LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

Changes in vegetation cover refer to variations in the distribution, composition, and overall
structure of plant communities across different temporal and spatial scales. These changes can

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.
How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

2. The French Revolution And The American Revolution
The French Revolution: The event that led to the transformation of the globe into the world we know
it as today. One of the most revolutionary events in human history was started by a group of
individuals sitting in the Palace of Versailles who decided that enough was enough and that the only
answer to the injustices of the ruling regime was Revolution. These people eventually became known
as the National Constituent Assembly, or, colloquially, the National Assembly. Over the course of two
years, this National Assembly sparked a revolution, established a new form of government in one of
the oldest European nations, and made a new society based on the principles created during the
Enlightenment. The National Assembly initially grew out of a national debt issue brought about by
French involvement in the Seven Years War and the American Revolution (SparkNotes Editors, 2005).
The amount of debt that France had built up due to these two wars, plus the debt racked up by
domestic spending and corruption, was so large that, according to Bentley and Ziegler, half of
government revenue went to the national debt (p. 627). This, in turn, caused King Louis XVI to call a
session of the Estates General, which is called to order during times of great tension and stress within
the country. The Estates General was essentially a legislature that was broken up into three equal
groups of representatives. These representatives represented the First Estate (clergy and members of

Heroes are important. We all see heroes as strong, fast, and brave as they embrace the impossible.
Whether they are real or just a cartoon, they inspire us to be brave, strong, and to help the people
around us. Some heroes that inspire us are Odysseus the strong and brave king, Katniss Everdeen the
determined and strong. These two Heroes both have family members they are fighting for. Odysseus is
fighting for Penelope and Telemachus and Katniss is fighting for Prim. These heroes both go through
trials that make them stronger, and wiser. When their homes were being troubled by the Suitors,
Katniss was troubled by the capitol. Odysseus traveled to go fight a war but got lost, Katniss was put
in the hunger games but hated the capitol, so she

5. Creating A Distributed Operating Systems That Support...
Abstract IT industry being one of the major development areas, many people choose their career in it.
To support all range of industries i.e., from small scale to large scale, cloud computing emerged which
reduces the efforts both physically and with regard to capital investment. Depending on the length of
work that one would like to choose with, cloud computing offers four types of delivery models
namely, public cloud , private cloud , community cloud and hybrid cloud . User is also free to choose
the amount of control one would like to have on their data that is stored in the cloud. The cloud
providers offer three types of services which give users different types of permissions. More
permissions the user hold, the more control and privacy obtained on the data. The data being shared
among the open space is less secured. Cloud computing involving different technologies like
networks, databases, operating systems and many other, has enormous security issues. In perspective
to the designing of a distributed operating systems that support cloud computing, resource scheduling,
transaction management, load balancing, concurrency control, memory management are some of the
major issues that are to be considered. Scalability, loss of data, performance also stand as the other
major concerns due to the heavy growth of organizations which are using the cloud. This paper
discusses about the several mechanisms that are to be undertaken to improve the functionality of the

6. History, Family Structure, And Culture Essay
Belize has been historically known for its tourism for several of years. This first started dating back
about 2000 years ago when the Ancient Mayans were introduced. We have learned so much about
their culture and history thanks to years of research and the help of archaeologists excavating several
Mayan ruins in Belize. Although the number of Mayans still alive today has greatly reduced they still
had a major impact to our culture as shown through the many challenges they had to overcome and the
discoveries that they made. Some of the topics that will be addressed will be geography, history,
family structure, and culture. The Mayans are known for their diversity as they are divided into three
different regions; the northern highlands, the central lowlands, and the southern highlands. The overall
name for this was called Mesoamerica which spreads across five different countries. These countries
were Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, and El Salvador. There are different groups that make up
the Mayans. According to Lafond (1996), Some of the largest Maya groups are found in Mexico, the
most important of these being the Yucatects, the Tzotzil, and the Tzeltal. Specifically, in Belize, they
are comprised of three Mayans groups; the Kekchi Maya, the Yucatec Maya, and the Mopan Mayans.
The Kekchi Mayans immigrated from San Pedro in Guatemala then to Belize where they occupied
eight villages, specifically in the Toledo district. The Yucatects migrated from South Mexico and

