Industry Environment
Overview of the industry
Unfortunately, before Eco-cycle, the only choices consumers had for recycling purposes were throwing
it in the “Blue Recycling Bin” and letting the city take care of it, or sorting your own recyclables at
local recycling centers. With the city doing it, you don’t get any money back. When you take it to a
center and do the sorting yourself, you get money back, but at the cost of getting dirty and dealing with
a dirty facility.
Projected position for the future
With the growth of recycling we hope to expand to many locations across the United States including
those that do not offer monetary compensation for recycling.
Potential customers
Consumers who already recycle and are living eco-friendly lives.
Consumers that want to recycle but cannot make time to do it themselves due to
constraints.
Eco-friendly consumers that want to support small business
States that do not offer monetary compensation for recycling
Direct competitors
Traditional recycling companies in locations that are not conventient for customers
Recycling programs offered from waste management

Eco-cycle will help create a cleaner more efficient environment by helping consumers create a
recycling routine that will help clean up the environment and it will help consumers with their time

have lost if they had used the municiple recycling center.
Company strategy
Eco-cycle’s approach will focus on marketing to eco-friendly companies for sponsorship and
partnership as well as to the eco-friendly consumer who wants to do a better job of doing their part.
Eco-cycle will also focus on marketing at festivals and events that promote eco-friendly living with the

Risks
Risks involved with Eco-cycle would include new developers, cost, marketing, and location. With the
success of Eco-cycle there could be other companies trying to capitalize in the growing industry of
recycling. There is a huge market out there because of the increasing knowledge of global warming and
the dwindling ozone layer. The cost to manufacture these machines would be around $50,000 and
above.
We would over come these risks by doing research on the market. We would always be looking for
where we can improve with our company and what we can do to stay ahead of the competition. We will
always make sure that we have that unique edge that other companys wouldn’t be able to provide.
