Playstation 3 slim and psp go launch (31st oct 2009)dericktan
This document summarizes Sony's launch event for the PlayStation 3 Slim and PSP Go in Malaysia on October 31, 2009. The event was held at One Utama Shopping Mall and included hands-on areas for the new consoles, games, and Blu-ray movies. Over 170 customers attended despite rainy weather. The first buyer in line purchased a PS3 Slim after waiting over 48 hours. Surveys found that most customers planned to use the PS3 Slim for Blu-ray movies in addition to gaming. The event helped promote Sony's gaming brands and culture in Malaysia.
This document contains a series of math problems and games related to addition and subtraction. It asks the user to solve problems like 4+2 and 3+1, choose answers to problems like ?+3=6, and identify how many objects are hidden based on given totals. It also provides links to online math games related to addition, subtraction, and number skills.
Few months ago we asked ourselves: “What kind of TV experience users would want to pay for?”
This question, combined with our obsession with UX and UI tweaks, resulted in a bold vision of an all-in-one experience designed around opportunities mostly unexplored by all the major players. An ever-rising number of platforms, content providers, and syndicators are entering the mobile application market, but their primary oeuvre consists of streaming apps that enable users to comfortably switch screens and consume content on the go. Yet it is both smaller screens and our digital environment that are doing a much better job of providing users and companies with superior experiences.
This mood board includes potential sources of inspiration for a game including websites with flash games for PC, two bouncing ball games on Kongregate, a solar-themed game and its sequel also on Kongregate, a forum post with game development tips, and an article previewing a puzzle-platform game bringing console quality to iPhone. The mood board collects various references that could inspire ideas for a new game.

This song describes a woman who has a profound impact on the singer's life and emotions. She represents different things that can make his days heaven or hell, and is the reason he survives. While she can be a source of both pleasure and regret, the singer will remember her until he dies and care for her through good and bad times. She is the meaning of his life.

Employee training and development can benefit both employees and employers in several ways. It can increase job satisfaction, motivation, and productivity among employees. It can also lead to increased efficiencies, financial gains, innovation, and reduced turnover for employers. Training topics include communication, computer skills, customer service, diversity, ethics, and health and safety. Training is available on personal development, managerial skills, and specific competencies and can be initiated for job training, performance improvement, professional development, or succession planning. While most training is currently voluntary, making more training mandatory may better prepare employees and the organization for the future but could face union objections.
When running any amount of systems, gaining visibility into what they are doing can be a non-trivial matter. Starting on the path to monitoring can prove bumpy, and if you don’t measure, you don’t know. In this session, Michael Fiedler, Director of TechOps, will speak on personal experience with scalability, deployment, and monitoring challenges prior to using Datadog - and how that changed. He will cover how to get started, and examples of where monitoring the company's platform with Datadog provided the guiding light towards the team solving scalability problems.
The document discusses emerging mobile and digital technologies for outdoor advertising campaigns, including Bluetooth, text messaging, and digital displays. Bluetooth allows advertisers to send video clips, ring tones, and other content to consumers' mobile devices that can be consumed later. Text messaging campaigns have seen success rates over 20% for opting users into marketing databases. Examples are given of digital outdoor campaigns in major US cities using displays on buses, billboards, and in transit stations that dynamically update advertising content.

Platform failure! YouTube, Facebook & Co. go rogueBertram Gugel
Was läuft also schief auf YouTube, Facebook und Co.?

New Media, Old Money? Webvideo wird Mainstream.Bertram Gugel

Hollywood is facing increasing competition from Silicon Valley as new digital platforms emerge for distributing entertainment content. New players like Netflix and Hulu are producing their own content and attracting viewers away from traditional television. As devices like smartphones and tablets proliferate, consumers are spending more time with digital content on multiple screens. For the entertainment industry to succeed, it will need to embrace new forms of storytelling, collaborate with digital platforms, and make content widely available across all devices and services.
Social TV: Wird das Lagerfeuer digitalisiert?Bertram Gugel

This presentation discusses the evolution of television and how social aspects are changing consumption. It notes that over 90% of consumer internet traffic will be video by 2013. It also discusses how television is becoming a service available across multiple screens like smartphones and how content can be programmed and personalized. Finally, it suggests television programming and packaging is being disrupted as algorithms and user data define optimal content.
This document discusses opportunities in the evolving TV landscape. It notes that video now accounts for over 90% of consumer internet traffic and is driving massive growth in mobile networks. TV is transitioning from a medium and piece of hardware to a form of content that can be accessed across multiple screens. The document outlines 3 main opportunities: 1) Making broadcast content a first-class citizen on the web, 2) Internet-enabled TV sets allowing apps and content on the main screen, and 3) The emergence of "Next TV" driven by personalized, high-resolution content and algorithms that define programming and topics. It argues this shift will change how TV is consumed, programmed and packaged.
1) Online videos are expensive to produce but difficult to distribute and market effectively.
2) There is high demand for online videos, with many people watching videos online every day, but monetizing this viewership has been challenging.
3) Different strategies for distributing and monetizing online videos were presented, including paid content, advertising, transactions, syndication to different devices and networks. However, the best approach remains unclear.
