood s dream doesn t exactly parallel the biblical tale which it alludes
to, the
The Battle of Gettysburg
The Battle of Gettysburg was one of the most famous battles of the Civil War. The
battle was fought from July 1 to July 3 near Gettysburg. The famous battle was
between Robert Lee and his Northern Virginia Army and George Meade and the
North s Army of the Potomac, The Union. The original leader of the Army of the
Potomac was General Joseph Hooker, but President Lincoln relieved Hooker of his
duties and named Meade the new General of the Army. Many soldiers died from
both sides during this battle and that is the reason it is known as one of the
bloodiest battles. The Battle of Gettysburg was General Robert Lee s second
attempt at invading the North and there was a definite aftermath to this battle. The
Battle of Gettysburg was clearly one of the biggest battles in the Civil War.
General Robert Lee led his Northern Virginia Army to victory at Chancellorsville
and was feeling a great deal of confidence ( Battle of Gettysburg ). He then decided
with this confidence he would try a second attempt at invading the North. The
reason Lee took his troops north was because he wanted to take the pressure off of
the Virginia farms. Lee also thought that if he won any battles on northern territory,
that it could possibly put pressure on President Lincoln to settle the war ( History
Place Battle of Gettysburg ). Lee s Army was not very prepared for the battle with
two of its three Corps having new commanders appointed. Lee did not do much to
prepare these new commanders as they were
Stanislavsky s Invention Of Stanislavsky And The
Imagination
Stanislavsky and the Imagination
Konstantin Stanislavsky, born in 1863 Russia was an actor and well known theatre
practitioner whose main principle of theatre was the development of naturalism,
called the Stanislavsky method .
Being born into a wealthy family Stanislavsky had the privilege of partaking in
acting from a young age, performing in his parent s acting company, the Alekseyev
Circle. During the late 19th century, Stanislavsky travelled around the globe to learn
about different rehearsal processes at the Comedie Francaise. [1]
His influences and experiences as a youngster led him to create his own theatre
company: the Moscow Art Theatre (est. 1898). Here he designed his unique system
and introduced and combined realism within European trends at that time.
During the decades, method acting became a popularised technique in large
communities as the Moscow Theatre underwent a world tour in areas of Europe and
United States. Once the tour had ended, many of the members decided to leave and
go on to create the Group Theatre, which included actors like Lee Strasberg and
Stella Adler. After this many went on to form the Actors Studio. [2]
The System
The Stanislavsky system is used to portray the naturalistic and realistic elements of
life and people within theatre. The system allowed actors to draw in their own
experiences to create natural and believable characters. There are few aspects towards
the Stanislavsky system, also known as the Method System .

The Music Of Stravinsky s First Ballet
The music of Stravinsky has always been ahead of time in the way of using new
and different ways of presenting music. His early ballets such as Firebird,
Petrushka, and The Rite of Spring being a great example of his modernism and will
to compose music which is both innovative and shocking. For this essay I have
chosen to write about The Firebird(1910) and The Rite of Spring(1913). Firebird was
Stravinsky s first Ballet and his first composition that reached many people because
of its modernism and exoticism. The Rite of Spring is still renowned for its portrayal
of primitivism, a concept that was accentuated by the riot that happened at its
premiere.
The reason why I have chosen to write about The Firebird is because it was
Stravinsky s first ballet and a milestone in modernist culture. Because of its modernist
attributes, The Firebird became very famous within ballet circles.
The reason why I have chosen to write about The Rite of Spring is because of the
controversy that surrounded it after its premiere. The ballet was so shocking to many
of the audience members because some of the concepts explored in it were so
different and new to them.
The Firebird is based on the Russian legend of the firebird and is said to be a
beautiful large red, orange and yellow bird. In the ballet, it is played by a ballet
dancer whose costume is that of a half bird and half man. In the 1900s, ballet
costumes tended o be very elegant, and often in pale colours. However, when

The Utilisation Of Symmetry Within Filmmaking
This following proposal will feature how the utilisation of symmetry within
filmmaking, primarily in cinematography, is a stylised technique used to highlight
significant events film narratives. This proposal will decipher whether symmetry
used as a stylistic filmic technique, is a notable and powerful visual aid that heightens
the viewers experience and significance of narrativedevelopments. The purpose of
this study is to gauge information about how symmetry showcases a posed and
staged approach in filmmaking, and if that will drive the movement of filmnarratives.
Thorough analysis of examples of works by American director Wes Anderson will be

