The Goals Of A College Curriculum
The Manner in which Takaki Brings about the Goals of a College Curriculum There are a significant
number of goals that are essential for a college curriculum. In order to be a successful student in
college, a college curriculum gives individuals an opportunity to explore themselves and the people
around them, and it also shows them how to be independent so that they can be able to cope and
successfully accomplish these goals to prepare themselves for their future lives. For example, skills,
such as discipline, creative skills, confidence, accountability, perseverance, responsibility, flexibility,
and independence will very much help one to be able to successfully work at a job. As a result, the
person will make money to provide for his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
According to Jonathan Brennan, professor of English at Mission College, through A Different Mirror
and the history of these people that helped shape American history, students can have a more accurate
understanding of who they are and where they have come from. First and foremost, there are two
particular chapters in this book that have greatly helped me in reaching these goals of a college
curriculum. For instance, in chapter nine, called The Indian Question , Takaki addresses the terrifying
acts that were placed upon the Indians. After reading this very unfamiliar and uncomfortable chapter,
it has, in reality, greatly changed my thinking patterns. For example, I became completely shocked and
horrified of all the cruelties that many different races did to each other, for they would brutally and
mercilessly kill women, children, and even babies. One of the Indians who was in the midst of the
chaos and catastrophe said, My son who was two years old was shot in the mouth that later caused his
death (Takaki 230). As a result, I became very skeptical on what the English at that time were trying to
accomplish, for they actually caused great harm and distress. I also was in the process of critical
thinking because I just could not comprehend why the English took these bizarre and horrendous
actions. I thought to

Essay about Salman Rushdie’s Idea of Women in The Satanic...
In Salman Rushdie s novel The Satanic Verses Rushdie tells a story about two men, Saladin Chamcha
and Gibreel Farishta, oddly connected by the fact that they both survive the hijacking of their aircraft.
Throughout the novel, Gibreel has powerful dreams in which the narrator brings up the topic of the
Satanic Verses. The Satanic Verses were supposedly verses that Muhammad said were part of the
Quran and then were later revoked. The Verses allegedly said that Allah was not the only god and that
there were three slightly lesser female deities. It is believed that the Satanic Verses were removed from
the Quran because they accepted females as divine. In The Satanic Verses women are portrayed as evil
or tainted because they stray men from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the course of the novel, Rushdie uses the narrator, whom we assume to be Satan himself, to
illustrate to the reader why women are more inclined to not follow the strict rules of Islam, and instead
stray towards to devil because of better quality of life promised with the devil as opposed to the
demeaning and shameful life they lead in the religion of Islam. In the Mahound chapter of The Satanic
Verses, the narrator tells the story of Ibrahim and his wife and son, Hagar and Ismail. He took them to
a waterless wilderness (96) where he abandoned them, but before he left Hagar asked him Can this be
God s will? (96), and Ibrahim replied that it was. The narrator says that men have always used God as
an excuse to mistreat women in their lives and then goes off on a tangent thinking to himself Small
wonder, then, that women have turned to me (96). This is where the reader can make the inference that
the narrator is Satan because women are turning to him and away from God and religion. They feel as
though they are treated better by the devil rather than God because the men in Islamic societies always
justify the horrible things they do to women by saying it is indeed God s will. Later on in the book in
the chapter A City Visible but Unseen Rushdie again shows the favoritism of males over females.
When Hind gives birth to her second daughter, Anahita, she is so upset that she only has two girls that

How Do I Explain Behaviour.
Lecture How do we explain behavior
Behaviour generally refers to actions or reactions (an activity or response of some kind) of an object
or organism usually in relation to the environment or surrounding world of stimuli. Behaviour can be
conscious or unconscious, overt or covert, voluntary or involuntary, sometimes it can be common,
unusual, acceptable, or outside acceptable limits. The acceptability of behavior is evaluated relative to
social norms and regulated by various means of social control.
Insight into human behavior comes from both scientific and non scientific investigations. The
knowledge obtained through the senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell) and experiences is non
scientific. The knowledge acquired through this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Political scientists study international relationships, the workings of government, and the exercise of
power and authority.
Psychologists investigate personality and individual behaviour.
Sociologists focus on the influence society has on people s attitudes and behaviour and the ways in
which people shape society. They scientifically examine human social relationships.
PSYCHOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR
Psychology is an academic and applied field that is often defined as the scientific study of mental
processes and behavior. Psychologists want to understand every aspect of behavior (humans and
organisms) therefore they explore the unknown world of nature through the use of scientific methods
which eliminate bias and opinion and provide convincing evidence.
Other methods of obtaining knowledge such as intuitions and personal experiences, logical deductions
and common sense or pronouncements of authority figures are not accepted by scientists. These
sources of knowledge rely on opinions or beliefs that others may disagree with, or may be created by
someone who is biased or wrong. The scientific study of psychology is especially geared towards
learning about an organism s behavior by observing and studying that behaviour, while minimizing the
influences of bias or opinion.
Psychology differs from sociology, anthropology, economics, and political science in part because it
involves studying the mental processes and behavior of individuals (alone or in

Feminism In African Feminism
According to Naomi Nkealah who considers diverse streams of African feminisms as something
which strive to create a new, liberal, productive and self reliant African woman within the
heterogeneous cultures of Africa. Feminisms in Africa, ultimately, aim at modifying culture as it
affects women in different societies. Thus taking the multifarious nature of African experience into
consideration, African Feminisms explore the possibilities of embracing the magnitude of their
collective experiences. Assorted patterns of feminisms, that deviate from the conceptual equations of
(western) feminism and construed after indigenous models emerged in African backdrop such as
Womanism, Stiwanism, Nego feminism, Motherism, Femalism and Snail sense feminism. Being
indigenous blueprints these variegated modes were attempts to demarcate African female at the centre
of entire contentions and to explore in the cultural chronicles for material to initiate further
elaboration. For Adichie the label feminist is not something derogatory but an umbrella where every
woman should find shelter in. Adichie s pronouncements are completely against the preconceived
notions on gender are not meaningful but (universally) arbitrary. In We All Shall Be Feminists she
says: But that is not what this conversation is about. Gender and class are different. Poor men still
have the privileges of being men, even if they do not have the privileges of being wealthy. I learned a

The Canadian Bar Association Was An Appropriate Intervener
As an intervener, I represent an outside agency who does not have direct and substantial interest in the
case at hand, but has a definite interest and perspectives that are essential to the case at bar. For the
respondent s, the Canadian Bar Association was an appropriate intervener for two reasons: the CBA
had a strong interest in the mandatory minimums within the impugned legislation and the perspective
of implementing an exemption would act as a good alternative to amending the legislation in case the
judiciary did not see good enough reason to dismiss the appeal. I will present an explanation for why
the CBA argued for an alternative to the mandatory minimum, how it relates to the submissions of the
respondents, and the reasoning behind the specific exemption clause submitted. Reasoning For
Arguing An Alternative to the Mandatory Minimum The Canadian Bar Association submitted to the
USCC that a s.1 and s.12 Charter analyses of the mandatory minimum penalty must include the
consideration of reasonable alternatives. S.1 and s.12 s Charter analyses are also relevant to the
arguments presented by my colleagues to better enforce their submissions about the s.12 Charter
violation and why the infringement cannot be saved by s.1 of the Charter. Section 12 Charter analysis
and relating to R v. Nur The CBA s submission regarding the criteria Lamer J. was used to bring up
another reason as to why there was a s.12 Charter violation. This added to the argument made my

Essay on Telecommunication Systems Used in My Workplace
Telecommunication Systems Used in My Workplace I work for a company called Techtronic

the world. The developed communication avenues have to venture over land and water to connect its
many operations together to maintain its delicate business fabric. Since there are so many facets of
communication facets needed, there has been great planning and skill poured into its network
telecommunication systems. I will focus primarily on the South Carolina location into which we have
many different telecommunication devices operating to create this system. The four areas I will

The product design department has its own series of computers set up in a without an intranet or
internet access point. They a have an interrelated system close to a star topology, but has external
transmission point. All of the terminals within the product design department can work with one
another, but there is not external access point to help maintain its level of security by eliminating the
chance for any confidential information from being leaked. Last but not least is the field personnel and
management team. This system gets a little more complicated because there are many devices at work.
There are stationary terminals, mobile terminals (laptops), smart phones (pocket pc), and intranet VPN
network. The mobile pocket pc s are designed to work with the email system as well as basic internet
applications. They are not able to connect to the VPN to access the company intranet. The stationary
terminals and laptops have the ability to access the VPN intranet as well as the basic email system. I
would have to associate this particular set up in alignment with an Mesh type of networking system.
The extended star topology seemed to have a similar set up if each section was broken down into its
own form. All of these systems funnel down into one hub, server access point to transmit the
information overseas to our main

Five Points Sociology
The Truth: Irish immigrants were driven to America by the potato famine of the 1840s. This caused a
massive influx of immigrants to New York City who were forced to settle for the cheapest and
shabbiest lodgings in a poorer area of the city, known as Five Points. These kinds of conditions
resulted in dirty, overcrowded spaces with relatively poor standards of living. Men typically worked at
a trade, what we would now consider blue collar, or working class jobs, to provide for their families.
Due to the fact that in this time, women were still not welcome in the workplace, many unmarried or
widowed women were forced to turn to prostitution in order to support themselves. Gangs were
formed to promote political candidates, and sometimes fought among themselves. There was also a
building known as the Old Brewery, where more than 1,000 people supposedly lived. It was torn down
in the 1850s so that the land could be used for a mission to do charity work. In the 1890s, Five Points
was converted to factories and public buildings, essentially ending the Irish occupation of the area.
The Civil War began in 1861 and lasted until 1865, covering the majority of the events in the movie.
In order to recruit enough ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The living conditions presented in the movie are an exaggeration of how most people actually lived,
and there wasn t as much crime and violence as the movie suggested. Although there were gangs that
fought periodically, they were mostly Irish, so there wasn t as much ethnic conflict as there was in the
movie. The gangs were formed to promote political candidates, which they did show in the film, but
they didn t fight for reasons other than politics, and their fights weren t as bloody. The Old Brewery
that the Dead Rabbits use as their headquarters was a real building, but it was torn down roughly ten
years before the events of the movie took place to be converted into a religious

Theme Of Gimpel The Fool
Herode Decius Professor Dr. Kathleen Tamayo Alves English 102PNT1 08 November 2017
Feeling a Sense of Acceptance and Belonging In the hierarchy of needs, belonging is introduced as a
necessity needed to survive, yet often overlooked by society. We develop our own set of values and
morals in which we conform. These values develop throughout our life cycle from childhood into
adulthood and varies from person to person by affiliations, religious beliefs and interactions with
groups we belong to. In, Isaac Bashevis Singer s Gimpel the fool, the author s use of heavy irony, the
author suggests that a sense of belonging can emerge from the connections made with people, places
and the larger world. It ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The narrator s description of himself presents a series of conflicts between how he views himself and
the society he lives in. To hint at that conflict, the author uses irony in a work, he has the character act
naïve and ignorant to create the wise character of Gimpel , I am Gimpel the fool. I don t think myself a
fool. On the contrary, But that s what folks call me (745). This illustrates a wise man that is well aware
of the label given to him but deliberately accepted it. It is also ironic when his wife, Erka, tells Gimpel
that he is the father of the child she had four months after their marriage, He seemed to accept her
explanation of the child being premature, but then admits, to tell the plain truth, I don t believe her...
but then, who really knows how such things are (749)? He continues, I believed them, and I hope that
did them some good (749). This shows at what length he d go through to feel accepted by his wife
despite what he had to endure from being cheated on to learning that the kids weren t his right before
her death. It also shows the reader, despite that Gimpel was being mistreated, he did not let that
influence on how he perceived himself as a person or changed his views and beliefs on the world;
other people s approach toward him and opinions did not matter. Instead of seeking revenge or
showing them that he is not a fool, he said, One can t pass through life unscathed (750). Through the
sadness, he had

Were Ancient Egyptians Really Alone Essay
Ancient egyptian aliens, the whole subject seems pretty far fetched but is it really as out there as we
think it is? Archaeologists find evidence regularly at famous egyptian landmarks of extraterrestrial
presence. So much infact that it has lead scientists to wonder, were the ancient egyptians really alone
in the desert? What put the egyptians so far ahead of the the rest of the world, with their structures and
technology? Recent discoveries are showing that they not only had control of advanced medicine, but
they also had a sophisticated social structure. Many places around the world have been shown with
this advancement, a more popular example would be Atlantis. With their advanced and highly valued
metals, Atlantis was a hotspot for cultural mixing. So if all of this happened and yet we still don t have

