PPT is based on the sustainable development goals basically on goal 7 and goal 13. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), otherwise known as the Global Goals, are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The SDGs work in the spirit of partnership and pragmatism to make the right choices now to improve life, in a sustainable way, for future generations.

4. Why the UN Created Sustainable Development Goals ?
The day-to-day running of cities is complicated business. Bootstrapped budgets,
burdensome procurement processes, and a dearth of talent make it extremely difficult to
execute effectively. Add to that an ever growing list of challenges — choked
transportation systems too often coupled with a lack of affordable housing or accessible
public spaces; inequality, injustice and climate change, whether or not city managers
choose to address them. For those charged with finding solutions to these issues, a finger
wagging about what your priorities should be can be pretty annoying. But that’s exactly
what the Sustainable Development Goals do. And they are long overdue.
6. Our everyday lives depend on reliable and affordable energy services to function smoothly and to develop
equitably. A well-established energy system supports all sectors: from businesses, medicine and education to
agriculture, infrastructure, communications and high-technology. Conversely, lack of access to energy supplies and
transformation systems is a constraint to human and economic development.
Why this goal is important?
11. By 2030, ensure universal
access to affordable,
reliable and modern energy
services
By 2030, increase
substantially the share of
renewable energy in the
global energy mix
By 2030, double the global
rate of improvement in
energy efficiency.
GOAL 7 TARGETS
15. Why is this goal important?
Climate change is caused by human activities and is
threatening the way we live and the future of our planet. By
addressing climate change, we can build a sustainable world for
everyone. But we need to act now.

developed-country parties to the United
Nations Framework Convention on
Climate Change to a goal of mobilizing
jointly $100 billion annually by 2020 from
all sources to address the needs of
developing countries in the context of
meaningful mitigation actions and

Promote mechanisms for raising capacity
for effective climate change-related
planning and management in least
developed countries and small island
developing States, including focusing on
women, youth and local and marginalized
communities
23. Strengthen resilience
and adaptive capacity to
climate-related hazards
and natural disasters in all
countries.
Integrate climate change
measures into national
policies, strategies and
planning.
