“Game-changer”
The Internet is a "game-changer" in people's evolution. It was officially born on 1st
January 1983. From 1983 till now, the Internet has evolved a lot and changed the lives of
humanity. There are several turning points in Internet evolution that lead to the current
impact on our lives. The first one is the creation of the World Wide Web (WWW).
Companies such as Amazon, eBay, Hotmail, PayPal, Google also created their websites
till 1999.
Then social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedln and the
creation of mobile devices like iPhones, tablets and smartwatches transform our lives
forever.
Access to Internet
 There were 4.66 billion active internet users worldwide in January 2021. Of this total, 92.6 percent (4.32
billion) accessed the internet via mobile devices. (Joseph Johnson, September 2021)
 China, India and USA are countries with the most internet users worldwide. China has more than 854
million internet users, and India has approximately 560 million online users. (Joseph Johnson,
September 2021)

In 2020, it was estimated that fixed broadband subscriptions reached 16.7 active subscriptions per
100 inhabitants of the global population. Europe had the highest rate of wired broadband
subscriptions with 34.7 per 100 inhabitants.(Joseph Johnson, September 2021)

these innovations influence internet usage?

Smartphones are the innovation of first decade of
20 centre. They changed the World and improve
people opportunities. Smartphones are one of the
most important part of our lives for good or bad.
Through them, we connect, work, learn and have
fun.
Laptops and desktop computers
Computers are part of our job, our entertainment, our life. Тhanks to them and their
automation, work processes are much faster and easier. People use PCs to organize their
daily tasks, write emails, create different documents, use social media, video and photo
editing, advertising, etc.

Bing, but they aren't the

Yahoo, Baidu, Yandex,
DuckDuckGo, Ask.com,
Ecosia, Aol.com, Internet

Google is the number one search
engine of all time.
According to statistics
from statista and statcounter,
Google dominates the market in
all countries on any device
(desktop, mobile, and tablet).
People use it because it is the
most trusted.

Microsoft Bing
Alex Chris says that is the best Google alternative search engine. Bing’s search engine
share is between 2.83% and 12.31%.
Yahoo
Yahoo is one of the most popular email providers and its web search engine holds third
place in search with an average of 1% market share.

Online shopping has been growing fast in the last
few years. According to Maryam Mohsin, one of
the reasons online shopping has grown so much
over the years is the experience businesses can
provide to their customers.

Interesting facts are that studies show that 54% of consumers want to
see more video content from a brand or business they support (HubSpot,
2018) and 86% of businesses use video as a marketing tool — up from
63% over the last three years (Wyzowl)

trends
 The Internet created online businesses and
changed the customers’ habits and behaviours
about shopping and services.
 The Internet changed the payment habits of
customers.
 The internet changed the communication
between people.

Customers’ habits grew up with the digital
evolution. Last three years, customers’ behaviours
changed a lot. Because of the pandemic,
customers started to use more digital services.
Therefore online businesses are growing every
single day.
According to Oberlo, online shoppers have been growing over the past few years. In 2021,
there were 900 million more digital buyers than there were in 2020—a 4.4 % year-over-year
increase.

People have started using different
payment methods because of the growing
world of technology and online shopping.
Digital payments are seen as a quick,
hassle-free, no-cost experience.
Customers are more sure about digital
payment and need more different ways of
payment.

 Social media changed our relationships and marketing forever. People use Social
networks every day to connect with friends, for jobs, shop, and have fun.
 Social networks helped to develop advertising and marketing a lot last years.
 According to Dave Chaffey, more than half of the world now uses social media (58.4%).
4.62 billion people worldwide use social media, and 424 million new users have come
online within the last 12 months. The average daily time spent using social media is 2h
27m.
 Last year, we can see that people have used chat networks and video channels more
than ever. Platforms like YouTube, Tik Tok and WhatsApp stand in the front of rank lists.

Summary
I call the Internet the “Game- changer” in our life because our lives would have never been
like now if the Internet wasn’t born. The technology world and the Internet have many
horizons, and people only can be happy and excited about that. Technologies can be our
promising future if they are in good hands. We can see the history, and overall, they
provided more benefits for humanity. We need to appreciate the opportunities we have
because of the creation of the Internet.
The creation of the Internet, the design of digital devices such as smartphones, computers
and tablets lead to existing online businesses, social platforms, digital marketing,
advertising, contactless relation between people, improvement of transports services, and
easy way to find everything fast.

  • 3. “Game-changer” The Internet is a "game-changer" in people's evolution. It was officially born on 1st January 1983. From 1983 till now, the Internet has evolved a lot and changed the lives of humanity. There are several turning points in Internet evolution that lead to the current impact on our lives. The first one is the creation of the World Wide Web (WWW). Companies such as Amazon, eBay, Hotmail, PayPal, Google also created their websites till 1999. Then social networks like Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedln and the creation of mobile devices like iPhones, tablets and smartwatches transform our lives forever.
  • 4. Access to Internet  There were 4.66 billion active internet users worldwide in January 2021. Of this total, 92.6 percent (4.32 billion) accessed the internet via mobile devices.   • 14. What customers buy online? Online shopping has been growing fast in the last few years. According to Maryam Mohsin, one of the reasons online shopping has grown so much over the years is the experience businesses can provide to their customers.

  • 18. Online video consumption Video content has been growing last years. By 2022, online videos will make up more than 82% of all consumer internet traffic — 15 times higher than it was in 2017 (Cisco).
  • 19. As of 2020, 83.3% of internet users in the US accessed digital video content (Statista)
  • 20. Interesting facts are that studies show that 54% of consumers want to see more video content from a brand or business they support (HubSpot, 2018) and 86% of businesses use video as a marketing tool — up from 63% over the last three years (Wyzowl)
  • 21. Customer’s trends  The Internet created online businesses and changed the customers’ habits and behaviours about shopping and services.  The Internet changed the payment habits of customers.  The internet changed the communication between people.
  • 22. Online shopping and services Customers’ habits grew up with the digital evolution. Last three years, customers’ behaviours changed a lot. Because of the pandemic, customers started to use more digital services. Therefore online businesses are growing every single day.
  • 23. According to Oberlo, online shoppers have been growing over the past few years. In 2021, there were 900 million more digital buyers than there were in 2020—a 4.4 % year-over-year increase.
  • 24. The payment trends Digital payment is essential nowadays. People have started using different payment methods because of the growing world of technology and online shopping. Digital payments are seen as a quick, hassle-free, no-cost experience. Customers are more sure about digital payment and need more different ways of payment.

  • 27.  Social media changed our relationships and marketing forever. People use Social networks every day to connect with friends, for jobs, shop, and have fun.  Social networks helped to develop advertising and marketing a lot last years.  According to Dave Chaffey, more than half of the world now uses social media (58.4%). 4.62 billion people worldwide use social media, and 424 million new users have come online within the last 12 months. The average daily time spent using social media is 2h 27m.  Last year, we can see that people have used chat networks and video channels more than ever. Platforms like YouTube, Tik Tok and WhatsApp stand in the front of rank lists.

  • 29. Summary I call the Internet the “Game- changer” in our life because our lives would have never been like now if the Internet wasn’t born. The technology world and the Internet have many horizons, and people only can be happy and excited about that. Technologies can be our promising future if they are in good hands. We can see the history, and overall, they provided more benefits for humanity. We need to appreciate the opportunities we have because of the creation of the Internet. The creation of the Internet, the design of digital devices such as smartphones, computers and tablets lead to existing online businesses, social platforms, digital marketing, advertising, contactless relation between people, improvement of transports services, and easy way to find everything fast.