The Distribution And Mobilization Of A Groundwater Aquifer
Geochemistry plays an important role the distribution and mobilization of As in groundwater aquifer.
To find the influence of geochemical processes of As mobilization in groundwater of the study area,
the correlation matrix among As and various physio chemical parameter are given in Table 4. Pearson
correlation matrices show that various physio chemical parameters pairs of groundwater samples have
a significant positive correlations such as TDS EC (r = 1.000), TDS Na (r = 0.587), TDS Ca (r =
0.624), EC Na (r = 0.617), EC Ca (r = 0.618), Na Ca (r = 0.564), and K Mn (r = 0.566) respectively.
Similarly some pairs have also shown significant negative correlation such as Mg2+ HCO3 (r =
0.590), well depth Mn (r = 0.518). The concentration of As in groundwater has insignificantly
negative correlated to Fe (r= 0.260), Cl (r= 0.081) and SO42 (r= 0.062), while As has insignificantly
positive correlated to Mn (r=0.185), NO3 ( r=0.111), HCO3 (r=1777), pH (r=0.226), Na+ (r=0.223),
K+ (r=0.227), Ca2+ (r=0.262) and Mg2+ (r=0.199). In this study, an insignificant positive correlation
between As and Mn has observed, while an insignificant negative correlation between As and Fe has
existed in groundwater aquifer (Table 4). This finding is in good agreement with the earlier correlation

Stroke Population Report
Population Report on Individuals with Stroke The purpose of this report is to provide a brief overview
about stroke which includes describing the demographics, characteristics, and challenges of the
disease. Additionally, this report will explain current medical and educational issues, non music
therapy treatment trends, and current effective therapeutic interventions regarding stroke. Near the
end, a specific piece of information will be provided that the author of this report deems important for
music therapists to know.
Demographics, Characteristics, Challenges According to American Stroke Association (ASA), stroke
is a disease that affects the arteries that lead to the brain. A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that
carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a clot or bursts. As a result, part of the
brain cannot get the blood and oxygen it needs which causes brain cells to die (American Stroke
Association, n.d.). Depending on where the stroke occurs in the brain, the level/type of impairment
differs with the individual. For example, if a stroke occurs in the back of the brain, it is likely that
some disability involving vision will result. Overall, the effects of a stroke depend primarily on the
location of the obstruction and the extent of brain tissue affected (American Stroke Association, n.d.).
Additionally, the type of impairment will differ depending on the side of the brain the stroke occurred.
If the stroke occurred in the right side

Escapism In The Song Imagine It By MKTO
The world flight world view is about escapism. It s about how we need to leave this world behind to

here would be if we could change this or that they believe they can fix what is here on earth. The
world flight world view believes that to reach what we are really meant for we have to leave this
world behind and that the closes we can get to that perfection would be through a daydream. So in the

Patellar Lab Report Essay
Introduction There are two groups of reflexes in the human body, with two ways to categorize each of
them. Reflexes can either be inborn and connected through the nervous system, or they can be learned
through practice. Another way to explain a reflexive category would be autonomic reflexes or somatic
reflexes. Autonomic reflexes are those which are unaware to us and act on visceral organs of the body,
whereas somatic reflexes involve skeletal muscle stimulation. Both types of reflexes are put into effect
via the nervous system. (1)

At the same time the subject s patellar tendon was sharply tapped.
The final element that was tested against the baseline reflex was the influence of fatigue on the
strength of the reflex response. This was achieved by having the subject run up and down three levels
of stairs three times in the Frost building stairwell of Holyoke Community College. The subject
immediately came back to the original sitting position on the edge of the lab bench with legs dangling
freely, and the patellar tendon was tapped once more.
One subject was used, and was seated in the same position for each of the three tests performed.
Because the patellar reflex is immediate, a video was taken during each tap with the hammer to
visually compare the strength differences for each influence that was put into effect. This provided a
steady, unwavering result with the option of repeated viewing for the conclusion of the experiment.
After all three stages of the experiment were completed, the videos were reviewed for comparison
between the baseline reflex and the three changing factors, along with any discrepancies and
problematic areas that may have altered the results. The strength of the reflex was recorded as either
equal to, more vigorous than, or less vigorous than the baseline reflex and the results were put into a
simple chart.

The Wizard of Menlo Park and the Master of Lighting Essay
Thomas Edison and Nikola Tesla were two of the most influential minds of the 1800s. Edison, the
Wizard of Menlo Park, worked hard his whole life to achieve great feats in science. Tesla, the Master
of Lightning, had a brilliant mind and contributed to an electronic growth that changed American
history. Thomas Edison is such a familiar name, but Tesla on the other hand is more obscure. Edison is
widely known by the American public, but his intellectual equal and adversary is often forgotten.

Striving to Reach Your Goal in Doris Lessing’s Through the...
Through the tunnel is a story about a young boy, Jerry who visits the beach with his mother and soon
he is determined to pass through an underwater tunnel and prove himself capable of performing the
task. Despite the fact that the other people around him speak a foreign language, Jerry does not want
to lose his pride.
As described, the story takes place on what is considered to be a safe beach (182) and at the floor of
the beach is a wild bay, (182) high up among red brown rocks (182). The beach adds a warm feeling to
the story but the bay complements a darker mood and atmosphere, making the location dangerous.
The current time period seems to be more modern and portrays how people can easily travel from one
place to another without agonizing about other customs and languages, as Jerry is in a foreign country.
The story embarks as Jerry and his mother visit the beach, but Jerry s mother feels that he his grown
up enough to handle himself. She asks him, Would you like to go somewhere else? (182). After
hesitation Jerry replies, I d like to have a look at those rocks down there (182). This shows that Jerry is
growing older and wants to be like the older boys, who await him down at the bay. As the boys

some plans to improve the American life. As a leader, leading a change is a challenge in an
organization. Trump proved his business talent in the real estate industry. Trump wants to change the