This is due to the possibility of symmetry being used randomly and thoughtlessly,
running a high risk of creating visual disturbances in the narrative of the film, thus,
potentially leading the initial direction of the narrative astray and the viewers to be
confused as the film advances (Thonsagaard, L, 2012).
Wes Anderson (born 1969), best know as an Academy Award winning American film
director and screenwriter is respected and has mastered the art of symmetry. His
films are extremely identifiable, as his constant usage of symmetry within his feature
films create a powerful visual aid which are capable of communicating complex
meanings that cannot be conveyed visually without the addition of symmetry.
Anderson s work is also notable for his distinctive narrative writing and style and
also the inclusion of adding reoccurring collaborations with various actors and
creatives (McClintock, P, 2014).
The definition of symmetry follows and refers to ...quality being made up of exactly
similar parts facing each other or around an axis (Oxford Dictionary of English). This
proposal will primarily focus on Anderson s filmmaking, discussing his utilisation of
symmetry within his works and how he produces a visual aesthetic and experimental
style of filmmaking that has gained him the title of being a respected director in the
film industry. Anderson s reason behind using symmetry instead

Greek Mythology Vs Modern Science
Greek Mythology vs. Modern Science
Throughout all history, humans have been trying to make sense of the natural world
around them. In ancient cultures around the world, we see this proved with myths
and stories. Now that modern technology and science exists, we are able to see how
natural phenomena actually happen. When witnessing natural disasters or other
strange things occur, people naturally look for explanations, before modern science,
that sometimes meant they had to create an explanation themselves. Myths have been
used to explain everything from the simple, like wind and rain, to the complex, like
solar eclipses or the Northern Lights. One culture famously known for its mythology
is ancient Greece. Though Greek mythology may now seem outlandish and hard to
believe, it was what gave cause to many natural phenomena before modern science,
including the subjects of day and night, whirlpools, and even volcanoes.
Every day, the people of Greece would witness the steady rise and fall of the sun in
the sky and created a god that was similar in boldness and was just as bright. Helios
(later Apollo) was a titan and thus came before many of the other gods known
today. He would drive the chariot of the sun, pulled by his four horses, across the
sky, bringing light to the world. Once he would reach the Hesperides (essentially the
horizon), he would travel along the river circling the flat Earth to reach his home in
the east to rise again the next day. Society now recognizes that

in Tehran reveals more dominating than hegemonic qualities. Veiling is an extremely
debated and controversial topic all over the world. From what has been revealed, it
can be presumed that a substantial difference of veiling across the board, is
enforcement. From Veiled Sentiments to Young and Defiant in Tehran, the
differences in ideas regarding veiling are noticeably contrasting. The three
anthropology texts involved, include further inside information and feelings
regarding veiling. In Veiled Sentiments by Lila Abu Lughod, veiling is a choice and
is not forced on women. Due to the faith and freedom of choice, most women
willingly and happily veilproperly. Although sexuality is not a popular norm among
the Bedouin, it is not the sole reason for veiling. Granted, women will be criticized
and mocked for not veiling or taking part in sexual affiliations. Such mockery is
described in a story where grandmothers react to the granddaughters Western style
negligees. Once the grandmothers had found out about them, they put them on,
initially embarrassing the girls,
My Client, International Investment Company
(NEED A TITLE FOR THIS PAPER) My client, International Investment Company,
Incorporated (IICI), is a large investment company with many diverse investments. As
a security consultant to IICI, I am required by my contract to identify potential
cybersecurity adversaries, why they might target my client, the existing security
environment, Because of their investments, my client is potentially exposed to anger
from multiple groups opposed to companies in which my client has invested. For
example, IICI holds investments in several large oil companies. Angry
environmentalists opposed to environmental damage, such as oil spills and global
warming, could target one of the oil companies in which IICI has holdings. Targeting
investment companies with holdings in large oil companies could result in greater
economic harm to the oil company than a direct attack on the oil company itself. For
example, a large sum of money could be spent by an environmental group on a
negative public relations campaign against an oil company itself, with perhaps little
change in public opinion and little real financial harm to the oil company. However, a
well planned and coordinated computer attack on an investment company with oil
holdings could harm the oil company itself. If an environmental group can prevent
customers of an investment company from responding to changes in the financial
market buy, sell, or make changes in their accounts then the attacker can affect the
market performance of
Global Sustainability and the Water Supply
The increase of global urban population has become a critical issue that the world
is facing; as the world population continuously increases, the need for natural
resources (Land, water, energy and food) also increases. However, natural
resources are known to be finite. Which is why sustainability has become a major
concept during recent times. Based on the US Environmental Protection Agency
(ND), Sustainability is based on a simple principle: Everything that we need for
our survival and well being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural
environment. Sustainability creates and maintains the conditions under which
humans and nature can exist in productive harmony, that permit fulfilling the
social, economic and other requirements of present and future generations.
Bloomberg, an international news agency in the US, reported that it was recently
found by an Ernst Young study that 76% of corporate representatives think water,
which is what this essay will discuss, is the top resource at risk. (Bloomberg: 2013)
Water makes up around 70% of the world s surface. Less than 1% is freshwater,
and only 0.4% of it is accessible for human use. (Global change: 2006) These
statistics prove to show how water is limited within the cycle it goes through. The
global demand for water has vastly increased in the past few decades, making
demand exceed what is available for direct use. Nearly 768 Million of the human
population, roughly 1 in 10 people, does not have access
The Closing Musical Number Remains A Clear Example Of
The...
The closing musical number remains a clear example of the films ability to handle
the social issues, contradicting the light hearted narrative prior to it. This number
makes up for its lack of integration by evoking strong sympathy for displaced WWI
veterans who now face a more intangible enemy in the form of the Depression. It
hearkens back to a time when the now forgotten men were regarded as heroes and
when they understood how to live their lives and, consequently, how to love their
women. The image Joan Blondell reflects in this number is that of a strong,
compassionate woman who is standing up for the downtrodden man as an equal
since, Forgetting him, you see, means you re forgetting me... This portrayal markedly
differs from the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The popular idea of the woman of questionable character who turns out to have a
heart of gold is used to some extent here, particularly if viewed from J. Lawrence s
position. His eventual acceptance and proposed marriage to Carol, who he first
considered to be a lowly showgirl, successfully levels the social standing between
the aristocrat and the working girl. Although J. Lawrence and Peabody assumedly
begin as the villains of the picture, easily acceptable for Depression era audiences,
their transformations seem to prove that even the rich have hearts, and this could be
an attempt to reconcile some of the animosity between the different classes.
Additionally, the initial notion of the girls as gold diggers winds up being a
misconception; only because J. Lawrence and Peabody consider them to be this way
do the girls play into their expectations. In the end all of this exploitation and
deception results in the three couples all married or engaged to be married, a
satisfying but most conventional resolution; both the gold diggers and Boston
aristocrats turn out to be little different than everyone else. Again, by suggesting the
similarities and common goals of different groups of people, this theme relates to the
socialistic shift in the nation s politics during this period that helped bring the nation
out of economic ruin. The notion of an

