How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.

Balance Score Card Assignment A Balanced Scorecard can be defined as a performance
management tool which began as a concept for measuring whether the smaller scale operational
activities of a company are aligned with its larger scale objectives in terms of vision and
strategy (Wikipedia 2009, В¶ 1). Scents Things will need to develop a balanced scorecard that
will assist in meeting and help define the company s values, mission, vision, and SWOT analysis.
The balance scorecard is made up of four perspectives; financial, customer, learning and growing,
and internal process. This paper will define each of the four perspectives objectives, performance
measures, targets, and initiatives. The paper will also show how the perspectives relate... Show

Internal Process Perspective The main goal when defining the internal process perspective was
to answer the following question To satisfy our customers, at which processes must we excel
(BSI 2009, В¶5). Scents things strategic goals should be developed in a way that will internally
meet the customer s needs and satisfaction. All strategic goals should be defined with the purpose
of keeping the company running smoothly and in a way that will help to achieve the promises
being made in the mission and vision statement. The strategic goals for Scents things are to
improve business processes and efficiencies, acquire additional services and business options,
and improve marketing of store and the marketing of the products and services. These strategic
objectives should be monitored on a daily basis to ensure an overall satisfactory outcome for the
company. The best way for Scents Things to ensure this is to create a set of performance tools that
will measure the objective to ensure that they are being achieved. The company needs to decrease
the number of duplicate products or services being offered, monitor the revenue being earned from
new programs, orders are being received on time, increase in products and services being purchased

4. William Wordsworth Syntactic And Semantic Features
The Syntactic and semantic Features In the first stanza, the poet introduces the attractive and
striking grove where he enjoys nature and at the same time also has sad thoughts . The second
stanza explains why there are sad thoughts . The reason is because nature linked human soul to her
fair works, and the soul run through me and the thoughtof what man has made of man makes me
grief. Wordsworth draws the phrase to her fair works from the last of sentence to the first, which
emphasizes the fair works of nature.
We already mentioned that Wordsworth speaks highly of nature, here through the syntactical
deviation, we can see how Wordsworth appreciates and enjoys nature s beauty and harmony. The
next deviation appears in the third ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They hopped and played. Here again the poet uses personification to show how the birds are in
accord with nature and how happy they are. Now let s pay more attention to the second line Their
thoughts I cannot measure . In ordinary life, we usually will express it in this way I cannot measure
their thoughts . The object their thoughts is marked. On the one hand, it shows once again
Wordsworth likes to put nature in the first place.
On the other hand, it is coherent with the whole stanza, because the focus is on the birds. If
putting I in the first, then the coherence will not be so good. The fifth stanza is devoted to the
budding twigs . Personification is used again. We see the twigs spread out their fan to catch the air
and the twigs must be in pleasure as well. In these three stanzas, the flowers, birds and twigs are all
personified and they are all greatly pleasant in the harmonious natural world.
The sixth stanza comes back to the sad thoughts of the poet. After the descriptions of the beauty
and harmony of nature, when we think again what man has made of man , we cannot but lament.
The sorrow here reaches its climax. So here the poet uses a rhetorical question Have I not reason to
lament/ what man has made of man? to show his powerful feelings.

6. Advantages And Disadvantages Of Histogram Equalization
Contrast Enhancement:
3.3.1 Histogram equalization
This method usually increases the global contrast of many images, especially when the usable data
of the image is represented by close contrast values. Through this adjustment, the intensities can be
better distributed on the histogram. This allows for areas of lower local contrast to gain a higher
contrast. Histogram equalization accomplishes this by effectively spreading out the most frequent
intensity values.
The method is useful in images with backgrounds and foregrounds that are both bright or both dark.
In particular, the method can lead to better views of bone structure in x ray images, and to better
detail in photographs that are over or under exposed. A key advantage of the method is that it is a
fairly straightforward technique and an invertible operator. So in theory, if the histogram
equalization function is known, then the original histogram can be recovered. The calculation is
not computationally intensive. A disadvantage of the method is that it is indiscriminate. It may
increase the contrast of background noise, while decreasing the usable signal.
In scientific imaging where spatial correlation is more important than intensity of signal (such as
separating DNA fragments of quantized length), the small signal to noise ... Show more content on

