Sparkabook is an online marketplace and community that connects book professionals around the world to trade rights and share information. Members can list book titles for sale, view listings of available rights, and message other members. The site offers tools for tracking manuscript requests, following colleagues' activities, and managing listings and sales. Sparkabook Rights Trading and payment services will launch soon to enable secure sharing of manuscripts and tracking of deals.
2. What is Sparkabook? Sparkabook is a place for book people around the world to trade rights and connect with each other... The Sparkabook Community is what you are looking at now. The community enables members to share promotional material on titles, support each other and make use of new ideas and tools. Sparkabook Rights Trading will follow soon, and will enable secure sharing of manuscripts, tracking of leads, and payment services. as well as film scouts, multimedia producers digital service providers
3. Community Tell people about you/your company. List your Facebook and Twitter pages, your website and what you are interested in, for example; selling rights, contacting other agents around the world, acquiring rights. Provide Your Website Address Send Messages Add Colleagues
4. Your Personal Community Hub Check messages from other members, follow other members (who become colleagues if they follow back) and see colleague activities. Share media publicly or privately with colleagues only. Check your messages and any new alerts. Add media, create albums, add articles and invite colleagues. See your own news feed, with updates from colleagues.
5. Browse listings. Search by category or keyword and refine results by rights available in your language or in a specific format. Sort results by Sales Rank, Most Viewed, Most Rights Sales, Original Language, Latest Listings and more. Filter results by Language, Territory and Country. Filter results by Format and Sub-Rights.
6. Review Title Details You can see details of which rights have been sold for each title, as well as other key information. Titles can be added to your watchlist, or you can request a copy of the manuscript to review.
7. Add items to your watchlist. Save items to your watchlist so you can follow them up easily at a later date, or remove items you are no longer interested in.
8. Keep track of which manuscripts you have requested Scout Manager is a free service that lets you keep track of which manuscripts you have requested, which manuscripts are now available to review, and which manuscripts you have already reviewed.
10. Create new listings for your titles. Simply enter your ISBN number and the title’s information is automatically retrieved, all you have to do is assign rights. If your manuscript is not yet published or does not have an ISBN, you can enter details manually.
11. Manage all your listings from My Listings. Modify or edit your listings from ‘My Listings’ by simply clicking on the item’s title. See how many views your listings have received, and how many buyer watchlists they are sitting on.
12. SalesTracker SalesTracker is an optional service* with a low monthly subscription fee that automates the sales process. Community members request a copy of your manuscript, and you can choose to approve each request, or release copies to community members immediately. *SalesTracker is not optional for unpublished manuscripts because manuscripts must be validated before releasing to community members. A special reduced subscription fee applies for members who only list unpublished manuscripts.