  • 1. Malnutrition Essay Writing an essay on the topic of malnutrition can be a challenging task due to the complexity and sensitivity of the subject matter. Malnutrition encompasses a wide range of issues, including insufficient or excessive intake of nutrients, leading to adverse effects on health. Addressing this topic requires a thorough understanding of various aspects, such as the causes, consequences, and potential solutions to malnutrition. One of the difficulties in writing such an essay lies in the need for extensive research to gather reliable and up-to-date information. Malnutrition is a multifaceted issue influenced by factors such as socio-economic conditions, cultural practices, and access to healthcare. Therefore, a comprehensive exploration of these factors is essential to present a well-rounded and informed perspective. Furthermore, conveying the severity and global impact of malnutrition while maintaining a balanced tone can be challenging. It is crucial to approach the topic with sensitivity, acknowledging the human impact without sensationalizing or oversimplifying the complexities involved. Striking the right balance between raising awareness and providing accurate information is vital to create a compelling and meaningful essay. Crafting a coherent and structured essay on malnutrition also requires a strong thesis statement and a well-organized outline. Navigating through the causes, effects, and potential solutions while maintaining a logical flow is essential for reader comprehension. Additionally, incorporating real-life examples, case studies, and statistical data can enhance the essay's credibility and impact. In conclusion, writing an essay on malnutrition demands careful consideration of various factors and a commitment to thorough research. Supernova s are difficult to see in our galaxy because dust is blocking our view. When there s a change in the core in a star a supernova occurs. When giant stars die in supernova and their core collapse that is when a neutron star is created. This neutron star is several times bigger than the sun.Because the neutrons are tightly put together into a super dense object the supernova is very heavy it weighs about 100 million tons. Neutron stars typically have a surface temperature around 600,000 K.The magnetic fields are between 10 to the 8th power and 10 to the 15 power as strong as that of the sun.A neutron star is part of the binary system the survived the deadly blast from it s supernova.

Diversification helps reduce risks and therefore minimizes the chances of failure WEAKNESSES High Pricing In these times, with a lot of options in electronics Sony s pricing strategy does not seem apt as their products are relatively expensive to its competitors; whether this be the Sony VAIO or the Sony PS3. Some people argue that this price can be justified because of the brand name of Sony and it will most definitely look bad on the company image if Sony suddenly drops all its prices just to be competitive in the market. In fact, Sony was forced to lower its PS3 s price by $100 just to
  • 4. Leadership In John Winthrop s City Upon A Hill Theme The theme of the text City Upon a Hill by John Winthrop is that good people have the role of being leaders, who make people strive to be better. John Winthrop was a preacher upon the Arabella which was a ship carrying hundreds of Puritans to Massachusetts from England to escape the religious persecution they were facing. This shows us that he was a brave soul who wanted to help others to get their religious freedoms. Throughout the story he states that he wanted to create a model society, he says that for we must consider that wee shall be as a citty upon a hill . It also stated that, I shall shutt upp this discourse with the exhortation of Moses, the faithful servant of the lord, in his last farewell to Israel . He quotes Moses speaking
  • 5. Rhetorical Analysis Of Trump Embarrasses Himself And Our... In the New York Times Opinion Editorial Piece, Trump Embarrasses Himself and Our Country, Nicholas Kristof argues how Donald Trump s picks for his administration are embarrassing, and do not represent the United States. Stage one of the informed citizen determines the need for critical self protection when looking at rhetoric. One should ask two important questions about rhetoric before analysis, Is a major claim on beliefs/attitudes/values or actions being made? and, Is the person relying merely relaying information or is he/she strategically presenting the material? (p. 273 analyzing rhetoric). Applying this to the article by Kristof, I believe he is making a major claim on values and actions, and that he strategically wrote the article to persuade/inform the American people that read the New York Times. It is important to critically analyze claims for potential deception and misleading statements because of many reasons. First, rhetoric can either inspire a nation, or it can destroy a nation. If rhetoric is manipulative and deceptive, citizens can fall into the trap, and begin to believe hateful and untrue things that affect people s views. It is important that citizens can recognize when leaders are deceiving us, so they can call it out and try to not let others fall into as well. If one does not check for deception when looking at a piece of rhetoric, they could vote for things that clearly are not within their self interest. A rhetor can strategically relay the

