2. 2 Step Process
• 1st Install: java Package (This is Optional Step,
mostly all computers have java package
installed, if not please install.)
• 2nd Install: Donwload eclipse and install
eclipse.
3. Setting Up the Path for Windows
Assuming you have installed Java in
c:Program Filesjavajdk directory −
1. Right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.
2. Click the 'Environment variables' button under the
'Advanced' tab.
3. Now, alter the 'Path' variable so that it also contains
the path to the Java executable. Example, if the path
is currently set to 'C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32', then
change your path to read
'C:WINDOWSSYSTEM32;c:Program
Filesjavajdkbin'.

11. Open perspective: Select java
This is most important step:
On clicking the symbol….u may have
different option .
But make sure you choose “Java”….
It should be visible as shown above
13. Name the project
Project name and class name is different in java
U can give any Project name….but make sure name of class file
and name mention of class in program must be exact same
since Java is case sensitive.
14. Package Explorer Step 2nd
For example
Name of Project : “Project_Name”
Click on “ + ”symbol and project folder get expanded
As shown in next slide
15. Click to + src + Right click + choose new -> then
class file

17. This is new window will pop up…..Give name of class file under
“Name”…name of class should startng with Capital letter
Also put check mark on “public static void main…”
