20. • Standard Costing
- Lot of effort to establish standards
- Easy to account using standards
- Easy to track planned vs actuals
• Perpetual Average Costing
- Typical for commodities where it is difficult to establish a
standard
- Inventory valuation closer to actual in a fluctuating market
- Lack of ability to track planned vs actuals
• Actual Costing
- Traditionally more difficult to manage – not with Cloud
- Accurate cost and margin analysis
- Lack of ability to track planned vs actuals

Digital Transformation
The Oracle stack today includes the largest and most complete set of industry and business applications; Oracle Fusion Middleware; Oracle Database; Oracle Enterprise Linux; Oracle VM and Sun server, storage, operating system and virtualization technology.
Financial Reporting Center delivers boardroom-quality financial and management reports that are based on live general ledger balances and hierarchies. In addition to high quality, formatted reports including graphs and charts, Financial Reporting Center also supports detailed and interactive analysis within the report through expansions and drilldowns, allowing managers and executives to review strategic financial highlights and trends but with the added capability to investigate the details for a comprehensive understanding of financial performance.
The Financial Report Center provides immediate, self-service user access to users who are authorized to view the reports. Both live reports - based on real-time accounting data - and report snapshots - at a fixed point in time - can be analyzed and viewed in multiple output formats, such as HTML, PDF, Excel and other MS Office products, such as PPT.
Annotations are embedded into every report, making it easy for finance professionals to collaborate and share their comments on financial data, in order to highlight and resolve issues using a simple and productive method.