  • 10. King Leontes And Queen Hermione Analysis In Shakespeare s The Winter s Tale, King Leontes and Queen Hermione are aided by their servants during the play. Leontes s servant Camillo appears to be loyal at the beginning of the play but quickly switches his loyalty to King Polixenes when the King discovers his drink was poisoned. Hermione s servent Paulina is loyal the entire play because she is constantly arguing for Hermione s innocence and fighting against Leontes s assumptions. As the maleservant, Camillo has an easier role because he represents someone who will serve whoever he believes will allow him to live which is why he becomes Polixenes s servant. As the female servant, Paulina takes on a more challenging role and remains loyal to Hermione the entire play even if there are consequences from Leontes. Solely based on the play, it is more difficult to be a female servant because Paulina had to be loyal to her superior while Camillo took the easy route and switched his allegiance. At first, Camillo is loyal to Leontes and even agrees to poison Polixenes because Leontes believes Hermione slept with Polixenes. Camillo says Sir, my lord, I could do this, and that with no rash potion, but with a lingering dram that should not work maliciously like poison, (I. 2. 318 321). Camillo is saying that he can do the act with alcohol that works similarly to poison. By not using actual poison, it shows that Camillo already is hesitant to go against Polixenes. Additionally, Camillo says so sovereignly being honorable. I