Trump doesn t follow this process. When he was asked about the foreign policy issues, he didn t
answer directly. He escaped the questions again and again. The only thing he insists is making
America great. But he doesn t have any preparation to implement this goal. Also, he said he would
renegotiate the Trans Pacific Partnership, relations with China, the Iran nuclear deal, and the
partnerships with key allies. I doubt about his negotiation skills. He doesn t show any knowledge
about these international issues. I don t think he can negotiate with the others. The preparation is an
important stage when you try to achieve a good result. You have to know about the problem and
consider how to get win win between the parties. Trump needs to learn how to negotiation. For
example, the immigration might be a problem. But this is no way to build a wall to ban the Mexican.
The leader should separate the people from the problem. One rule can t fit all problems. Also, Trump
needs to let people trust him. The pursue fairness might help him. The change of tax rate has a
significant influence. If people view the process of fair, they would accept it. In addition, Trump
should have a BATNA if the agreement is not reached. The BATNA helps the leader make smart

Why Do People Have Not Involvement With Wildlife
I believe that humans should have no involvement with wildlife. People affect the wildlife in bad
ways. Humans need to keep a closer eye on the animals if they decide to put them in a zoo. We need to
make sure that the animals that are there aren t getting bored or going crazy. People have died because
of this. Humans also shouldn t hunt animals for things that they have, such as an elephant s tusks.
Here are some reasons why we should have no involvement with wildlife.
We need to keep a closer eye on zoo animals. We take animals out of their natural habitat and put them
in smaller enclosements. Because they are used to being in big, open fields, they may get a little bored
or resort back to their natural instincts. Animals such as tigers

The stage was set in what looks to be almost a half mile long and football field wide dry river bed. I
can see the appeal of placing a stage here with the Aventine and Palatine Hills on each side to
accommodate hundreds of thousands of spectators who would be able to see the stage. Once the stage
is broken down this prime real estate in the middle of Rome, Italy will serve as a large park, but it was
not always this way, the same reasons this park is used for concerts today is why the Circus Maximus
was constructed here in the Valley of Murcia, Rome. The Circus Maximus began with the Valley of
Murcia being used much as it is today. A small stream which ran off the Tiber river would dry enough
to race around the banks. The natural rise of the land on the sides of the valley allowed spectators to
sit. It was not until King Romulus created the first raised wooden seating that the Circus Maximus as
we picture it was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Next stone track side seating for politicians was added. Julius Caesar extended the wooden seating to
encompass almost the entire track. This is when the first version of the Circus Maximus, as we picture
it, was completed. Throughout the five centuries it took to develop the Circus to this point, fire and rot
were its biggest opposition requiring constant reconstruction. It is believed that the threat of fire
caused Emperor Trajan to rebuild the Circus in the newly discovered concrete, marble, stone, and only
the top section in wood. It was he who had the spina built connecting the two metae to represent the
broken spine of the enemies of Rome with the obelisk placed by Emperor Augustus as the center
piece. This was the final version of the Circus Maximus and was left generally

Interview With An Exclusive Interview
Introduction
Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Time after time again we have seen Charlie
Sheen apologizing for his antics; so after all this time what is it that makes Charlie Sheen so
forgivable? Sheen has been forgiven in the past for his antics, however, this time a simple apology
might not be able to recover his image as easily as before. The purpose of this paper is to look further
in depth at Sheen s exclusive interview with the Today Show and determine if any image repair
strategies are utilized. In this paper I will first set up the background story to explain the accusations
held against Sheen and why he decided to do an exclusive interview. I will provide a transcript of
Sheens interview broken up in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthering these reports, one woman recorded her conversations with Sheen about these allegations. In
the conversation she is heard asking Sheen why he did not tell her that he was infected and he replied
with, Because it is none of your f***ing business (Radar Online).
After all these reports came into light, Sheen decided to take action and put an end to these smear
campaigns . Late November 2015, Sheen appeared on the Today Show to speak out on his health
issues and be interview by Matt Lauer. The transcript, provided by LYBIO.net, between Lauer and
Sheen will be broken up into parts based off of the use of an image repair strategy, to which I will then
analyze and evaluate each strategy used in that individual statement. To refer to the full transcript of
the interview refer back to the appendix.

I have to, I have to. I m here to admit that I m am in fact HIV positive and I am um... I I I have to put a
stop to this onslaught, this barrage of attacks and sub truths and very harmful and mercurial stories
about threatening the health of so many others that couldn t be further from the truth.
When analyzing the first part of Sheen s interview, he states that he is in fact HIV positive; he makes
this statement because he claims to want to put a stop to the false harmful and hateful rumors of him
being a threat to the health of others.

For a substrate to be converted into a product, enzymes must collide with a substrate and bind to its
active site. As the temperature increase, the number of collisions per unit time increases which in turn
increases the kinetic energy of the protein. This increases the chances of the substrate to successfully
collide with an enzyme. Thus the rate of the reaction will also increase. When the temperature gets too
high, the increase in Kinetic energy causes a lot of vibrations in the enzyme leading to the hydrogen
bonds breaking. The shape of the active site on the protein now changes. The enzyme s intra and
intermolecular bonds are broken causing the enzyme structure to denature (break down). (1) (3)
. Ionic interactions between positively and negatively charged amino acids hold enzymes together. The
ionization state of amino acids (acidic of basic) can be affected by a change in the pH in which the
enzymatic reaction occurs and are sensitive to hydrogen ion concentration. The majority of enzymes
function over a small pH range. When pH is altered the rate of enzyme reaction reduce considerably
and the balance between positively and negatively charged amino acids are shifted. Acidic amino
acids contain a carboxyl functional group in their side chains whereas basic amino acids contain an
amine functional group in their side chains. When ionization state of amino acids are altered the ionic
bonds which determine the

The Importance Of Asian Culture
Asian culture is a salient component of our world s vastly different viewpoints, struggles, and diverse
customs. Moreover, it is important be aware of the diversity of Asian culture as over 26 countries are
included (Hildebrand, Phenice, Gray, Hines, 2008). In reviewing three separate TED Talks related to
Asian culture I discovered that they work incredibly hard for what they believe in. For instance, the
brave individuals who escape from North Korea and the outwardly LGBTQ+ members in Taiwan or
Japan that face adversity. In western culture, I believe, that we focus so heavily on the honor and
respect heavily in their society that we overlook other traits. It s the one story narratives that cause a
detriment as to how we view another groups culture and people. According to Leslie T. Chang, the
Western thoughts surrounding Chinese factory workers is both closed minded as well as rarely
includes the actual viewpoint of the worker themselves. Globalization is a major factor in the large
number of factories. In addition, we focus on the poor working conditions and by our standards lower
pay. Chang s speech eloquently states that as a country we overestimate our effects on other; our
desires for new technology does not result in Chinese people suffering in factories. They choose to
leave their homes in order to earn money, to learn new skills, and to see the world. In the ongoing
debate about globalization, what s been missing is the voices of the workers themselves (Chang,

