Sylvia recently co-authored "Invent To Learn: Making, Tinkering, and Engineering in the Classroom." Called "the bible of the Maker Movement in schools", this book has become a touchstone for educators and parents looking for ways to bring authentic learning back to classrooms. Currently Sylvia Is an independent consultant, working with a wide variety of organizations focusing on improving student learning using the tools and technology of the 21st century while remembering the lessons of educational leaders such as Seymour Papert, John Dewey, Jean Piaget, and others.
Sylvia began her career as an electrical engineer, working in aerospace as a researcher and programmer for the then exper.