Also histogram equalization can produce undesirable effects (like visible image gradient) when
applied to images with low color depth. For example, if applied to 8 bit image displayed with 8
bit gray scale palette it will further reduce color depth (number of unique shades of gray) of the
image. Histogram equalization will work the best when applied to images with much higher color
depth than palette size, like continuous data or 16 bit gray scale

neighborhood is sediments. Sediments forms when rocks and soil erode or weather. About 5.2
million tons of sediment enter the bay every year. When it rains, those sediments are carried to the
bay by runoff. Because of the small size, the particles float on the surface of water and often travel
long distances during rainstorms. When there are too many of these sediments, the water

8. How Poliomyelitis Is A Contagious And Aggressive Virus
Poliomyelitis is a highly contagious and aggressive virus which attacks motor neurones attached
to the spinal chord and brainstem. There is no cure for Polio however there is a vaccine which
contains a mixture of live and weakened strains of the three types of polio; Bulbar polio, spinal
polio and bulbospinal polio. Poliomyelitisis an aggressive viruswhich is able to pass through the
three line of defence. It is passed through the first line by the faecal/oral route and enters the
bloodstream. It invades the T and B cells which are activated in the innate immune systemand is
fought by the antibodies in the stage of the Adaptive immune system, where symptoms are already
exposed. In order to eradicate Polio more accessible treatment in developing countries as well as
better sanitation is needed.
Poliomyelitis, or Polio is a highly contagious disease caused by the Polio virus, which can affect
the spinal cord and brainstem. Although 90 95 % of who are acutely affected by Polio are
Asymptomatic, 5 10% experience mild symptoms such as a head ache, fever, fatigue, throat pain
and stomach pain and 0.5 % experience muscle symptoms such as muscle weakness, muscle
spasming/twitching, loss of muscle tone and complete loss of movement in muscles. If the virus

The law of conservation of mass states that mass cannot created or destroyed but how did this law
come to be. Well the ancient Greeks proposed that the total amount of matter in the universe is
constant. But the law was first confirmed in about 1785 by Antoine Lavoisier when he weighed his
reactants before the reaction and after the reaction and they weighed the same. We can still perform
this experiment and see that Lavoisier s conclusion was true.
You may be wondering who Lavoisier is well to start off he was a scientist. LAvoisier was a
revolutionary when it came to chemistry, for one he named the elements carbon, hydrogen, and
oxygen. Even with all of his great achievements and ideas he almost didn t get into the world of
science. His father encouraged him to do the same as he become a lawyer and Lavoisier listened
and got his degree but realized that he rather be doing science. If it wasn t for his want for science
we could have been left without some major ideas and discoveries that are important in today. ...

10. What Is The Most Tragic Events Of The 1960 s
The 1960 s marked a period of tragic events in the United States. It was a period of sorrow and

and the hatred between each other. For instance, Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated in 1968,
Malcolm X in 1965 and the president John F Kennedy in 1963 among others (Felber, 2015). The
most tragic event that had a huge impact was the assassination of the president. It happened on
November 23rd in 1963 sometime in the afternoon when a bullet lodged in his head and neck.

Water pollution is a very big and serious problem. Most pollution comes from land.Next,When big
parts of the land are plowed, the soil can runoff into our water, carrying with it agricultural
fertilizers and pesticides.Building too close to the water is bad because it does way more pollution
than we think.Last, there is a lot of evidence to support my claims.
Most pollution comes from land. Did you realize that polluted water might even be a problem in
your own home, even if you live in a city with treated water supplies? First of all, sadly water
pollution is in our homes when the government treats out water they are actually putting harmful
chemicals in the water to clean it. The problem is that normal degradation leaves particles that can
still be harmful to living things nanoparticles and microparticles,In addition, plastic is not
biodegradable well it takes 10,000 years for one water bottle to biodegrade so it last very long and
for that times it will continue to harm many animals. Water pollution is a major contributor to
declining health and wellbeing of animals, plants, ecosystems, and even human beings in the United
States and in the rest of the world. As you can see, most pollution comes from land for example
plastic comes from factories then ends up in the ocean.