Nietzsche s Letter From Birmingham Jail
This paper is a comparative study between Nietzsche s Beyond Good and Evil and Martin Luther
King Jr s Letter from Birmingham Jail. Detailing their views regarding ethical and unethical law.
Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 and died in 1968. He attended college at
Morehouse college and soon wanted to become a Baptist minister like his father. Shortly after
graduating from college in 1948 he attended a seminary at Chester, Pennsylvania and then received his
bachelor of divinity degree in 1955. While King worked on his doctoral degree he became a Baptist
minister and became very involved in the segregation laws and working for civil rights movements.
King wrote letter to Birmingham jail while confined in Birmingham jail for leading a demonstration
protesting segregation. King believed that everyone should be created equal and that our laws should
reflect our equal rights. Friedrich Nietzsche was born in 1844 and died in 1900. He was born in
Rocken, Prussia, attended Lutheran boarding school in Pforta and graduated in 1864. He enrolled in
the university of Bonn to study theology and soon after changing his views on religion and becoming
an atheist, he transferred to the University Leipzig to study classical philology. He was known for his
many important works in philology and became a professor at Basel in 1869. Nietzsche saw society as
will to power, he believed there are the weak and the strong in our society and that the masters are the

Environmental Impacts Of Safe Drinking Water Essay
Summary
The Flint Water Crisis is a current health and safety issue that is affecting thousands of Americans in
Flint, Michigan. Residents of Flint are unable to use and trust the water from their taps due to high
levels of contamination and lead exposure. Children and adults have both suffered from exposure to
this water supply. Rashes and illness have been common across the city. The water crisis in Flint
developed its start when the city stopped receiving their drinking water from Lake Huron and started
tapping into the Flint river. Because of the many cost cutting measures, this change has lead to
numerous environmental, economic, social, legal, ethical, and risk management concerns over how the
Flint government handled this issue.
Environmental Impacts
Safe drinking water provisions is one of the most successful public health interventions that has
helped developed our country. In the case of Flint Michigan however, ignorance of the risks of the
unsuitable training of managers and staff that work on drinking water systems, has negatively
impacted the community of over 95,000 people. Because of this, they are now facing serious
environmental impacts.
The water in Flint, Michigan has very toxic levels of lead. Lead poising can deeply affect a child s
development of the nervous system and the brain in irreversible ways. The children in Flint that were
exposed to the lead are more likely to have lower IQs, as well as have a more difficult time paying
attention than the

The Role Of Immigrants In A Summers Reading
From the information we can understand that in the beginning of the 20th century large numbers of
immigrants came to New York City searching for more desirable life for themselves and their future
generations, the American middle class dream. In addition, these people believed that if they work
hard and have faith in themselves, they will be able to achieve a great life full of satisfaction.
This idea is clearly reflected in A Summers Reading, the story is set in a poor immigrant neighborhood
in New York City. We know the characters are immigrants from their names. (Cattanzara is Italian and
Stoyonovich is probably Slavic). George wants to attain the American Dream. He wants a nice house
with a porch on a street with trees. He is, however

Hockey Trips
When you think of hockey trips you you think of just the games. I have been on many trips for hockey
and they all have been different. The two trips i remember the most are the ones that i went to St.
Louis and Toronto,Canada. These trips contrast in so many ways you would think it couldn t possible
be the same game. These trips compared to each other are very each to overlay with some similarities
as well. When these trips happen they were similar in the year and during the time period. When I first
went to Toronto i was able to see and hear thing that i never would of imaged of seeing. The toronto

We played the St.Louis jr Blues. This team was a funnel organization for the NHL team St.Louis
Blues. A funnel organization is one that makes a ameture hockey team in their name and the best
players go their and play. So the Jr. Blues made sure they beat us. They had such a great forecheck that
they didn t need to have defensive zone scheme. They beat us 5 2. This game was played after our six
and a half hour drive from Michigan. We had learned something that night. The hockey out west is
still very good. Typically hockey is not the same competitively as it is in warmer climates like
Missouri.Hockey in Michigan is some of the best hockey you can get not only in the United States but
the world. Since we have longer winters and hockey rinks all over and a successful NHL team in the
state hockey was very prominent in Michigan.
The two tournaments very similar in ways of how many game we played in each tournaments. This
was your typical four game round robin tournament. The teams are different because their were two
other major tournaments happening at the same time of these two tournaments. Our team was picked

Ethics And Ethics Of Care
Ethics of care can be defined as a normative ethical theory often considered a type of virtue ethics.
Dominant traditional ethical developed ethical theories based on an understanding of society as the
aggregate of autonomous, rational individuals with an emphasis on rules, duties, justice, rights,
impartiality, universality, utility and preference satisfaction; care ethics, on the other hand, developed
based on the understanding of the individual as an interdependent, relational being and emphasized the
importance of human relationships and emotion based virtues such as benevolence, mercy, care,
friendship, reconciliation, and sensitivity. The author divided the article into three sections: first, the
analysis of Avishai Margalit s argument ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It argued that memory includes an element of forgetting. It is impossible for us to remember
everything with equal weight. Remembering a unique event, such as the Holocaust, it becomes linked
to a specific narrative that is selective. Giving much emphasis on the Holocaust blocked the memory
of the al Nakba, a particularized memory of the Palestinians. It was not only the destruction of
Palestine, but of the memories and names of Palestine. Maragalit refers to it as a double murder, to be
killed not only in body but in name. Memory is also said to have the possibility to be institutionalized
and influenced by emotions. In the last section, the author used the feminist argument of the ethics of
care. It is to acknowledge the existing boundaries of moral and political life often omit the concerns
and activities of the relatively powerless. We need to remember that we humans are interdependent.
Awareness and recognition both the Holocaust and the al Nakba are essential to the ending of the
struggle and start a process of reconciliation. The author has shown its consistency with Margalit s
argument that memory is the condition for caring, and the absence of the former suggests the absence
of the

