• UMUC & Oldenburg University (USA/Germany)
In 2000: Creation of a joint program: Master of Distance
Education and E-Learning
Division of responsibilities with cooperation between
managers
Around 10 foreign faculty involved: all hired at UMUC
UMUC Degree, now expanding to a German degree
A set of courses are developed and staffed by OL
Several awards (Sloan-C, UCEA, etc.)
Special accreditation through EFMD-CEL

Cooperative programs
Following the model of UMUC’s dual degree
Additional courses are added to primary HBMeU degrees
and allow students to achieve an MDE degree as well
Students join ongoing MDE courses
Students receive HBMeU degree and then UMUC degree

Starts in Fall 2012 with a probably number of 10-15 students