8. Pros And Cons Of Blockchain
Blockchain, the future of transactions. It worries many people with confusion, but others embrace it as
the future. In the financial markets, trades happen in a fraction of a second. But actually exchanging
the assets and payments can take days, involving multiple banks and clearinghouses. That can lead to
errors, delays, added costs and unnecessary risks ( Blockchain: The New Technology ). Todays system
is inefficient. It can take days for a transaction to be verified, in that amount of time stocks could
plummet and the market could crash. The extra time makes for more unnecessary risks. Blockchain is
a giant ledger that registers all types of transactions. These transactions can include anything from
selling plants to selling houses, verified in a matter of seconds. Blockchain is virtually unhackable and
is very reliable. Blockchain is so secure because it is decentralized, it utilizes cryptography, and it is
run by its users.
Blockchain is basically a giant ledger, recording payments from many platforms, most notably,
Bitcoin. Blockchain was originally developed as a part of Bitcoin, but Bitcoin and Blockchain are very
different. Bitcoin is a single currency and Blockchain is a record of payments that can support many
different currencies, the most used being Bitcoin. According to Goldman Sachs, At its heart, a

monumental influence through his work in the movie industry. His main message is to get people to

He opens people s eyes to scandals and corruption within the government. He shows how imperative it
is to vote and how involved the country has to get in their government. He is not afraid to stand up for
what he believes in and is more than eager to expose issues that have to be addressed. In this film he
shows that President Bush could have and should have done more to prevent the disastrous day on
September 11th. He shows that President Bush knew more about vacationing than about hard work. In
all of his films he gives alarming truths, facts, and statistics that are haunting. He talks in the film
about how the Bush administration allegedly used the catastrophic event to push forward its agenda
for unwarranted wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Through footage and interviews Moore illustrates how
Bush has gotten America into the worse trouble than ever before and why Americans can not stand for
it.
The health care industry along with universal healthcare is the plot for his film Sicko. In this film,
Moore opens the curtains on the crooked multi billion dollar Health Care system that is in effect in the

health insurance, and countries who provide their citizens with universal health care. He explains how

10. The Accounting Principles Of Financial Statements And...
Accounting in health care has profound effects on financial statements, and knowing the necessary
components to conducting financial reports and balancing the assets is vital. Many things contribute to
the overall foundation of the balance sheet and valuations for the health care organization. A lot of
moving parts are required to keep health care organizations running and afloat for the long term. One
must understand the accounting concepts, and methods, terminology, in order to explain the various
uses on how they apply to balance sheets. Valuing assets and Generally Accepted Accounting
Principles (GAAP) method is effective for the right valuation as they will be explained in the
following paragraphs.
Differences between Cash and Accrual Accounting
Cash accounting is a simple method which deals with revenue and expense within the health care
organization and personal uses. This method can easily apply to everyday people as several people
have a personal checkbook; they use to keep track of their expenses and depositing money every so
often. Using a checkbook is how we withdraw money for expenses which is one standard way to pay
for items. Cash basis accounting is also applied when reporting salaries for physicians or registered
nurses as an expense and this would allow no revenue of patients treated by physicians until the
following year when profits are collected. As good as method this is for people, accountants strive for
a better way to assess the organizations

(Doerner, 2012). A sworn police officer position can be very competitive with many agencies
attracting 50 60 applicants for each available job (Doerner, 2012). Knowing this, I believe makes an
argument against the critics that argue a rigorous selection process needlessly produces a smaller
eligibility pool. The rigorous selection process has stood the test of time with the Denver Police
Department s hiring guidelines used almost 70 years ago is very much the same for many agencies
today (Doerner, 2012).

possible flaws. I believe the selection

12. How Is Media Inherently Bias
Media is not inherently bias, however different viewpoints, goals and opinions cause media sources to
be biased. Even though the press is supposed to be impartial and provide truthful information to the
people, emotions, and opinions cause journalists to manipulate the content the press produces. This
leads to a multitude of alternate biases. For example, some media sources are biased in the favor of
Republicans and others in the favor of Democrats. Many are also independent and have a set of views
and beliefs all their own. Media biases also vary in intensity. Some sources may attempt to seem
neutral, but possess an underlying bias to a certain side. Others, on the other hand, may thrive on
criticizing and denouncing an opposing side.
Technically, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was created to be free of external influence and free to cover all stories possible. Even though some
news is impartial, people have different biases and many media organizations attempt to appeal to that
bias through gatekeeping and agenda setting. This allows people to congregate with others with the
same views and create an atmosphere that ignores people who do not have the same biases.
Consequently, people become polarized and oblivious to the people on the opposite side of the
ideological spectrum. However, simply diversifying the sources of one s media intake may break
through the atmosphere of polarization. If one understands the opposing side s point of view, then he
or she will discover other types of bias and the reasons behind that bias. In other words, if a person
were to watch solely Democratic sources of media, then he or she will never comprehend the
Republican point of view. However, if the person chooses to watch a variety of news sources, then he

that the media is geared towards a specific audience and all have different biases and bias

