Question 4) Who would be the audience for your media product?

The target audience for my music magazine is the youths which I mentioned about consists of the age 16 – 25. I find
this range appropriate due to the fact that this range tends to like Hip Hop and RnB because of its fast paced music
and the beats and flow that is used, moreover I was considering making the minimum age a bit lower due to the fact
that younger youths may listen as well, however I encountered a number of audience feedback from my peers which
consists of them saying that some of the language used in the magazine or by the artist in general may not be
appropriate for youths aged below 16 and there feedback was in fact correct. My magazine did contain various areas
of inappropriate language for youths under 16. Therefore with coming to a conclusion I chose the age range of 16-25
to be my target audience for youths. Going back to my audience profile this also links in as the youth likes the content
of my media product and the interests and social spending methods link in terms of what clothing they like, which
products they tend to buy and what additional artists they consume music from. Therefore based on my appeal from
my actual front cover, content page and double page spread along with my audience profile, my target audience
would mainly consist of youths.
