Technologies are various, with numerous implications for the
forest sector. It's vital to remember that technology includes
both hardware and software. The forest industry has been
impacted by technology in a variety of ways.
In general, technical advancement is defined as the application
of scientific or other organized knowledge to practical activities,
which might include any tool, technique, product, process,
method, organization, or system.
The implications of technological advancement at a high level,
one characteristic trait of technological growth is that it almost
always increases productivity, or output per unit of input.
As a result of technical advancements and developments, the
forest industry is constantly changing.

FORESTRY
 TRADITIONAL FORESTRY:
Traditional forestry practices, rely heavily
on manual and analogue processes.
 PRECISION FORESTRY:
Precision forestry involves the use of
instruments and technology to collect
data, which is then processed by artificial
intelligence and machine learning
software to produce insights that people
can use to make site-specific
management decisions.

IMPORTANCE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGIES
IN FORESTRY
 Mapping technology has grown more affordable and
accessible.
 The use of digital analysis and reporting reduces the number
of errors that arise when forests are valued manually.
 Rapid and regular reporting allows for quick access to digital
data that has been examined.
 The use of remote-sensed images allows for a more cost-
effective and faster assessment of forests.
 Drones or satellites monitoring woods provide early warning
of fires, ahead of direct observations, allowing for faster
action.
 Helps to reduce illegal logging and damage by using digital
scouting to track changes in tree cover.
Precision forestry can improve the efficiency and data base of
existing national forest inventories and operational forest
management planning.
One of the most important uses would be to improve the REDD
program's implementation. The program's goal is to generate
funds to help reduce global emissions caused by deforestation
and forest degradation.
We can improve the use and conservation of forest resources,
as well as a variety of practical forestry applications, by
employing more accurate information on forest resources. It
also introduces new perspectives to forest science.
The more precise identification of forest resources can be used
in the construction of models that can be used in analyses of
global climate change scenarios.

  • 3. Technologies are various, with numerous implications for the forest sector. It's vital to remember that technology includes both hardware and software. The forest industry has been impacted by technology in a variety of ways. In general, technical advancement is defined as the application of scientific or other organized knowledge to practical activities, which might include any tool, technique, product, process, method, organization, or system. The implications of technological advancement at a high level, one characteristic trait of technological growth is that it almost always increases productivity, or output per unit of input. As a result of technical advancements and developments, the forest industry is constantly changing. IMPORTANCE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGIES IN FORESTRY  Mapping technology has grown more affordable and accessible.  The use of digital analysis and reporting reduces the number of errors that arise when forests are valued manually.  Rapid and regular reporting allows for quick access to digital data that has been examined.  The use of remote-sensed images allows for a more cost- effective and faster assessment of forests.  Drones or satellites monitoring woods provide early warning of fires, ahead of direct observations, allowing for faster action.  Helps to reduce illegal logging and damage by using digital scouting to track changes in tree cover.
  • 11. Precision forestry can improve the efficiency and data base of existing national forest inventories and operational forest management planning. One of the most important uses would be to improve the REDD program's implementation. The program's goal is to generate funds to help reduce global emissions caused by deforestation and forest degradation. We can improve the use and conservation of forest resources, as well as a variety of practical forestry applications, by employing more accurate information on forest resources. It also introduces new perspectives to forest science. The more precise identification of forest resources can be used in the construction of models that can be used in analyses of global climate change scenarios.
