Scanabilities has created a portable health information tool to give veterans access to their critical medical records anytime, anywhere. The tool uploads health profiles to a secure online portal and allows emergency responders to access the information by scanning a QR code with a smartphone. This will help emergency medical personnel quickly assess veterans' medical needs. Scanabilities proposes piloting the program with the VA to benefit veterans and reduce healthcare costs. The goal is providing veterans an active role in their healthcare through immediate access to records during emergencies while traveling.

The document presents a business model for an elderly critical care solution called Wise Age Care. It describes the market need for affordable critical care treatment for the elderly that can monitor vital signs on the go. The solution proposed is a device called Wise-Istick that continuously monitors health parameters like blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels using sensors and sends alerts in emergencies via mobile networks. It summarizes the technology, benefits, customers, distribution channels, activities, resources, partners, costs, and projected revenues of the business.
Digital transformation and application of iot to healthcaresandhibhide
Digital transformation and application of IoT can help address rising healthcare costs by building applications to meet real patient and provider needs. IoT can help optimize existing healthcare systems by remotely monitoring patients, assisting providers, and ensuring patients receive the best care. This creates opportunities to improve wellness, detect medical issues early, and monitor patients throughout the healthcare process more efficiently and economically.
This document describes a new health monitoring device called Health ID. The device uses electrodermal analysis to diagnose 105 common diseases in just 3 minutes by measuring sensors on the hands. Users can view their health indicators and get recommendations on their smartphone, tablet or computer. Doctors can also provide online consultations based on the diagnostic data. The technology aims to make healthcare more accessible and affordable in developing countries by providing simple, remote diagnostics and consultations without needing visits to clinics. It connects traditional Chinese medicine methods like acupuncture with modern mobile health monitoring technologies.
Enabling community and patient centred care, pop up uni, 11am, 3 september 2015NHS England
Expo is the most significant annual health and social care event in the calendar, uniting more NHS and care leaders, commissioners, clinicians, voluntary sector partners, innovators and media than any other health and care event.
Expo 15 returned to Manchester and was hosted once again by NHS England. Around 5000 people a day from health and care, the voluntary sector, local government, and industry joined together at Manchester Central Convention Centre for two packed days of speakers, workshops, exhibitions and professional development.
This year, Expo was more relevant and engaging than ever before, happening within the first 100 days of the new Government, and almost 12 months after the publication of the NHS Five Year Forward View. It was also a great opportunity to check on and learn from the progress of Greater Manchester as the area prepares to take over a £6 billion devolved health and social care budget, pledging to integrate hospital, community, primary and social care and vastly improve health and well-being.

Telehealth Remote Monitoring and Diagnostics proposes a telehealth solution to connect patients with a network of physicians using mobile technologies. This provides easier access to care for patients while increasing productivity and reducing costs. The solution involves patients sending health data like photos and descriptions to telehealth providers. Physicians can then diagnose patients and send prescriptions without requiring in-person visits. Aggregated patient data also allows for improved resource allocation and outbreak detection. The business aims to benefit patients, physicians and the healthcare system through more efficient care, personalized solutions and reduced costs.
Healthcare is currently undergoing a transformational metamorphosis. A new era of patient care that is more effective, precise, and patient-centered has arrived because of technological advancements.

Cell Therapy Expansion and Challenges in Autoimmune DiseaseHealth Advances
There is increasing confidence that cell therapies will soon play a role in the treatment of autoimmune disorders, but the extent of this impact remains to be seen. Early readouts on autologous CAR-Ts in lupus are encouraging, but manufacturing and cost limitations are likely to restrict access to highly refractory patients. Allogeneic CAR-Ts have the potential to broaden access to earlier lines of treatment due to their inherent cost benefits, however they will need to demonstrate comparable or improved efficacy to established modalities.
In addition to infrastructure and capacity constraints, CAR-Ts face a very different risk-benefit dynamic in autoimmune compared to oncology, highlighting the need for tolerable therapies with low adverse event risk. CAR-NK and Treg-based therapies are also being developed in certain autoimmune disorders and may demonstrate favorable safety profiles. Several novel non-cell therapies such as bispecific antibodies, nanobodies, and RNAi drugs, may also offer future alternative competitive solutions with variable value propositions.
Widespread adoption of cell therapies will not only require strong efficacy and safety data, but also adapted pricing and access strategies. At oncology-based price points, CAR-Ts are unlikely to achieve broad market access in autoimmune disorders, with eligible patient populations that are potentially orders of magnitude greater than the number of currently addressable cancer patients. Developers have made strides towards reducing cell therapy COGS while improving manufacturing efficiency, but payors will inevitably restrict access until more sustainable pricing is achieved.
Despite these headwinds, industry leaders and investors remain confident that cell therapies are poised to address significant unmet need in patients suffering from autoimmune disorders. However, the extent of this impact on the treatment landscape remains to be seen, as the industry rapidly approaches an inflection point.

Overall life span (LS) was 1671.7±1721.6 days and cumulative 5YS reached 62.4%, 10 years – 50.4%, 20 years – 44.6%. 94 LCP lived more than 5 years without cancer (LS=2958.6±1723.6 days), 22 – more than 10 years (LS=5571±1841.8 days). 67 LCP died because of LC (LS=471.9±344 days). AT significantly improved 5YS (68% vs. 53.7%) (P=0.028 by log-rank test). Cox modeling displayed that 5YS of LCP significantly depended on: N0-N12, T3-4, blood cell circuit, cell ratio factors (ratio between cancer cells-CC and blood cells subpopulations), LC cell dynamics, recalcification time, heparin tolerance, prothrombin index, protein, AT, procedure type (P=0.000-0.031). Neural networks, genetic algorithm selection and bootstrap simulation revealed relationships between 5YS and N0-12 (rank=1), thrombocytes/CC (rank=2), segmented neutrophils/CC (3), eosinophils/CC (4), erythrocytes/CC (5), healthy cells/CC (6), lymphocytes/CC (7), stick neutrophils/CC (8), leucocytes/CC (9), monocytes/CC (10). Correct prediction of 5YS was 100% by neural networks computing (error=0.000; area under ROC curve=1.0).

9. The True Cost
Of Patient Drop-outs
In Clinical Trials
Loss of Valuable Data
Losing a patient also means a loss of valuable data. Once
they drop out of the trial, the data collected from them is no
longer usable, and the process will need to begin again
with a new patient. In most instances, this results in delays
to the study and wasted time, money and resources.
When patients taking part in a clinical trial feel under-
appreciated, or like their needs are not being met, or like
participation in the trial is simply too difficult for them and
they’re forced to drop out, they may be left feeling upset
and negative.
In Summary
Patient retention is critical to the success of a clinical study,
and the true cost of patient drop-outs goes far beyond the
cost of patient recruitment.
The time, resource, human and reputational costs can n be
vast, the impact can long-lasting.
Repairing the damage after patients have dropped out of a
study isn’t easy – therefore focusing on patient-centricity in
all elements of trial design is necessary to mitigate this risk.

If something happens, emergency or hospital HCP scan QR code and access study information, investigators contact phone. In order to obtain patients health data, HCP should enter
verification code from SMS, that will be sent to patient’s, investigator’s & relative's/caregiver’s phones.
At the same time it will trigger the notification to investigator & relative/caregiver about possible adverse event with the patient.
