there's a practice, policy or rule
which applies to everyone in the
same way, but it has a worse
effect on some people than
others.
 The Equality Act says it puts
you at a particular
disadvantage.

It is discriminate against anyone in the
workplace because of their physical
appearance,
For example, height, weight, body shape,
disfigurement, skin condition, scar or
birthmark.
Also Known As Lookism is a term used to
describe discriminatory treatment towards
physically unattractive people

EXAMPLE!
 You are Muslim and you wear traditional
clothing.
 You call about an apartment and it is
available.
 When you show up to look at it, the
landlord says it is rented, but ad
continues to run in the newspaper. “For
Rent”
 It is illegal to deny someone an
apartment because of their religion — or
for any other prohibited ground.
