Google Glass is a wearable computer with an Optical Head Mounted Display developed by Google.
It has 5 MP camera which can take photos and record 720p HD video.
Touchpad: a touchpad is located at the side of Google Glass to control the device, sliding backward shows current
events such as weather, and sliding forward shows past events such as phone calls, photos, circles, etc.
Voice activation: Glass can be controlled using voice commands. It can be activated by clicking on touchpad or by tilting
wearers head 30⁰ upward. Once Glass is activated wearers can say actions like “Take a picture”, “Record a video”,
“Hangout with (person)”, “Give me directions to Eiffel Tower”, “How do u say Good Morning!! In Thai”, etc.
Explorer edition of Glass receives data Wi-Fi or can be tethered to smartphone via bluetooth.
Single cell lithium polymer battery is placed behind wearers ear to evenly distribute Glass’s weight with display and
mainboard at front.
It has a bone conduction speaker which transmits sound to inner ear through bones of the wearer’s skull.
There a flex PCB which connects main board with Camera, microphone, display and other sensors.
Display: Glass display is smaller than a U.S. dime with a resolution of 640X360 pixels.
Optics: it has a small optical cube on which display’s image will be projected using folded light pathway.
