Italy, like the United States, has very different regions. Sicily is an island but it is very rocky and rugged. Believe it or not, just below this castle is the ocean.
Turino is located in Northern Italy. As you can see, the city of Turino is located in more of a valley, but is surrounded by snow capped mountains.
Florence is located in central italy. This is the capital for Rennaissance Art, and famous works of art like the statue of the David. This is one of the biggest tourist areas and a lot of English can be heard spoken here. Ironically, this was the birthplace of standard Italian language! Heard of Dante’s inferno? Well, Dante was a resident of Florence!
Rome is the capital of Italy. It is home to many ancient roman structures, including the Colliseum.
The Almafi Coast is where many Italians may vacation, but it is also the location of vacation homes for the wealthy Europeans.
Sardenia is located south of Italy close by to the island of Sicily. Like Sicily, it boasts large mountainous rocks next to sparkling blue waters!
Venice is another popular vacation spot in Italy. It is also an island surrounded by canals where you can spot gondoliers and other boats– transportation by water is the most common form!
