The primary reason behind Node.js becoming popular these days is because of the feasibility it offers to

If a developer wants to develop a mobile version of a web application, then Node.js ecosystem works
finely for the requirement. A developer can do that by maintaining the web application that is already
built on the server and providing a mobile interface which gets data from API to perform business logic.
For the mobile interface, developers have to write portions of business logic in objective c for IOS and
Java for Android.
With Just-in-Time compelling, Node.js can run on Android and it cannot be run on IOS as IOS cannot
support JIT. There is one exception; if it is a jailbroken IOS, then Node.js can be run. Node.js gives a few
reasons for a developer to use it than others. The first is - it is faster to develop a mobile app with
Node.js as it provides 110, 000 free JavaScript modules. The second is - the Node.js allows a developer
to maintain same codebase and platform for both desktop and mobile versions of a web application.
