• Not every art/museum app contains art itself: some of the apps only provide
visiting info, purchasing tickets opportunity and other useful staff
• The most famous art establishments not always have the most advanced apps.
Focus is made on achieving concrete goals, and they could be different: to
give the simple and easy-to use instrument for getting info, remote art
viewing, engagement, additional features (like audio guides) providing,
locating users and leading them inside the building etc.
• Some of museums got several applications: it allows to create focused apps
for special events/ occasions. For example, American Museum of Natural
History got even 6 applications for its special collections. Tate Gallery also got
app for photos adjusting with Rene Magritte artist style.
• Many museums got internal-use only apps (audio guides, QR-codes scanners
etc.) to enrich visitor’s experience.
