Transcription is the formation of an RNA strand from a DNA template within the nucleus of a
cell. There are four nucleotides of DNA. These are adenine, cytosine, guanine and thymine.
These nucleotides are transcribed to form messenger ribonucleic acid (mRNA) consisting of
nucleotides made of adenine, cytosine, guanine and uracil. This transcription from DNA to
mRNA happens by an RNA polymerase II. This newly created mRNA is read in the 5 to 3
direction in sets of 3. These sets are called codons. Each mRNA also has a cap and end. On the 5
prime side is a methylated guanine triphosphate and on the 3 prime is a poly A tail. Messenger
RNA then moves to the cells cytoplasm and through the cells ribosomes for translation. Messenger
RNA is matched to molecules of transfer RNA (tRNA) in the ribosomes to create amino acids.
These amino acids subsequently form an amino acid chain. (Osuri, 2003) A visual representation of

As was just learned, RNA polymerase II is what transcribes DNA.

Lindbergh Case Study
The Lindbergh Case was one in which the whole world seemed to be following in 1932. Charles
Jr. was so easily swept away from his room and family in the middle of the night with little clues
to tell what and how it happened. This meant the involvement of the Criminal Justice System was
needed to try and find out who had taken their baby. These components include the Police, Court,
and eventually Corrections. Starting with the Police, or the detectives on the scene of the
abduction. For this particular incident there was involvement with New Jersey Police, New York
Police, and the F.B.I which at times caused some confusion. The detectives on the scene found
little evidence initially, this included a Ransom note and a broken ladder with some footprints
outside the house. Once reading the ransom note they found that it was written in a very childish

The Great Tribulation In The Crucible By Arthur Miller
The tony award winning play The Crucible is a play written by Arthur Miller. The Crucible came to
be in the 1950s, a time where the fear of Communists in the country was rampant and creating
unnecessary chaos through the United States. The hysteria reminded Miller of the Salem Witch
Trials, the setting of the Crucible, where the paranoia of witches among the Puritans sent the town

Be careful going home. The roads are slippy. That phrase makes me cringe. Western
Pennsylvanians are known for their interesting colloquialisms and I can t stand most of them.
Colloquialisms are words or phrases that aren t formal or even literary and are spoken in common
conversation, according to Oxford Dictionaries. The correct wordis slippery and not this strange
word pronounced slippy. Other ones like yinz, dippy egg, pop, gob, red up, hoagie, and buggy are
common words around here and I believe it makes the people saying them sound like hicks. I ve
grown up in this area, surrounded by these words, yet I feel each one is worse than the next. This
wasn t always the case though. When I was younger, my family said a few of the colloquialisms

Altoona where you could always smell natural fertilizer and you lived a fair distance from your
