Decision made in 2001s was based on past experience Elaborate strategic plan based on external
environment and internal situation to make decision.
Movement from an area structure to world-wide
product structure
Elaborate structure development plan & implement
change step by step with adhesion of the team
Moving from highly decentralized structure to more
centralized structure
HR development plan with workshop, training, team
building to support change

the accomplishment of objectives

Observation/Fact of Failure:
Nokia failed to adapt quickly to changes in the
mobile phone market, particularly the shift from
traditional feature phones to smartphones. The

touchscreen technology and the iOS and Android
operating systems, which revolutionized the

Recommendation:
