1. Dear Sir/ Madam,
In these past few weeks I have been developing a cover design for the newly released Ender’s
Game film. My first design takes influence from the helmet that the main character Ender wears
within the film, I chose to draw this as I feel it acts as a symbol within the film and I wanted to
show a main character without focusing on any particular one.
As the standard design for all covers of Little White Lies issues include a head and shoulders
shot, I've decided to pursue my ideas in the same format. it’s completely hand drawn and I’m
trying to stick with sci-fi based colours that also appear within the film, this may include silvers,
blues, greens ect. or complimentary colours such as blues and oranges. For my final design I’m
planning on adding watercolours to the background running with the same colour theme and also
maybe a reflection within the visor, ideas for this include the issue title or the exploding ship
which features at the end of the film, decisions on this have yet to be trialed. The main focal point
of the cover will be the hand drawn portrait of Ender and may include very simple illustrations
within the background.
Kind regards,
Sophie Wright
