2. What is statistical observation?
Statistical observation is a systematic, scientifically organized process of
collecting data on mass phenomena and processes that occur in the
economic, social and other spheres of life of Ukraine and its regions, by
registering them under a special program developed on the basis of statistical
methodology.
In general, statistical observation plays a special role, since the mistakes made
during observation, it is very difficult and sometimes impossible to correct at
subsequent stages of a statistical study. Therefore, when organizing and
conducting statistical observation, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the
rules and requirements of statistical science.