After his father died around 1466, des Prez aunt and uncle, Gille Lebloitte dit des Prez and Jacque Banestonne, renamed him their heir and in their will his name is written Josquin Lebloitte. MUSICAL STYLE Josquin was deemed as the center of the Franco Flemish school, which is a style of polyphonic music that from the Burgundy States around the 15th century. Josquin composed a wide variety of music. He did both sacred and secular and utilized all of the vocal forms that existed in his time such as masses, motets, chansons and frottole. Masses are a musical setting for the texts used in the Christian Church at the celebration of the Mass, or sacrament of Communion. Most Masses have been written for use in the Roman Catholic Church. A motet is a composition based on biblical or prose text polyphonically styled. Chansons are different types of songs that contain French lyrics. And frottole or frottola is a secular part song of Italy of the 15th and 16th centuries that is largely homophonic and has the music repeated with each verse His work was very highly regarded in his time so much so that it was said to have even been
  • 12. Digital Technology Fundamentally Changed The Nature Of... Name: Jennifer Diane Ulloa SOAS ID: 643951 Course: Global Diplomatic Studies and Practice Tutor: Goitom Gebreluel Title: Have developments in digital technology fundamentally changed the nature of diplomacy or are they simply new means to pursuing the same ends? Word count: Intro: This uncertainty reflects a growing awareness that a transformational international system still dominated by sovereign states is having to respond to change at several interrelated levels. Whilst complex policy agendas still demand a central, if changing, role for the state, many of the norms, rules and roles associated with diplomacy as it has developed over the last few centuries are no longer fit for purpose. Clearly, fundamental questions regarding the purposes of diplomacy, who is or should be involved in it and what forms and practices it should assume to deal with new policy challenges need to be urgently addressed. This applies to international organizations as well as the institutions of national diplomacy and offers a fundamentally different perspective from that based on the familiar claim that diplomacy is irrelevant to contemporary global needs. Rather, diplomacy has a central role but needs to adapt to the demands of a rapidly changing environment. Against this background, a central assumption of this report is that diplomacy as a set of processes continues to be of central importance to the global policy milieu and that these processes need to be constantly re evaluated.
  • 13. My First Day Of College Essay My first day of college was kind of a blur but it was most certainly a very important one. I spent my first semester of college at Central Michigan University, I arrived on the Friday before classes started which is commonly known as Welcome Weekend around campus. Coming into it I really didn t know what to expect from college, I was really nervous about meeting my roommates and having to communicate with them. I had been friends with the same 6 people for the past 5 years and moving on into a new environment where I knew no one was pretty daunting. I live in Livonia Michigan it s about 20 minutes out from Detroit, CMU is in Mount Pleasant just over 2 hours away. I was so sad to leave my friends that day I basically slept the whole way to Mount Pleasant just so I wouldn t cry. When I arrived my parents and I along with some help from the student volunteers unpacked my aunts minivan and moved into my home for next 9 months. I was the first to arrive so I obviously chose the biggest room, I stayed in Trout hall on the north side of campus. The way they had it set was 4 roommates in one dorm, each dorm had 2 bed roomsand 1 bathroom as well as a common room. Different dorm halls had different rooming methods but the one Trout used was pretty common on campus. • 14. Biblical Worldview Essay Short Essay #1 Absolute truth is unchanging, no matter the circumstances. Using that piece of knowledge, it is safe to deduct that without an absolute truth, there would be no point to possess a biblical worldview. The reason behind this is because there needs to be a firm foundation in which the worldview is built. Therefore, to create a biblical worldview, one must believe the absolute truth of the Bible first. Between these two companies, one seems to have some trouble coping with the other one who has been seen using their slogan. Coca Cola versus Grove Press will be a fight of a lifetime. An executive of Coca Cola, Ira C. Herbert, wrote to a representative of Grove Press, Richard Seaver, that they have been stealing their slogan, It s the Real Thing. During this time, the drink is considered as a classic drink due to it being around for ages and also being almost everyone s favorite drink. But after Prescott saying that the book will be a classic, it would make the opposing company look not up to date. Meaning, the other side would not be considered as a classic at the same time the book would be considered as a classic. That seems pretty clever and hilarious for readers to read. But it may anger the other side more. Last, but not least, Seaver also uses references to major documents like the Constitution. He claims to be protected under the First Amendment of this document and will defend their right to use the quote. If some people can recall, the First Amendment discusses some freedom citizens of the United States have. For example, they have the freedom of the press, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, etc. In this situation, the freedom of speech is involved. Seaver mentions this because he may not want to let another company
  • 16. Oral History In Ella Cara Deloria s Waterlily Only so that my people may live! Ella Cara Deloria dedicated much of her life to helping outsiders understand Native American life. Deloria was born on a Yankton Sioux Reservation on 31 January 1889. Although her father was an Episcopal missionary, Deloria still grew up learning the traditions of the Siouxand speaking the Dakota language. Upon graduating college, she served as a health education secretary for Indian schools and reservations. But her true passion in life was studying and informing others on Dakota culture and life. When given the opportunity, Deloria dropped everything to become a research assistant. This first step enabled her to ultimately become an ethnologist and write the historical fiction novel Waterlily. Waterlily details the life of two fictional nineteenth century Sioux characters: Blue Bird and Waterlily. Deloria s experiences enabled her to contribute to the study of nineteenth century Dakota life through the historical novel Waterlily; especially, the use of oral history in the creation of the novel, gender roles, and kinshipdynamics. Much of the experiences portrayed within Waterlily come from interviews Deloria conducted, thus it is important to examine the role of oral history in the creation of Waterlily. One of the main criticisms of oral history is the tendency to assume, that because someone says something it automatically contains a truth. Deloria specifically addressed this issue when she interviewed her subjects. First, she

Furthermore, my father had permitted me to drive his white 2002 Dodge Ram truck; and after eleven years of its existence, its appearance was still flawless and shattered anything in its way. While driving it, I felt invincible, so invincible I could jump over any hurtle, obstacle, you name it. I intentionally found reasons to drive it like: going to the store, the bank, visiting familymembers, and of course hanging out with my friends. In the early spring of 2013, I was returning home from eating lunch with my hilarious friend, Wade, at Rupes, the best burger joint in town. My foot all the way on the gas petal, my left hand out the window, and my eyes on the road was my last good memory before it happened. At the speed of 45 between the intersecting of Rich Lane and University Street, my eyes were flashed by the bursting sunlight from my rearview mirror. My depth perception was rattled by my tainted eyes, and I could not readjust them back in order before blinking. After a brief moment, I finally attuned my eyes and I gathered that I drifted closer to the right side of the road. Likewise out of the corner of my right eye, I notice a strange object fifteen feet headed to the right of the truck. I focused more upon the black object before it disappeared out of my sight and departed underneath the hood of the truck. It was

