There are several steps businesses can take to reduce electricity costs, which can significantly cut into profit margins. First, understand local electricity prices and how competitors save on costs. Second, make the business more energy efficient by training employees to use less lighting and natural light when possible. Finally, upgrading to LED lights provides energy savings that outweigh the higher upfront cost through a return on investment within a few years.

The document discusses compartment syndrome, which occurs when increased pressure within a confined body space, such as the leg or forearm, leads to ischemia and potential tissue death without intervention. It defines compartment syndrome and outlines its epidemiology, causes, clinical presentation, diagnosis via compartment pressure measurement, and management through fasciotomy to decompress the pressure and prevent limb loss or death. Early diagnosis and treatment within 6-12 hours of injury results in the best prognosis and recovery.
Seven Factors to Lose Weight the Healthy Waydabnel
Obesity is becoming a global problem and is predicted to reach epidemic levels in the United States by 2020. Being overweight can create a cycle where it is easier to develop a sedentary lifestyle leading to more weight gain. To avoid this, people who are not yet overweight should do everything to avoid it, while overweight individuals should lose weight gradually over time through healthy options rather than crash diets.

A review of childhood acquired heart diseases in north central nigeriaAsi-oqua Bassey
This study analyzed patterns of childhood acquired heart disease (AHD) diagnosed by echocardiography at Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH) in Nigeria over a 10-year period. Rheumatic heart disease (RHD) was found to be the most common AHD, affecting 57.7% of patients, predominantly in females older than 5 years. Cardiomyopathy was the second most common (21.1%), most frequently seen in children under 5. The study concluded that RHD remains a major public health problem in Nigeria and that improved living conditions and primary prevention of streptococcal infections are urgently needed.

MongoDB in a scale-up: how to get away from a monolithic hell — MongoDB Paris...Horgix
This is the slide deck of a talk by Alexis "Horgix" Chotard and Laurentiu Capatina presented at the MongoDB Paris User Group in June 2024 about the feedback on how PayFit move away from a monolithic hell of a self-hosted MongoDB cluster to managed alternatives. Pitch below.
March 15, 2023, 6:59 AM: a MongoDB cluster collapses. Tough luck, this cluster contains 95% of user data and is absolutely vital for even minimal operation of our application. To worsen matters, this cluster is 7 years behind on versions, is not scalable, and barely observable. Furthermore, even the data model would quickly raise eyebrows: applications communicating with each other by reading/writing in the same MongoDB documents, documents reaching the maximum limit of 16MiB with hundreds of levels of nesting, and so forth. The incident will last several days and result in the loss of many users. We've seen better scenarios.
Let's explore how PayFit found itself in this hellish situation and, more importantly, how we managed to overcome it!
On the agenda: technical stabilization, untangling data models, breaking apart a Single Point of Failure (SPOF) into several elements with a more restricted blast radius, transitioning to managed services, improving internal accesses, regaining control over risky operations, and ultimately, approaching a technical migration when it impacts all development teams.

Compte-rendu :
