better environment and create a wider public awareness for recycling.

Company Description
Eco-cycle was created to make recycling more easy and convenient for the consumer. The machine
which is created with recyclable goods will include Infrared Technology that will sort the recyclable
types of metals, plastics, and glass. The process of sorting will be a thing of the past as the machne will
do all the work for you. Our macine is also helpful in preventing bacterial contamination that comes
from having to load and unload your recyclables at the local recycling centers.
5
Industry Environment
Overview of the industry
Unfortunately, before Eco-cycle, the only choices consumers had for recycling purposes were throwing
it in the “Blue Recycling Bin” and letting the city take care of it, or sorting your own recyclables at
local recycling centers. With the city doing it, you don’t get any money back. When you take it to a
center and do the sorting yourself, you get money back, but at the cost of getting dirty and dealing with
a dirty facility.
Projected position for the future
With the growth of recycling we hope to expand to many locations across the United States including
those that do not offer monetary compensation for recycling.
Potential customers
 Consumers who already recycle and are living eco-friendly lives.
 Consumers that want to recycle but cannot make time to do it themselves due to
constraints.
 Eco-friendly consumers that want to support small business
 States that do not offer monetary compensation for recycling
Direct competitors
 Traditional recycling companies in locations that are not conventient for customers
 Recycling programs offered from waste management
6
Marketing
Business opportunity
With Eco-cycle it would be conventient and easy to recycle for everyone. Consumers that don’t have
time to recycle but still want to get the money that they would from going to a recycling center
themselves would benefit from our company.
Company impact
Eco-cycle will help create a cleaner more efficient environment by helping consumers create a
recycling routine that will help clean up the environment and it will help consumers with their time
management by doing the sorting work for them as well as giving them the money back they would
have lost if they had used the municiple recycling center.
Company strategy
Eco-cycle’s approach will focus on marketing to eco-friendly companies for sponsorship and
partnership as well as to the eco-friendly consumer who wants to do a better job of doing their part.
Eco-cycle will also focus on marketing at festivals and events that promote eco-friendly living with the
purpose of signing up consumers for Eco-cycle’s services, as well as to sign up for email newsletters
that will update its members on upcoming changes, new routes, upcoming events, and other eco-
friendly recycling related news.
Benefits matrix
Customer Pain Points Benefits
Limited locations for traditional centers Convenient locations i.e gas stations; supermarkets
Sorting of bottles, cans, etc. Machine sorts items when they are inserted
Crowded lines, waiting for bins More locations means shorter lines, less waiting
Unclean sanitary conditions No mess or much handling of materials
7
Operations
Organizational structure
We will have our CEO, VP, managers, supervisiors, and the technichians. The technicians will be the
people that will go to our sites everyday and empty them. The supervisiors will be with them making
sure that they do it right, they will not be working side by side with the technicians but will just be
making sure that the work gets done.
Capital requirements
With the use of money from that has been donated by eco-friendly companies, celebrity endorsement
deals, etc.
Core operations
Customers will be satisifed with the quality of service offered by Eco-Recycle. Our company will make
sure to address all of the customers needs as we are striving to provide the best service available.
During the recycling process customers will be prompted to answer a few questions about the service
provided by the Eco-cycle machines and customer service. With these surveys we will do our best to
create a better experience for our customers and improve Eco-cycle’s service. There will be little
management. There shall be a driver that will pick up the recycling bi-weekly. The machine will
indicate to the an employee cell phone when it is running low on cash. Once the information is sent
there will be an employee that will be sent to replenish the money dispenser.
Customers will be able to go to our convenient Eco-cycle machines and dump into a sorter all their
bottles and cans. The materials shall be weighed which will determine the amount to be paid. The
machine will use inferred technology to sort out the different types of materials and sort them into their
appropriate bin.

Risks
Risks involved with Eco-cycle would include new developers, cost, marketing, and location. With the
success of Eco-cycle there could be other companies trying to capitalize in the growing industry of
recycling. There is a huge market out there because of the increasing knowledge of global warming and
the dwindling ozone layer. The cost to manufacture these machines would be around $50,000 and
above.
We would over come these risks by doing research on the market. We would always be looking for
where we can improve with our company and what we can do to stay ahead of the competition. We will
always make sure that we have that unique edge that other companys wouldn’t be able to provide.