Even though both of these races had such a major impact on American history, they were once seen as an invasive species that were sucking up all available jobs. This forced the American government and its people to take a stand against the Cheese and Irish. The Chinese faced exclusion and economic laws, while the Irish were plagued with the label of being poor, diseased, and considerably different from the prior Irish. The first sight of Chinese immigrants came in 1848 on the coast of California. These immigrants came left all they knew back in the Guandong Providence in search of a more prosperous American future. Overpopulation mixed with economic and political crisis were the defining factors for their departure. Yet, from 1845 1855 a majority of Irish immigrants left due to a fungal infection that wiped out the primary crop in Ireland, the Potato. • 34. The Lightning Thief Book And Movie Analysis Movies are Thieves A common goal of Hollywood productions is to attract a vast audience. In order to earn mass profits from their movies, directors will change any storyline to create an easy to follow, action filled success. The Lightning Thief novel, written by Rick Riordan, and The Lightning Thief motion picture provide excellent examples of how books are morphed into classic, money making attractions. Even though The Lightning Thief book and movie both share main characters and settings, the book expresses more detail and educates the audience while the movie focuses more on action and convenience, allowing for more errors between plots. Action is one of many differences found between the book and the motion picture. The entire plot of the movie revolves around finding and fighting for the pearls of Persephone, but in the book, Percy, the main character, receives the pearls as a gift on behalf of his father for use in a time of trouble. The settings and opponents faced by Percy and his companions, Annabeth and Grover, are the same: Medusa at the Emporium, Hydra at the Parthenon replica, and the Lotus eaters at the casino. However, the reward for winning in the book is survival, not a pearl as portrayed in the movie. Another example is the scene involving Hades Minotaur. The Type Of Blood Cancer Multiple myeloma (MM) is the second most common type of blood cancer.1 It is found in plasma cells inside the intermedullary canal of the diaphysis of a long bone.2 Plasma cells are a type of white blood cell. They function to help the body fight infections by making antibodies that recognize and attack germs. MM starts when a plasma cell becomes abnormal in the bone marrow and begins to multiple quickly. These abnormal, now cancerous cells accumulate and eventually outnumber the production of healthy cells. Like normal plasma cells, myeloma cells also produce antibodies. However, the body cannot use them. These antibodies are known as monoclonal proteins, or M proteins.3 M proteins can build up in the body and cause problems, such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... MGUS is marked by the presence of M proteins, but there is a significantly lower level of them and no damage to the body occurs. 3% of people older than 50 have MGUS.3 1% of people with MGUS will develop MM per year.3 Signs and symptoms of MM can vary and early in the disease there may be none. When signs and symptoms do occur, they can include: bone pain, especially in your spine and chest, thinning or broken bones, nausea, constipation, loss of appetite, mental fogginess or confusion, fatigue, frequent infections, weight loss, weakness or numbness in your legs and excessive thirst.3 MM may be detected through multiple types of tests. Lab analysis of blood may reveal the M proteins produced by myeloma cells. Another abnormal protein produced from myeloma cells called beta 2 microglobulin may be detected in the blood.3 A urine protein level test may show M proteins, which are known as Bence Jones proteins, and confirm the presence of MM.2 A bone marrow biopsy may be done to determine the number of normal and cancerous plasma cells present. An initial skeletal survey is done for diagnosis and staging through diagnostic radiography. Images will include a lateral skull x ray, AP and lateral views of the spine and AP views of the humeri, ribs, pelvis, and femora.4 MM appears as multiple punched out osteolytic lesions scattered throughout the skeletal system.2 If seen in
  • 36. The Two Act Comic Opera Barbier Von Bagdad Haixu Liu Professor Rena C. Mueller History of European Opera Tuesday, December 9, 14 Barbier Von Bagdad The two act comic opera Barbier Von Bagdad is a two act opera composed by Peter Cornelius to a German Libretto by the composer in 1858. The libretto is based on two stories, The Tale of the Tailor and The Barber s Stories of his Six Brothers from The Arabian Nights, as commonly known as One Thousand and One Nights. This collection of Middle Eastern, Indian, and North and Western African stories of unknown date and authorship was written in 9th century, when the Arabs were rapidly expanding their territories and the influence of Islam. The stories in the collection praised the virtues from the Arabians standard and spread their value around the world. As one of the most well known Middle Eastern literature, One Thousand and One Nights has not only set the story of Barbier Von Bagdad in an exoticized world, but also fit into the German people s typical view of Arab, ensuring that the audience could easily accept the characters. The composer Peter Cornelius was born in mainz into a family with theatrical background. His career started off as an actor, but later Cornelius studied violin and learnt composition with Heinrich Esser in Berlin. In Cornelius early life, he was initially interested in literature, instead of music. This explained why he later became a prolific critic. In 1849, Cornelius accomplished his first libretto for a one act short comic opera. Even though

