2. Pre- Op
• A 24 year old male was referred
to the Department with a
fractured upper left central
incisor (21) subsequent to an
injury.
• On clinical examination, it was
observed that the upper right
central incisor had a horizontal
fracture at the cervical 1/3rd level
with the fracture line extending
sub-gingivally on palatal side.

3. • To keep the margin of restoration
supragingival, a multidisciplinary
approach is necessary for a subgingivally
fractured teeth.
• In this case, though orthodontic extrusion
was the obvious choice, the patient
wanted aesthetic treatment for his
problem.
• Lingual Orthodontics is the only
solution for such aesthetically
challenging cases.