13. Argumentative Essay On The Gay Rights Movement
The gay rights movement is not a party. It is not a lifestyle... It is not about sin or salvation. The gay
rights movement is an integral part of the American promise of freedom (Urvashi Vaid). Many people
were not supportive of the minority of people coming out to the world and becoming a part of the
LGBTQ+ community. The actions of the many who did not accept the idea of being gay, lesbian or
transgender, would interfere with their confidence and freedom of being who they want to be. The
idea of gay rights was not socially accepted since it had differed from the social norm of a male and
female sexually attracted to one another. However, there would be a safe haven in most cities for the
LGBTQ+ community to thrive and reveal themselves towards the people that truly accepted them for
who they are. Although there were very few safe havens around, these places would be tormented by
the police and many of the people in them would become oppressed since they wanted to be in a place
of acceptance. From June 28, 1969 through July 1, 1969, the gay community faced massive
oppression from police raids in Greenwich Village, NYC at Stonewall Inn, which caused them to start
a riot which ignited a major conflict for the sake of their own safety and freedom. This riot allowed
them to show their oppressors that they are human as well and are able to fight back for themselves
and for the future generations ahead of them. Due to the lack of a formal compromise between the gay
community and the police, many people questioned as well as oppressed them because of certain
religious aspects and social norms, but the conflict resulted in the development of the Gay Liberation
Front and allowing the LGBTQ+ community to freely express themselves. Within many religions,
especially in Christianity, it is said that same sex relations are a sin. Since most of the Americans
around this time were Christian, many of them believed that the relations between a girl and a girl or a
guy and guy were so foreign due to the belief that God created men and women so that only these
genders could be together. Organizations were made to stop the gay community from flourishing.
They also made many feel like there was something wrong

15. The Causes Of Crime
Crime can never be eliminated in the world and it would be abnormal if it ever did happen in society.
Perhaps, a society without crime is a spiral of our own imagination. Crime can be related to intra class
struggles because it still makes an impact in America. In today s society crime is a norm for many
cities in America. According to Forbes, St. Louis is the most dangerous city in America in 2017. Why
are there increasing rates of crime over the last decade? What are the reasons for crime? The reasons
of crime can stem from poverty, unemployment, politics, drug abuse, and recurring individuals in and
out of prison. In past history, former Mayor Richard J. Daley was involved in a corruption scandal.
There is a history of corruption by officials in Chicago because they would use the political machine
to gain political support to win in office. This machine is produced by a boss or group that demands
the support of other officials through scandalous control. Daley allowed the poor to suffer and the
richer get wealthier. The purpose is to gain control over a particular area. In today s society, the
machine is still seen today in Chicago s Police Department. Durkheim argues that crime makes society
functions as a whole. He states that crime is normal because it generates the collective sentiment.

follow. The rules that are broken are established

Technology by H. Stephen Wright is a scholarly article detailing the inefficiencies of technology
dealing with cataloging in libraries. In this article, Wright s main argument surrounds the difficulty of
predicting future technological breakthroughs, specifically in libraries and the music industry. He
continually criticizes and undermines the power that modern technology possesses. He goes on to find
fault in the durability of technology because libraries have to constantly update its collection. Granted
that this article was written more than a decade ago, Wright s criticism still presents a limited
understanding of the possibilities of technological advancements.
Wright introduces the reader to Vannevar Bush s proposed idea of a machine called the memex that

accurately predict and understand what the end user is attempting to locate. Wright claims that the
music libraries are showing signs of failure with its adaptation in the digital world. He mentions that
music libraries have transitioned to compact discs. His argument is incorrect on the fact that digital