12. The Importance Of The Statue Of Liberty
Annually, approximately four million people will visit the Statue of Liberty (Productions, Mixit).
The monument holds many meanings; a symbol of Franco American alliance, freedom, and liberty
(LLC, Shea Media.). Lady Liberty, and many other monuments, are held in high regard and beloved
by the American people. But how did this monument, and others, come to be? The idea of
monumentalizing an event or person isn t as straightforward as it sounds. While some people may
think the process is easy, many factors need to be taken into consideration. There are four main
factors that should be considered in the process of building a monument: The worthiness of the
event or person being considered for monumentalization, the location of the proposed monument,
and the materials and process of making the monument.
Arguably, the most important aspect of creating a monument is the worthiness of the person or
event in consideration of becoming a monument. While it is hypothetically possible to create a
monument to anything, some of the nation s greatest monuments, including the Martin Luther
King Jr. Memorial, 9/11 Memorial, and the Lincoln Memorial, were created because the subjects
were carefully vetted and deemed worthy. It is hard to find a citizen of the United States that feels
the 9/11 attacks do not deserve a memorial, however, there are many monuments today that are up
for debate, and most likely should ve had more consideration of the subject before they were
erected. Recent

13. The Impact Of World War On The World
After four long years of detrimental war, Eastern Europe s power and importance in the world
began to decline. World War 1 took a toll on the population and economy of many Eastern
European nations. Prior to the first World War, most of Eastern Europe was controlled by two great
powers, Germany and Russia. Germany had control over many Eastern European countries such as
Lithuania, Estonia, and Latvia. However, a year after the first World War ended, Germany came to
an agreement with the Allied powers and formed The Treaty of Versailles which changed Europe s
Geography tremendously. Poland and Russia gained some of Germany s territory, while
Czechoslovakia, Romania, Hungary, and the northern portion of Yugoslavia became official
countries. After World War 1, some Eastern European nations were able to establish themselves as
independent countries while others remained dominated by dictatorship. One nation that was
successfully able to free itself from two of the major powers of the Great War was Finland. The
First World War allowed Finland to have a chance at claiming their independence as a growing
nation. In 1918, after the first World War had ended, Finland was able to settle a peace agreement
with Germany. They strengthened their ties with Northern European countries and maintained a

17. The Cost Of Living Is Increasing More And More Each Day
The cost of living is increasing more and more each day. Whether you are looking into
purchasing a new home or something as simple as buying gas for your vehicle, things are not as
inexpensive as they were a decade ago. One area I feel I absolutely must make every dollar of
my income count is groceries. When feeding myself, my husband, and four children my grocery
bill can get pretty steep if I don t find good deals. My ideal place for groceries are wholesale
stores, preferably Costco. Though many people prefer Sam s Club, another well known
wholesale store, I find that Costco offer s limited time sales and more healthy food choices. Sam
s Club started with a price advantage: Annual memberships are $45 and a shopping cart of 30
items rang up 7 percent lower than the total at Costco (321.43 vs $345.81). Conover (2015),

18. Why The Song Pumped Up Kicks
Would you ever think a song about killing people would ever be a top hit in the music industry?
Pumped Up Kicks , a popular song that debuted in 2011 by Foster the People is about a psychotic
individual who wants to get revenge on the rich people by killing them. Mark Foster, the leading
band member of Foster the People wrote Pumped Up Kicks to spread awareness about mental
illness. The meaning behind the songis deeper than what is actually said in the lyrics. The song is
precisely focusing on the growing trend of mental illness and how it has affected people through
the years. When writing this song Mark Foster got inside a psychotic individual s mind to get a
better understanding as to why they express their emotions by harming others. Changes should be
made in the coming years about mental illness because it s only going to get worse if people keep

and anger from past experiences of being an outsider. From reading and listening to this song it
seems that he has a negative view for the future and wants to eliminate the wealthy people. There
is no actual violence in the song, although in the person s internal mind they are threats. Because

poem to Atonement at the crucial point before the deaths of the characters Robbie and Cecilia

