3. o information literacy -> very broad concept
o a lot of definitions -> in 15-year span, between two important documents from
American Library Associations (Information Literacy Competency Standards for
Higher Education, 2000. & Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education,
2016) 126 definitions can be found in the literature (Sample, 2020)
o WoSCC -> a phrase information literacy -> Web of Science Category Information
Science Library Science -> 4,721 papers
o “…practical and strategic concept guiding the library field's efforts in teaching
information seeking and using skills“ (Tuominen et al., 2005)

The Faculty of Science “is still learning” - we have plans and are looking for the best
solutions and structures for the education of our users.. we still have a lot of work to do!
Inspiration and ideas - our colleagues librarians from the University of Zagreb!
Many libraries at the University of Zagreb have respectable student education
programs, some are even integrated into the university curriculum.
