2. WHAT IS PLANE?
Planes define the three dimensional space, volumes of
mass. Planes consist of shapes, size, color and textures.
Also the spatial relationship of one to another. It also
determine the attributes of visuals of the form they define
and the qualities of the space they enclose. A line extended
in a direction other than its intrinsic direction becomes a
plane. Conceptually, a plane has length and width, but no
depth. Shape is the primary identifying characteristic of a
plane. In the composition of a visual construction, a plane
serves to define the limits or boundaries of a volume.

3. CHARACTERSITICS OF PLANE
• A plane is a flat, two-dimensional surface that extends in finitely far.
• A plane has length and width but no depth.
• In the composition plane serves to define the limit and boundary of
a volume.
• A line stretched out toward a path other than its regular heading turns
into a plane.
• Thoughtfully, a plane has length and width, yet no profundity.
• Two parallel lines have the ability to describe the plane.
• A Transparent spatial membrane can be stretched between them to
acknowledge their visual relationship.
• Closer these lines are stronger the sense of plane.

4. TYPES OF PLANE
1.Base Plane: The base plane can be either the ground plane that
serves as the physical foundation and visual base for building forms,
or the floor plane that forms the lower enclosing surface of a room
upon which we walk.
2.Wall Plane: The wall plane, because of its vertical orientation, is
active in our normal field of vision and vital to the shaping and
enclosure of architectural space. The divider plane, on account of its
Vertical direction, is dynamic in our ordinary field of vision and
imperative to the forming and nook of design space.
3.Overhead Plane: The overhead plane can be either the roof plane
that spans and shelters the interior spaces of a building from the
climatic elements, or the ceiling plane that forms the upper enclosing
surface of a room.