Comparison of: Political History and Development of Nursing Education between China and Poland
Chinese modern nursing started its evolution in the 1888 when the first formal hospital was opened
in the town of Fuzhou, located in the Fujian province. Chinese medicine has been molded by
numerous western initiatives from the missionary in the 19 century. Particularly, nursing schools
and missionary hospitals, this comprised of 32% of the complete nursing population in the country.
The American influence was profound since it was one of the principal in the region doing major
investments. Individual teachers and nursing professional were the key players in the realization of
the early modernization of nursing in the country. Foundations from America set up medical
facilities facilitating the increase in the spread of nursing in the country. Chinese modern nursing
edification saw an early start compared to the other countries. Politically the government of China
faced a period of nursing halt after the abolishment of the practice. When the government that
abolished the practice collapsed in 1977, the practice came back to normal but left a gap of 30
years deficit in practice and development of the nursing profession. Therefore, China s nursing
practice was significantly influenced by the political climate particularly the revolution. Ireland on

21. Analysis Of Queer
In the past decades, the word queer traversed many definitions, from a pejorative for gay to a self
affirming umbrella term. While the word queer is primarily associated with non normative
tendencies (Love 172), the word uncanny...applies to everything that was intended to remain secret,
hidden away, and has come into the open (Freud 132). Upon closer inspection of the words, queer
and uncanny, and Andrew Davenport s popular children s television show Teletubbies
, we see that
the Teletubbies are the exemplary, digital manifestations of queer, uncanny doppelgängers (Cole).
It is 2000. Sunday morning. I am 3. I wake up, pop out of bed, and sprint down the steps. Mom is
in the kitchen cooking a hot, delicious breakfast. I glide past her and turn on the TV. Patiently
waiting, I clutch my favorite toy: my Po doll. As I squeeze her, her stomach screen lights up.
The TV lights up too. I lift my head and see the familiar landscape of Teletubbyland, its rolling
hills and warm feelings. Mom walks over to me and sets down a plate of hot sausages, eggs, and
bacon. But I cannot see her. I only see bright, warm colors. I only see Po, emerging from the
Superdome. I only see Po s welcoming eyes.
To say the least Teletubbies is an incredibly entertaining television show. In each thirty minute

smiling face of a baby on the sun, come out from their Tubbytronic Superdome, and eat pink

22. Essay on Two Part of the United States Reconstruction Era
In the United States history, the Reconstruction Era had two senses. From 1865 to 1877 was the
first, which involved the post Civil War action. The second sense, focused on the transformation of
the Southern United States from 1863 to 1877 with the Congress directing the issue of
reconstruction of state and society ( Reconstruction Era ). Frederick Jackson Turner argued that the
frontier was the chief determinant in American history ( Frederick Jackson Turner ). Both the
Reconstruction impact and Frederick Jackson Turner s thesis play a role in the environment during
the Economic Revolution.

Reconstruction had achieved much despite its obvious weaknesses. Schools that were built to
provide education for both blacks and poor whites, the roads constructed, the protection given to
life, an property were all indeed major achievements of the government (Pink Monkey).
Frederick Jackson Turner had a thesis that also provided the environment for the Economic
Revolution. He thesis accounted for why the people of America and the American government
were so divergent from their European equivalents. There were many people that believed that the
frontier s end symbolized the start of a new stage in American life. These people also believed that
America must expand over seas. There were others that had views of this exposition as the drive
for a new wave in the history of Untied States imperialism (Frontier Thesis).
A man named William Appleman Williams, who led the Wisconsin School of diplomatic historians,
argued that the frontier thesis encouraged American expansion overseas. Williams had viewed
Turner s frontier thesis as a way to influence action against totalitarianism, advocate democracy
through both of the world wars, and affirm the spending on foreign aid. However, Frederick
Jackson Turner s thesis, in comparison to Theodore Roosevelt s work, The Winning of the West, a
greater emphasis was placed not on territorial subjugation, but on the evolution of American
republicanism (Frontier Thesis).