I think Haidt s definition of moral systems is an interesting one and one which I believe would help
reconcile conflicts between religious morality and secular morality, at least on the surface. If, as a
human group, people viewed morality in this way (values, practices, institutions, psychological
mechanisms used to make social life possible), I believe we might recognize the commonalities
religious and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another idea presented in this week s readings which I found compelling was the brief discussions on
technology and the impact this has on our sense of morality. Merton obviously speaks about
technology to great lengths in his poem about the atomic bomb. In this piece Merton seems to take the
position that technological advances are not always a good thing. In many ways, I would agree with
Merton, especially when it comes to technological advances in weaponry. I believe, as I think Merton
does as well, that many of these advances allow us as a species to dehumanize various groups and
therefore enable us to destroy them with little conscious thought to the moral implications this
destruction has. On the other hand, Haidt takes a different approach at the end of his article, The New
Synthesis in Moral Psychology. He states that with technological advances we become more aware of
people in the rest of the world, not only aware of their achievements but also of their tragedies. As this
happens, our concern for others expands and we increasingly want peace, decency, and cooperation to
prevail in other groups, and in the human group as well. (Haidt, pg. 1001) I found this statement
particularly interesting because, like many others, I often assume that rather than uniting us as a
human species, technology often isolates us and we become more disconnected from our immediate
groups as well as our wider groups. I often,

22. Justification by Faith Essay
Justification by Faith
In verse 15, Paul writes, We who are Jews by birth and not Gentile sinners Paul seems to be telling his
gentile reader that the Torah has no bearing on their salvation. I feel that he purposely or inadvertently
gives the law merit more merit than intended by suggesting that Jews are not sinners because they
received the law. He draws a distinction between himself and the gentile sinners yet he is telling his
audience that the ways, some of which are still a part of his own way of life, are irrelevant. He seems
to almost make a separation of culture and religion. He seems to be saying that the rectitude of the
Jews dates from birth, because the Jewish religion is a part of their culture. Peter claims to ... Show

It was such an incredible experience that he felt that every one needed to know that it was by faith
alone that they could be justified. As a devout Jew he had followed the Law his entire life and felt it
important that people know that in spite of his doing all the works of the Torah he was not justified
before his vision.
Verse 17. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are
found sinners; is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid.
Some critics of this passage would argue that there are two sets of behavior standards given for
Christian and Jews. In order to obtain salvation in Jewish faith one must follow the rule of like and
ceremony. In order that a Christian obtain salvation they must only believe in Christ. Some were
worried that this new religion would be saturated by people who wanted to commit acts against the
law and still be saved because they professed to believe in Christ. The concept of grace and mercy was
a foreign one and harsh judgment was a reality of the day. The other part of this verse was, is Christ a
master of sin?
Paul knew that some would argue that if all Christian had to do was believe that Christ must be a
proponent of sin because he didn t threaten any penalty comparable to that of the old testament. Paul
inserted that Christ was certainly not a master of sin. The Martin Luther commentary of Galatians
states All who say that faith alone in Christ does not justify a

The death penalty, also known as capital punishment or execution, is a punishment that kills someone
for committing a crime, usually murder. Almost every place in the world has had a death sentence
penalty, but it s mostly seen in the United States through a judicial system. The death penalty is a cruel
and unethical way of justice. There must be a way to solve this complex issue. The 8th Amendment in
the Bill of Rights states that there should be no cruel and unusual punishment. Is the death penalty not
considered a form of cruel punishment? The death penalty goes against this amendment, which makes
this an unethical form of punishment. No matter what the circumstance or situation, killing is cruel,

According to Simply Psychology, Bowlby s attachment theory says an individual can have an
attachment with someone that is not shared. Attachment is characterized by behaviors in children such
as seeking proximity with their attachment figure when upset. Bowlby s experiments led him to see
the importance of a child and mother relationship. (Saul McLeod, 2009) With more research later
came four phases of attachment. Phase one is from birth to two months, this stage is where babies seek
comfort, and can attach to anyone. Phase two is from two months to seven months. Babies start to
discriminate between familiar and unfamiliar faces. Also, they can tell between primary and secondary
caregivers. Phase three is seven to 24 months old. This phase is when babies have the knowledge of
who their caregiver is, which causes separation anxiety when the caregiver has to leave. Phase four is
from 24 months and after, which is when the child can reciprocate the relationship. (Maianu, 2015)