The word fatality also represent the dove because the gunshot she heard may of probably remind her of the shots she heard in the war since we know she s lived for a long time because of how old she is described in the story. She was probably alive during the world war. Phoenix probably got scared because in Eudora Welty s A Worn Path her lids stretched down over her eyes, as if she were doing this in her sleep (welty1278). Phoenix maybe has had bad dreams while she sleeps about gunshots. The marble cake is a symbol of the whites and blacks one day being able to get together without being cruel to each other. • 38. Theme Of Biblical Allusion In Wuthering Heights As Lockwood lays to rest in the third chapter of Emily BrontГ« s Wuthering Heights, he is wrought with a dream of a fictional Reverend Jabez Branderham and his surplus of sins. The dream almost reads as incomprehensible at first glance, especially when wedged between Lockwood s visions of Catherine Earnshaw, but the dream holds clout in the overarching tale of Wuthering Heights, especially when taking its moral implications into consideration. To implement a biblical allusionin one s text requires the understanding that, no matter what one intends to do with the material, it will remain morally charged nonetheless. The material can be contorted or figured into a new message altogether, but some moral proposition will certainly remain. In the case of Lockwood s dream, BrontГ« s allusion to Peter and his interest in forgiveness are contorted to address what happens when the threshold of forgiveness is surpassed. Furthermore, the dream does not grapple with the power of forgiveness, but with the level of desperate exasperation one reaches after prolonged anguish. It is through the contortion of such a biblical allusion that Lockwood is met with what is essentially a warning against staying at either Thrushcross Grange or Wuthering Heights a warning which he ultimately disregards, thus leading to his exposure to the litany of terrors which exist in the story of Wuthering Heights. Though Lockwood s dream doesn t exactly parallel the biblical tale which it alludes to, the

The famous battle was between Robert Lee and his Northern Virginia Army and George Meade and the North s Army of the Potomac, The Union. The original leader of the Army of the Potomac was General Joseph Hooker, but President Lincoln relieved Hooker of his duties and named Meade the new General of the Army. Many soldiers died from both sides during this battle and that is the reason it is known as one of the bloodiest battles. The Battle of Gettysburg was General Robert Lee s second attempt at invading the North and there was a definite aftermath to this battle. The Battle of Gettysburg was clearly one of the biggest battles in the Civil War. General Robert Lee led his Northern Virginia Army to victory at Chancellorsville and was feeling a great deal of confidence ( Battle of Gettysburg ). He then decided with this confidence he would try a second attempt at invading the North. The reason Lee took his troops north was because he wanted to take the pressure off of the Virginia farms. Lee also thought that if he won any battles on northern territory, that it could possibly put pressure on President Lincoln to settle the war ( History Place Battle of Gettysburg ). Lee s Army was not very prepared for the battle with two of its three Corps having new commanders appointed. Lee did not do much to prepare these new commanders as they were

Stanislavsky s Invention Of Stanislavsky And The Imagination Stanislavsky and the Imagination Konstantin Stanislavsky, born in 1863 Russia was an actor and well known theatre practitioner whose main principle of theatre was the development of naturalism, called the Stanislavsky method . Being born into a wealthy family Stanislavsky had the privilege of partaking in acting from a young age, performing in his parent s acting company, the Alekseyev Circle. During the late 19th century, Stanislavsky travelled around the globe to learn about different rehearsal processes at the Comedie Francaise. [1] His influences and experiences as a youngster led him to create his own theatre company: the Moscow Art Theatre (est. 1898). Here he designed his unique system and introduced and combined realism within European trends at that time. During the decades, method acting became a popularised technique in large communities as the Moscow Theatre underwent a world tour in areas of Europe and United States. Once the tour had ended, many of the members decided to leave and go on to create the Group Theatre, which included actors like Lee Strasberg and Stella Adler. After this many went on to form the Actors Studio. [2] The System The Stanislavsky system is used to portray the naturalistic and realistic elements of life and people within theatre. The system allowed actors to draw in their own experiences to create natural and believable characters. There are few aspects towards the Stanislavsky system, also known as the Method System . His early ballets such as Firebird, Petrushka, and The Rite of Spring being a great example of his modernism and will to compose music which is both innovative and shocking. For this essay I have chosen to write about The Firebird(1910) and The Rite of Spring(1913). Firebird was Stravinsky s first Ballet and his first composition that reached many people because of its modernism and exoticism. The Rite of Spring is still renowned for its portrayal of primitivism, a concept that was accentuated by the riot that happened at its premiere. The reason why I have chosen to write about The Firebird is because it was Stravinsky s first ballet and a milestone in modernist culture. Because of its modernist attributes, The Firebird became very famous within ballet circles. The reason why I have chosen to write about The Rite of Spring is because of the controversy that surrounded it after its premiere. The ballet was so shocking to many of the audience members because some of the concepts explored in it were so different and new to them. The Firebird is based on the Russian legend of the firebird and is said to be a beautiful large red, orange and yellow bird. In the ballet, it is played by a ballet dancer whose costume is that of a half bird and half man. In the 1900s, ballet costumes tended o be very elegant, and often in pale colours. Wes Anderson (born 1969), best know as an Academy Award winning American film director and screenwriter is respected and has mastered the art of symmetry. His films are extremely identifiable, as his constant usage of symmetry within his feature films create a powerful visual aid which are capable of communicating complex meanings that cannot be conveyed visually without the addition of symmetry. • 44. Greek Mythology Vs Modern Science Greek Mythology vs. Modern Science Throughout all history, humans have been trying to make sense of the natural world around them. In ancient cultures around the world, we see this proved with myths and stories. Now that modern technology and science exists, we are able to see how natural phenomena actually happen. When witnessing natural disasters or other strange things occur, people naturally look for explanations, before modern science, that sometimes meant they had to create an explanation themselves. Myths have been used to explain everything from the simple, like wind and rain, to the complex, like solar eclipses or the Northern Lights. One culture famously known for its mythology is ancient Greece. Though Greek mythology may now seem outlandish and hard to believe, it was what gave cause to many natural phenomena before modern science, including the subjects of day and night, whirlpools, and even volcanoes. Every day, the people of Greece would witness the steady rise and fall of the sun in the sky and created a god that was similar in boldness and was just as bright. Helios (later Apollo) was a titan and thus came before many of the other gods known today. He would drive the chariot of the sun, pulled by his four horses, across the sky, bringing light to the world. Once he would reach the Hesperides (essentially the horizon), he would travel along the river circling the flat Earth to reach his home in the east to rise again the next day. Society now recognizes that