The poverty in Ireland makes many people suffer by the inability of paying for food. In the

entirely; on the other hand, hunger can also stimulate human s abilities. This is demonstrated
through the attitude of hopelessness in the McCourt s family when face to surviving and Frank
s motivation of escaping Ireland. Firstly, Frank s mother was disheartened by the delay of the
paychecks arrival from her husband in England. Angela s attitude towards hope becomes
hopeless; then she decided to smoke. Frank then observes and states, Mam turns toward the dead

1991. After Ishmael s home village of Mogbwemo was attacked by rebels he was separated from
his family, forcing him to flee. Without a home or a family to take care of him, Ishmael then
spent months wandering with a group of other boys who had been displaced by the war. While
taking refuge in a village protected by the government army, Ishmael was forced to fight for the
government against the rebels which ultimately ended up lasting for almost 3 years. In 1996,

Life changed for Ishmael in January 1996, when UNICEF aid workers took him and other child
soldiers to a rehabilitation center in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leone. Although hesitant at
first, Ishmael eventually began to trust the workers and took a special liking to Esther, a nurse
who played an integral role in his rehabilitation. By September of 1996, Ishmael was
rehabilitated and was speaking in front of the UN where he discussed the effects of war on
children and shared his story. Returning to Sierra Leone, Ishmael stayed with his last living
relative, uncle Tommy which is short lived as the rebels invade Freetown and shortly after uncle
Tommy dies after contacting a fever. Fearing that if he stayed he would join the army, Ishmael
fled to the neighbouring Guinea so he could get a flight to the United States where he would
stay with Laura Simms, a story teller he met while at the UN and who would end up adopting
him. Analysis There are two major structural conditions which ultimately led to Ishmael
becoming a child soldier which are the nature of war and poverty. During times of war there is
no escaping the violence and uncertainty that follows it. Ishmael is a prime example of this as the
nature of war heavily contributed to him becoming a child soldier. This is first seen when Ishmael

With the exploding population of senior citizens occurring at this time, we are seeing a
commensurate explosion in health problems with are causing a taxing burden on the health care
system. Health conditions such as high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, kidney failure and
others are expensive to treat, and oftentimes they are fatal. However, diet is a major contributor
to many of these problems. The Veggies (and Fruits!) for Seniors Health Promotion Project is
designed to bring to the attention of seniors the need to consume a diet high in fruits and
vegetables as part of an overall healthy lifestyle. This summary will quantify the problem,
provide an outline of the Veggies (and Fruits!) for Seniors program, along with cooperating
partners, and propose objectives that should be accomplished once this project is executed. The
senior population continues to grow much faster than it has in any generation in the history of the
United States. According to the U.S. Bureau of the Census (2008), the anticipated growth of the
population 60 and over in the U.S. is expected to grow from just under 55 million in the 2010
census to 72 million in the 2020 census. This represents a 13% increase in the aging population in

29. Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell
Everyone aims to fulfill the American Dream, achieving prosperity through hard work. Society
loves the ideology that anyone can become successful and that we all have the same opportunities
and chance of success, if enough work is applied. With this ideal, people can blame their failure on
not working hard enough or having an adverse life. However, Malcolm Gladwellsees success in
contrast to the common people. Gladwell believes that success is mainly caused by having the
right opportunity and circumstances rather than by working hard. David Karp, founder of the
international social networking site Tumblr, is an individual who embodies Gladwell s
phenomenon by having extended advantages that were rare among his peers and having a
supportive, relatable lineage that not only lead him to success, but also makes him an Outlier.
In Outliers, Gladwell discusses a theory named The 10,000 Hour Rule that proposes the 10,000
hours is the specific amount it time it takes for someone to become a master at a skill. The quote
Practice isn t the thing you do once you re good. It s the thing that makes you good (Gladwell,

extended advantages not offered to other high school students by being homeschooled at a young

30. Gender Inequalities And Gender Inequality
Gender inequalities have been around since the beginning of time, and it has been a long and
bumpy road to achieve the amount of equality that we have today. Still everyday women have the
risk of being discriminated against for simply being women. Depending on where these women live,
what the predominate culturein the area is, and the amount of education that is allowed affects their
risk of being discriminated against and the severity of the act itself. Discriminationcan be displayed
in forms such as segregation, wage gap, harassment and many more. Abusive practices, against
women happen daily and can be justified through cultural practices but never can justify depriving
a person s basic human rights. Many cultures carry some sort of female discrimination inside of
their rudimentary values ranging from a girl s access to education to a woman s right to drive or
even be considered a citizen within her own state. In contrast, these cultural practices many times
are not seen as harsh genderinequality to some women of such culture. Many of these practices
haven t taken place for thousands of years and are no longer seen as discriminatory, but as
general everyday events that should be practiced to maintain a healthy balance in her own culture.