27. The Whiskey Rebellion And The Nullification Crisis
In a world where there will always be constant opposition, humanity must learn to use it as a weapon
rather than a weakness. The stronger an individual or in this case a nation is, the more challenges and
trials one must face. As the federal government s power increased, the more rebellion and revolution
surfaced. Many will say that the more power equaled less problems. However, that is simply untrue,
because someone will always have to make a choice, like how as long as there is strength in this
world, there will be a vulnerability to overcome. For example, the Whiskey Rebellion and the
Nullification Crisis were determining factors of how opposition will come as long as there is power in
the midst. Therefore, these two specific historical markers help show the true colors of a nation
through the motives and effectiveness of federal power and constant opposition. In every abyss of
darkness, there will be a light to shine through and break that barrier. History is what makes the world
s character as well the inhabitants that remain within. The Whiskey Rebellion was a way for people
who appear as commoners to finally take a stand against the government, especially Alexander
Hamilton s taxes that were being put into place. Which brings the other tipping point, which is known
as the Nullification Crisis, it gave the federal government a wake up call, for it showed no matter how
much power increased, there will always be a voice out there ready to be heard. And the Nullification

31. What Stands Beyond The Triumph Of Christianity
What Stands Beyond the Triumph of Christianity For several centuries of Roman Empire existence, it
seemed that nothing could stand against its mighty power. No kingdom could match their military or
political power for over five hundred years. However, the Rise of Christianity brought the defeat upon
Romans. Initially, the new religion appeared to be nothing more than a branch of Judaism. Jesus was
perceived as a teacher, healer, and a commoner, who ended up being executed as a public criminal.
Both, Romans and Jews, feared that popularity, which Jesus evoked in the public could pose a threat
to the established social order. Following death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, there were massive

Conversion of Emperor Constantine to Christianity played an important part in establishing
Christianity as a state religion of Roman Empire. However, even prior to Constantine s rise to power,
Christianity was already a well organized and unified force, which sustained regardless of the
opposition and lack of support from the state (Paulgaard, 2007). Christianity evolved from Judaism
and widely utilized existing holy scriptures of Jewish prophets in the service of preaching the Gospel.
During time preceding the birth of Jesus, many Jews were scattered among Hellenistic kingdom,
which later became a part of the Roman Empire. Being separated from their Motherland, most of Jews
lost their ability to speak and read Hebrew language. Subsequently, Septuagint, a Hebrew to Greek
translation of old testament was developed and widely used by both Jews and Christians (Paulgaard,
2007). Disciples believed that Jesus, who came from a tribe of David, was a fulfillment of old
testament prophesies promising upcoming of the new Messiah who would deliver his nation, Israel.
Several century prior to the birth of Jesus, Isaiah, the well known Hebrew prophet, proclaimed,
foreseeing the future: For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be

uniformity in favor of diversity, in an attempt to gain some level of power. Throughout the novel, you

35. Analysis Of Rita Hayworth And The Shawshank Redemption
In Rita Hayworth and The Shawshank Redemption the prison acts as a microcosm reflecting the
structures of the capitalist society to what extent do you agree with this view?
One critic named Terry Eagleton, stated It is capitalism, not Marxism that trades in futures. This quote
alone suggests the extent of what capitalism is to some Marxist critiques and this one is suggesting
that the future is traded upon capitalism which relates to King s Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank
Redemption as the prison system does determine the future of inmates yet inside the prison there is a
capitalist structure. I will look at a plethora of characters in the novella and explore how their roles in
the prison are used to reflect capitalist society: Andy a bourgeoisie socially but a proletariat politically,
Red who goes under the system whom also, serves the proletariat even though he is one himself and
the warden that uses his role as the bourgeoisie for corruption and power over the inmates. Despite the
inmates being in a confined space and managed by the outside world. It could be argued that the
Shawshank prison is formulating a society of their own.
Kings use of the character, Andy, is vague. As it could be argued that his role changes throughout the
novella. It could be said that there are many interpretations to where Andy s character develops as he
can be measured by his political and social class as we see done by the prisoners and the wider
society. Reiman wrote a book titled the rich get richer and the poor get prison this pragmatically
shows that those who are poor go to prison. However, this is not the case with Andy due to the fact
before he was in prison he was a successful banker so in fact he was not poor, opposing the view, that
Reiman is signifying. Somewhat suggesting that King is stating that society could have an impact on
any group of people regardless of what the backgrounds are or the backgrounds of the individual.
Andy was a banker before he came to the Shawshank prison. In some lens he would be perceived as a
bourgeoisie because of the class that would have been in. However, from a political lens it would be
evident that Andy could be a proletariat for the ranks of the company that he had

