Subaru has the most significant increase (+21%) of the volume manufacturers;
agreed they carry on their business adhere to a concise strategy, do not resort to
aggressive incentives, probably make a ton of money, and fly under everyone’s
radar.

The mainstream pundits are realising that picks ups are very popular in
Canada…yes we told you so in January…The Love Affair Endures.

CPO sales although good, are impacted by the robustness of new vehicle
programs.

Volvo is perplexing…have wonder what is going on.

Incredible third quarter, and ahead by 3% for the year…strong.

There is a shift away from mid size sedans to CUV’s and small CUV’s.
•
Honda and Toyota are firing on all cylinders and making their presence felt, especially to the
Koreans.
•
Mercedes-Benz and BMW are “bumper to bumper” although they will never admit that they are
competing for the top spot.
•
Fiat and Mini are behind, there are only so many folks that want to pay a premium.
•
Think about this Hyundai+Kia are catching up to GM (168K vs 180K).
•
Yes…Hyundai is ahead of Honda YTD (110K vs 108K).
•
Why is Mazda “blinking”?
•
Fascinating to see who will “double down” and who will “blink” in the last quarter.