inequalities that take place inside their everyday life. The women who are educated rarely are

Principles of War
September 18th 2016
Background to the Classic Works of Strategy from Sun Tsu to Jomini
Rousseau (2011) defines strategy as a link connecting military power and political purpose. He
emphasizes that strategy entails the use of threat and force to achieve policy objectives. Given
the unfortunate centrality of war to world events, strategy becomes a significant aspect in
providing a theory of success. The perennial popularity of books on military and application of
works of wisdom in the use of force today is unequivocal. Particularly, books that generally focus
of the theory of strategy, studies with varied meanings for all purposes, technologies, places, and
times are increasingly rare. In the past 2,400 years, only 3 classic works are significant on this
subject and no more than five have an enduring value (Rousseau, 2011). Sun Tzu s classic work on
The Art of Waris one such classic works basing on strategic theory that has implications for all
purposes, places, times, and technologies. Sun Tzu wrote his book in China in ca. 400 BC during
the era of Warring States, 403 221 BC (Rousseau, 2011, p. 79). Henri de Jomini s The Art of War

A Historical Critique of Homosexual Exclusions from the Armed Forces using the concepts of
Michel Foucault
From 1989 to 1999, the time period of the Clinton Administration, a homosexual force entered the
American consciousness. Court cases and rhetoric of the 80s incited a discourse in which
homosexuality was re articulated, re negotiated, and unmistakably re repressed (Davis 3). Supreme

theories of sexuality and power expressed in the philosophies of Michel Foucault.

Foucault saw the importance of the matter to lie in how the discourse on sexuality in our culture
has paradoxically produced repression.
Repression in modern society is a complex process. Foucault s work divides pre modern sexual acts
from modern sexual identities and sexualities (Lochrie 86). Foucault explained that the discussion
of sexuality itself was restricted in a few areas. After the eighteenth century he noted an institutional
incitement to speak about [sex]... a determination on the part of the agencies of power to hear it
spoken about, and to cause it to speak through explicit articulation and endlessly accumulated detail
(18). This proliferation of discourse had the effect of increasing encroachment of state law onto the
issue of private sexuality.
Foucault s analysis was considered radical. This aspect of societal repression and subsequent
obsession plays an important role in understanding the reactionary political movements concerning
homosexuals in the military. This will be examined after a discussion of the functions of sexuality
and power.
In The History of Sexuality, this examination also focused on the functions of sexuality and power.

36. Energy Resources And Nonrenewable Resources
Despite only being around for around two hundred thousand years, humanity has accomplished
many great tasks. Humans have been able to conquer most of the land on Earth. They have been
able to find ways to travel across huge landscapes in a matter of hours. They have developed ways
to grow and harvest their own food through agriculture. Humans even were able to send people into
space. Despite these accomplishments, they have all come at a great cost. Humans had to deforest
many areas in order to be able to live in those places. Almost all of the modern transportation relies
on the nonrenewable resource that is fossil fuels. As the population has grown, bigger farms were
made that consume loads of water. Due to these costs, the greatest threat to human sustainability is
our reliance on nonrenewable energy and resources. In order to shift from this path, humanity must
continue to move away from nonrenewable energy and develop renewable energy, and convince
businesses that this path is profitable. In the current system, the greatest threat to the survival of
humanity is the over reliance on nonrenewable energy resources. What generally comes to mind
with nonrenewable resources is fossil fuels, however trees and water can also be applied in this
situation. When the topic is about deforestation, some would argue that trees can grow back
making them a renewable resource. However, at the rate people are cutting them, the trees do not

