  1. Before I go any further I’d like to take a step back to clarify social media in its context to web marketing, and marketing as a whole. Social media marketing is simply another tool for outreach online, fitting in with an overall web strategy: your website, design, navigation, actions desired, content, blogs, online PR, banner ads, text ads, local ads, SEO, link building … it’s not a stand alone campaign, integration is key.
