3. DEFINITAION & TYPES OF TEXTURE
Texture is the surface quality of a material. It refers to the quality of a surface as
perceived directly by touch (tactile texture) or indirectly by the eye (visual
texture). Texture may be defined broadly to include the visual properties of solidity,
reflectivity, translucency and transparency.
Types of Textures:
1. Tactile
2. Visual
Types of Textures Depending on Medium:
1. Metal
2. Stone
3. Concrete
4. Wood
5. Glass
6. Fabrics

Wood Glass Fabrics
4. TYPES & PROPERTIES OF METAL
Metal Texture in a process of creating texture on metal.
Textured metal can be used in all kinds of construction projects
and surfaces, ranging from sidewalks, doors, walls, railings, and
so many others. Metal texturing can be done both for aesthetic
purposes or to introduce certain attributes in steel. Metal texture
adds a certain amount of depth and texture to the metal.
Types of Metal Textures:
1. Braided
2. Bronze
3. Brushed
4. Cast iron
5. Cladding
6. Copper
7. Corrugated

5. PROPERTIES & PROCESS OF METAL
Properties of Metal Textures:
1. Metals Are Malleable
2. Metals Are Ductile
3. They Are Lustrous in Nature
4. They Are Sonorous in Nature
5. They Are Hard in Nature
6. They Are Fine Conductors of Heat and Electricity
7. Melting and Boiling Points Are High for them
8. They Are Generally Solid at Room Temperature
Process of Metal:
1. The Melting Stage
2. The Pouring Stage
3. The Pickling Stage
4. The Rolling and Annealing Stage