Freedom is overrated
Imagine a world where laws and rules were never in place. Citizens would run rampant and people
would commit crimes without any consequence for their actions. Now imagine a world where
freedom was non existent. Everyone s actions and behaviors would coincide with one another, as if
they were robots. Straying from the extremes, H. L. Mencken an American writer wrote that the
average man would rather be safe than free. To completely understand his statement, you must
look at a specific word. The average man. H. L. Mencken is right because people would rather
have laws to protect themselves, people want to live comfortable lives, and the people who diverge
from what society tends to do are more than the average person.
In America, and a large majority of countries, you are born with a little bit of freedom. Freedom
is offered in schools and homes. Once people grow up, and earn their freedom, they are allowed
to roam the streets and say what they want to say and do what they want to do. But with
freedom, there must be laws. Laws prevent people from stepping across the line and hurting
others. These laws aren t to make our government appear more superior than its citizens, but to
provide protection and safety for its people. With this safety, people sacrifice some of their
freedom. People still retain a large amount of freedom, but some must be given over for the sake of

38. A New Paradigm For Power Generation And Transmission
MicroGrids: A New Paradigm for Power Generation and Transmission
Motivations behind the emerging concept of the MicroGrid
The emerging concept of MicroGrids or SmartGrids is aimed at changing the paradigm of the
conventional power system in order to meet various challenges facing modern day society. To
understand why the shift in paradigm is necessary, it is important to have a firm knowledge of the
layout of conventional power systems as well as the energy challenges facing our society. A high
level example of a conventional power system is shown in figure 1.
Figure 1. Conventional power system configuration [1].
Conventionally our electricity has been generated by a low number of large power stations. These
power stations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Greenhouse gas emissions have been identified as the main cause of global warming, which is
having a devastating effect on our eco system. Historically the majority of conventional large scale
power stations have been utilising the combustion of fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas or
petroleum to generate electricity, which acts as a large source of greenhouse gas emissions. From
the 2014 UK electricity flowchart, figure 2, it can be seen that the majority of electricity generation
is driven by fossil fuels leading to the release of vast quantities of greenhouse gas emissions into the
atmosphere and, as a consequence, heavily contributing towards climate change.
Figure 2. DUKES UK 2014 Electricity flowchart [2].
With the aim of combating climate change there is a desire to increase the penetration of renewable
generation in the UK network at both transmission and distribution level. The introduction of
renewable generation into the network presents numerous technical challenges due its inherent
intermittency. For example, if a large scale wind farm is connected to the transmission network
and the wind speed is approximately 28ms creating a 1GW output. Suddenly the wind speed
rapidly increases above the cut off wind speed of 25ms, causing the entire wind farm to shut down.
This sudden loss of generation could potentially cause an unacceptable frequency deviation and lead
to a

40. A Vibrant Banking System
A vibrant banking system is essential for any economy striving to achieve growth and stability
in a competitive global business environment. The best indicator for the health of the banking
industry in a country is its level of Non performing assets (NPAs). NPAs are one of the major
concerns for banks in India. It reflects the performance of banks. Reduced NPAs generally give
the impression that banks have strengthened their credit appraisal processes over the years and
growth in NPAs involves the necessity of provisions, which bring down the over all profitability
of banks. The Indian banking sector is facing a serious problem of NPA. The magnitude of NPA is
comparatively higher in public sectors banks. To improve the efficiency and... Show more content

41. The Battle Of Gettysburg At Gettysburg
Over the last 153 years Gettysburg, has moved from honoring those who fought and died during the
battle at Gettysburg to preserve the battlefield. Gettysburg went through two phases of change. The
first phase happened between 1863 1938 and the second phase happened in 1938 when the War
Department transferred the administration of Gettysburg to the National Park Service. During the
first phase the National Cemetery was built in Gettysburg for the creation of a proper burial of
their now dead sons, brothers, and husbands. David Wills, a local attorney, purchased twelve
acres on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the creation of a proper burial of their
now dead sons, brothers, or husbands. Wills selected the high ground of Cemetery Hill, a key
piece of terrain that had figured prominently as part of the union battle line. After the National
Cemetery was built a veteran of the Union Army and now New York Representative Daniel E.
Sickles introduced a bill to congress. On December 06, 1984 Daniel Sickles, introduced H.R.
8096 with little debate on February 11, 1895 Congress approved an act to establish a National
Military Park at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Popularly called the Sickles Bill, this legislation
established the federal park boundary at 3,331.5 acres. The Gettysburg BattlefieldMemorial
Association (GBMA) deeded its 522 acres to the federal government, which this formally
established Gettysburg National Military as the fourth Civil War battlefield
