ON RAIN
AND
FLOODS
By Emarie Price
Scan this QR Code to find a rain fact.
How rain forms is water vapor evaporates and it turns into
tiny drops of water. Then the water drops turn into a cloud
and then the clouds form into a big cloud. Then the cloud
gets too heavy and it starts to rain and it starts all over again.
This is called the Water Cycle.

                 Rain Fact
Raindrops range from 1/100 inch to ¼ inch.

          Rain Fact
Raindrops fall between 7 and 18 miles per hour.

           Rain Fact
A flood results from days of heavy rain and/or melting
snows, when rivers rise and go over their banks.

             Flood Fact
2 feet of water
can float a large vehicle or even a bus.

      Flood Fact
Flash floods are the #1 weather – related killer in the
U.S.