Why Is Laertes Important In Hamlet
All humans, search for that person who understands them, that comes from similar positions in life,
and can comprehend how the decisions made were arrived at. In Hamlet, by William Shakespeare the
revenge of a father is approached in three different ways. The obvious one is the subplot with
Fortinbras, but the subtler one is Laertes. Shakespeare uses Laertes to show what could have been if
different approaches had been taken. Throughout the play, Laertes is not only the reflection of Hamlet,
but also the representation of choices Hamlet could have made. Shakespeare is recognizable, because
his pieces are open to interpretation and are understandable to every generation. When reading
Shakespeare, the key is to trudge through, if ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Hamlet, unwilling to believe that Claudius murdered his father, sets up a trap to prove it. Hamlet is a
soft fellow, who thinks too much and has many suicidal tendencies. Even after he has proven that
Claudius is guilty, and is granted an opportunity for vengeance he passes it over, using the excuse of
not wishing to kill a man in confession. Meanwhile, Hamlet has no trouble killing Polonius through
the curtains because he was spying on the meeting between Gertrude and Hamlet. Hamlet also knows
for the majority of the play that he will end up killing his old companions: Guildenstern and
Rosencrantz. Only the king presents an obstacle for Hamlet. As a result of the murder of Polonius, the
audience views what Hamlet could have done to Claudius. When Laertes returns from abroad because
his father is dead (just as Hamlet returned home at the beginning of the play), he is presented with the
shock of a mad sister who is obsessed with and the fact that his father s murderer is Hamlet and under
the king s protection. Upon his arrival the people proclaim him the next king, as Hamlet should have
been if Gertrude had stayed

Impact of Alcohol Use on American Society Essay
Alcohol is a drug that is classified as a central nervous system depressant. There are three forms of
alcohol, beer, wine and distilled spirits. Alcohol is one of the most commonly used drugs in the United
States and has more adverse effects that most other drugs combined. There are many aspects to
consider when thinking about alcohol as a drug. There are many myths surrounding alcohol, including
who uses it, what its effects are on users, social and sexual situations and the amounts people drink.
The vast majority of the American population uses alcohol and in many various ways and this also
causes different effects. Alcohol is also has a great causation in crimes committed by users, social,

A myth that many college age users like to believe is that there are numerous ways we can speed up
the process of becoming sober. These commonly believed methods include, drinking coffee, taking a
cold shower or exercising. There is only one way that a drinker can sober up and that is to let the liver
breakdown the alcohol. This process can differ in people depending on their individual rate of
metabolism, but overall this is a slow process that requires a significant amount of time and cannot be
sped up by outside means. Another commonly accepted myth and one that is often encouraged is that
drinking hard liquor will get you drunk faster than drinking beer. In fact, the amount of alcohol in one
beer is equal to the amount of alcohol in one shot of hard liquor, (U.S. Department of Health, 1977).
Although many of these myths would be beneficial to our drinking experiences, they are all in fact
false and users of alcohol must be aware of them.
Alcohol is one of the most commonly used drugs in the United States today. Sixty three percent of
Americans over the age of 18 said they have consumed alcohol at least once in the past year,
(National, 2001). A survey, conducted by the Core Institute, of 55,026 college students, ranging from
freshmen to seniors to non seeking degree students, from across the United States showed that 84.1%
of students consumed alcohol at least once a year and that 72.1% of students