As far as veiling, the meanings within each book are primarily complimentary. When looking at the views on how certain affairs, such as veiling, should be enforced and interacted with, we see more skewed ideas. In general, all three show hegemonic qualities, yet Young and Defiant in Tehran reveals more dominating than hegemonic qualities. Veiling is an extremely debated and controversial topic all over the world. From what has been revealed, it can be presumed that a substantial difference of veiling across the board, is enforcement. From Veiled Sentiments to Young and Defiant in Tehran, the differences in ideas regarding veiling are noticeably contrasting. The three anthropology texts involved, include further inside information and feelings regarding veiling. In Veiled Sentiments by Lila Abu Lughod, veiling is a choice and is not forced on women. Due to the faith and freedom of choice, most women willingly and happily veilproperly. Although sexuality is not a popular norm among the Bedouin, it is not the sole reason for veiling. As a security consultant to IICI, I am required by my contract to identify potential cybersecurity adversaries, why they might target my client, the existing security environment, Because of their investments, my client is potentially exposed to anger from multiple groups opposed to companies in which my client has invested. For example, IICI holds investments in several large oil companies. Angry environmentalists opposed to environmental damage, such as oil spills and global warming, could target one of the oil companies in which IICI has holdings. Targeting investment companies with holdings in large oil companies could result in greater economic harm to the oil company than a direct attack on the oil company itself. For example, a large sum of money could be spent by an environmental group on a negative public relations campaign against an oil company itself, with perhaps little change in public opinion and little real financial harm to the oil company. However, a well planned and coordinated computer attack on an investment company with oil holdings could harm the oil company itself. Global Sustainability and the Water Supply The increase of global urban population has become a critical issue that the world is facing; as the world population continuously increases, the need for natural resources (Land, water, energy and food) also increases. However, natural resources are known to be finite. Which is why sustainability has become a major concept during recent times. Based on the US Environmental Protection Agency (ND), Sustainability is based on a simple principle: Everything that we need for our survival and well being depends, either directly or indirectly, on our natural environment. Sustainability creates and maintains the conditions under which humans and nature can exist in productive harmony, that permit fulfilling the social, economic and other requirements of present and future generations. Bloomberg, an international news agency in the US, reported that it was recently found by an Ernst Young study that 76% of corporate representatives think water, which is what this essay will discuss, is the top resource at risk. (Bloomberg: 2013) Water makes up around 70% of the world s surface. Less than 1% is freshwater, and only 0.4% of it is accessible for human use. (Global change: 2006) These statistics prove to show how water is limited within the cycle it goes through. The global demand for water has vastly increased in the past few decades, making demand exceed what is available for direct use. Nearly 768 Million of the human population, roughly 1 in 10 people, does not have access

It hearkens back to a time when the now forgotten men were regarded as heroes and when they understood how to live their lives and, consequently, how to love their women. The popular idea of the woman of questionable character who turns out to have a heart of gold is used to some extent here, particularly if viewed from J. Lawrence s position. His eventual acceptance and proposed marriage to Carol, who he first considered to be a lowly showgirl, successfully levels the social standing between the aristocrat and the working girl. Although J. Lawrence and Peabody assumedly begin as the villains of the picture, easily acceptable for Depression era audiences, their transformations seem to prove that even the rich have hearts, and this could be an attempt to reconcile some of the animosity between the different classes. Additionally, the initial notion of the girls as gold diggers winds up being a misconception; only because J. Lawrence and Peabody consider them to be this way do the girls play into their expectations. In the end all of this exploitation and deception results in the three couples all married or engaged to be married, a satisfying but most conventional resolution; both the gold diggers and Boston aristocrats turn out to be little different than everyone else. Again, by suggesting the similarities and common goals of different groups of people, this theme relates to the socialistic shift in the nation s politics during this period that helped bring the nation out of economic ruin.