expressive and detailed despite the absence of bright colors. The reproduction represents Bottom, the
weaver with a head of an ass being favored by the fairy queen Titania. They are surrounded by fairies,
and enchanted animals while the sprite, Puck watches from behind. The technique of mezzotint
originated in the seventeenth century by a German inventor, Ludwig von Siegen. Mezzotint was a
laborious method which used an engraved metal plate. The highly skilled artist, engraved or pricked
by hand, the plate making numerous small holes that would hold ink. When the plate was filled with

one man took this great opportunity to Tampa. Henry B. Plant expanded his popular Plant System of
Railroads to south Florida to be able to import and export more goods through the vast ports of the
region and make more commerce with the neighboring island of Cuba. In 1888 Tampa Bay Hotel was
built to house the quickly growing winter visitors, a project that cost a whopping 3 million dollars at
the time. The architecture of the hotel is a very interesting form of Renaissance. Gothic style arches

41. Men In The Elizabethan Era
The high class people of the Elizabethan era were borderline obsessed with their appearance. These
nobles would go to almost any length to ensure that they looked impeccable according to the social
standards. Nothing was too extreme because in their eyes, the gain outweighed the loss. Men and
women of the Elizabethan era would do almost anything to distinguish their class.
Both men and women wanted to be in the height of fashion, especially when it came to hair. Noble
men would also dress just as extravagantly as their female counterparts. This is contrary to modern
times, as today s men tend to not spend as much time and money as women on appearance. To the
people of the Elizabethan era, beauty was everything. Anything or anyone ugly was inferior.

42. Contest For Supremacy Book Report
According to Friedberg, China and the U.S. are on their way to compete for international power and
influence. In his work, he reviews an emerging Sino American rivalry that continues to intensify due
to the power gap narrowing. This rivalry is not due to erased misperceptions and policy errors.
However, it is due to power politics and differing ideologies. Both the U.S. and PRC have objectives
that threaten interests of the others side. The United States promotes regime change in China. They
wish to have China move from an authoritarian means towards liberal democracy by peaceful and
gradual methods. Even though both have differences, they see the benefit in continuing their economic
relations. Author claims that we focus on the more ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I think he tends to discount the importance of China s relationships to power and ideology. The book
emphasizes Friedberg s opinion as thoughtful and balanced in the order of Asia pessimists. Even
though he is pessimistic, Friedberg offers excellent analysis of relationship topic. Throughout A
Contest for Supremacy, He had detailed information on the comparative military strengths of the
United States and China. This is shown when he discusses how the PRC can offset American
advantages with advancing Chinese technologies. His well informed content of Chinese and American
policy and the balance of power and influence are filled with thoughtful insight. In order to
demonstrate how China tried to improve its image regarding soft power, he refers to other scholars
and their works such as Huntington s Clash of Civilizations and Joshua Kurlantzik s The Charm
Offensive. While reading, I thought Friedberg sometimes over exaggerated the threat posed by China.
While analyzing Friedberg s analysis, his work could provoke potential conflict due to his belief that
the U.S. needs to focus on its offensive capabilities in the Pacific region. Friedberg s case that China
seeks to eject the U.S. from East Asia continues also may raises some

The novel The Divine Wind , written by Australian author Garry Disher, set in Broome during WWII
is about a man named Hart who happens to fall in heart eyes with a young, beautiful woman during a
time of hardship and war. The book is a straightforward yet deceiving read due to the short length of
the novel. The language used in the novel was very understandable, there were not many overly
complex words used. The plot of the story was in two parts, following two main story lines, one being
the interracial love between Hartley Penrose and Mitsy Sennosuke and the other being the bombing of
Darwin.
The friendships and relationships formed and broken by characters and how they impacted on others
at the time was a big part of the read. More ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The depression caused multiple hardships for them to endure. World War II saw many women join the
workforce due to necessity, taking up jobs that had previously been considered only for men. Social
attitudes towards what women were capable of doing had been changed due to the experience; this
point in time was of high importance. During the time in the text, woman s rights were very
underdeveloped, women were powerless and men were alpha. The female characters were often
portrayed as nothing but housewives that weren t able to express their own opinions without facing a
