Career in artificial inteligence

  1. 1. CAREER IN Artificial Intelligence Artificial Intelligence is the science and engineering of making computer machines able to perform tasks which normally require human intelligence, such as visual perception, speech recognition, decision-making, and translation between languages. It is a branch of the Computer Science that aims to develop intelligent computer machines.. Scope of Artificial Intelligence: The ultimate effort is to make computer programs that can solve problems and achieve goals in the world, as well as humans. There is a scope in developing the machines in game playing, speech recognition machine, language detection machine, computer vision, expert systems, robotics and many more. Artificial Intelligence is the future of our technology. Artificial Intelligence covers almost every field like medical, finance, engineering and many more. You can make your career in Artificial Intelligence and the fact that there is no way of end Artificial Intelligence technology. CareerPreview
  2. 2. Scope of Artificial Intelligence in India Scope of Artificial Intelligence is very large. Artificial Intelligence covered many areas like medical diagnosis, stock trading, robot control law, scientific discovery and many others. Means Artificial Intelligence is used in every electronics, computer and mechanical devices. If you have the M.Tech/M.E degree in Artificial Intelligence/Robotics you have the job opportunities in space research organization like ISRO. You also have option to go in various top level microchip manufacturer companies like Intel and many more. If you interested in research work, then you get job in Indian Institute of Technology for doing extensive research in Artificial Intelligence. Indian Institute of Chemical Biology offers research in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. CareerPreview Scope of Artificial Intelligence in Abroad In abroad there are lot of top companies which offers job opportunities in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. One of major company is Plastec in USA which give employment to you. With ATR you have option to do research in Artificial Intelligence which is best research institute for humanoid robot and computational neuroscience. Intel also offers job for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics specialist. NASAis the best place to get job in Artificial Intelligence in space science. Job Opportunities: Game Programmer, Robotic Scientist, Computer Scientist, Software Engineer etc.
  3. 3. Basic Knowledge: Study mathematics, especially mathematical logic. The more you learn about sciences, e.g. physics or biology, the better. For the biological approaches to AI, study psychology and the physiology of the nervous system. Learn some programming languages--at least C, Lisp and Prolog. It is also a good idea to learn one basic machine language. Jobs are likely to depend on knowing the languages currently in fashion. In the late 1990s, these included C++ and Java. Skills required to be successful in AI Working with artificial intelligence requires an analytical thought process and the ability to solve problems with cost-effective and efficient solutions. Professionals need technical skills to design, maintain and repair technology and software programs. Those interested in becoming artificial intelligence professionals need a specific education qualification based on foundations of maths, technology, logic, and engineering perspectives. Robotics will definitely be a prime requirement (since it is a multi- disciplinary sector with Electrical, Electronics, Programming, Algorithm, Mechanical all embedded into it). But whatever field he/she might be from, people with practical skills will be sought-after. It would be better to learn the basics at a much younger age, get your focus and start research work from the start of graduation years. This would provide enough time to get experience and thereby meet the requirements of the AI industry. But apart from all this, cognitive science would also be another interesting skill set. Tech (AI), University of Hyderabad CL 688 Artificial Intelligence in Process Engineering, Dept. of Chemical Engineering, IIT Bombay Artificial Intelligence courses at Dept. of Computer Science and Automation, IISc Bangalore Artificial Intelligence courses at Knowledge Based Computer Systems Division, C-DAC Mumbai Artificial Intelligence courses at Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay Courses on Image Processing at Computer Vision & AI Lab, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, IISc Bangalore Computational Linguistics at Language Technologies Research Centre, IIIT Hyderabad Certificate Course on Machine Intelligence and Soft Computing, Centre for Soft Computing Research, ISI Kolkata Artificial Inteligence courses at Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Madras (Odd Sem., Even Sem.) Masters of Technology in Knowledge Engineering, M. Tech (KE), Dept. of CSE, SRM University, Kattankulathur CareerPreview Artificial Intelligence courses in India Their lot of artificial intelligence courses available in India. You can do Master's degree in artificial intelligence from any respected institute. You also opt for M.Sc in artificial intelligence and you may do some short some courses in artificial intelligence for your knowledge on latest technology. If you want to do some research in artificial intelligence than you opt for Ph.D. in artificial intelligence. Below you can find various institutes which offers various courses in artificial intelligence.
  5. 5. CareerPreview Startups to drive growth of AI While globally artificial intelligence industry has grown by leaps and bounds, India is yet to catch up with the rest of the world in this particular frontier. However, the Indian startup ecosystem has been growing exponentially every year, and is continuously paving the way for matching up to the speed of the West. According an industry report by IDC, the analytics and business intelligence industry together is sized around $10 billion and is expected to grow by 22.4 per cent to $27.9 billion by 2017. With business goals of most major industries aligning with the growth in technology, there comes an underlining need for them to turn towards big data and artificial intelligence. According to Reportbuyer, the AI market is estimated to grow to $5.05 billion by 2020 at a CAGR of 53.65 per cent from 2015 to 2020. This growth can be attributed to factors such as diversified application areas, improved productivity and increased customer satisfaction. The AI market in APAC is expected to grow at the highest CAGR between 2015 and 2020. The rapid adoption of the machine learning technology in the advertising & media, finance and retail sectors in this region and increase in the usage of natural language processing technology are contributing to the growth of the artificial intelligence market in APAC. AI is also driving the tech job market, particularly in the APAC region. AI is the wave which will push this generation towards the next industrial revolution. As of today, industries across the healthcare, finance, transportation and manufacturing sectors are witnessing its hugely positive impact. With technological developments, we are ushering into an era which will witness automation in everyday activities and tasks to an extent which has not event been conceptualised as yet. Pranavan and Sneha Priya, cofounders of SP Robotic Works, shared, “As IT is present in every field, AI can be expected to be in every field too. While in education, AI will be used to understand and change the content delivery style according to the child, in the luxury sector, it will be used to automate homes in a more intelligent fashion. It will be hot in the retail sector too, and will be used to suggest which shop would be having the dress the person is searching for. So if you ask the scope of using AI in any sector, imagination can be the only limitation!”
  6. 6. CareerPreview GE acquirestwo artificialintelligence startups General Electric said on Tuesday it has acquired two tech startups to build its artificial intelligence capability, a move that helps it compete with IBM's Watson product. GE said the acquisitions of Bit Stew Systems and Wise.io will expand its Predix platform for industrial internet applications, which connects big machines such as power plants and aircraft engines to databases and analytical software. Terms of the deals weren't disclosed. Berkley, California-based Wise.io has advanced machine learning technology that GE sees "as really well-built for the industrial world", Bill Ruh, chief executive officer of GE Digital, GE's software arm, said in an interview. A branch of artificial intelligence, machine learning allows computers to adapt to new data without new programming. Bit Stew, based in Vancouver, B.C., is partly backed by GE's venture capital arm. It applies machine learning to large data sets associated with utilities, aviation, oil and gas production and manufacturing, according to the company's web site. International Business Machines Corp's (IBM) Watson business is among the better known artificial intelligence systems, which enable computers to perform intelligent actions such as recognizing voices and making decisions.
