• Community Bus – The GCUS collaborates with local providers
to operate on-demand bus services for residents without access

the downtown of Ishinomaki to create jobs for local people
including former restaurant owners.

development program to become a Madre Bonita’s instructor,
who can then regularly hosts workshops in Touhoku.

• With a major in exercise physiology at the University of Tokyo,
Maco developed the first postnatal fitness classes in Japan in

model nationwide through trainer development, and conducts
research on the current issues of postnatal women.

assisting temporary relocations of pregnant women from
Touhoku.

in Touhoku.
Cesar also established a credit association for Filipinos in Hong Kong
and the Center for Japanese-Filipino Families.
Born in Philippines, Cesar worked as a manager of the merchandise
development and design center division of the Philippines government.

The original successful model called Michikusa Komichi, developed
in Okayama, has been replicated to other parts of Japan including
Miyagi and Fukushima.