  • 2. The Goals Of A College Curriculum The Manner in which Takaki Brings about the Goals of a College Curriculum There are a significant number of goals that are essential for a college curriculum. In order to be a successful student in college, a college curriculum gives individuals an opportunity to explore themselves and the people around them, and it also shows them how to be independent so that they can be able to cope and successfully accomplish these goals to prepare themselves for their future lives. For example, skills, such as discipline, creative skills, confidence, accountability, perseverance, responsibility, flexibility, and independence will very much help one to be able to successfully work at a job. As a result, the person will make money to provide for his ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... According to Jonathan Brennan, professor of English at Mission College, through A Different Mirror and the history of these people that helped shape American history, students can have a more accurate understanding of who they are and where they have come from. First and foremost, there are two particular chapters in this book that have greatly helped me in reaching these goals of a college curriculum. For instance, in chapter nine, called The Indian Question , Takaki addresses the terrifying acts that were placed upon the Indians. After reading this very unfamiliar and uncomfortable chapter, it has, in reality, greatly changed my thinking patterns. For example, I became completely shocked and horrified of all the cruelties that many different races did to each other, for they would brutally and mercilessly kill women, children, and even babies. One of the Indians who was in the midst of the chaos and catastrophe said, My son who was two years old was shot in the mouth that later caused his death (Takaki 230). As a result, I became very skeptical on what the English at that time were trying to accomplish, for they actually caused great harm and distress. I also was in the process of critical thinking because I just could not comprehend why the English took these bizarre and horrendous actions. I thought to ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Essay about Salman Rushdie’s Idea of Women in The Satanic... In Salman Rushdie s novel The Satanic Verses Rushdie tells a story about two men, Saladin Chamcha and Gibreel Farishta, oddly connected by the fact that they both survive the hijacking of their aircraft. Throughout the novel, Gibreel has powerful dreams in which the narrator brings up the topic of the Satanic Verses. The Satanic Verses were supposedly verses that Muhammad said were part of the Quran and then were later revoked. The Verses allegedly said that Allah was not the only god and that there were three slightly lesser female deities. It is believed that the Satanic Verses were removed from the Quran because they accepted females as divine. In The Satanic Verses women are portrayed as evil or tainted because they stray men from ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... During the course of the novel, Rushdie uses the narrator, whom we assume to be Satan himself, to illustrate to the reader why women are more inclined to not follow the strict rules of Islam, and instead stray towards to devil because of better quality of life promised with the devil as opposed to the demeaning and shameful life they lead in the religion of Islam. In the Mahound chapter of The Satanic Verses, the narrator tells the story of Ibrahim and his wife and son, Hagar and Ismail. He took them to a waterless wilderness (96) where he abandoned them, but before he left Hagar asked him Can this be God s will? (96), and Ibrahim replied that it was. The narrator says that men have always used God as an excuse to mistreat women in their lives and then goes off on a tangent thinking to himself Small wonder, then, that women have turned to me (96). This is where the reader can make the inference that the narrator is Satan because women are turning to him and away from God and religion. They feel as though they are treated better by the devil rather than God because the men in Islamic societies always justify the horrible things they do to women by saying it is indeed God s will. Later on in the book in the chapter A City Visible but Unseen Rushdie again shows the favoritism of males over females. When Hind gives birth to her second daughter, Anahita, she is so upset that she only has two girls that she refuses to have ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 4. How Do I Explain Behaviour. Lecture How do we explain behavior Behaviour generally refers to actions or reactions (an activity or response of some kind) of an object or organism usually in relation to the environment or surrounding world of stimuli. Behaviour can be conscious or unconscious, overt or covert, voluntary or involuntary, sometimes it can be common, unusual, acceptable, or outside acceptable limits. The acceptability of behavior is evaluated relative to social norms and regulated by various means of social control. Insight into human behavior comes from both scientific and non scientific investigations. The knowledge obtained through the senses (sight, sound, touch, taste, smell) and experiences is non scientific. The knowledge acquired through this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Political scientists study international relationships, the workings of government, and the exercise of power and authority. Psychologists investigate personality and individual behaviour. Sociologists focus on the influence society has on people s attitudes and behaviour and the ways in which people shape society. They scientifically examine human social relationships. PSYCHOLOGY AND BEHAVIOUR Psychology is an academic and applied field that is often defined as the scientific study of mental processes and behavior. Psychologists want to understand every aspect of behavior (humans and organisms) therefore they explore the unknown world of nature through the use of scientific methods which eliminate bias and opinion and provide convincing evidence. Other methods of obtaining knowledge such as intuitions and personal experiences, logical deductions and common sense or pronouncements of authority figures are not accepted by scientists. These sources of knowledge rely on opinions or beliefs that others may disagree with, or may be created by someone who is biased or wrong. The scientific study of psychology is especially geared towards learning about an organism s behavior by observing and studying that behaviour, while minimizing the influences of bias or opinion. Psychology differs from sociology, anthropology, economics, and political science in part because it involves studying the mental processes and behavior of individuals (alone or in ... • 5. Feminism In African Feminism According to Naomi Nkealah who considers diverse streams of African feminisms as something which strive to create a new, liberal, productive and self reliant African woman within the heterogeneous cultures of Africa. Feminisms in Africa, ultimately, aim at modifying culture as it affects women in different societies. Thus taking the multifarious nature of African experience into consideration, African Feminisms explore the possibilities of embracing the magnitude of their collective experiences. Assorted patterns of feminisms, that deviate from the conceptual equations of (western) feminism and construed after indigenous models emerged in African backdrop such as Womanism, Stiwanism, Nego feminism, Motherism, Femalism and Snail sense feminism. Being indigenous blueprints these variegated modes were attempts to demarcate African female at the centre of entire contentions and to explore in the cultural chronicles for material to initiate further elaboration. For Adichie the label feminist is not something derogatory but an umbrella where every woman should find shelter in. Adichie s pronouncements are completely against the preconceived notions on gender are not meaningful but (universally) arbitrary. In We All Shall Be Feminists she says: But that is not what this conversation is about. Gender and class are different. • 6. The Canadian Bar Association Was An Appropriate Intervener As an intervener, I represent an outside agency who does not have direct and substantial interest in the case at hand, but has a definite interest and perspectives that are essential to the case at bar. For the respondent s, the Canadian Bar Association was an appropriate intervener for two reasons: the CBA had a strong interest in the mandatory minimums within the impugned legislation and the perspective of implementing an exemption would act as a good alternative to amending the legislation in case the judiciary did not see good enough reason to dismiss the appeal. I will present an explanation for why the CBA argued for an alternative to the mandatory minimum, how it relates to the submissions of the respondents, and the reasoning behind the specific exemption clause submitted. Reasoning For Arguing An Alternative to the Mandatory Minimum The Canadian Bar Association submitted to the USCC that a s.1 and s.12 Charter analyses of the mandatory minimum penalty must include the consideration of reasonable alternatives. S.1 and s.12 s Charter analyses are also relevant to the arguments presented by my colleagues to better enforce their submissions about the s.12 Charter violation and why the infringement cannot be saved by s.1 of the Charter. • 8. Five Points Sociology The Truth: Irish immigrants were driven to America by the potato famine of the 1840s. This caused a massive influx of immigrants to New York City who were forced to settle for the cheapest and shabbiest lodgings in a poorer area of the city, known as Five Points. These kinds of conditions resulted in dirty, overcrowded spaces with relatively poor standards of living. Men typically worked at a trade, what we would now consider blue collar, or working class jobs, to provide for their families. Due to the fact that in this time, women were still not welcome in the workplace, many unmarried or widowed women were forced to turn to prostitution in order to support themselves. Gangs were formed to promote political candidates, and