This document discusses Huntington's disease and its impact on families. Huntington's is a neurodegenerative genetic disorder that destroys areas of the brain. It is passed down through families, with children of an affected parent facing a 50% risk of inheriting the faulty gene. The document outlines several challenges for young people in Huntington's families, such as family breakdown, caregiving responsibilities, isolation, stigma, loss of opportunities, and mental health risks. It introduces the Huntington's Disease Youth Organisation as a support resource and emphasizes that Huntington's impacts whole families, so support must consider the needs of the entire family.

sexuelle.