sometimes fought among themselves. There was also a building known as the Old Brewery, where more than 1,000 people supposedly lived. It was torn down in the 1850s so that the land could be used for a mission to do charity work. In the 1890s, Five Points was converted to factories and public buildings, essentially ending the Irish occupation of the area. Theme Of Gimpel The Fool Herode Decius Professor Dr. Kathleen Tamayo Alves English 102PNT1 08 November 2017 Feeling a Sense of Acceptance and Belonging In the hierarchy of needs, belonging is introduced as a necessity needed to survive, yet often overlooked by society. We develop our own set of values and morals in which we conform. These values develop throughout our life cycle from childhood into adulthood and varies from person to person by affiliations, religious beliefs and interactions with groups we belong to. To hint at that conflict, the author uses irony in a work, he has the character act naïve and ignorant to create the wise character of Gimpel , I am Gimpel the fool. I don t think myself a fool. On the contrary, But that s what folks call me (745). This illustrates a wise man that is well aware of the label given to him but deliberately accepted it. It is also ironic when his wife, Erka, tells Gimpel that he is the father of the child she had four months after their marriage, He seemed to accept her explanation of the child being premature, but then admits, to tell the plain truth, I don t believe her... but then, who really knows how such things are (749)? He continues, I believed them, and I hope that did them some good (749). This shows at what length he d go through to feel accepted by his wife despite what he had to endure from being cheated on to learning that the kids weren t his right before her death. It also shows the reader, despite that Gimpel was being mistreated, he did not let that influence on how he perceived himself as a person or changed his views and beliefs on the world; other people s approach toward him and opinions did not matter. Instead of seeking revenge or showing them that he is not a fool, he said, One can t pass through life unscathed (750). Through the sadness, he had ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Archaeologists find evidence regularly at famous egyptian landmarks of extraterrestrial presence. So much infact that it has lead scientists to wonder, were the ancient egyptians really alone in the desert? What put the egyptians so far ahead of the the rest of the world, with their structures and technology? Recent discoveries are showing that they not only had control of advanced medicine, but they also had a sophisticated social structure. Many places around the world have been shown with this advancement, a more popular example would be Atlantis. With their advanced and highly valued metals, Atlantis was a hotspot for cultural mixing. Additionally, this report will explain current medical and educational issues, non music therapy treatment trends, and current effective therapeutic interventions regarding stroke. Near the end, a specific piece of information will be provided that the author of this report deems important for music therapists to know. Demographics, Characteristics, Challenges According to American Stroke Association (ASA), stroke is a disease that affects the arteries that lead to the brain. A stroke occurs when a blood vessel that carries oxygen and nutrients to the brain is either blocked by a clot or bursts. As a result, part of the brain cannot get the blood and oxygen it needs which causes brain cells to die (American Stroke Association, n.d.). Depending on where the stroke occurs in the brain, the level/type of impairment differs with the individual. For example, if a stroke occurs in the back of the brain, it is likely that some disability involving vision will result. Overall, the effects of a stroke depend primarily on the location of the obstruction and the extent of brain tissue affected (American Stroke Association, n.d.). Nowadays we see more and more people discussing how much better life here would be if we could change this or that they believe they can fix what is here on earth. The world flight world view believes that to reach what we are really meant for we have to leave this world behind and that the closes we can get to that perfection would be through a daydream. So in the song Imagine It by MKTO. We hear about this amazing place but it all comes back to the title that we can only imagine it. I really believe that the part that says a grip on an iPhone never looking into each other s eyes let alone at the stars wondering where the time goes because it is a very true statement of how being here with these worldly objects such as I phones takes away from all the beautiful things in the world like the stars and the love in another person s eyes. • 15. Patellar Lab Report Essay Introduction There are two groups of reflexes in the human body, with two ways to categorize each of them. Reflexes can either be inborn and connected through the nervous system, or they can be learned through practice. Another way to explain a reflexive category would be autonomic reflexes or somatic reflexes. Autonomic reflexes are those which are unaware to us and act on visceral organs of the body, whereas somatic reflexes involve skeletal muscle stimulation. Both types of reflexes are put into effect via the nervous system. (1) The Patellar reflex, or Knee Jerk reflex, is used to test the nervous tissue in the spinal cord from L2 L4. At the same time the subject s patellar tendon was sharply tapped. The final element that was tested against the baseline reflex was the influence of fatigue on the strength of the reflex response. This was achieved by having the subject run up and down three levels of stairs three times in the Frost building stairwell of Holyoke Community College. The subject immediately came back to the original sitting position on the edge of the lab bench with legs dangling freely, and the patellar tendon was tapped once more. One subject was used, and was seated in the same position for each of the three tests performed. Because the patellar reflex is immediate, a video was taken during each tap with the hammer to visually compare the strength differences for each influence that was put into effect. This provided a steady, unwavering result with the option of repeated viewing for the conclusion of the experiment. After all three stages of the experiment were completed, the videos were reviewed for comparison between the baseline reflex and the three changing factors, along with any discrepancies and problematic areas that may have altered the results. The strength of the reflex was recorded as either equal to, more vigorous than, or less vigorous than the baseline reflex and the results were put into a simple chart. Through the tunnel is a story about a young boy, Jerry who visits the beach with his mother and soon he is determined to pass through an underwater tunnel and prove himself capable of performing the task. Despite the fact that the other people around him speak a foreign language, Jerry does not want to lose his pride. As described, the story takes place on what is considered to be a safe beach (182) and at the floor of the beach is a wild bay, (182) high up among red brown rocks (182). The beach adds a warm feeling to the story but the bay complements a darker mood and atmosphere, making the location dangerous. The current time period seems to be more modern and portrays how people can easily travel from one place to another without agonizing about other customs and languages, as Jerry is in a foreign country. The story embarks as Jerry and his mother visit the beach, but Jerry s mother feels that he his grown up enough to handle himself. She asks him, Would you like to go somewhere else? (182). After hesitation Jerry replies, I d like to have a look at those rocks down there (182). This shows that Jerry is growing older and wants to be like the older boys, who await him down at the bay. Once the stage is broken down this prime real estate in the middle of Rome, Italy will serve as a large park, but it was not always this way, the same reasons this park is used for concerts today is why the Circus Maximus was constructed here in the Valley of Murcia, Rome. The Circus Maximus began with the Valley of Murcia being used much as it is today. A small stream which ran off the Tiber river would dry enough to race around the banks. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... For a substrate to be converted into a product, enzymes must collide with a substrate and bind to its active site. As the temperature increase, the number of collisions per unit time increases which in turn increases the kinetic energy of the protein. This increases the chances of the substrate to successfully collide with an enzyme. Thus the rate of the reaction will also increase. When the temperature gets too high, the increase in Kinetic energy causes a lot of vibrations in the enzyme leading to the hydrogen bonds breaking. The shape of the active site on the protein now changes. The enzyme s intra and intermolecular bonds are broken causing the enzyme structure to denature (break down). (1) (3) . Ionic interactions between positively and negatively charged amino acids hold enzymes together. The ionization state of amino acids (acidic of basic) can be affected by a change in the pH in which the enzymatic reaction occurs and are sensitive to hydrogen ion concentration. The majority of enzymes function over a small pH range. When pH is altered the rate of enzyme reaction reduce considerably and the balance between positively and negatively charged amino acids are shifted. In reviewing three separate TED Talks related to Asian culture I discovered that they work incredibly hard for what they believe in. In western culture, I believe, that we focus so heavily on the honor and respect heavily in their society that we overlook other traits. It s the one story narratives that cause a detriment as to how we view another groups culture and people. According to Leslie T. Globalization is a major factor in the large number of factories. In addition, we focus on the poor working conditions and by our standards lower pay.
